That is the initiative set up by heroic president Volodymyr Zelenskyy to receive charitable donations to support Ukraine, who are fighting to defend their territory against the illegal Russian invasion.
Zinchenko and Shevchenko – who coached the Ukrainian national team between 2016-2021 – travelled to the Mykhailo-Kotsyubinsky Lyceum in Chernihiv Oblast, northern Ukraine.
The village was under occupation for 33 days from February 27 last year, with around 100 people hiding in the shelter inside the secondary school.
A third of them were children, with the youngest only two months old.

On March 4, Russian missiles fired on the school, killing a worker on the first floor and destroying 90 per cent of the roof as well as the classrooms for physics, computer science and chemistry.
Funds will be raised to rebuild the school from the Game4Ukraine charity match.
It will be held at Shevchenko’s old stomping ground, Stamford Bridge, on August 5.
Zinchenko and Shevchenko will captain each side, Team Yellow and Team Blue, the two colours of the Ukrainian flag, and tickets are on sale now.

Zinchenko enjoyed a strong first season at Arsenal as he cemented himself among the club’s most important players.
However, he suffered disappointment at the end of the season as the Gunners’ saw their title challenge fade away after a run of poor results allowed Manchester City to overtake them.
He was heartbroken by the scenes from his homeland after Russia invaded back in February 2022.
And he was anxious over the well-being of his family – with his granddad and aunt refusing to join the thousands fleeing the country.
Zinchenko was desperate to go and help his people – but was convinced by family and friends to stay in the North West and carry on playing for former side City.
In the meantime, he has done his bit to keep his country’s sad plight in the public eye. More

Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe NOT for sale with youngster still a key man despite not starting a match last season

ARSENAL do not want to sell Emile Smith Rowe this summer. The academy product, 22, had a frustrating season with injury and was limited to just 14 appearances – which included NO starts.

It had led to talk he could be shipped out in the closed season as Mikel Arteta looks to freshen up his squad ahead of a renewed title challenge next term.
But SunSport understands the Gunners have no plans to let Smith Rowe go.
Indeed, they still see the playmaker as a key part of Arteta’s plans and hope he will play a far bigger role in next season.
Smith Rowe will go away with the England Under-21s next month for the Euros in Georgia and Romania and look to return to pre-season training in tip-top condition.

The youngster, who has three appearances and a goal for the senior side, had surgery in September on a groin problem which had dogged him for four years.
He revealed in March how worried he was over whether he would return the same player, but also insisted he was finally “pain free”.
Smith Rowe joined Arsenal at the age of 10 in 2010.
He signed his first professional contract in July 2018 and made his first-team debut against Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League two months later.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly ‘left shocked after Tuchel rejected chance to complete transfer for in-form Arsenal star’

CHELSEA owner Todd Boehly was left shocked when Thomas Tuchel rejected the chance to sign Gabriel Jesus last summer. The striker left Manchester City last summer and has since impressed at Arsenal this season.

Chelsea reportedly made a last ditch attempt to hijack the deal with the player heading to their London rivals.
However, the Guardian report that Tuchel prevented the move and there was “surprise” amongst the board over his decision.
The Blues struggled for goals this term, netting only 38 times in the Premier League.
Problems with strikers were a continuous theme throughout the campaign with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz not hitting top form.

Meanwhile, Jesus led Arsenal to a second place finish, scoring 11 league goals despite missing months because of knee surgery.
Reports suggest that the club listened to Tuchel’s wishes on transfers last summer.
He wanted to spend big on defence after losing Antonio Rudiger as well as Andreas Christensen and the choice was also made due to fitness issues regarding Reece James and Ben Chilwell.
Tuchel then splashed £160million on Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Kouliably.

The now Bayern Munich boss was sacked after his relationship with the board became frosty and he was replaced by Graham Potter, who was then axed after just seven months.
Mauricio Pochettino will now take over as manager for next season following on from Frank Lampard’s interim spell.
Boehly is expected to step back from running the club, which was reportedly always the plan, and not because of poor results on the pitch. More

Arsenal ‘closely following highly-rated Leeds star’s situation but face transfer battle with Man City’

ARSENAL are understood to be tracking highly rated Leeds winger Wilfried Gnonto – but face competition from Manchester City. The 19-year-old Italian was one of the few bright sparks during a miserable campaign for all involved at Elland Road.

Gnonto racked up four goals and four assists during his debut season for Leeds with his performances earning him call-ups to Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad.
According to Italian source Calcio Mercato, Gnonto has admirers in his native Italy with Fiorentina, Sassuolo and Roma all retaining a long-term interest in the winger.
But the Italian publication reports that both Arsenal and Manchester City are now keeping tabs on the winger.
Gnonto was brought in for £10million from Swiss side FC Zurich last summer as part of a recruitment drive that saw Leeds bring in a number of young players with high potential.
    READ MORE ON ARSENAL
He arrived alongside the likes of Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams to bolster ex-manager Jesse Marsch’s squad.
But the strategy proved to be disastrous, with Leeds sacking both Marsch and Javi Gracia before seeing their Championship status confirmed under Sam Allardyce’s tutelage.
Their relegation was confirmed on Sunday with an insipid 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, with their tally of 78 goals conceded this season being the worst in the Premier League.
And fans were quick to turn on a number of Leeds’ signings this season with Juventus loanee Weston Mckennie walking off to chants of “You fat b******” as he was substituted at Elland Road.

