Osorio has already turned down a move to Brazil because he wants to come to Europe.
The Hammers are expected to table an offer around £7.5million this week while AC Milan are also keen on  buying him  and loaning him out.
Universidad will sell at the right price and West Ham could grab  him in before other Prem clubs act, with Wolves also tracking the star.
The Hammers are also waiting to find out what Everton midfielder Amadou Onana plans to do.

Irons boss David Moyes is keen on the Belgium ace, 21,  but the player would prefer a Champions League club if he moves.

The Gunners have agreed a deal in principle to sign England star Rice, 24, for a record fee between two British clubs – £100m plus £5m add-ons.

Hammers chiefs want it all by the start of 2025 – whereas Arsenal would prefer financially to stagger a section of it across a longer period.

These minor payment issues have never been seen as derailing, but West Ham have been digging their heels in to get the deal they want.

Smith Rowe ready to fight for Arsenal place after Havertz arrival – and claims Rice was best in England training

EMILE SMITH ROWE knows it is crunch time – not only with the England Under-21s on Sunday, but for him next season at Arsenal. The 22-year-old endured a deeply frustrating club campaign, wrecked by a groin injury which required surgery and then a lack of opportunities in the Gunners’ title tilt when fit.

Mikel Arteta wants to keep the playmaker, despite overlooking him regularly at the back end of the season when his team were hunted down by Manchester City.
And Smith Rowe’s route back into the Spaniard’s side looks even tougher next term following the £65million arrival of Kai Havertz.
Yet the Croydon-born lad is up for the fight, and his case will certainly be helped by his storming Under-21 Euros with the Young Lions, who face Portugal in the quarter-finals on Sunday.
Smith Rowe has been following Arsenal’s transfer business, which includes the £105m pursuit of Declan Rice from West Ham, with interest from Georgia.

The Gunners academy product told SunSport: “I see what happens and obviously it’s good for the club to add strength to the team.
“I feel like the additions we’re making are going to really help the team progress again.
“It’s really exciting so hopefully we can go one step further next season.
“Of course (it is extra competition with Havertz arrival), but this is football.

“You’ve just got to get on with it. I’ve got to keep working hard and it’s healthy competition. I’ve got to keep fighting.”
Smith Rowe, the only Under-21s squad-member with a senior appearance to his name, played with Rice for Gareth Southgate’s men in the 3-0 win over the Ivory Coast last year.
The three-cap starlet recalled: “I can’t speak highly enough of him.
“I remember my first camp and I was surprised with how good he actually was.
“He was the best in training. Just his level, intensity, technically, everything he was doing. A real leader and still so young. He was really, really good.”
Smith Rowe admitted it was “difficult” not playing much of a role for Arsenal last term as they pushed Manchester City all the way.
But confidence is flowing back through him thanks to his summer stint with the Young Lions, having netted in the group-stage victories over Czech Republic and Israel.
England have looked like a team that has played together for a long time and that is literally the case for some of them.

Smith Rowe, Angel Gomes and Morgan Gibbs-White were all in the famed Under-17 squad, along with Phil Foden, that won the World Cup in 2017.
Asked if he was getting a similar vibe now as he did six years ago, the Gunners ace laughed and replied: “Yeah, we were talking about (the Under-17s triumph) the other day with a couple of the boys. Obviously a few of us were there.
“On the pitch, we just know each other really well. It’s good to look back at what happened and we definitely want to try to do similar things here.
“We’re a strong team. We’re not going to fear anyone. It will be a good game against Portugal but I’m confident that we’ll win.”
Best pal Bukayo Saka has been in touch to wish Smith Rowe luck, as have fellow club-mates Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson as well as some of Arsenal’s coaches.
Arteta has not, though Smith Rowe expects he will chat to the Gunners chief when he sees him in person.
That conversation may also involve some clarification over where the Spaniard wants to deploy Smith Rowe next term. SunSport understands the youngster may play more centrally.
It Wil be a good thing for CroydonEMILE SMITH ROWE is excited to see how Wilfried Zaha and Stormzy’s non-league club venture goes in his hometown of Croydon.
Crystal Palace legend Zaha and music icon Stormzy have linked up with former Eagles head of player care Danny Young to buy South London outfit AFC Croydon Athletic.
Smith Rowe was born in Croydon and lived there until around the age of 10 when he moved North of the river.
The Arsenal star told SunSport: “I saw (they bought it). I think that’s a good idea. I think I played against Croydon Athletic (as a kid).
“That’s a good thing for the community so I’m excited to see how the journey goes for them.”
Asked if he would be interested in doing something similar one day, Smith Rowe replied: “I’m not too sure, I haven’t thought about it. Definitely, it could happen in the future.”

