ARSENAL came inches away from opening the scoring against Southampton through Bukayo Saka but were denied by some stunning goalkeeping from Fraser Forster.Yan Valery gave the ball away with a reckless pass that was picked up by Eddie Nketiah inside Saint’s own half and that created a dangerous situation for the hosts after 17 minutes.

But the England international’s shot was shockingly denied by a brilliant Forster who hurled himself towards his right corner and made the save on what looked like pure instinct.
The Southampton keeper saved Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side from such a certain goal that Martin Odegaard was seen celebrating just moments before the save.

The defender pointed out that Aubameyang – with whom he also played at Borussia Dortmund – is not the only one who left this way as he was also frozen out by Arteta in 2021 before returning to Greece.
