Arsenal transfer move for Lucas Paqueta ‘very possible’ with Mikel Arteta and Edu keen on £55m Lyon midfielder

ARSENAL are in pole position to sign Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta, according to reports.Paqueta, 24, has emerged as one of Mikel Arteta’s top transfer targets this summer.

The Arsenal boss is a known fan of the Brazilian, who scored 10 goals in 34 appearances last season.
He has even sent scouts to watch him on a number of occasions.
While no formal bid has been made yet, the prospect of a move is ‘very possible’ according to transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, who has suggested that the Gunners will approach Paqueta before making an offer.

Saliba, 21, enjoyed incredible success at Stade Velodrome – even earning a spot in the France squad.
He joined Arsenal for £27million from Saint-Etienne in 2019 but is still yet to make his Gunners first-team debut.

AARON RAMSEY has reportedly rejected a move to Galatasaray as he holds out on a sensational move back to the Premier League. The former Arsenal man has been linked with multiple teams with Juventus making it clear they want him to leave.

But Arsenal are demanding Fulham cough up £11million to sign him, according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenburg.
The Whites are looking at bringing in a goalkeeper this summer but have been quoted £11m – despite Leno being out of contract at the end of next season.
Negotiations between the two clubs remain ongoing with hopes of an agreement being reached.

Ex-Arsenal star Gervinho, 35, ‘agrees transfer terms with Greek outfit Aris after injury-plagued season at Trabzonspor’

FORMER Arsenal winger Gervinho is reportedly set to depart Trabzonspor after just one season having agreed terms with Greek outfit Aris.The 35-year-old, who failed to hit the heights at the Emirates between 2011-2013, only joined the Turkish side last year from Parma.

But he is now set to depart following an injury-hit campaign where he was limited to just nine matches.
The Ivory Coast international suffered a horror anterior cruciate ligament in October which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
Though he still managed to pick up a Super Lig winner’s medal, with the forward chipping in with two goals and an assist prior to his injury.
