Score Predictor tips for Matchweek 31: £500 Amazon voucher up for grabs amid FA Cup and Premier League action

MATCHWEEK 31 challenges Score Predictor users to guesstimate a mixture of Premier League and FA Cup fixtures. This slight tweak makes things interesting but the format remains the same.Whomever gets closest to correctly predicting the five outcomes will win a £500 Amazon gift card by Sunday night – the top prize must be won be somebody.PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!Spurs swaggered to an impressive win last weekendCredit: GettyScore Predictor is completely free to play and it takes just seconds to enter five predictions.Fulham v TottenhamSpurs produced a statement performance at Villa Park last weekend and if Son Heung-min and company are able to replicate the same free-flowing attacking football at Craven Cottage then the hosts will find their opponents difficult to resist.Arsenal are the only team to have scored more league goals away from home than Ange Postecoglou’s outfit this season. The Cottagers are a well-coached side sitting comfortably in mid-table but defeat to Wolves last time out makes them underdogs for Saturday’s London derby.Spurs have won eight of the last nine league meetings with Fulham. Our Prediction: 2-1 to TottenhamManchester City v NewcastleAnother FA Cup for the collection?Credit: GettyWith an international break to follow, both sides are expected to name strong starting line-ups in this FA Cup quarter-final.Newcastle have slipped to tenth in the league and the fact they’ve conceded 16 goals in their last seven games suggests their defence is not suitably prepared for an Etihad onslaught.Pep Guardiola’s side are undefeated on home soil in 2023/24 and with the league far from a certainty, the decorated tactician will surely be keen to retain the FA Cup.The Magpies have had their moments against City in recent meetings but this one feels like an ill-timed match-up for them. Our Prediction: 3-1 to Manchester CityChelsea v LeicesterA man in formCredit: PALeicester are about as strong as second-tier teams comes but they’ve wobbled in the last month and suddenly their return to the top flight no longer seems a forgone conclusion. The King Power faithful probably wouldn’t be all that heartbroken if their side were eliminated from the FA Cup, allowing sole focus on their quest for promotion.Conversely, Chelsea should prioritise the competition as their league ambitions are severely limited at this stage. The hosts’ only defeat in their last seven games came against Liverpool (in extra time) in the Carabao Cup final. The Blues’ defence remains vulnerable but they have looked more potent in attack lately, led by the excellent Cole Palmer. Our Prediction: 2-1 to ChelseaWest Ham v Aston VillaThe Hammers only mustered a draw at home to BurnleyCredit: GettyTwo teams coming off the back of disappointing results last time out – the Hammers only drew at home to Burnley while the Villains were thoroughly outplayed by Spurs. Both sides will also have played in Europe on Thursday night so it’s not all that easy to get a read on this match-up at the time of writing. That being said, Villa’s away form has improved steadily as the season has progressed – only the three title contenders have earned more points on the road – while West Ham’s home record is merely average.David Moyes’ side have looked much better since Lucas Paqueta was reunited with Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen in the front three but it’s hard to ignore the cracks in their midfield and defence. Both teams to score feels like a good starting point. Our Prediction: 3-2 to Aston VillaManchester United v LiverpoolWill Mohamed Salah be unleashed from the get-go at Old Trafford?Credit: AlamyA classic fixture to complete the weekend.Jurgen Klopp may choose to rest key players against Sparta Prague this evening having won the first leg 5-1 and so the Red Devils should expect a strong line-up from their rivals at Old Trafford.Erik ten Hag’s side beat Everton last time out but they conceded plenty of shots once again; a similarly porous defensive display this weekend would surely be punished by Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and friends.Man United held firm at Anfield for a 0-0 back in October but the previous meeting between these two sides ended 7-0 to the Merseysiders. The hosts are missing important players in defence and it’s hard to envisage them resisting Liverpool’s relentless “heavy metal football” if the visitors are able to build momentum. Our Prediction: 3-1 to LiverpoolShow us how it’s done by submitting your own predictions before Saturday’s deadline!talkSPORT BET Welcome offer

