Memphis Depay netted the opening goal of the game and Morgan believes he could be a good January signing and be the perfect partner to Gabriel Jesus.
He took to Twitter saying: “Arsenal should sign Memphis in January. Such a good player and would work well up front with Jesus.”
There is a possibility that Depay, 28, could be open to the move with his game time at Barcelona restricted.
He has featured just three times this season scoring one goal for the Catalan giants having seen his minutes on the pitch drop since the arrival of Robert Lewandowski.

He has also been battling injury.
The attacker’s deal expires at the end of this campaign and Barca could look to cash in before losing him for free.
Amid their financial problems, Depay was nearly forced out the club with Barcelona stripping him of his No.9 shirt and giving it to Lewandowski.
They even considered ripping up his contract.
He was close to leaving over the summer but a transfer did not materialise.
He was linked with Juventus, Tottenham and Chelsea.

The ex-Manchester United man was also reportedly a target for his former club.

And following a scan, Brazil confirmed his Qatar journey was over – as well as Manchester United full-back Alex Telles, currently on loan at Sevilla, who was also subbed clutching his knee.
While Telles is expected to need surgery, Jesus’ injury is seen to be less serious – but will still miss the Gunners’ festive period, starting on Boxing Day, a in a serious dent to their early title charge.
It is unclear whether Jesus or Telles will stay with the Brazil camp or return to their clubs for further treatment.
A Brazil statement said: “As announced by the Brazilian FA after the game against Cameroon, players Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus underwent tests on Saturday morning.

“Accompanied by the Brazilian National Team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, they underwent an MRI on the right knee that confirmed the injuries and the impossibility of recovery in time to participate in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
“The coordinator of the Brazilian National Team, Juninho Paulista, is in contact with the sports directors of Arsenal and Sevilla to define whether Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus remain with the squad in Doha to continue the treatment or return to their clubs.”
Brazil head coach Tite is fearing an injury crisis, with star man Neymar sidelined with ankle ligament damage having already missed the last two group games.
Right-back Danilo (ankle) and left-back Alex Sandro (hip) are also doubts for their Last 16 tie against South Korea on Monday.

As for Jesus, he is now set to miss Arsenal’s clash with West Ham on December 26, as well as their New Years’ Eve trip to Brighton and potentially a January 3 game versus Newcastle.
He will then be in a race against time to get back into Mikel Arteta’s squad for two crucial back-to-back fixtures away at rivals Tottenham and then at home to Manchester United later that month.
Arsenal are currently five points clear at the top of the Premier League, having lost just once.
But they will now be reliant on back-up striker Eddie Nketiah to produce the goals that have seen the north London club so far romp the Prem.
Jesus is the second Arsenal player to leave the World Cup early, with defender Ben White leaving the England camp due to personal reasons. More

Arsenal’s Premier League fixture kick-off time against Newcastle changed after Sky Sports request

The clash was meant to get underway at 8pm.
But the fixture has been picked for TV coverage and will now kick off at 7.45pm and be shown live on Sky Sports.
Arsenal will be out for revenge too, because the Mapgies crushed their top four hopes last season.
Travelling to St James’ Park in their penultimate fixture, the Gunners knew that wins from their final two Prem games would see them qualify for the Champions League.

But Mikel Arteta’s men crumbled in front of a raucous Toon Army crowd.
Ben White’s own goal put Newcastle ahead 10 minutes into the second half before Bruno Guimaraes all-but ended Arsenal’s dreams late on.
Remarkably, they’ve only lost once in the league since then – the 2-1 defeat at Manchester United in September.
As a result, the North Londoners are currently five points clear at the top of the Prem.

Therefore, Arsenal will be confident of getting their own back.
And they’ll be huge favourites to do exactly that, not just because they’re the leaders, but their home record in recent months has been exceptional.
Arsenal have won each of their five Emirates fixtures this season and have won their last nine, dating back to the 2-1 defeat to Brighton in April. More

The two Brazilians face Xhaka in Group G with both countries eager for a win that will confirm qualification to the Last 16.
Xhaka said: “We were joking before the World Cup to come here and of course, it is always good if you have team-mates opposite your, but we are professional footballers and for 90 minutes.
“I told Gabby Martinelli and Gabby Jesus if you are running one against one against our goalkeeper I will smash you!
“It doesn’t matter that we are playing in the same team. This is the Word Cup. You play for your own team, you play for your own country and you want to win.

“Of course, they were worried. They know me. If I smash you, it will be very very hard.”

“If you see the next two games, they will be more difficult than Cameroon, on paper.
“We enjoy the three points and now we are focused on Brazil.

The two countries met in the last World Cup and drew 1-1.
Xhaka said: “I expect a different game. If you see the Brazil players, they can put out three teams.

“They have the quality, they have big talents that are coming through, but they know us as well, that it is not always easy to play against us and we want to give them as difficult a game as possible and hopefully we can turn something around for us.”
And Xhaka will tell the Swiss to be wary of revitalised Jesus who has recaptured his form and enjoyment of football since leaving Manchester City for Arsenal in the summer.
Xhaka said: “Of course when you see him every day he makes a big big difference. The guy is unbelievable.First of all he is a lovely person, very humble and the quality he has is unbelievable.

“Maybe at the Emirates, he loves his Arsenal. Yeah, I think that fight could be next for Canelo Alvarez.”

Arsenal boost as club set to win transfer race for Mykhaylo Mudryk with Shakhtar Donetsk ‘dropping price to £40million’

ARSENAL have received a huge boost in the race to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to reports. The Gunners are keen to bolster their title hopes by recruiting a winger in January – with Mudryk fitting the bill.

SunSport revealed that club bosses are willing to inject £50million into the January transfer kitty given their side’s blistering start to the season.
Their hopes of signing Mudryk took a hit earlier this month, when Shakhtar chiefs demanded £88.8million for their star man – comparing him to Manchester United ace Antony.
According to the Mirror, however, the Ukrainian club have now significantly lowered their demands.
They claim that their asking price for Mudryk has been slashed by more than half to £40m.

The development comes after the 21-year-old admitted to being “wounded” by Shakhtar’s demands.
He told Sport Arena: “When I found out about my price, I wasn’t just surprised – I was shocked.
“I have a long-term contract with Shakhtar, I give all my strength and energy so that Shakhtar achieves maximum results, but every football player has a dream to play in a top club and in a top championship – I am no exception.
“But I am 100 per cent sure that they are unlikely to buy a player from the championship of Ukraine for 100million (euros).

“I will not hide that I was very upset. The amount of €100m puts a barrier for my transition to the top championship, which I so dreamed of.
“I can’t say that my dream was killed, but wounded – that’s for sure.”
Mudryk, 21, received strong interest from Prem duo Everton and Brentford last summer.
His stock has only grown since – particularly given his performances in the Champions League.
Arsenal have entered the race for his signature – alongside the likes of Manchester City, Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking earlier this month, Mudryk hinted that his future could lie in North London.

He said: “From a purely theoretical-fantasy perspective, if there was the option of being a bench player for Real Madrid or a starter for Arsenal, I’d probably choose Arsenal.
“But I’d first want to know from the head coach that I’d receive a chance.” More

Xavi missed out on right-backs Cesar Azplicueta, Juan Foyth and Thomas Meunier ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
