Some of our previous winners this season landed amazing prizes having submitted their predictions in ten seconds through sheer gut instinct.
In the spirit of transparency, here are our predictions for Matchweek 15’s fixtures…
    Manchester City v Liverpool
    A modern classicCredit: Dream Team
The weekend’s main event gets us underway this Saturday lunchtime.
    Most read in Football
Pep Guardiola’s side are currently top of the table, one point ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s mob, and most of the the recent meetings between these two enterprising sides have been thrilling affairs.
The treble-winners won this same fixture 4-1 last season but fans of both sides would probably agree the Reds are more functional this this campaign.
Saying that, City average a shade under two and a half goals per league game against Liverpool at home since the start of 2020.
The hosts have kept a clean sheet in just one of their last six league games and they shipped four to Chelsea last time out so the likes of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz will feel confident of some success in the final third.
Let’s try manifest a brilliant game to celebrate the end of the international break.
Our Prediction: 3-2 to Man City
Kieran Trippier made it clear to Newcastle fans that injuries were a factor at BournemouthCredit: Rex
    Newcastle v Chelsea
Were it not for the clash at the Etihad, this could easily have been the standout fixture of the weekend.
St James’ Park is a difficult place to go but the Magpies felt the impact of their injury list away to Bournemouth in their most recent encounter, a 2-0 defeat on the south coast saw them drop to seventh.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men will have taken much heart from their games against Spurs and City – four points from those two match-ups represents something of a turning point.
There’s nothing between these two in the form guide with both clubs having won two, drawn two and lost one in their last five.
Injury updates from Eddie Howe’s press conference may change the outlook but for now…
    Our Prediction: 1-1 draw
Arsenal’s defence has been solid this seasonCredit: Getty
    Brentford v Arsenal
The Gunners have scored seven more goals than the Bees this season but the underlying numbers suggest the two attacking units are closer than some would expect.
Thomas Frank’s side have actually generated more expected goals (xG) than Arsenal, meaning they’re marginally ahead from a creative perspective but notably less clinical when it comes to putting the ball in the net.
There’s a big difference in defence though as Mikel Arteta’s side are statistically the best the top flight has to offer right now, having conceded ten goals from 9.2 expected goals allowed.
Brentford’s slightly inefficient attack against the league’s tightness defence should favour the visitors but we still fancy the hosts to give their fans something to celebrate.
All that being said, Arsenal are one point off top spot while Brentford are in the bottom half so we’re inclined to back Bukayo Saka and company to get the job done on the road.
    Our Prediction: 2-1 to Arsenal
Spurs have several key absenteesCredit: Reuters
    Tottenham v Aston Villa
    Another fascinating match-up on paper.
Only City have scored more goals than the Villains this season but Unai Emery’s men are nowhere near as potent away from home.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are equally dynamic in attack at full capacity but, like Newcastle, they’re hindered by a host of absentees with James Maddison and Micky van de Ven being major losses.
Spurs’ injuries and Villa’s away record suggest both sides may be short of their best on Sunday but this game still has all the makings of another end-to-end thriller.
The prospect of Ollie Watkins and Moussa Diaby against a high defensive line is an enticing one but we could just as easily see Son Heung-min running in behind Ezri Konsa and Pau Torres.
    Our Prediction: 2-2 draw

Everton will be highly motivated in front of their home fans on SundayCredit: Getty
    Everton v Manchester United
The Toffees’ recent points deduction should give this clash a unique atmosphere.
Sean Dyche will hope to make use of a siege mentality at Goodison Park to extend his side’s improved form – they’ve lost just one of their last six games in all competitions.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has rediscovered something close to his most effective form, backed by an energetic midfield that is capable of upsetting teams prone to capitulations, which has to include this current version of the Red Devils.
Erik ten Hag’s have actually won four of their last five league games but unconvincing performances against Luton, Fulham and Sheffield United failed to inspire much confidence.
Recent blow-ups against Copenhagen, Man City, a second-string Newcastle (Carabao Cup) and Galatasaray have put the Dutch tactician under pressure.
The combination of a highly-motivated Everton at home to a United side with a vulnerable underbelly leads us to a semi-bold prediction.
    Our Prediction: 2-1 to Everton

    Correct goal difference +1 point

Score Predictor is completely free to play and it’s particularly fun to directly compete against your mates in Mini Leagues.
It’s the season of goodwill after all, so here are our predictions for the five games you have to predict this week.
    England v Malta – Friday November 17
This one should be a formality and the tricky part is surely guessing how many England will score.
The reverse fixture was a 4-0 win over in Malta, helping England to 19 goals in just the six games played in this qualification group.
The seven goals scored against North Macedonia helped with that, and pointless Malta aren’t as much of a test.
Superstar Jude Bellingham misses out but there’s now a huge competition for places, so even a change in team shouldn’t prevent goals going in.
Our prediction: England 6 Malta 0
Harry Kane celebrates with Alexander-Arnold in 4-0 win over Malta