doesn’t tell the full story.Rob Edwards’ side have faced Liverpool, Manchester City and Aston Villa in their most recent outings, three of the current top four in the Premier League table.Carlton Gunners have won six league games in a row, scoring 26 goals and conceding just three in the process.Mikel Arteta’s side have been in blistering form of late and it’s hard to envisage anything other than another comfortable win this weekend.Brentford have taken just one point from their last four outings, albeit against tough opposition.Arsenal have conceded the fewest league goals in 2023/24 and they’ve recently leapfrogged Liverpool to become the top flight’s top scorers as well – ominous signs. The Bees famously beat Arsenal in their first Premier League meeting but the North Londoners have generally registered narrow victories in this match-up since.Given that only the bottom three have conceded more goals than Thomas Frank’s side, the free-flowing hosts should have more than enough to get the job done. Our Prediction: 3-0 to ArsenalIn fine formCredit: GETTYAston Villa v TottenhamThis one has all the ingredients of a thriller.Ange Postecoglou’s approach tends to result in goals at both ends while the Villains always back themselves to assert their dominance on home soil. The hosts are fourth in the table with Spurs five points behind them in fifth with a game in hand – their records are very similar.Villa have had the better of this fixture of late and will be aiming to make it four consecutive wins over the North London outfit on Sunday. However, the visitors will be fresher as Unai Emery’s side face Ajax in Amsterdam this evening. We’re inclined to sit on the fence in this instance…Our Prediction: 2-2 drawSon v Watkins is a mouthwatering match-upCredit: GettyLiverpool v Manchester CityA gargantuan match-up in the title race. The Reds are one of just three sides in England’s top four tiers yet to suffer defeat at home but their immense record will be tested to the limit by Pep Guardiola’s formidable machine.City have generally come unstuck at Anfield in recent years although they did win 4-1 on Merseyside the season before last. This time around, it doesn’t feel as if either defence is equipped to withstand the quality of the opposing attacking unit, especially if Mohamed Salah is deemed available. The defending champions rested several key players against Copenhagen in midweek and they will have an extra day to prepare for this crunch clash with Liverpool away to Sparta Prague tonight. It will be interesting to see what line-up Jurgen Klopp goes with in the first of leg of the Europa League round of 16 tie.The hosts have more injury concerns and one suspects the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold may be a factor – the England international scored an excellent equaliser at the Etihad back in November. Our Prediction: 3-2 to Manchester CitySalah looms largeCredit: PAChelsea v NewcastleThe Blues 4-1 defeat at St James’ Park in November was arguably their worst performance of the season but plenty of Score Predictor users will have given up looking for patterns where Mauricio Pochettino’s side are concerned.Chelsea are frustratingly inconsistent, as their league position (11th) lays bare. They haven’t been good at home this season either, having won just five of their 12 league fixtures at Stamford Bridge.Mind you, the Magpies haven’t had much success on the road – they’ve mustered just 11 points away from home.Games involving Newcastle this season feature 3.8 goals on average but their lean away record combined ‘My man’s a killer’, cry Arsenal fans as Jorginho’s brutal response to partner on ‘Married to the Game’ goes viral

FOOTBALL fans were left in stitches after watching footage of Jorginho and his partner from a new reality TV show. The Arsenal midfielder and his fiancé Catherine Harding feature in Amazon Prime’s brand new series Married to the Game, which explores what it is like to be in a relationship with a professional footballer.

The midfielder simply responded: ‘No’Credit: Amazon Prime
The series, which also stars the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Matt Turner, premiered today but some preview clips were released earlier this week.
In one of the clips, Catherine asked Jorginho when he is planning to propose, but the Italian remained a man of few words.
She said: “I think I’m going to put something else on. You’re not going to propose to me this afternoon are you?”
    But Jorginho bluntly responded: “No.”

His partner then went on to say: “Okay. So then so then I can put this ring on here. There we go.”
Holding up her ring finger, she added: “Just in case, it’s free!”
But Jorginho quipped: “It’s going to stay free. It’s going to stay free (today) yep,” before walking straight out of the room.
Fans took to social media to react, with one person tweeting: “My man’s a killer. Who said romance was dead. Unreal from Jorginho.”

Check out our top tips below…
    Manchester United v Fulham
Marco Silva’s side have been dismal away from home this season.
They’ve won just one of 12 games on the road and only Sheffield United have earned fewer points on their travels.
Couple this with the Red Devils’ upturn and it seems like a cut-and-dry home win.

Rasmus Hojlund and company have turned a corner in 2024, having won their last four league games via 11 goals scored.
Our Prediction: 3-1 to Man United

    Bournemouth v Manchester City
The Cherries’ results have fallen away of late and they head into this weekend’s daunting match-up without a win in their last six league games.
In contrast, the defending champions are top of the form table having addressed their draw against Chelsea with a win over Brentford in midweek.
This contest features two of 2023/24’s most prolific scorers in Dominic Solanke (14 league goals) and Erling Haaland (17 league goals) so predicting both teams to score seems reasonable – City have not kept all that many clean sheets this season.
Statistically, this fixture is the most one-sided in Premier League history – a fact underlined by their last meeting, a 6-1 win for Pep Guardiola’s machine.
Arsenal and Liverpool will be hoping for an upset but there’s precious little evidence to suggest one will occur on the south coast – Bournemouth actually have better record away from home this campaign.
Our Prediction: 4-1 to Man City
    A familiar sightCredit: Rex

