He went to the World Cup with Spain but has struggled to nail down a regular spot in Xavi’s side this year, starting just seven league games.
That has sparked interest from United and Arsenal with the Red Devils said to be leading the race to sign the winger.
However Cope report both clubs have spoken to Fati’s agent Jorge Mendes about a potential transfer.
But deal could prove tricky with Fati under contract until 2027.

He also has a release clause worth £898million which underlines how highly Barca value him.
United and Arsenal were still keen to make their interest known in case the possibility of an exit emerges, with Fati said to be unhappy with his playing time.
Barcelona also have financial problems and LaLiga chief Javier Tebas has told the club they must reduce the amount they pay on salaries per year by £177million.
That means the Spanish giants could be forced to sell big stars like Fati and Frenkie de Jong.

Arsenal facing fight for Moises Caicedo transfer in summer as Liverpool become ‘dark horses’ for Brighton star

ARSENAL are reportedly facing a huge fight this summer for Moises Caicedo as Liverpool have become the “dark horses” to sign the Brighton star. The 21-year-old attempted to force a late move away from the Seagulls last month.

The Ecuadorian international took to social media to publicly plead with the club to allow him to seal a dream move to Arsenal.
The Gunners tabled a number of bids for the ace, with the highest being £70million, but each one was rejected by their Premier League rivals.
Chelsea were also keen on Caicedo with manager Graham Potter having previously signed and managed the player at Brighton before taking the role at Stamford Bridge.
However, now Liverpool have emerged as a serious threat to both teams in what could turn out to be a summer scramble for the player.

Jurgen Klopp is known to be searching for midfield reinforcements after the disappointments of this season.
And journalist Ben Jacobs told TEAMtalk the Reds are “dark horses” in the battle to sign Caicedo due to Arsenal now making West Ham’s Declan Rice their “number one midfield target”.
He said: “We can’t rule out Arsenal as well but it remains to be seen if they’ll pay the same kind of fee that they were offering in January. Caicedo’s price could actually drop a little bit rather than go up.
“Chelsea could also be back, as they’ll want more than one midfielder and Caicedo has worked with Graham Potter before.

“Liverpool might be ones to watch as well, as they’ve had a historical interest in Caicedo since before he moved to Brighton.
“However, they never bid in January, contrary to what reports said. The reason for that is two-fold, one because they didn’t see value at the kind of figures being quoted and two, because the agent situation was complicated and those are not the type of deals that Liverpool normally do.
“But if we get to the summer and the deal becomes simpler and falls within Liverpool’s valuation then they could go for Caicedo too.”
Meanwhile, Caicedo’s agent, Manuel Sierra, has slammed Brighton for denying his client a dream move.
The South American has taken the Premier League by storm since stepping into the Brighton set-up initially under Potter following a £5m move from Independiente del Valle in his homeland two years ago.
Under current manager Roberto De Zerbi his development has continued at a rapid pace, with Brighton continuing to march up the table. More

I feared I’d die in boozy session with Ray Parlour as Arsenal won Double – now I’m backing Mikel Arteta’s title chasers

GILLES GRIMANDI feared for his LIFE on a drinking session with Ray Parlour at Arsenal.Former France ace Grimandi, 52, joined in summer 1997 when the infamous “Tuesday Club” was still going.

It was led by the likes of Parlour and skipper Tony Adams and Grimandi told SunSport: “I was only starting to speak English but I like good company so wanted to go.
“I went one day and I met many good drinkers. I said to Ray soon after, ‘I need to go home or I am going to die!’ Ray was laughing.
“I was very surprised. Another day, a French player was smoking and the English players were shocked.
“Yet the day before they were totally drunk and it wasn’t shocking. We had very different approaches to drinking and smoking.”

Fast forward 15 years and for the first time in a long time, Arsenal are clear at the Premier League summit.
And high in the French Alps, a former two-time Gunners Double winner is starting to believe that Mikel Arteta has what it takes to emulate the great Arsene Wenger.
Ex-French star Gilles Grimandi, 52, became something of a North London cult hero from 1997 to 2002 — winning two Premier Leagues and two FA Cups.
In his first season in England, he was part of an incredible dressing room that overcame a 12-point gap from February 1998 to pip Manchester United to the title.