    Netherlands v Ireland – Saturday November 18
Netherlands are in a battle for second spot with Greece as the pair sit on the same points.
Greece have played a game more, though, so a win here should just about wrap that up for the Dutch.
They’ve only won two of their last six internationals at home which isn’t great form – particularly with the wins coming against Greece and Gibraltar.
But the Irish are just desperate for qualification to be over, picking up just six points from their six games.
Reverse game was narrow 2-1 Dutch win, this could be more.
Our prediction: Netherland 3 Ireland 0
    Armenia v Wales – Saturday November 18
Armenia have lost their last three games – with Wales winning their last three.
Armenia picked up a shock 4-2 win when the sides last met earlier in the group and the Welsh must surely be out for revenge.
Wales sit in second in the group – joint on 10 points with Croatia – and need a win here to maintain that.
Armenia still have it all to play for too just three points behind, but could fall short here.
Our prediction: Armenia 1 Wales 2
    Scotland v Norway – Sunday November 19
This game will be party time for Scotland and their supporters, with the first home game since clinching qualification.
Might still have top spot to fight for depending on results earlier in the week and a win might well be needed.
Norway have nothing to play for and the raucous Hampden support will help Steve Clarke’s fringe players push on again.
Our prediction: Scotland 2 Norway 0
    Scotland boss Steve Clarke
North Macedonia v England – Monday November 20
Again, could be a matter of how many, team dependant.
A good result in Malta game might see Southgate make one or two changes but squad deep enough to win this one quite comfortably.
The hosts will want to avenge the 7-0 from earlier in the group and will not want lightning striking twice.
Our prediction: North Macedonia 0 England 4

Premier League matches could be shown on new channel as battle for £300m live TV rights hots up

PREMIER LEAGUE matches could soon be shown on a new channel as the auctions for live rights looks set to hot up.Top-flight chiefs are allegedly looking at offering an “expanded fifth package of games” to broadcasters.
A new channel is looking to purchase the rights to screen Premier League matchesCredit: Getty
They will include “several complete midweek rounds” plus Sunday clashes involving teams featuring in the Europa League.
And the Daily Mail claims that streaming service DAZN “are expected to target the Premier League matches currently owned by Amazon Prime” in the bidding process.
Amazon pay around £90m for 60 live matches in three seasons over the festive period currently.
But it emerged in the summer that all Sunday games will be screened for the very first time for the start of the 2025/26 campaign which has led “to greater interest from broadcasters”.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
This new update says that “Amazon were effectively given their first set of live rights at a discount by the Premier League six years ago in order to draw them into the market”.
They also got fortunate when the 2019 to 2022 domestic TV deal was extended on the same terms due to the Covid-19 pandemic, allowing them to keep screening games on the cheaper rate.
Now the Premier League are “looking for a significant increase from the current £5billion three-year domestic deal” in the next rights auction due to the number of matches available increasing to 270 from 2000.
The cheapest package available is set to be for around £300m-a-year – which has allegedly led to doubts over whether Amazon will want to fork out that much.

But DAZN “are understood to view the expanded Amazon pack as more attainable than the primetime Saturday and Sunday packages” – with Sky Sports and TNT Sports set to retain them.
Ukrainian-born British businessman Len Blavatnik launched DAZN in 2016.
They have grown massively over recent years and expanded into a number of sports.

Now this report claims that they “are ready to make a serious bid for the Premier League’s UK rights” for the very first time.
DAZN currently broadcast our top-flight matches to viewers in Spain and the Women’s Champions League in this country.
And they also shown boxing, baseball and basketball as part of their ever-expanding portfolio. More

Premier League set to be shown on new channel from 2025 – while current broadcaster could AXE their football coverage

PREMIER LEAGUE fixtures could be shown on DAZN from 2025, according to reports.Meanwhile, current broadcaster Amazon are said to be ready to end their football coverage.

Premier League TV rights for 2025 to 2029 are set to go on sale soon.
Streaming giants DAZN will be in the bidding this time but it is unclear if they will be able to match Sky and TNT offers.
However, the Mail also claim that Amazon are considering pulling out of showing football.
They have been involved in Prem coverage since 2019 and have shown 20 games per season in a three-year deal worth £90m, or £1.5m each game.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
But their deal finishes at the end of the 2024/25 season and the report claims they are not expected to continue their interest.
This is amid Premier League chiefs planning a reshape to the way they sell TV rights to make more money.
In the next batch of sales they hope to make £4bn-a-year, an increase from the current £3.47bn.
A document will soon be reportedly sent to channels informing them of the supposed changes.

