    That’s all from us
That is all from us tonight on an action packed night of Premier League football, which saw Arsenal overcome an early goal to beat West Ham 3-1, and move seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Be sure to join us again tomorrow for coverage of Chelsea vs Bournemouth, as well as checking out the breaking news, that Cody Gakpo has just signed for Liverpool from PSV.
Thank you as always for reading, it has been a pleasure, and I hope to see you again soon.
    Good night!
    Odegaard the Magista
Wow, what a performance that was from Martin Odegaard.
When Real Madrid signed him as a 16-year-old, many raised their eyebrows, but they could obviously see the potential that this man has in his wand of a left foot from a young age.
Two assists, both of a high class, which topped off a performance of the ages from the Norweigan.
It is time to give him his flowers, as he has been the best midfielder in the Premier League so far this season, alongside Kevin De Bruyne.
And for those of you reading who enjoy the somewhat finer moments on a football pitch, the romantics if you will, please go and watch the highlights of this game.
Hopefully they include his magical nutmeg on Lucas Paqueta, a quaint back-heel through the Brazilian’s legs, as he served up some Samba Sauce with an ice cold Norweigan chill.
He is a really wonderful footballer, and for that reason, gets the SunSport man of the match award.

    ‘We’re top of the league’
Was the chant ringing around The Emirates at full-time, and they have plenty of reason to celebrate after they overcame conceding an early goal to win 3-1 at home on Boxing Day.
Arsenal looked a little rusty to begin with, as William Saliba scythed down Jarrod Bowen inside the box to give the visitors an early penalty.
That penalty was dispatched by Said Benrahma, and celebrated in typically cool fashion.
But the celebrations didn’t last too long, as early in the second half Bukayo Saka continued his brilliant season dispatching a mishit shot from Odegaard into the bottom left corner.
Martinelli then gave the hosts the lead, with left footed, low driven shot past Fabianski.
It was Nketiah who scored the pick of the bunch, spinning Thilo Kehrer, and finishing off an excellent team goal that was typical Arsenal.
A great result and a great night for The Gunners, who will have made Arsene Wenger proud with that showing.

Arsenal come forward again with Odegaard and Saka.
The brilliant English winner looks to provide for Xhaka in the middle, but the cross is cut out.
    82. Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
Odegaard has a go from distance, but that is not his finest work.
Aside from that, the Norweigan has been unbelievable today, and is definitely the man of the match for me today.
    78. Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
A change for West Ham, as Pablo Fornals replaces Thomas Soucek.
    76. Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
Arsenal win a free-kick, which is being lined up by Granit Xhaka from distance.
It is blocked and Zinchenko does really well to win the ball back for his team.
    74. Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
Zinchenko replaces Kieran Tierney at left back.
Arsenal will be pleased to have him back, as the Ukrainian provides such quality and utility in the squad.
    72. Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
That is exquisite, and it is textbook Arsenal.
Wenger will be proud in the crowd.
They pass the ball around the edge of the box, before finding the magical feet of Martin Odegaard, who threads a ball through to Eddie Nketiah.
It is all about him, as he opens his body up and turns the defender before perfectly finishing his shot into the bottom left corner.
    Wow.
    70. Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
    What a goal.
    What.
    A.
    Goal.
    Eddie Nketiah.
    68. Arsenal 2-1 West Ham
The corner comes to nothing, before Thilo Kehrer lashes a shot over the bar from distance.
He was trying to re-create something from David Luiz’s catalogue, but instead re-created something from mine…
    66. Arsenal 2-1 West Ham
West Ham counter, and Antonio does well to get the better of Tierney initially, but the Scot does brilliantly to track back and stop the delivery from the Jamaican striker.
    Corner for West Ham.
    64. Arsenal 2-1 West Ham
Arsenal win a free-kick in the attacking third, set to be whipped in by Odegaard’s wand of a left boot.
It is well cleared by the West Ham defence.
    62. Arsenal 2-1 West Ham
Arsenal try to come forward again, and are being roared on by the home supporters now.
Tierney’s low cross is cut out by the West Ham defence.
    60. Arsenal 2-1 West Ham
It is a great left-footed finish by the brilliant Brazilian, who slots it past Fabianski at the near post.
It was set up for him nicely by Granit Xhaka.
    58. Arsenal 2-1 West Ham
It’s two! They are back, Gabriel Martinelli!
    55. Arsenal 1-1 West Ham
That is wonderful by Bukayo Saka!
A mishit shot from the edge of the area from Martin Odegaard falls at the feet of Saka, who showed great awareness to take a touch and dispatch the shot calmly into the bottom corner.
    54. Arsenal 1-1 West Ham
Goal for Arsenal, Bukayo Saka! Assisted by Martin Odegaard!
    52. Arsenal 0-1 West Ham
Kieran Tierney gives away a foul on Jarrod Bowen, before losing an aerial duel to him and going down holding his face.
Weak from the Scottish full-back, and Arteta is screaming for a yellow that is never going to happen.
    48. Arsenal 0-1 West Ham
Chance for Arsenal, but for a great save by Fabianski.
Partey has a go from the edge of the box, but Fabianski gets down to his left hand side and makes a great stop to deny him.

