And he watched as Asakura made a bright start in the opening stages, landing to the body and keeping Mayweather at bay.
The self-proclaimed “Best Ever” was forced to evade heavy artillery coming his way.
Mayweather did pick up the pace towards the end of the opening round as he started to fire off his famous piston-like right hand.
The second proved to be all out action with the American starting on the front foot.

Mayweather, 45, landed a series of rear hand shots, both to head and body.
But Asakura, 30, fired back and even landed a perfect counter right hook, which snapped Mayweather’s head back.
That actually proved to be the beginning of the end as the 50-0 boxing icon poured on the pressure.
Asakura had no defence for a barrage of right hands coming his way and he was eventually floored just as the bell sounded.

He did his best to get to his feet but on shaken legs, experienced referee Kenny Bayless waved off the action.
It brought an end to six action-packed minutes, which saw Mayweather triumph in his fourth exhibition bout in as many years.
He said: “I would like to thank the whole country of Japan. Unbelievable country, unbelievable people.
“An exciting, crazy turnout, round of applause for this tough competitor.”
Pacquiao, 43, who retired last year, then entered the ring and embraced with Mayweather.
It came after Mayweather said: “Another legend right here, eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao.
    “Great champion. Unbelievable world champion.”
Mayweather officially retired in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 34, in ten rounds.
But he returned a year later, beating featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 24, in one round of a RIZIN promoted card.

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua in doubt as promoter Eddie Hearn says AJ will not sign contract by Monday deadline

TYSON FURY’S blockbuster showdown with Anthony Joshua is at risk of collapse after Eddie Hearn revealed AJ’s camp will not sign the contract by tomorrow’s deadline. The British heavyweight duo looked set for one of the biggest fights in boxing history.

Fury called out AJ and an agreement was in place for the pair to step into the ring in Cardiff on December 3.
However, the finer details of the paperwork are yet to be finalised meaning nothing has been signed.
Fury handed Joshua an ultimatum on Saturday night, telling him to put pen to paper by Monday or else he will be “moving on”.
The Gypsy King said: “I was optimistic about three weeks ago but it shouldn’t be taking this long to sign a contract.

“I’m not waiting around for some guy who has lost three of his last five fights.”
But Joshua’s promoter Hearn hit back at Fury’s comments by standing his ground.
The Matchroom chief said: “Look Tyson Fury has no intention of taking this fight if that’s the route he’s going to take.
“Tyson Fury said he’s retired, Tyson Fury said he’s going to give his money to the homeless.

“And now Tyson Fury is saying, ‘I’m walking away from the fight if you don’t sign on Monday.’
“Well guess what? We ain’t signing on Monday because we are having a meeting on Monday to discuss numerous points within the contract.”
Fury – who was ringside as Joe Joyce knocked out Joseph Parker – has his fights broadcast on BT Sport and ESPN in America but AJ recently penned an exclusive deal with streaming app DAZN.
The TV channel remains one of the final stumbling blocks that could potentially scupper the fight but both sides are willing to negotiate a plan.
But Fury insists his rival Joshua, who suffered a second successive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk on August 20, is in no position to make demands.
The Morecambe giant also laughed off Usyk’s suggestion that the Brit is trying to duck out of their four-belt decider.
A £125million offer from Saudi Arabia was on the table but on the condition the bout happened on December 17, to upstage rival neighbour Qatar’s World Cup Final on the 18th.
But Usyk refused to rush into another training camp – especially with his country still being invaded by Russia – and has ruled himself out until 2023. More

    Great sportsmanship
    You love to see it.
Joseph Parker holds Joyce’s hand up to the sky.
What a display from Joyce that was, he took Parker’s heart away in that one.
    What a fight…
That was an immense contest from Joyce and Parker there.
Parker was doing brilliantly to stay in that one, but Joyce reacted so well to hit a long range left hook that knocked Parker down to the ground.
That was the icing on the cake for Joe Joyce who put up a great showing there…
    Round Eleven…
Some big shots early from Joyce who rocked Parker there, he gets a good left hook too.
Parker has done immensely well to stay in it.
But HE IS KNOCKED OUT BY JOYCE IN THE ELEVENTH ROUND.