Four-year deals that run from 2025 to 2029 will be on offer, as opposed to the three-year contracts currently in place.
There is currently 200 games on TV per season and the amount is set to rise to between 250 and 270.
Despite the increase in matches for fans to watch, there will be fewer packages for channels to bid for with five set to be available rather than seven.
The extra games per package means all broadcasters will be able to show viewers a more “substantial offering”.
There could also allegedly be an impact on kick-off times.
Additional Friday night, Saturday lunchtime and evening, as well as Monday night games are set to be available for channels to acquire.
There could also supposedly be three slots for matches on Sundays but not necessarily a late evening position previously discussed.
Sky currently pay £9.8m for each game they show with TNT less at £6.25m. More

Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Amazon Prime hold talks over shock new Premier League documentary

THE Premier League’s main UK broadcasters have held talks over a new documentary on the lives of top-flight referees.A fresh report has claimed that an “independent production company are understood to have pitched the programme” to the three domestic rights holders.
A new documentary on the life of Premier League referees could be in the pipelineCredit: Getty
And Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Amazon Prime have already discussed the prospect, says the Daily Mail.
However, they also add that the Professional Game Match Officials Limited [PGMOL] are yet to sign it off.
Ex-Premier League referee Howard Webb was appointed as the PGMOL’s first chief refereeing officer last year.
And he has attempted to make the body more open and “may be receptive to the idea” of the doc.

Webb recently linked up with Michael Owen in the newly launched Match Officials Mic’d Up programme, explaining controversial VAR and refereeing decisions using audio from in-game conversations between officials.
The premise of the documentary pitch is believed to be “an attempt to humanise referees”.
It is also hoping to give football fans a better understanding of how officials carry out their duties and the pressures they face.
The would-be producers want to film referee training sessions as well as pre and post-game meetings.

But the Premier League would also need to give their approval as producer want to use unseen footage from games.
The Mail says that a source close to the referees said: “It’s a great idea.
“It would show a different side to them. How hard it is. The pressure they’re under.
“To officiate a Premier League is not easy. One error and you’re vilified. So something such as this might help people see a different side to officials.” More

Man Utd legend wrote three murder mysteries that have become cult classics, but he says they’re a ‘laughing stock’

STEVE BRUCE was known as a dominating defender during his playing days. Having won three Premier League titles at Manchester United, Bruce made a name for himself as the Red Devils’ hard-nosed but brilliant captain.

