      Arsenal will star in All Or Nothing on Amazon Prime like Tottenham as fans brace themselves for ‘peak comedy’

      Arsenal have confirmed their 2021-22 season will be the subject of a documentary that will be released in late 2022.
      The ‘All Or Nothing’ series will go behind the scenes at the Emirates, filming team meetings, training ground antics and dressing room arguments.
      Mark Gonnella, the club’s media and communications director, said: “We are looking forward to giving our fans around the world a unique insight into how we work day to day.
      “We have one of the biggest global followings in the game and one consistent thing we hear from fans is their desire to see more about what happens behind closed doors at the club.
      “All or Nothing will give our fans and sport lovers an opportunity to learn more about what makes Arsenal such a special club, our trophy laden history and our ambitions for future success.”
      Dan Grabiner, Amazon’s head of UK originals, added: “Arsenal is a historic club going through a fascinating period – and we can’t wait to take viewers behind-the-scenes on the journey of this crucial season.
      “All or Nothing is about intimate access to the passion and commitment behind elite sport and in Arsenal we have the perfect subject for the next chapter.

      City were the first English club to be covered by the Amazon documentary series after their Premier League title-winning campaign in 2018-19 was filmed.
      Arsenal’s bitter rivals Tottenham were then covered the following season, which saw the club finish sixth in the Prem under Jose Mourinho.
      The Gunners have struggled in recent years, finishing a below-par eighth the last two seasons and not qualifying for the Champions League since 2016.
      Most Arsenal fans want to see owner Stan Kroenke leave the club, with tensions growing after the failed European Super League plot in April.
      The documentary’s announcement has delighted many football fans on social media, with one tweeting: “This is gonna be PEAK comedy right here.”

      While another wrote: “Can’t wait to see Arteta’s spankings at half-time.”
      But a lot of Arsenal supporters are embarrassed by the news, with one writing: “I don’t think anyone wanted this.”
      Another tweeted: “This will be a shambles.”
      And one supporter wrote: “Can’t we just enjoy the Spurs disaster for a few years before we give them some of our banterlicious content?”

      Premier League confirm new £5.1BILLION TV deal which continues Sky, BT, Amazon and BBC agreement for three more years

      PREMIER LEAGUE chiefs have confirmed agreement on a new £5.1billion TV deal.The deal to ‘rollover’ the current contracts with Sky, BT, Amazon Prime and the BBC for a further three seasons was confirmed ‘unanimously’ at a virtual meeting of the 20 clubs on Wednesday.

      But as a condition to get Government approval to bypass the normal bidding process, the clubs agreed to give up £100million between them over the next four years – with the money spread throughout the football pyramid.
      Explaining the deal, which comes into effect from the end of next season, a Prem spokesman said: “This agreement is based on the renewals safeguarding the world-leading levels of financial support committed to the football community through solidarity, youth development and wider community and good causes contributions.
      “The UK renewals for the next broadcast cycle – from seasons 2022-23 to 2024-25 – will be concluded at the same overall value as the current arrangements between the Premier League and its broadcast partners.
      “As part of the Premier League’s developing strategic plan, the renewals will provide financial certainty to clubs throughout professional football as a result of maintaining current levels of support and enables the League to commit to increased funding.
      “This will give security and continuity throughout the pyramid until at least 2025.
      “Pre-pandemic, the Premier League budgeted to commit £1.5bn to the pyramid over a three-year period, more than any other sporting organisation provides to its community.
      “That commitment will be maintained during the next rights cycle and will be supplemented by an additional £100m of funding.
      “This additional £100m will be provided over the next four years only, and will extend support to areas of the football community particularly vulnerable to the impacts of Covid-19.

      “The additional funding will be available to more than 1,000 clubs in the National League system, women’s and girls’ football, EFL League One and League Two clubs and the Football Foundation.
      “It will also support a number of football-wide projects, which will include the Premier League’s work looking at head injuries in football, anti-discrimination and fan groups who receive funding from the Premier League.”
      The deal means Sky will retain the lion’s share of live matches with 128 matches, BT showing 52 and Amazon Prime 20.
      But in a slight tweak, BT announced that, in European weeks it would move its Saturday lunchtime game to 7:45pm if the match featured a team that had played Champions League football the previous Wednesday.
      Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all complained bitterly about being forced into lunchtime action after Euro matches this season.
      ‘SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON FOOTBALL’
      Prem chief executive Richard Masters said: “The Premier League would like to express our gratitude to our broadcast partners for their continued commitment to the Premier League and support for the football pyramid.
      “We are hugely appreciative of the Government agreeing in principle to allow this arrangement and for their continued support for the Premier League and the English game.
      “Covid-19 has had a significant impact on football, and renewals with our UK broadcast partners will reduce uncertainty, generate stability and promote confidence within the football pyramid.
      “We know that, once concluded, this will have a positive impact on the wider industry, jobs and tax revenues and will enable us to maintain and increase our existing solidarity and community financial commitments to the football pyramid for the next four years, even though we are yet to understand the full impact of the pandemic.
      “It comes at an important time and will enable us to plan ahead with increased certainty against a more stable economic backdrop.”

      Andrea Pirlo’s arrival as head coach will be prominent in the early scenes of the series, with Arthur Melo’s initiation having signed from Barcelona also caught on camera.
      In his first job in charge of a senior team, ex-midfielder Pirlo says: “I realised that I was in the right place at the right time.
      “I jumped straight into it and it became all I could think about.”

      The exclusive series promises to reveal the agony and ecstasy of other football documentaries with Juve’s insight produced by the same team behind Sunderland ‘Til I Die.

      Amazon Prime to show every LaLiga clash until end of 2021-22 season – but fans must pay additional subscriber fee

      AMAZON PRIME have struck up a deal with LaLiga to show every match on their streaming service.
      The partnership will commence this weekend and will last until the end of the 2021-22 season.

      However, fans will need to fork out an extra £6.99 every month in order to tune in to the likes of Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard.
      It will also include access to a LaLiga channel that will be aired 24/7 and have highlights, analysis and interviews.
      All content will be available to watch both live and on-demand.
      LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, said of the agreement: “We are excited to be growing our UK presence with Amazon Prime Video, which has quickly become an important name in the world of sport.

      “The UK has a deep love of football and a huge demand for premium live content, which is reflected by the range of broadcast options we are making available to fans.”

      Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani claimed he backed the tweet, stating himself on the forum: “I take the responsibility of the Club tweet. I consider that comment completely unnecessary and disrespectful to our Club and particularly to the fantastic hard work of our players and coaches whom were understanding on the pitch for the last two championship seasons by all stats.”
      As Leeds themselves pointed out, they finished last season on 93 points – ten ahead of nearest rivals West Brom.