    Arsenal v Newcastle
Arguably the standout fixture among the Premier League match-ups and one that is already simmering after the controversial nature of the Magpies’ winner the last time these sides met.
Defeat in Porto will have checked the Gunners’ progress somewhat but their domestic has been superb since the winter break – just ask Liverpool, West Ham and Burnley.
As for Newcastle, their record in their last six league games reads: two wins, two draws, two defeats, 16 goals scored, 16 goals conceded.
Eddie Howe’s side have been involved in some thrilling contests recently but fans are justifiably concerned about the leaky nature of the defence at present.
It will be interesting to see whether the visitors can lure Arsenal into a chaotic shootout as the hosts generally prefer patterned control.
Let’s try manifest an entertaining affair…
    Our Prediction: 4-2 to Arsenal
    Say no moreCredit: Reuters
    Wolves v Sheffield United
It’s difficult to look past a comfortable home win here.
The Blades are 20th in the table having mustered just 13 points since promotion and their 5-0 defeat to Brighton last time out was particularly disheartening – albeit they were forced to play with ten men from the 13th minute.
Matheus Cunha’s injury came as a blow to Gary O’Neil but Pedro Neto offers plenty of threat and the return of Hwang Hee-chan from international duty has bolstered Wolves’ forward line.
The visitors have conceded 65 goals in 25 league games this season… it makes for bleak reading.
    Our Prediction: 3-0 to Wolves
Neto should enjoy himself against the league’s worst defenceCredit: Getty
    Brentford v West Ham
Monday night football once again pits two out-of-sorts teams against each other.
Only Burnley sit below the Hammers in the form table while the Bees have registered just two wins since early December.
Thomas Frank has at least been able to call upon a potent weapon in the form of Ivan Toney in recent weeks – the target man is averaging a goal every 135 minutes since his return.
That being said, we’ve had a lot of success predicting underwhelming draws lately and this match-up feels like it fits the same bill.
    Our Prediction: 1-1 draw

    Brentford v Liverpool
Everyone knows by now that 12:30am on a Saturday is Jurgen Klopp’s least favourite kick-off time but the league leaders will start as clear favourites at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Only Manchester City have scored more goals than the Reds in the top flight this term but the underlying numbers (xG) suggest Liverpool have generated the most threat.
The visitors are likely to be without Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah this weekend but the likes of Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez should have too much firepower for the Bees.
    Most read in Football
Thomas Frank’s men are 16th in the form table over the last ten fixtures and while the return of Ivan Toney has boosted their hopes, it’s difficult to look past an away win.
    Our Prediction: 3-1 to Liverpool
Liverpool will be without Alexander-ArnoldCredit: Rex
    Manchester City v Chelsea
The first thing to note is that the defending champions have won 11 games in a row in all competitions and remain unbeaten at home this season.
Score Predictor users will remember the reverse fixture between these two teams finished 4-4 but Pep Guardiola’s men have raised their level since.
The Blues continue to blow hot and cold having been overpowered by Liverpool and dismantled by Wolves before encouraging victories over Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
Chelsea look good when everything clicks but they’re still too easily thrown into disrepair, as evidenced by the fact they’re tenth in the table having won ten times and lost ten times.
37% of Score Predictor users have submitted a 3-1 home win at this stage which feels about right – City have struggled for clean sheets this campaign.
Our Prediction: 3-1 to Man City
Man City are a different beast when Haaland, Rodri and De Bruyne are all availableCredit: Getty
    Sheffield United v Brighton
The Seagulls have won two, drawn two, lost two in their last six league games – a Score Predictor user’s nightmare.
That being said, a meeting with the team currently rooted to the bottom of the table has to be considered a favourable match-up.
The Blades won their third league game of the season last time out but the Bramall Lane faithful will have kept their feet on the ground as only Burnley have earned fewer points at home at this stage.
Brighton have only won three times on the road in the top flight but they’ll feel confident ahead of this weekend having beaten Sheffield United 5-2 in the FA Cup last month.
The home fans may get something to cheer at least as Roberto De Zerbi’s men don’t really do clean sheets.
    Our Prediction: 3-1 to Brighton
Both teams score more often than notCredit: Getty
    Luton v Manchester United
The Red Devils have seemingly turned a corner of late with only Man City and Liverpool above them in the form table (last six games) at present.
Rasmus Hojlund has found his shooting boots with Alejando Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes providing plenty of support behind the Danish striker.
As a result, Man United have scored 15 goals in their last five outings in all competitions – a far cry from their underwhelming attacking stats throughout the first half of the campaign.
That being said, their defence is still prone to strange ten-minute spells when everything goes pear-shaped but their results are undoubtedly heading in the right direction.
As for the Hatters, their defeat to Sheffield United last time out was a real spanner in the works.
Prior to that loss (probably the first time they haven’t been underdogs in the league since promotion) they had gone unbeaten in six games, which included a surprise thrashing of Brighton and a crazy 4-4 draw with Newcastle.
Rewind a couple of months and it would have been easy to envisage United coming unstuck at Kenilworth Road on a Sunday afternoon but their in-form attack should have enough to carry them through this one.
Our Prediction: 3-2 to Manchester United

    Everton v Crystal Palace
After a decent run before Christmas, the Toffees are now without a win in 11 games and are once again threatened by relegation, mostly because of their ten-point deduction of course.
However, Sean Dyche’s side have had the wood over the Eagles of late.
In fact, Monday night’s meeting will be the fourth time these two teams have played each other since November 11th – with wins for Everton either side of a 0-0 draw.
At the time of writing, it’s unclear who will be in the dugout for Palace at Goodison Park but they’ll have their work cut out trying to get a tune out of the visitors’ available players – frequent injuries to Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze have been hugely detrimental.
Both these teams desperately struggle to score goals so it’s unlikely to be a festival of attacking football and we suspect it’s the type of encounter that will leave neither set of supporters satisfied.