A trait which carried over into his managerial career.
However, underneath his outer shell, there was a surprising twist to the tale.
That is thanks to the former Newcastle and Aston Villa manager dabbling in the art of literacy with an epic trio of crime novels.
Bruce published three little-read football crime books suitably named: Striker!, Sweeper! and Defender!
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
Originally published between 1999 and 2000, the books have become increasingly sought-after over the years after they re-emerged thanks to the work of Northern Irish writer Seamas O’Reilly.
A self-professed expert on Bruce’s career, O’Reilly was inspired to find the books thanks to his interest in “really terrible books”, as quoted by the BBC.
Not that Bruce is particularly proud of his work on the novels, with the man himself labelling them “a laughing stock”.
Bruce said: “It was a long time ago, and I’m not sure I want to be reminded of how bad they were.
    Most read in Football
“Just because I got a GCSE in English, I thought I was going to be the next Dick Francis. It didn’t make any contribution at all to anyone’s income.
“It became a laughing stock, to be honest. I think they’re probably still on the shelves somewhere, and I bet you could probably pick one up for 99p.”
Indeed, when asked why he hasn’t written any more books in a 2019 interview with Sky Sports, Bruce replied: “Have you read them? Go and read them and you’ll understand why.”
Regardless, they have grown into cult classics, with a used paperback copy of his first book Striker! fetching as much as £249 on Amazon.
And that is some increase from the £12 the book was originally sold for.
The books themselves are written in the first person from the point of view of protagonist Steve Barnes.
O’Reilly loved his dive into the 127-page story told in Striker!, detailing the “mad stuff” that goes on.
Bruce’s first book Striker! was published in 1999Credit: Paragon Press Publishing
Striker! opens with Pat Duffy, the young Irish striker of Leddersford Town FC – a small but historic club aiming for promotion to the top flight – having been found stabbed to death in the dressing room.
Barnes, who is the manager of Town, is naturally among the suspects and launches his own investigation to get to the bottom of the mystery, all the while juggling his management of the team.
“The book is filled with kidnappings, betrayal and suspense,” O’Reilly explains.
The front cover of the book depicts the aftermath of the crime, with a player in a blue and white striped shirt lying on the floor next to the murder weapon.
Although Duffy does appear to be a giant based on his blown-up proportions while lying on a football pitch.
Barnes faces off with Irish mobsters and even finds himself in the sights of a sniper during a match.
    ‘Kidnappings, betrayal and suspense’
In the final four pages, Barnes has a ball shot from underneath his foot while standing in the technical area in a top-of-the-table clash with Fulham.
There is also a running gag throughout the book where Bruce writes in detail about the car Barnes is driving, even in the middle of an espionage mission.
At one point he writes: “I drive a Jaguar XJ8, 3.2, the sports version. It’s a very nice motor; 3.2 litre AJ-V8 all alloy engine.
“Classic colour interior theme, fluted leather seats, contrast colour keyed facia, figured walnut veneer. As good a motor as you can hope to drive.
“But not a car you’d choose when trying to follow a Ford saloon in a discreet manner…my registration, license and all other statutory details are fully up to date.”
The second book, Sweeper!, does not tone down on the drama levels either, with the plot centring around the kidnapping of the club’s janitor.
Sweeper! was described as the ‘magnum opus’ of Bruce’s novel collectionCredit: Paragon Press Publishing
O’Reilly goes so far as to declare Sweeper! the “magnum opus” of Bruce’s written work in the so-called “Bruniverse”.
The plot of Sweeper! sees Barnes take on Yugoslavian warlords, lesbian prostitutes, Nazi-hunting spies and more.
A particular highlight of O’Reilly’s is when Bruce makes a reference to his lack of international recognition – having never received an England cap – in one of the four kidnappings throughout the series.
After Barnes is kidnapped by British Secret Service agents, who then ask him to go undercover, O’Reilly explains that Barnes refuses to help, saying: “He tells them, ‘My country never wanted me’.”
“His reasoning for not helping counter-terrorism is not that he lacks training or expertise or that he’s a middle-aged football manager, it’s that he never got an international cap.”
One book in the series even sees Barnes take out a bad guy with a slide tackle.
    ‘Magnum opus of the Bruniverse’
But that isn’t to say the books don’t have criticism from the Derry-born Bruce superfan.
He explained: “There are so many strange decisions made in the writing of these books, such as the way the world is constructed.
“So, for instance, there’s fake names that stand in for real places, like Leddersford for Huddersfield and Mulcaster for Manchester.
“But, he also talks about Manchester United and mentions Alex Ferguson. It’s like reading a Batman comic where he takes a train from Gotham to New York.”
The third book is described as “incident-free” and “disappointing” by O’Reilly.
And one brutal comment on the Amazon review section for the book seems to agree, saying: “Does for the English language what the Luftwaffe did to Coventry.”
    READ MORE SPORT FEATURES
Amazon reviews for the earlier books are far more positive.
One user commented on Striker!: “Ahead of its time, ahead of anyone’s time. So bad it’s great.”
A second remarked: “There is something about this book that makes it absolutely brilliant… even though it’s, err, awful!
“Hours that I will never have again, but I’m glad that I spent them reading this.”
One, perhaps tongue-in-cheek, review of Sweeper! says: “One cannot do justice to how effective and gripping Bruce’s writing style is. He is truly a modern-day Arthur Conan Doyle.”
While it seems likely that Bruce will not be adding to his library with any new works, O’Reilly believes he has read through the reviews.
    READ MORE SUN STORIES
He added: “I do certainly like to think Steve Bruce has read the reviews.
“There’s just this image in my head of Bruce at home, rushing in from training, tapping away incessantly on his Remington in an oak-panelled study.”

It was one of 12 venues that was constructed for the international football tournament.
During the build of the 40,000 seater ground, three people died.
The arena was used for just four matches during the World Cup, although it did also host games during the 2016 Olympics.
It was the ground where England suffered the 2-1 defeat to Italy.

The other games that featured there were the group fixtures between Cameroon and Croatia, USA and Portugal as well as Honduras and Switzerland.
Now the stadium is mostly unused with local matches only bringing in crowds of less than 1,000 people.
Manaus is the 7th most populated city in Brazil with just over two million people.
During the World Cup in 2014, the Arena de Amazonia was the most difficult to get to for visiting fans as it is in the middle of the Amazon rainforest.

In 2016, the New York Times described the stadium as “a White Elephant, a Big One”.