Gnonto showed his potential in flashes, with an upturn in form in March seeing him record assists in successive games against Brighton and Wolves.
But an ankle injury he suffered while on international duty for Italy meant he struggled to nail down a starting place under both Gracia and Allardyce.
According to Sport Witness, other reports in Italy have suggested that Leeds may look to keep Gnonto for another season as they look to bounce back to the Premier League.
But it is understood the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City view the winger as a player with high potential given his young age and Prem experience. More

Arsenal shocked by William Saliba’s wage demands and could be forced to sell defender this summer as PSG eye transfer

ARSENAL are struggling to sort out a new contract with William Saliba and Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring developments. The French international only has a year remaining on his current £40,000-a-week deal and the Gunners are desperate to secure his services on a long-term basis.

Mikel Arteta’s side are ready to offer Saliba, 22, £120k-a-week to be their defensive rock for seasons to come.
But they have been shocked by the demands being made by the centre-back’s representatives and are currently nowhere near reaching an agreement.
And Arsenal fear that Qatari-backed PSG will pay Saliba whatever it takes to lure him to the Parc des Princes.
Boss Arteta insists that Saliba is a crucial part of his long-term plans and has no intention of selling him this summer.

But the North London giants are not prepared to let him run down his contract and leave as a free agent next year.
So now Arsenal are working overtime to reach a compromise agreement and end all the uncertainty surrounding the key defender.
Saliba is understood to be one of the lowest paid players in the first-team at the Emirates.
Arsenal acknowledge they need to award him a substantial increase to recognise his importance to the team and plan to put him on an equal footing with the likes of Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

But that is miles away from the kind of money French Champions PSG are capable of paying him, particularly if they can get him for a cut-price fee with only a year of his contract to run.
Arsenal paid £27million to sign Saliba from Saint-Etienne in 2019 but he has only played one season for the club after spending his first three years on loan back with his old club and then at Nice and Marseille.
He was the mainstay of Arteta’s defence last season until a back injury ruled him out of the last 11 games of the season, which coincided with the team’s laste collapse in the title race.
The club’s medical team have ruled out the need for surgery and hope he will recover in time for the start of pre-season training in July.
He has finally settled into life in London after initially being reluctant to return from his loan spell at Marseille last year and has proved to be a huge favourite both in the dressing-room and with the supporters.
And having recently agreed lengthy new deals with Bukayo Saka and Ramsdale, Saliba’s contract is now top priority for the Emirates hierarchy. More

Tony Adams: Arsenal’s squad has peaked… they may NEVER hit this level again

MIKEL ARTETA worked wonders to get Arsenal into second place considering the players he had at his disposal. But when a manager has massively over-performed and raised a club’s expectations so high, there’s often a fallout if the level of improvement isn’t maintained the following season.
Mikel Arteta saw Arsenal’s title bid crumble as they gave up a big lead on Man CityCredit: Reuters
Arsenal legend Tony Adams fears the Gunners might not be able to challenge againCredit: Getty
And when that happens, he’s often gone by Christmas.
Now I am not for one minute suggesting that the Gunners are going to be getting rid of Arteta, but I do fear that this could be as good as it gets for them.
Talk of Arsenal bottling the title race was nonsense because they played to their absolute maximum and came up just short of the best team in the world.
No one expected them to finish so high but the downside to all that is where do they go from here?
    Read More Arsenal News
I hate to sound like a prophet of doom, but I do believe that a lot of this team has already peaked.
It was possibly the best season that many of them will ever have. I don’t think they’ll get to that level again.
They’re definitely not going to challenge Manchester City next season and without serious recruitment this summer it will be a struggle for them to finish runners-up again.
City’s B team is better than any other Premier League side and we know that Newcastle, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea will all be much stronger next time out.

So if Arsenal want to push on from here, they have to sign four big, experienced leaders this summer.
Declan Rice could certainly be one of those, but if I’m going to spend £100million on one player, I want a Jack Grealish type of player who is going to give me goals and assists, not a holding midfielder.
The problem is that Arsenal want players who are already acclimatised to English football and they’re always going to be overpriced when you buy from your Premier League rivals.
Ben White cost £50m and we still don’t know if he is meant to be a centre-half, a right-back or a central midfielder.
Arsenal need another centre-half, a striker, a midfielder and a winger. And they all need to be better than the players they already have.
They have spent more than £400m on new signings since Arteta was appointed in 2019 but none of them were players City would have wanted.
I am not for one minute suggesting that the Gunners are going to be getting rid of Arteta, but I do fear that this could be as good as it gets for them.Tony Adams
They’ve always fished in the pool of second dibs, but you don’t catch the serial champions without recruiting the same elite level of player.
Unfortunately I don’t think they have the cash to buy everything they need this summer and that’s why I fear they have already missed their window of opportunity to win the title.
I was talking with George Graham the other day and he said this Arsenal team has no resilience. They had a technical leader but no physical leaders to stand strong in the games that really mattered.
There wasn’t enough experience in the camp from top to bottom.
I also don’t think there are enough people in the backroom staff challenging the manager like me and Joe Jordan did when we worked with Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth.