Twenty five years on and Arteta’s men are the ones being chased, five points clear with a game in hand on Manchester City heading into the home stretch.
Yet speaking from his birthplace of Gap in south-east France — 750 metres above sea level — Grimandi sees the similarities between the past and present.
Ex-midfielder Grimandi told SunSport: “To win the title, it is about confidence.
“You can play with the same players in a different season and you can just finish mid-table.
“What is important is the manager convincing the players that they can do it. That’s not easy.
“In that 1998 season, we were in trouble. We were behind Manchester United by a lot of points.
Grimandi believes Mikel Arteta can inspire Arsenal to some of the success the Gunners enjoyed in the late 90sCredit: Richard Pelham / The Sun
“However, even then, Arsene was convincing us that we could come back. We didn’t believe it at first but he was always convinced we could.
“As soon as it is in your head, when you believe you are strong enough and start to get results, you can win a title.
“Every time we were on our way to a game, we were convinced that nothing wrong could happen, that we would win.
“I was not there for the Invincibles — but it felt exactly like that.
“Likewise, Mikel Arteta is convinced that they can do it and I am more convinced now than I ever have been.
“I am an optimist, because I would love to see Arsenal win the title. But they now have the confidence to beat everyone.
Grimandi played alongside legends such as Dennis BergkampCredit: Getty
“Even if they lose against Manchester City next week, they are convinced in their head that it can be done. It was not like this before.
“They haven’t made too many mistakes this season and I cannot see what will happen to see them lose the title. They will do it and I really hope they do. They deserve it.”
It has been just under four years since Grimandi was involved in football.
His short tenure as Nice technical director, working alongside old friend Patrick Vieira, ended in October 2019 following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s purchase of the club with INEOS.
Before that, he worked as an Arsenal scout for 13 years, where he witnessed the club’s slow decline from 2006 onwards and the increasing difficulty in persuading players to join.
He recalled: “The job of scouting is about finding but also missing players. For me, it is Kylian Mbappe. We just could not convince him.
Arsenal ‘just could not convince’ Kylian Mbappe to join the club in 2013Credit: Getty
“He was out of contract in June 2013 and we met him in February. If we could have convinced him to join, he would have changed the club — but he then decided on Monaco.
“Arsenal were not always playing their best so it was quite complicated. At first it was easy, as soon as we talked to a player he wanted to sign it.
“However, if you are not getting results it is difficult to bring top players to help the team.
“That’s why it is important to stay at the top for as long as possible. It is so much easier.
“Yet the likes of Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah, who I watched develop, prove you should never forget the talent you have inside your club, even in difficult times.”
By his own admission, Grimandi was not “especially talented”, and arrived in a dressing room in July 1997 brimming with experienced stars and intimidating characters.
Martin Keown was one of many Arsenal legends Grimandi shared a pitch withCredit: Getty
But it was not long before that squad’s physicality and aggression rubbed off on him.
In October 2000, Lazio’s Diego Simeone required six stitches after being struck by Grimandi in a Champions League clash.
The Frenchman was also sent off in September 1999 for blatantly elbowing Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola at the Nou Camp.
When reminded of these incidents, Grimandi explained: “If you are not physical, you cannot win any trophies. We knew any opponent would find it tough against us.
    Read More on The Sun
“Maybe we lacked some physical ability with some of the more mature players. But our character was exceptional with Vieira, Martin Keown, Tony Adams and Dennis Bergkamp.
“When I think about the five years, I realise now what it means to win trophies. But you also spend time with people that you will never forget.” More

Arsenal could cash in on Folarin Balogun in summer transfer as they are faced with dilemma for on-loan striker

ARSENAL could cash in on Folarin Balogun in the summer despite the striker currently outshining Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in France.Balogun, 21, is the leading scorer in Ligue 1 with 14 goals for Stade de Reims.

The young forward could permanently leave Arsenal in the summerCredit: Getty
And no-one has been more surprised by his success than Arsenal, who didn’t anticipate him being so prolific when they agreed to loan him to the French minnows for the season.
But Reims’ English boss Will Still has been so impressed with the New York-born target man he describes as “a super complete striker” that he asked if they could sign Balogun on a permanent deal in the recent transfer window.
That request was rejected by Arsenal, who have still not decided what to do with Balogun or whether he plays a part in Mikel Arteta’s long-term plans.
But with only 18 months remaining on his Emirates contract, they will either have to hand Balogun a lengthy new deal at the end of the season or sell him for maximum profit.
    READ MORE ON ARSENAL
And they certainly won’t be short of offers for a player who didn’t exactly set the Championship alight when he was loaned out to Middlesbrough for the second half of last season.
Now Arteta must determine if there is a realistic chance of Balogun forcing his way in front of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah to lead the Arsenal attack.

The most likely scenario at the moment is that they will keep him at the club for the first half of the season to see if he is ready to play at Premier League and Champions League level.
And if he is unable to pin down a regular place in the team, he would then be sent out on loan again to gain more regular first team football.