The forward added: “I did see a lot of talk about my position but I’m not really sure what they think. I’m happy to play anywhere.
“Maybe it is inside, maybe it’s wide. I’ll be having that conversation when I get back.”
It would be understandable if Smith Rowe was feeling anxious about his game-time going into next term, given how last season went and the increased competition.
If in doubt, he need only look down at his left hip where he recently had a tattoo inked that reads ‘Confia en el process’.
It translates from Spanish to ‘Trust the process’, a phrase often associated with Arteta, though Smith Rowe insists it is not a reference to his club manager.
The Gunners star, who also has an inking of his mum Fiona on his left forearm and one that reads ‘Believe in Yourself’ on his left shoulder, explained: “I just like the quote.

“I wanted a bit of motivation for myself after a hard season.”
Trusting the process seems to be working for Lee Carsley’s flawless Young Lions right now – and Smith Rowe will hope his own faith pays off at Arsenal too next term. More

Nwaneri became the youngest player in Premier League history when he was brought on against Brentford aged just 15 years and 181 days.
Manchester City and Chelsea are among the gaggle of clubs that have monitored the teenager’s progress.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Nwaneri has penned a new deal at Arsenal following successful negotiations.
The transfer expert claims that the midfielder has been handed the highest wages ever offered to a Gunners academy player.

After the match, boss Mikel Arteta gushed: “It was a feeling that I had yesterday, I don’t know why.
“The first day I met him I looked him in his eyes and everyone was telling me about him, Per was telling me about him, and because of the injuries we only have 12 or 13 senior players yesterday to put in the squad and we decided to bring him, and that’s it.
“It’s one step, one experience, so enjoy it and congratulations.
“It’s just one step and all the steps in your career are not forward and you have to know that.
“You can go forward then backwards and then forwards. You fall, you go back – that’s, unfortunately, this industry and the football career of any player.”
Following Nwaneri’s taste of Prem action, he primarily divided his time between Arsenal’s Under-23 and Under-18 sides.

Chelsea hero Malouda names Mbappe’s next club, predicts Pochettino’s debut season and reveals how Arteta can use Havertz

CHELSEA legend Florent Malouda insists it is “only a matter of time” until Kylian Mbappe joins Real Madrid… but could still move to the Premier League at some point.Mbappe has informed PSG he won’t trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025, which means he will be a free agent next summer and the French champions are not keen to lose him for nothing.

This stunning development has put Europe’s top bidders on high alert with Manchester United linked with an interest for the star striker who may cost more than €250million (£216m).
However, Malouda believes Real are the France international’s likeliest destination if he decides to depart from Parc des Princes but it will all come down to a project that fulfils his ambitions.
That is why the former winger believes the only Premier League team that could attract Mbappe is Manchester City as he aspires to win the Champions League in the near future.
Malouda told SunSport, via Genting Casino: “For me, it is only a matter of time before he plays for Real Madrid. He has that desire to wear the white shirt because he liked the team when he was young. Eventually, I think he will try the Premier League, but right now, I don’t see any team apart from Manchester City that would attract him. It is not the right time for him to come to the Premier League.
    Read More on Football
“Everybody associated with PSG and France would love him to stay, but his priority is the sports aspect and the project. He wants a competitive project and PSG have to do their part. Kylian could play for any club in the world. This isn’t about money. He is looking for greatness and wants to find a club that can match his talents and give him the opportunity to win the Champions League.
“He had the opportunity to go to Madrid and he extended his contract, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he found an agreement with PSG in the future. I would be very surprised if he left this summer. I think from his point of view, everything has always been clear: he wants PSG to give him a project that can fulfill his ambitions.”
Malouda retired in 2018 after a celebrated career that saw him spend six years at Chelsea after his arrival from Lyon in 2007 and went on to win the Double in 2010 as well as the Champions League in 2012.
The former France international still watches his former club and insists new manager Mauricio Pochettino will have his hands full after a disastrous campaign that saw the Blues finishing 12th.
    Most read in Football
The 43-year-old expects Pochettino to be under immense pressure and is adamant he can only hit the ground running if he wins over the dressing room.
Malouda added: “He needs to rebuild a lot of things. He needs to rebuild an identity and a culture. He has already been studying what happened at Chelsea last season and has been talking to people at the club.
“There were a lot of problems at the club last season, and you could tell that something was very wrong, the results and where Chelsea finished the league confirm that. He is the leader now and he needs to demonstrate that leadership from the first day. There are so many people that will be looking towards him, the players, the staff, the fans. They want to see Chelsea back at the top. He has to lead them with confidence.
“He will understand the size of the job that he is taking on and he will know that he will be under pressure almost immediately. He has been doing a huge amount of work behind the scenes and he will know that having a good pre-season is the first step in the journey.