Legend Adams is worried about Arsenal and Arteta’s futureCredit: Louis Wood
Arteta said that none of his players had reached their peak and denied that they ran out of steam.
Well, sorry Mikel, but I have to disagree on both counts. Mentally, physically and emotionally, they ran out of resources when some lost form and others were ruled out by injury.
I get the impression that Arteta didn’t have much faith in his back-up players and so he picked the same team week after week when some of them were crying out for a rest.
Every time I won the league with Arsenal, we always had magnificent back-up players sitting on the bench.
David O’Leary,  Ian Wright, Martin Keown, Sylvain Wiltord, Freddie Ljungberg, Gilberto Silva, some of the greatest players in the club’s  history, all served as understudies at one point or another.
There’s no one of that calibre currently waiting in the Emirates wings and that’s why they couldn’t sustain their title challenge all the way to the finishing post.
Of course they’ll regret not snatching the title when it was up for grabs because a lot of things went their way in terms of going unbeaten in all of their London derbies and so many other big clubs messing up.
Someone said to me the other day that the 84 points Arsenal finished with would have been enough to win the title in some previous eras.
City’s B team is better than any other Premier League side and we know that Newcastle, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea will all be much stronger next time out.Tony Adams
But that’s totally irrelevant because awesome City have raised the bar so much higher and are turning it into a one-team league.
They are so dominant that it’s becoming boring, so at least we should thank Arsenal for giving them a run for their money.
And while I get the opportunity, I also want to put on record that the supporters have been absolutely magnificent.
I played my entire career at the Highbury Library and George always used to tell us that we couldn’t rely on the crowd to get us going. But the Ashburton Army and the North London Forever anthem means the Emirates is a proper stadium for the first time since we’ve been here.
It wasn’t so long ago that there was a pretty toxic atmosphere at the home games but now it’s an absolute joy to attend.

So we might not be as good as City on the pitch, but at least our fans are better than theirs.
And that’s got to be something worth celebrating, hasn’t it? More

Arsenal legend names three players Mikel Arteta HAS to sign this summer to launch another Premier League title bid

ARSENAL legend Bacary Sagna has told Mikel Arteta to sign West Ham’s Declan Rice, Leicester’s James Maddison and Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse.The Gunners launched an unexpected Premier League title bid but ultimately let a commanding lead slip as Manchester City finished five points clear.

Sagna suggested the North Londoners could finish the job next season if they sign the right players in the upcoming summer transfer window.
And the former right-back believes Maddison as well as Ward-Prowse would be a good start after their clubs got relegated.
Arsenal tried to land Maddison in 2021 and may rekindle their interest as he is set to leave Leicester with a release clause in the region of £40million and his contract running out next year.
Ward-Prowse is also ready to depart after 12 years at St Mary’s with Southampton not willing to accept anything less than £40m ahead of a summer rebuild.

Sagna told SunSport, via Lord Ping, when asked who Arsenal need to sign: “James Maddison from Leicester. I also really like Ward-Prowse. He is a player that can change a game on his own.
“Every team needs a player that can change a game in a heartbeat. You know when Arsenal used to play Stoke, Rory Delap was a player that could change a game on his own because of his long throws.
“Ward-Prowse is a master at set pieces. When a game is locked and you have a player with his ability, that is so dangerous.
“His free-kicks are the best in the league. I am not saying that he would start every game, but if you added him from the bench with 15 or 20 minutes to go, he would make the difference.

“You need players like that in your team. His free-kicks are ridiculous. He takes them for fun.”
Sagna also insists Arsenal should do all they can to land priority target Rice if Granit Xhaka leaves.
Xhaka appears set to move away from the Emirates after seven years of service with Bayer Leverkusen showing immense interest.
Sagna is adamant the Switzerland international must be replaced by a player of Rice’s calibre.

The ex-France international believes the England star would flourish under Arteta as he would have more freedom in midfield than he does at West Ham while playing with “better players”.
Sagna added: “I think he would play with more freedom at Arsenal than he currently enjoys at West Ham.
“I think he will find himself in situations where he will have the opportunity to add more goals to his game because he will be receiving better service at Arsenal and he will be playing with better players who will be able to find him like Odegaard.
“I think that the only way for Arsenal to allow Xhaka to leave is by signing Declan Rice. If Xhaka leaves, then I would hope Arsenal may very well have something lined up with Rice.” More