But that cannot happen if he is in the final year of his contract and eligible to leave as a free agent in 2025.
And Arsenal’s concern is that if they do keep him next season and he fails to maintain the form he is currently showing, his market value will drop.
England Under-21 international Balogun, who is also eligible to play for the USA and Nigeria, recently insisted: “Arsenal is my family.
“But I’ve spent my whole career in England and I knew it was going to be a different test when I came to Reims.
“I didn’t know the language and I’m still trying to learn, but it was important for me to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself.
“That’s the reason I’m here and hopefully it’s a decision that will pay off for me.
“I’ve already reached my target for the start of the season and now I want to do even better and I’m hoping to score 20 goals.”
If he succeeds in that ambition, it will be hard for Arteta to ignore the clamour for Arsenal to keep Balogun and make him a part of their plans.
    Read More on The Sun
But the feeling within the club is that it takes a lot more to shine in the Premier League than it does in France.
And until Balogun has shown that he can succeed against the best teams in England the jury remains out. More

Arsenal set to make second Dusan Vlahovic transfer raid this summer but Man Utd also want Juventus striker

ARSENAL are “very likely” to make a second attempt to sign Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports. But the Gunners could have competition from Manchester United for the striker.

Arsenal tried to land Vlahovic from Fiorentina in January 2022 but missed out on the transfer when the Serbian decided to join Juventus instead in a £66million deal.
However, things have not gone to plan for the forward, who is said to want out.
His 16 goals in 38 games is not a bad return but Juventus are in disarray after crashing out of the Champions League and being slapped with a 15-point Serie A deduction for their illegal transfer activity.
Now Juve News report Arsenal may try and bounce on the unrest and instability at the Allianz Stadium to bring in Vlahovic.
    READ MORE ON ARSENAL
Journalist Niccolo Ceccarini said: “A hot summer also seems to be on the horizon for forwards. One of them is definitely Vlahovic.
“The Premier League is now moving at another great [level] and is potentially able to present very high offers, and Italy remains of the favourite destinations.
“Arsenal had already tried to sign him before the transfer to Juventus.
“The idea remained and at the end of the season, a new attempt is very likely.

“In England, however, they are not the only one. Manchester United has also started to move. The situation is evolving.”
Arsenal responded to missing out on Vlahovic by spending £45m on Gabriel Jesus in the summer.

The Brazilian settled well into life at the Emirates but required surgery on his knee which has ruled him out since the World Cup.
That has left Eddie Nketiah as Mikel Arteta’s only senior genuine centre-forward.
So the prospect of adding Vlahovic as another option come the summer would provide more competition to an attack likely to be playing in the Champions League come September.
However, United also look on course to be playing at Europe’s top table next season – and are even more in need of a new No9.
The exits of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani have seen Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford fill in through the middle before Wout Weghort arrived on loan.
But the Red Devils will prioritise a new striker – with 19-cap Vlahovic among the options.
Harry Kane, World Cup hero Goncalo Ramos, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and RB Salzburg star Benjamin Sesko have all been linked as possible alternatives. More

But it was Man Utd who were leading the race to sign him ahead of the 2022/23 season as they looked to bolster the centre of their midfield.
They eventually landed on Brazilian Casemiro, 30, as he arrived at Old Trafford from Real Madrid for £70m.
But according to talkSPORT, United were not so lucky when it came to their mammoth offer for Rice as West Ham turned down £100m.
And the reports are that it will take £120m plus add-ons to secure the England international this summer.

That is despite his contract expiring in 2024.
Rice is being closely monitored by both Arsenal and Chelsea as they prepare to do battle for the Kingston-born midfielder at the end of the season.

N’Golo Kante is also set to become a free agent in the summer if he does not pen a new deal.
Rice has made 222 appearances for West Ham since breaking through in 2017, contributing 11 goals and 12 assists.
He has also received 39 England caps and become one of Gareth Southgate’s most trusted lieutenants in recent years.
And during the Qatar World Cup, Rice dropped a big hint he was open to leaving West Ham.
Speaking in an England press conference, he was asked if he is hungry to win titles at club level, to which he replied: “Yeah, 100 per cent. For the last two or three years I’ve been saying that.
“I’ve been consistently playing well for my club. I want to win trophies for my club.
“You only get one career and you want to look back at what you’ve won and play in the biggest games. I am really ambitious and I want that.”
West Ham currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, just one point above the relegation zone.
They are still in both the FA Cup and Europa Conference League. More

Why Gabriel was not given penalty against Everton after Arsenal star was tripped in box

AN EXPLANATION has been given as to why Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes did not get a penalty despite being tripped in the box by Everton’s Neal Maupay. The Gunners were defeated 1-0 by the Toffees on Saturday in what looked to be a bitter blow to their title hopes.

However, they received a huge favour from North London rivals Tottenham as Harry Kane’s record-breaking goal was enough to beat Manchester City 24 hours later.
That kept them five points clear at the top of the Premier League table – but some Gooners believe they should have had the opportunity to at least earn a draw ay Goodison.
Just moments after James Tarkowski had headed Everton ahead, Arsenal were claiming a penalty.
Gabriel appeared to have been tripped by Blues ace Maupay, which sent the Brazilian clattering into Idrissa Gueye.

The referee awarded Everton a free-kick, leading to even more protests from the visitors.

He said: “Well actually the initiation of contact was from the Arsenal player so I don’t think this will be given as a penalty kick, certainly there was enough contact there, but not a penalty kick.”
