And the substitution of Ben White in Tuesday night’s 2-0 win over Leeds has left fans – who are already missing the crocked Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard – fearing the worst.
One tweeted: “It’s not even November and we’re losing players to injury. The Arsenal is well and truly back.”
Another said: “Pray that the Arsenal November Injury Curse doesn’t do overtime in those three.”
And another said: “Ben White played every game for Leeds in the season they got promoted, and near enough every game for Brighton last season.
“We’re now 11/12 games into this season and it looks like he’s already pulled his hammy. The Arsenal injury curse ladies and gents.”
One remarked: “Has Ben White been struck down by the Arsenal injury curse?

“Walks fine = 6 months injury table?”
Arsenal will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, travelling to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City.
And Gunners chief Mikel Arteta is hoping both Tierney and Odegaard will be available for the trip to the Midlands.
He said: “They are both out with two different injuries.
“They tried yesterday but they didn’t feel great.

“Hopefully in the next few days they can feel better and be available for Leicester.”
When pressed on White’s withdrawal, the Spaniard said: “With Ben and with some others, he had a bug, so he wasn’t feeling great.
“I think something happened around here, he wasn’t feeling great in the second half and we decided to take him off.”

‘Anything is possible’ – Lacazette could be offered shock new Arsenal contract says Arteta with striker in red hot form

ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE could be in line for a new Arsenal deal after helping his team to rescue a point against Crystal Palace. The current contract for the Frenchman – who is yet to be included in the starting line-up for the Gunners this term – expires in June 2022.

Despite not being in Mikel Arteta’s first eleven in the Prem so far this season, Lacazette has netted once in three top-flight appearances for the team who face Aston Villa next.
When asked if the striker, 30, is highly unlikely to sign a new agreement, Arteta said: “No. Anything is possible.
“He is our player, and I treat him like any other player, I’m not going to treat him differently because he has a year left or not a year left and that is what he deserves.”
The Arsenal boss added: “It’s the situation that we have and we have to accept it.
“I cannot ask anything from the player with the way he’s dealing with that situation.”
Lacazette, who moved to the Emirates from Lyon in a £46.5million deal in 2017, helped Arsenal to an FA Cup win in 2020.

And the forward, who was voted Gunners fans’ player of the season in May 2019, has netted 68 goals in 175 Arsenal appearances.
The Frenchman, who is free to speak to overseas clubs in January, has been linked with interest from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona with the Nou Camp giants reportedly interested in a cut-price move for the player.
However, Arteta has praised the Gunners ace for his commitment to the club and the ‘contagious energy’ he brought to the team to help them draw against Palace.
On the forward’s contract situation, the Emirates boss said: “All of this we have had to deal with in the past and still now, we have to see what the best option is for everybody at the end of the season.

“I had no doubts about that [his motivation] and if I did I would probably have decided to do something different in the summer if the motivation was just his financial future.
“It’s not the case with Laca and he has shown that since I’ve been here every single day and that he remains a really important player for us.
“I think he was able to transmit that energy (against Crystal Palace) and that was contagious for the rest of the team and for the stadium.”

The midfielder is also working on his coaching at the club.
Wilshere has admitted that since returning to Arsenal, he was surprised to learn club captain Aubameyang isn’t the fastest player.
It is, in fact, Scotland international Tierney who clocks in the fastest speed at the club.
And Wilshere has backed ‘natural leader’ Tierney to captain the Gunners in the future
Wilshere told talkSPORT: “He’s not been there the last few weeks, he’s been away with Scotland, but everyone has spoken about him being a great lad, a natural leader, so potentially yea [the next captain].
“We were doing a sprint test today and I asked the fitness guy ‘who is the fastest player, is it Aubameyang’ and he said ‘no it’s Kieran Tierney’ – it surprised me.”

According to STATSport on Twitter, Tierney has clocked in a speed of 23mph.
Summer signing Martin Odegaard thinks the opposite to Wilshere, and says Aubameyang is the fastest at Arsenal.
He said: “I would say Aubameyang, I think he’s the fastest player in the team, and I don’t see any other players being on his level.
“It is difficult to be faster than him I think.”
But the Norway international did give Tierney a special mention as someone who could give the captain a run for his money.
He continued: “I don’t think I stand a chance, but some of the other players maybe, Kieran Tierney said he might beat him, but I don’t know, we’ll have to see.”

Arsenal told they ‘must pay £38.5m to sign hotshot striker Youssef En-Nesyri, 24, from Sevilla in transfer window’

The Moroccan striker hit his third goal of the season on the weekend, in a 2-0 win over Espanyol.
And he caught the eye with a 24-goal tally last campaign to put Sevilla on the defensive when it comes to his future.
According to the Express, via Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal are plotting a January bid for En-Nesyri.
The offer could include Alexandre Lacazette in a player-plus-cash deal, ahead of the Frenchman’s contract expiring in the summer.
But Sevilla want to ensure any deal matches their £38.5m valuation of the star forward.
The Spanish side paid £17m to sign 24-year-old En-Nesyri from Leganes 18 months ago, and he has been a big contributor in league and Europe.

Saturday’s outing saw him register again, sending Sevilla third in the process.
However, he did come off injured in the second-half and was already out of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Wolfsburg due to suspension.
Sevilla are said to be calm over their man’s transfer future but Arsenal may be ready to continue their heavy spending after the turn of the year.
After splashing more cash than any other Premier League team in the summer, Mikel Arteta’s side are linked with more incomings in January.

Philippe Coutinho is said to be a target for a potential loan move from Barcelona.
A less-familiar signing could arrive in the form of Noa Lang, the Club Brugge winger talked up for a £25.6m move to the Emirates.
Funding the deals could be Bernd Leno’s exit, with the goalkeeper reportedly wanted by Inter Milan.