Saka was at the centre of controversy as the Gunners saw a potential goal ruled out for offside.
The linesman flagged for offside despite it initially appearing that there was no offence.
However, replays showed it was the right call because Martin Odegaard’s pass flicked off Saka’s heel before the ball fell to Eddie Nketiah.
And when the touch happened the Arsenal striker was in fact in an offside position, hence denying the North Londoners an opening goal.
But they then found themselves on the wrong end of another decision after William Saliba brought Jarrod Bowen down inside the area.
Said Benrahma stepped up to convert the penalty past Aaron Ramsdale, much to the dismay of a returning Arsene Wenger.
The legendary boss has returned to the Emirates for the first time since leaving the club in 2018.
But Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have since drawn the hosts level and put them ahead in the second half.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have submitted a £52.5million bid for Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk. More

The star striker almost stepped up for another spot-kick on his first Premier League match after the World Cup during the 2-2 draw with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The 29-year-old appeared to be wrestled to the ground inside the Bees’ area by Ben Mee.
Spurs stars were up in arms after the referee waived play on but Kane barely contested the decision.
Manchester United legend Evra insisted that was “100 per cent” a penalty for the North Londoners.

But the former France international poked fun at the England captain claiming he “didn’t need” another spot-kick after his heartbreaking miss in Qatar.
Evra told Amazon Prime: “It is a penalty. It is a 100 per cent penalty.
“The only reason, and sometimes I like to make jokes, but maybe Harry is fine with that. I don’t need a penalty right now.
“This is impossible that the referees couldn’t give a penalty for this. The referee sees the players coming at you. You need to have a look and check. It is a clear penalty.”

Hansi Flick’s side have failed to make the World Cup knockout rounds for a second consecutive tournament.
After a shock loss to Japan, a draw against Spain and a win over Costa Rica weren’t enough to send Germany through.
It was revealed in September that Amazon cameras would be given access all areas to their campaign in Qatar.
The four-time winners were aiming to bounce back from a disappointing campaign in Russia four years ago.

Fans all saying the same thing after Amazon Prime get Potter and Frank to interview each other before Prem clash

VIEWERS hailed “refreshing” rival bosses Graham Potter and Thomas Frank – after they interviewed EACH OTHER.Chelsea chief Potter and Brentford counterpart Frank responded with “insightful” questions and answers after Amazon Prime surprised them with the unique interview set-up before Wednesday night’s 0-0 draw.

One armchair observer posted: “That is class! Two opposing managers asking each other questions. We need to see more of this.”
Others agreed, with comments like: “They should do this more often” and “Game. Changed.”
Thanking the presenter, one viewer tweeted: “Well done Simon Thomas for opening this and allowing it to flow, more of this please. Brings a whole new relevant and dynamic insight into commentary and build up.”
The innovation seemed to stun the audience at home as much as it did the two bosses on the Community Stadium pitch.

One observer said: “That was odd but I really enjoyed it.”
And approval snowballed on social media with posts like: “Quite refreshing to be fair.
“Football constantly gives off the message of being very insular and impenetrable. Open discussion, seeing they are just normal people in a unique position most would give their right arm to be in. Should happen more often.”
Another fan reckoned it’s just part of the channel’s bright coverage.

He tweeted: ” Absolutely love this from Prime. Big fan of their coverage.”
Quite a few viewers, however, pointed they they were still suffering major technical problems.
One wrote: “Great idea, now please fix your streams they are buffering and awful!”
But, when the technical side was fine, Prime won plaudits for its general coverage of the Premier League.
These included: “Amazon have got this coverage locked, every game every goal is fantastic. Graphics spot on. Innovation pre match. The coverage is the coverage, but it looks so professional.”
And this was a similar verdict: “Less ads, more analysis and not afraid to do things slightly different like the above content. Shame they only cover 20 games a season.”
So what were the “penetrating” questions asked by each of the two managers?
Frank lived up to his name with: “Why are you changing your formation so many times?”
Jorginho and Co seemed disappointed as Chelsea were held in the PremCredit: PA
A laughing Potter replied: “Good question!” – before explaining it depended on the differing needs of each game, such as opposition tactics.
But he added: “Hopefully there are things that look the same even if the formation changes.”
Consistency certainly seems a feature of Potter’s brief Chelsea reign so far as Wednesday’s tough stalemate leaves him with five wins and two draws from seven games.
But when turning the tables on Frank, Potter considered dishing out a “hard question” before settling for a more a standard question: “The biggest difference from the Championship to the Premier League?”
Frank’s reply to that was also by the book.
He said: “The pace of the game, the quality of the players is crazy.

“You can make one minor mistake and be punished every time. You just get punished so much more.”
Frank, then, clearly won the battle when it came to choosing questions – in what was very much an interview of two halves. More