“To get off to a good start, he will have to get the players on his side. He will need to completely believe in his methods and the targets that he will set. It’s a huge job, and he has experience, but he will need his players to support him and give everything from the first match of the season.”
Pochettino has started by offloading players from Chelsea’s bloated squad and one of the club’s most notable departures is Kai Havertz, who joined London rivals Arsenal after a £65m deal.
Malouda believes Havertz’s move to the Emirates signals at a new strategy by the Gunners with manager Mikel Arteta opting for players with experience of winning trophies, like Gabriel Jesus.
The Frenchman doesn’t expect the Germany international to play as a No9, like he did last season for the West Londoners, but could instead feature as a “supporting attacking midfielder”.
Malouda believes Kai Havertz will play as a “supporting attacking midfielder” at ArsenalCredit: https://twitter.com/Arsenal/status/1674138215266111501/photo/1
Malouda said: “I think this is part of Arsenal’s strategy. They are looking to bring players into their squad that are a certain age with the experience of winning trophies.
“You must also think that Mikel Arteta has a development plan for Kai Havertz and he will know exactly how he will use him to make Arsenal better. I think this is a signing that is similar to when Arsenal bought Gabriel Jesus last summer.

“I definitely don’t see him as a number nine. I see him as more of a supporting attacking midfielder who can play around the striker. He has the ability to make long runs and he is comfortable arriving in the box and timing his runs well. I think he needs to create things in the midfield.
“I’m sure his game will be more suited to Arsenal than at Chelsea because Arsenal play with a lot of interchanging and movement between positions.” More

Havertz spent three years at Stamford Bridge, scoring the winner in the Champions League final before adding Super Cup and Club World Cup winner’s medals.
However, after playing as a forward – and usually as a striker – for Chelsea, Arteta hinted he could be ready to switch into a new role at the Emirates.
Manager Mikel Arteta added: “Kai is a player of top quality. He has great versatility and is an intelligent player.
“He will bring a huge amount of extra strength to our midfield and variety to our play.
“We welcome Kai and his family to Arsenal Football Club and we are all excited to start working with him when we start pre-season training soon.”
Havertz scored 32 goals in 139 appearances for the Blues under four different Chelsea managers, including two spells with Frank Lampard in the dugout.
The most important of those was his memorable finish against Manchester City in Lisbon two years ago as the West Londoners were crowned Kings of Europe.
In an emotional open letter on his Instagram, the 37-cap Germany international bid farewell to Chelsea supporters, three years on from his £70m switch from Leverkusen.

He wrote: “I would have preferred for you to hear my thoughts on leaving Chelsea first from myself before my thoughts on me joining my new team. This isn’t my style and it upsets me that you had to hear of it in this way.
“Today, I find myself at a crossroads, where words can’t describe the emotions I’m feeling.
“It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter, saying goodbye to the club that has become my second home, and to the incredible fans who have supported me throughout this amazing journey.
“Today I want to thank each and every Chelsea supporter, member of staff, coaches and my team-mates for the last years.
“Joining Chelsea three years ago was a big moment in my life and I’m looking back on these years with nothing but pride, gratefulness and loads of sporting success.