    Round Ten…
Parker looks out on his feet, but then produces some big comeback shots it seems.
Tyson Fury can be seen cheering on Joseph Parker, and they both look to be feeling the pace as we near the end of this one.
Joyce is just peppering away at Parker where he can, and gets a good body shot on Parker.
Joyce just not allowing his opponent a breather at the moment.
Good work from Parker who gets some solid left hands in the end there.
    Round Nine…
It seems Joyce now has a significant lead in this one.
There is some quality work from Joe Parker, who gets a great uppercut on Joyce, but he returns it with interest!
Parker is putting in a big effort in the ninth here.
But Joyce is simply getting some big right hand shots.
    Round Eight…
Joyce starts well, and Parker looks to be getting weaker and weaker.
Joyce is really going for it with relentless pressure now, he will not take a backwards step.
Parker does pretty well to try and come back, but he really cannot get at Joyce now.
The relentlessness of the juggernaut is being shown here in the eighth round.
Huge credit to Parker who is still there despite a cut on his face.
    A great round.
    Round Seven…
The jab has been key for Joyce tonight, who has had the ‘perfect fight’ so far according to David Haye.
Everything is bouncing off Joyce’s head at the moment.
A good right hand from Parker early in the seventh round.
    Joyce keeps on coming…
A good jab from Joyce is followed by a right cross.
Parker looks like the one who is struggling, but then he comes back with a few good shots of his own and seems to spring into action.
A good spell from Joe Joyce, who is taking a few more risks now.
Parker goes back to the ropes, and the bell comes not a moment too soon for him, as his right eye looks damaged.
    Round Six…
Joyce is landing more, harder punches at this stage, and he looks to be the more intelligent fighter at this point.
Joyce keeps ploughing forward here, and looks physically the stronger man.
A few good shots from Parker, but he gets caught with a short right uppercut from Joyce.
A dominant three minutes from Joyce there.
    Round Five…
It’s all Joyce in that one, as he looks to be in control.
What a fight we have on our hands, as Parker shows that he has that right hook on him!
That one must be in favour of Joyce.
    Round Four…
It’s two rounds to one in favour of Joyce for us right now.
Parker gets a very low punch in on Joyce.
Clever boxing on the outside from Joyce, who is respectful of Parker’s power, and knows that the right hand of Parker can cause serious damage.
It’s not really been emphatic one way or the other so far.
A great right hand from Parker, but what a chin from Joyce, he just takes it and carries on. That landed plush.
The quality shots in that one were from Parker.
    Round Three…
Parker looks like he is waiting for a big right hand over the top, but Joyce does really well and gets a good right and left.
Joyce just keeps on coming and Parker looks really hurt as Joyce senses blood.
Joyce really looking strong here and showing his power to Parker.
A good uppercut comes back from Parker.
A few big body shots from Parker and another uppercut, but Joyce comes back.
This one is really warming up as we end the third round with a big right hand from Parker!
    Round Two…
Both sides land some solid shots mid-round as we have another close round.
Joyce looked to settle into that one a bit more, Parker has some blood around his nose and his corner tell him to finish the rounds strong, as they are so close.
    Round One…
The feeling was that Parker was likely to start fast, and they are just feeling each other out in the early stages…
A nice jab from Joyce early in the round, followed by some decent body shots from Parker.
Parker gets a big right hand late on.
Three minutes over, they both had moments of success but Parker maybe just did enough to win that first round.
    Here we go…
They are out and ready for their official introductions.
    Here we go!
    The big one up next!
Up next we have your main event.
    Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker.
    This will be explosive.
    Let’s get ready to rumble!
    Serrano speaks out…
“She was tough, I think all women are tough
“She knew who she was up against, she gave me a fight.
“I want the last piece in the puzzle, to become undisputed, and then the rematch with Katie Taylor.”
I want the last piece in the puzzle, to become undisputed, and then the rematch with Katie Taylor.”Amanda Serrano
    Amanda Serrano is the winner!
It was a dominant, confident performance from Serrano, who is deserving of the win for sure.
Huge credit goes to Mahfoud, who will come away with heaps of pride after that fight.
She wins it by unanimous decision.
It could be Katie Taylor again next, but we will wait and see…
    Round Ten…
Much better from Mahfoud, Serrano looks a bit stunned from one of those punches.
This has been a fantastic fight as we draw towards the final bell.
Serrano looks to come on strong in the final few seconds, Mahfoud has been good again this round.
The fight comes to a close, and there is a great show of sportsmanship from both fighters, as well as a round of applause from the referee.
    Round Nine…
Great combination from Mahfoud, who was excellent in that round.
She has given a good account of herself in the second half of the fight, as Serrano seems to do her work and then sit back a bit more.
She needs to go for a knockout if she is going to win this it seems…
    Round Eight…
Serrano is looking comfortable at the end of this one, and tries to bring the uppercut through.
A few good shots from Mahfoud in this round, and it begs the question, if she had a bit more belief early on then this could be a closer fight than it is now.
    Round Seven…
Serrano is back into her groove in this round it seems, the last round could be a decision to have a bit of a rest and come back stronger.
That is a clear round in favour of Serrano.

Joyce woke up for the second and made a bloody mess of Parker’s nose.

Parker scored with two cracking right hands in the fourth too, but Joyce didn’t even wince.
Somehow he shipped the shots and just carried on marching forward and throwing his own.
It must have been soul destroying to have all his best punches getting brushed off.
Joyce raced out for the sixth and smashed a right hand straight onto Parker’s broken nose.
The Kiwi was struggling to breath through his nostrils and having to gasp for air through his mouth.
Parker suffered a bad cut on the corner of his right eye in the seventh when he simply could not escape Joyce’s relentless abuse.

Team Parker did their best to close the gash but the first punch of the eighth ripped it open again and the claret was like a red rag to a raging bull.
Joyce was still getting punched back but he was overpowering and exhausting Parker in every clinch and slashing away at his head and body.
Joyce’s white tasseled shorts were pink by the end of the ninth and – while Parker looked like he had been ambushed by a gang of thugs – Joyce still looked fresh as a daisy, despite getting hit with dozens of big shots.
Parker looked finished in the tenth too but then dug so deep to land five left hooks right on the bell.

And they were anxious about their man suffering his first pro defeat when they had to wait for the scorecards.
After pretty even action, an accidental clash of heads opened up a grizzly deep wound above Heaney’s right eye and the ringside doctor advised referee Steve Gray to wave off the bout.
And the judges scorecards after the five rounds read 49-46, 49-46 and 50-45, handing him his 16th pro win.
Heaney’s team managed to stem the flow of blood but he’s certain to need stitches on the horrible wound.
