Iwabuchi’s January move follows Spurs’ swoop for Bethany England this month in a bid to boost their attacking threat.
The former Chelsea striker wasted no time in proving her scoring capabilities.
She netted on her debut during her new side’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa away last time out.
Iwabuchi, who will wear Spurs’ number 20 shirt, could be in line to make her first appearance for Rehanne Skinner’s side when they take on Leicester City on Sunday.

Of her temporary switch, the attacking midfielder who began her senior playing career at Japanese side Nippon TV Beleza in 2007, said: “Rehanne told me about the club’s ambitions, so I’m very excited to join this journey.
“Now I’m a Spurs player I try to do my best.”
Iwabuchi first moved to the Women’s Super League in December 2020 when she joined Aston Villa from German top-flight side Bayern Munich.
During her stint with the Frauen Bundesliga outfit the playmaker won the top tier title in Germany in the 2014-15 season.

At the time the team also included Vivianne Miedema who played for Bayern from 2014 to 2017 prior to her Arsenal move.
Other current WSL stars who also played for the German giants include Tottenham goalkeeper Tinja-Riika Korpela and midfielder Ramona Petzelberger.

The forward, who is considered to be one of the WSL’s best playmakers, will no doubt be hoping to see more game time for the rest of this season.

Tierney branded ‘Ice King’ as Arsenal star wears short sleeves and shorts while training in freezing temperature

KIERAN TIERNEY has been labelled the “Ice King” after he wore only a short sleeve top and shorts in freezing temperatures in training. The Arsenal defender was soon the talk of Twitter after Football Daily shared footage from the Gunners’ HQ.

It showed Mikel Arteta’s squad taking part in some ball work.
But it was Scottish left-back Tierney, 25, that got most people talking.
While his team-mates opted tracksuit bottoms, long-armed training tops and even some gloves, the ex-Celtic ace opted for the more traditional summer wear.
One fan responded to the clip on Twitter: “Real life Ice King; we also have the Ice Queen at Arsenal Women’s … looks like they were thrown into an icy pool first thing after birth.”

Another wrote: “Because it’s like summer for him.”
Along with crying laughing emojis, another response said: “When everyone seems to be freezing.”
However, not everyone was as nice, with one fan tweeting: “Only time he gets to wear shorts and a T-shirt. Most of the time he’s on the bench wearing what the others are now.”
It is not the first time that Tierney has been the talk of the Gooners for braving the elements.

He warmed up in just a short-sleeved top in January 2021 in the snow at West Brom – before hitting a stunning opener in a 4-0 win.
Tierney was then hailed a “Scottish psycho” for wearing shorts and T-shirt again for training during a blizzard.
And in June the year previous he was hailed for his humbleness by turning up for an FA Cup quarter-final away to Sheffield United with his gear in a Tesco carrier bag.
Tierney and Arsenal are currently riding high as they sit eight points clear at the top of the Premier League and are preparing to face Manchester United on Sunday.
He has made 23 appearances this term for the Gunners, scoring once, but those have mostly come from the bench with summer signing Oleksandr Zinchenko preferred at left-back. More

Arsenal will save for Declan Rice transfer rather than panic buy in January after Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk hijacking

ARSENAL will not be panicked into spending big this month despite being gazumped by Chelsea in the race for Mykhailo Mudryk.Manager Mikel Arteta is still keen to reinforce his squad during the current transfer window.

And missing out on Mudryk has come as a severe setback for the Gunners, who were convinced the Ukrainian international winger would be heading to the Emirates.
But the runaway League leaders will not be splashing out just for the sake of making a January signing.
And Arteta has made it clear that unless the club can find a player of the right age who will improve his squad and fit into his long-term project, he would rather go without anyone this month.
Arsenal’s concern is that having reluctantly offered £62million plus a further £26m in potential add-ons for Mudryk, they have now shown their hand in terms of their available budget.

And they fear that any alternative transfer targets will now come with a similar price tag.
Owner Stan Kroenke has made it clear that there are funds available in this window to bolster Arsenal’s bid for a first League title since 2004.
But any money spent now will affect Arteta’s summer budget, when he has already identified a number of key signings including West Ham captain Declan Rice.
And while the current squad is still short on depth, Arteta feels he has sufficient cover in just about every position to maintain their title challenge without cutting any corners.

Mykhailo Mudryk’s Chelsea wages revealed with £88m signing earning LESS than Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek

CHELSEA new boy Mykhailo Mudryk is earning LESS than Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek despite costing £88million.The Blues agreed a deal that could eventually be worth a whopping £97m to sign the 22-year-old from Shakhtar Donetsk last week.

The Ukrainian winger was presented to the Chelsea faithful at half-time of Sunday’s victory over Crystal Palace after the transfer was confirmed during the game.
He initially looked to be heading to Arsenal before the Stamford Bridge outfit usurped their rivals and offered the winger £10,000-a-week more than the Gunners.
Mudryk agreed an eight-and-a-half year contract which will see him pocket around £97,000 weekly.
However, The Athletic have reported that is less than both Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek.
    READ MORE ON CHELSEA
Hudson-Odoi penned a new five-year deal in 2019 for £100,000-a-week after rejecting the opportunity to join Bayern Munich.
But after falling out of favour, he was shipped off to Bayer Leverkusen on loan at the start of the campaign, and speculation is mounting he could leave this summer.
Meanwhile, midfielder Loftus-Cheek also signed a five-year contract worth £150,000 per week in 2019.
After a loan spell at Fulham in 2020/21, he was starting to get regular action earlier this term before injury struck and he has not played since November 6.

