Saka was at the centre of controversy as the Gunners saw a potential goal ruled out for offside.
The linesman flagged for offside despite it initially appearing that there was no offence.
However, replays showed it was the right call because Martin Odegaard’s pass flicked off Saka’s heel before the ball fell to Eddie Nketiah.
And when the touch happened the Arsenal striker was in fact in an offside position, hence denying the North Londoners an opening goal.
But they then found themselves on the wrong end of another decision after William Saliba brought Jarrod Bowen down inside the area.
Said Benrahma stepped up to convert the penalty past Aaron Ramsdale, much to the dismay of a returning Arsene Wenger.
The legendary boss has returned to the Emirates for the first time since leaving the club in 2018.
But Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have since drawn the hosts level and put them ahead in the second half.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have submitted a £52.5million bid for Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk. More

The star striker almost stepped up for another spot-kick on his first Premier League match after the World Cup during the 2-2 draw with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The 29-year-old appeared to be wrestled to the ground inside the Bees’ area by Ben Mee.
Spurs stars were up in arms after the referee waived play on but Kane barely contested the decision.
Manchester United legend Evra insisted that was “100 per cent” a penalty for the North Londoners.

But the former France international poked fun at the England captain claiming he “didn’t need” another spot-kick after his heartbreaking miss in Qatar.
Evra told Amazon Prime: “It is a penalty. It is a 100 per cent penalty.
“The only reason, and sometimes I like to make jokes, but maybe Harry is fine with that. I don’t need a penalty right now.
“This is impossible that the referees couldn’t give a penalty for this. The referee sees the players coming at you. You need to have a look and check. It is a clear penalty.”

Hansi Flick’s side have failed to make the World Cup knockout rounds for a second consecutive tournament.
After a shock loss to Japan, a draw against Spain and a win over Costa Rica weren’t enough to send Germany through.
It was revealed in September that Amazon cameras would be given access all areas to their campaign in Qatar.
The four-time winners were aiming to bounce back from a disappointing campaign in Russia four years ago.

But instead of a record equalling fifth triumph, Die Mannschaft are heading home early again.
And fans have been quick to joke about the documentary, which is set to be released in Spring 2023.
One wrote on Twitter: “Wait I swear Germany were doing an all or nothing documentary about their World Cup journey… awks.”
Another joked: “That Germany All or Nothing Documentary on @PrimeVideo will be the shortest ever.”

Fans all saying the same thing after Amazon Prime get Potter and Frank to interview each other before Prem clash

VIEWERS hailed “refreshing” rival bosses Graham Potter and Thomas Frank – after they interviewed EACH OTHER.Chelsea chief Potter and Brentford counterpart Frank responded with “insightful” questions and answers after Amazon Prime surprised them with the unique interview set-up before Wednesday night’s 0-0 draw.

One armchair observer posted: “That is class! Two opposing managers asking each other questions. We need to see more of this.”
Others agreed, with comments like: “They should do this more often” and “Game. Changed.”
Thanking the presenter, one viewer tweeted: “Well done Simon Thomas for opening this and allowing it to flow, more of this please. Brings a whole new relevant and dynamic insight into commentary and build up.”
The innovation seemed to stun the audience at home as much as it did the two bosses on the Community Stadium pitch.

One observer said: “That was odd but I really enjoyed it.”
And approval snowballed on social media with posts like: “Quite refreshing to be fair.
“Football constantly gives off the message of being very insular and impenetrable. Open discussion, seeing they are just normal people in a unique position most would give their right arm to be in. Should happen more often.”
Another fan reckoned it’s just part of the channel’s bright coverage.

He tweeted: ” Absolutely love this from Prime. Big fan of their coverage.”
Quite a few viewers, however, pointed they they were still suffering major technical problems.
One wrote: “Great idea, now please fix your streams they are buffering and awful!”
But, when the technical side was fine, Prime won plaudits for its general coverage of the Premier League.
These included: “Amazon have got this coverage locked, every game every goal is fantastic. Graphics spot on. Innovation pre match. The coverage is the coverage, but it looks so professional.”
And this was a similar verdict: “Less ads, more analysis and not afraid to do things slightly different like the above content. Shame they only cover 20 games a season.”
So what were the “penetrating” questions asked by each of the two managers?
Frank lived up to his name with: “Why are you changing your formation so many times?”
Jorginho and Co seemed disappointed as Chelsea were held in the PremCredit: PA
A laughing Potter replied: “Good question!” – before explaining it depended on the differing needs of each game, such as opposition tactics.
But he added: “Hopefully there are things that look the same even if the formation changes.”
Consistency certainly seems a feature of Potter’s brief Chelsea reign so far as Wednesday’s tough stalemate leaves him with five wins and two draws from seven games.
But when turning the tables on Frank, Potter considered dishing out a “hard question” before settling for a more a standard question: “The biggest difference from the Championship to the Premier League?”
Frank’s reply to that was also by the book.
He said: “The pace of the game, the quality of the players is crazy.

“You can make one minor mistake and be punished every time. You just get punished so much more.”
Frank, then, clearly won the battle when it came to choosing questions – in what was very much an interview of two halves. More
