The Gunners boss has led his side to the brink of a first Premier League title since 2004.
And Sunday’s 4-1 win over Crystal Palace saw Arsenal pull seven points clear of Man City at the top of the table.
However, the Londoners were unable to maintain their charge in the Europa League last week.
And Arteta wants more top-quality options so Arsenal can push hard in all competitions next season.

Defence is an area he wants to strengthen after seeing William Saliba and Takehiro Tomiyasu limp off in Thursday’s defeat to Sporting Lisbon.
And Aksam claims Gala right-back Boey is at the top of Arteta’s shopping list.
The French ace, 22, has been playing in Turkey for over 18 months after previously starring at Rennes and Dijon.
Like January signing Jakub Kiwior, he is rated as a top future prospect while also having already gained plenty of first-team minutes.

Liverpool were linked with a January move for Boey, while Lyon had a £7million bid recently turned down.
The star is tied down to Gala until 2025, and they will want at least £10m this summer.
Boey’s arrival could see Tomiyasu switch flanks to become second choice at left-back.
And that could see Kieran Tierney sweat over his Emirates future after another injury-plagued campaign.
Versatile Tomiyasu can also play at centre-back, which may yet raise doubts over Rob Holding’s place. More

However, they will have to do without France defender William Saliba.
The 21-year-old limped off against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League last-16 clash and had to be replaced by Rob Holding.
Now, reports in France suggest his absence from the first team could be long term.
L’Equipe claim the centre back could be missing for “several weeks”, and is set to withdraw from international duty.

Saliba was due to link up with the France squad for matches against the Netherlands and Ireland.
However, he will now be set for an extended period of time on the treatment table as he aims to recover for Arsenal’s title bid.
Saliba has been a mainstay in the Premier League leaders’ backline – forming a formidable partnership with Brazilian Gabriel.
The pair have been key to Mikel Arteta’s plans – helping their side rise to the top of the table.

Ex-Saint-Etienne stopper Saliba joined the North London giants in 2019 for £27million.
However, initially he appeared to struggle to settle in his new surroundings and was shipped out on loan.
Following a mixed spell at Nice, Saliba found his footing at Marseille and earned rave reviews in Ligue 1 last season.
This campaign, he has continued to blossom into one of Europe’s most promising defenders with a series of commanding displays at the back.

The annual wage bill for each Premier League club
That is a world away from the biggest budget in the Premier League – which is held by Chelsea at £212m.
Todd Boehly’s £600m spending spree over the last nine months has seen them edge ahead of Man Utd in the wage bill standings – with the Red Devils shelling out £211m.
They are followed by Man City at £182m, Liverpool at £158m and Tottenham at £110m.
Then come Arsenal – the first side limiting their wage bill to under the £100m mark.

The biggest budgets outside of the top six come from Aston Villa, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle – all between £76m and £90m.
They are followed by Leicester, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Wolves and Southampton.
Among the most threadbare wage bills are Leeds, Bournemouth and seventh-place Brighton – who spend just £35m per year on their players’ salaries.
But the smallest annual wage bill is Brentford’s.
Thomas Frank’s entire squad earns just over £30m per year – but are punching well above their financial weight as they sit eighth in the Premier League table. More

Mitoma, who delayed signing a professional contract in his homeland with Kawasaki Frontale at 19 to instead go to university and wrote a thesis on dribbling, arrived on the South Coast for a fee of just £2.7m in 2021.
Now his displays have seen his valuation rocket to around £35m with a host of clubs keen to snap him up.

Arsenal 1 Sporting 1 (agg 3-3 aet, pens 3-5): Gunners crash OUT of Europa League as Martinelli misses crucial spot-kick

KIM KARDASHIAN brought a touch of Tinseltown sparkle to North London but even she couldn’t help Arsenal keep up with their double ambitions. The queen of reality TV was a surprise Emirates onlooker as Mikel Arteta’s weary warriors lost their way again in Europe.

Gabriel Martinelli was left heart-broken when his shoot-out penalty was saved by keeper Antonio Adan.
And though Arsenal still have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points on Sunday, Arteta will still be counting the cost of going so strong in a competition which has never been top of the club’s priorities.
For first-half injuries to Takehiro Tomiyasu and William Saliba means they are now facing a defensive dilemma just when they need all hands to the pump.
And with Gabriel Jesus only lasting 45 minutes before being replaced by Leandro Trossard, many fans will be wondering why Arteta took so many risks.
    Read More Arsenal News
Yet it wasn’t so much the injuries as the nature of this defeat which will be causing Arteta sleepless nights.
Just as in the first leg in Lisbon last week, his team were unable to hold on to an early lead and were repeatedly exposed by the raw pace of Sporting’s forwards.
And while it might have required an extraordinary 46-yard equaliser to drag the former Portuguese Champions back into this tie, no-one can deny that they deserved their place in the quarter-final draw.
In the end it took a penalty shoot-out to finally separate two teams who gave their absolute all in this relentless battle of wills.

Aaron Ramsdale went the right way for all five Sporting pens but just couldn’t keep any of them out of his net.
And though Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard all hit the back of the net, Martinelli’s miss was an agonising way for Arsenal to exit the competition.
Yet no-one could have seen such a dramatic finale coming when Arsenal took the lead in the 19th minute after Jorginho’s piercing through ball had sent Gabriel Martinelli haring in on goal.
And though Adan was able to keep out the young Brazilian’s low shot with an outstretched boot, he was powerless to prevent Xhaka’s follow-up thumped into the roof of the net.
Jesus thought he should have had a penalty when he was upended by Matheus Reis but had strayed marginally offside before he raced into the area.
And he was out of luck again in the 30th minute when he weaved his way past three defenders but was thwarted by another fine reaction save from Adan.
Yet it was never straightforward for Arsenal and they were fortunate to escape a mix-up between Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ramsdale following a long punt out by Adan.
While both men left it to the other to deal with the threat, Marcus Edwards was allowed to get a clear sight of goal before Zinchenko finally stepped in to block.

There was another lack of communication in the ranks shortly before half-time and this time Jermiah St. Juste was able to charge right through the heart of the Arsenal defence before firing over from the edge of the area.
Arsenal seemed intent on sleepwalking their way into trouble and sure enough they found themselves deep in the brown stuff in the 62nd minute when they were hit with an absolute bolt from the blue.
Xhaka and Jorginho were unable to retain possession but there still seemed little danger when Pedro Goncalves took possession on the halfway line.
But the Portuguese international clearly had other ideas and spotting Ramsdale off his line sent the ball soaring over the Arsenal keeper’s head from an astonishing 46 yards out.
It was a remarkable goal by anyone’s standards and let’s hope that Kim doesn’t think that kind of thing happens every week.
But if Ramsdale was caught out on that one, he more than made amends with a huge save ten minutes later when Edwards was in on goal again.
    Read More on The Sun
That was enough to take the tie into extra-time, when Trossard had a shot tipped against a post, and Rob Holding headed just over.
But even when Manuel Ugarte was shown a second yellow for a shocking challenge on Saka, Arsenal couldn’t take advantage of their numerical superiority to avoid the lottery of a shoot-out. More