The report also adds that Mudryk’s relatively low salary is part of a new strategy from owner Todd Boehly to lower the wage bill.
Shakhtar Donetsk’s CEO hit out at Arsenal’s conduct over Mykhailo Mudryk – and explained why Chelsea landed the star.
Sergei Palkin said: “It is because Arsenal contacted the player almost one and a half months before they contacted us.
“Can you imagine, for example, to have Mikel Arteta, Oleksandr Zinchenko and the sporting director (Edu) calling you, to have Arsenal calling you almost every day, every two days, every three days?
“Therefore, why did many people around it have the impression that Mudryk was going to Arsenal? It is because Arsenal contacted him and then Mudryk started to watch some games of Arsenal. But negotiations are negotiations.”
While the CEO confirmed he did not make any formal complaints, he did raise the issue with the Gunners’ negotiating team.
Palkin added: “When I met Arsenal and they mentioned they had already talked to the player and they had contacted the player. To be honest, I knew beforehand that they had started to contact him.
“I said, ‘OK, you start to contact him but first of all you should close it with us’. But OK, we have what we have.” More

Chelsea ready to hijack ANOTHER Arsenal transfer deal with bid for Brighton star Trossard after snapping up Mudryk

CHELSEA are ready to hijack ANOTHER Arsenal transfer by bidding for Brighton star Leandro Trossard, according to reports. They recently signed Mykhailo Mudryk from under the Gunners’ noses and could be set for another tussle.

The Ukrainian ace’s move to Stamford Bridge came just days after Chelsea signed another forward in Joao Felix.
But Graham Potter’s side, who are currently 10th in the Premier League, are still looking for further attacking reinforcements.
That’s despite also bringing in young striker David Datro Fofana earlier in the window.
According to the Mirror, they’re in the race to sign Trossard, who’s also wanted by London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal.

Spurs have already seen a £12m bid rejected for the Belgian, while the Gunners want to sign a winger after missing out on Felix and Mudryk.
Trossard’s future at Brighton is in doubt after he recently fell out with manager Roberto De Zerbi.
As a result, he was left out of the squad for the last two games against Middlesbrough and Liverpool with De Zebri criticising his attitude.
Meanwhile, his contract on the South Coast expires in the summer of 2024.

But Brighton are unlikely to sell him for less than £25m.
That’s because prior to his recent fall-out, the 28-year-old had been in excellent goalscoring form this season.
He’s scored seven goals in 17 league matches, including strikes against Chelsea, Manchester City and a hat-trick in the draw at Liverpool.
His form has helped the Seagulls emerge as shock European contenders, with their victory over the Reds leaving them three points behind fifth. More

Ben White has overtaken him in the pecking order and Cedric has been limited to just four appearances in all competitions this season.
Takehiro Tomiyasu is also above him in the right-back ranks.
As a result, the Portugal international has made only one start, the Carabao Cup defeat to Brighton.

Therefore, the ex-Southampton man is hoping to leave the club before the end of the month.
And Football.London claim that he’s moved a step closer to joining Fulham with talks now underway.
But the report states that Mikel Arteta is hesitant about letting him leave with the Arsenal boss viewing him as a key player in the squad despite his lack of game-time.
Cedric’s Emirates contract has 18 months left with his deal expiring in the summer of 2024.

Shakhtar CEO slams Arsenal conduct as he reveals reason club sold Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea in £88m transfer

SHAKHTAR DONETSK’s CEO has hit out at Arsenal’s conduct over Mykhailo Mudryk – and explained why Chelsea landed the star. The two London clubs were locked in intense talks with the Ukrainian club over their young winger.

But Chelsea won out in the end and signed Mudryk in a deal worth £88m.
Mudryk, who was paraded to fans at half-time of Sunday’s win over Crystal Palace, has signed a mammoth eight-and-a-half year contract.
Shakhtar chief Sergei Palkin has spilled the beans on how the deal happened – and why he was not happy at the way Arsenal went about the deal.
Asked why pundits saw the Gunners as favourites for Mudryk, he told the Athletic: “It is because Arsenal contacted the player almost one and a half months before they contacted us.

Palkin also revealed that both Arsenal and Chelsea offered the same “fixed” amount, but the Blues’ bonuses and add-ons were more tempting to Shakhtar.
The chief executive commended Chelsea’s “serious” approach and said he believed they are building “one of the best clubs in the world”.
He added: “Yes, we can talk about bonuses, but these bonuses should be somehow achievable and realistic, let’s say. Therefore, in this case, Chelsea was much more serious and fair in some points.
“When we met Chelsea, we stayed all together. For you to understand the context, it was for nine or 10 hours. They invited the player and explained to us the whole project.
“We realised that, yes, if you look right now, Chelsea have some kinds of problems but it is normal because they have a transition period from one owner to another. It is understandable. They would like to change a lot.”
The signing of Mudryk is the fifth acquisition of the window already for Chelsea.
The 22-year-old follows the loan move of Joao Felix and the permanent deals for Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos.

The West Londoners hijacked their rivals’ bid to land the winger in the January transfer window after reaching a deal worth a total of £88million with Shakhtar.
The Ukrainian giants’ CEO Sergei Palkin confirmed that Chelsea beat the North Londoners thanks bonuses largely related to them winning the Premier League and Champions League.
However, there is no added clause relating to the 22-year-old potentially winning the Ballon d’Or, like his previous manager Robert De Zerbi – now at Brighton – predicted.
And those terms will remain active across the entirety of the Ukraine international’s eight-and-a-half-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Shakhtar weren’t happy with the Gunners’ final offer worth €70million (£62m) plus €30m (£26m) in add-ons.
