Firstly, he suffered a rib injury last December before running into US visa issues ahead of their rescheduled August date.
Tommy and dad John were ringside in Manchester to watch Joe Joyce’s knockout win over Joseph Parker.
And on the undercard, women’s star Amanda Serrano – promoted by Paul – defeated Sarah Mahfoud.
The YouTuber-turned boxer’s manager Nakisa Bidarian was also present and spoke with John to reschedule the celebrity grudge match.

John said in a Q&A with Free Bets: “I was sat with one of his managers and what he was saying is the fight between Jake and Tommy is still very much alive.
“He told me they wanted the fight, and I told them we wanted the fight.
“Amanda Serrano was sat right next to me too and we agreed verbally we were interested in the fight.
“It’s got to happen. Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, it’s got to happen at some point.”

Tyron Woodley, 40, replaced Tommy, 23, last and was knocked out in his rematch with Paul, four months after losing on points.
At that point, it added to KOs over YouTuber “AnEsonGib”, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 38, and retired UFC fighter Ben Askren, 38.
Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, signed after Tommy’s latest pull out but a weight row saw Paul scrap the fight.
It leaves him still yet to face an opponent with prior professional boxing experience, but that changes on October 29.
Paul, 25, returns in Arizona against UFC legend Anderson Silva, 47, who also has a 4-1 record in the ring.
Meanwhile, Tommy is in talks to return on November 13 in Dubai on the undercard of the exhibition between Floyd Mayweather, 45 and YouTuber Deji, 25.
John said: Yeah, we’re looking to get Tommy out there. He last fought on the Wembley undercard, so he needs the action.
I was sat with one of his managers and what he was saying is the fight between Jake and Tommy is still very much alive. John Fury
“It’s a great fight. I was in talks with our lawyers today and it seems pretty much alive, so it seems all set for the 13th of November.
“A few I’s to dot and a few T’s to cross but we’re pretty much there with it.”
Tommy officially started camp today with brother Tyson, 34, and posted a picture on Instagram during an early morning run.
It comes following the news he is expecting his first child with partner Molly-Mae Hague, 23.
But soon-to-be grandad John warned his son can only focus on parenting once his next fight is over.
He told the Daily Mail: “He’s a fighter. That’s what good fighters do.
“It’s good news for Tommy and for Molly. It’s great news for me to be a grandad again, for the 19th time.

Chris Eubank Jr posts video eating giant steak at Salt Bae’s restaurant just days before he has to weigh lowest ever

CHRIS EUBANK JR has posted footage on social media of him tucking into a GIANT steak as the ribbing continues.Eubank Jr, 33, takes on Conor Benn in a second generation match-up – nearly three decades since their dads last fought.

And the 5’11” fighter has continuously trolled Benn, 26, by posting videos eating fast food and sweet treats.
Benn is set to move up 10lb from the 10st 7lb welterweight division for the next gen bout at the O2 on Saturday.
But Eubank Jr is braced to make a career-lowest weight and drop 3lb from his usual 160lb middleweight limit.
He shared footage on his Instagram showing off a huge tomahawk steak at Salt Bae’s restaurant.

The former middleweight and super-middleweight champ posed as the famous chef fed pieces of meat into his mouth with a knife.
Benn’s coach admitted he would consider CANCELLING the Chris Eubank Jr fight if the 157lb catchweight agreement is not met.
A rehydration limit is in place as the pair have to weigh in on the day of the fight, with financial penalties imposed to make the weight.
There is an option to scrap the bout if either comes above 158.5lb, something Benn’s trainer Tony Sims would consider doing.

Sims told the Daily Mail: “We would definitely have a look at that. But I don’t think he will miss the weight by that much.
“Number one, I don’t think he would have suggested that weight, and number two I don’t think he would risk the cancellation.
“He might risk a fine on a pound, but the next pound up I don’t think he’d risk a cancellation.
“But I can’t really speak for him or how he does things, so who knows.”

‘This is how brain injuries occur’ – Chris Eubank Sr STILL wants to ‘boycott’ Conor Benn fight amid safety fears

CHRIS EUBANK SR has sensationally called on fans to BOYCOTT his son’s fight with Conor Benn amid safety fears. The pair of next generation stars are set to fight at 157lb on Saturday at the O2 Arena.

But Eubank Sr voiced concerns over the bout with his son having to weigh a career-lowest.
So much so that he has campaigned to have the fight scrapped, fearing the worst for his eldest son.
Eubank Sr said in a statement to The Fight Is Right: “Dear Spencer and The Fight Is Right. Boycott the fight.
“You know what three pounds beneath the middleweight limit at 33-years-old can do. This is how brain injuries occur.”

Eubank Jr, 32, is a career middleweight at 160lb but he has even campaigned at the super-middleweight limit of 168lb.
Whereas Benn, 26, comes up 10lb from welterweight as the two settled on a compromise.
There is also a rehydration clause, limiting either to what they can weigh the next day, when they hit the scales for a second time.
Despite Eubank Sr’s safety fears, his son has continued to troll his rival by posting videos eating fast food and sweet treats.

Benn slammed the father-son duo for their antics heading into the fight, 30 years after his dad Nigel’s famous rematch with Eubank Sr.
He said: “He took it to a place he didn’t need to take it.
“Maybe he was upset about his son not including him, it just shows a dysfunctional team on their side.
“How can his son be out eating burgers, then his dad is saying he’s worried about his son because he’s losing three pounds?”

Tyson Fury’s dad John offers to fight promoter Eddie Hearn for FREE on undercard of son’s bout with Anthony Joshua

JOHN FURY has offered to fight Eddie Hearn for FREE if Anthony Joshua signs a deal with his son Tyson. The heavyweight stars are still in talks for a December 3 Battle of Britain at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

AJ has had the contract for almost two weeks with broadcasters DAZN, BT Sport and ESPN also thrashing out a network deal.
But Hearn insisted the paperwork is not yet ready to be signed as they go through the finer terms and conditions.
So Fury’s dad is willing to do whatever it takes to get an agreement over the line – even if that means getting in a fight himself.
He told the Daily Mail, via Free Bets: “Whatever they say they can have. I will fight Eddie Hearn on the undercard if they want that as well.

“I will fight AJ’s promoter on the undercard. I will do that for free.
“If they sign the contract today I will box Eddie Hearn on the undercard for free. OK?”
Joshua, 32, suffered consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk, 35, most recently in August in Saudi Arabia.
Usyk was in line to unify his belts against Fury, 34, but the Ukrainian ruled himself out until next year to recover from injuries.

That caused AJ to receive a surprise WBC title fight offer after accepting to concede a 60/40 financial split.
But John still doubts that Joshua truly wants to face his son, having failed to return the contract.
He said: “I think Joshua’s sort of like getting doubts about fighting the Gypsy King.
“You know they’ve had that contract now, for well over a month. Nothing’s happened.
“But what they want, you see, is a to and fro for next two years or twelve months.
“Twelve months or two years back and forth, like they did with Deontay Wilder.
“We don’t want that. Tyson’s capped it off and put a deadline on it as he wants it signed up.
“He wants to get in camp, and then get it under way. Get the fight on and give the fans what they want. We aren’t interested in back and fros.”

Tyson Fury’s US promoter says Eddie Hearn is ‘doing whatever he can’ to prevent Anthony Joshua from fighting Gypsy King

EDDIE HEARN has been accused of “doing whatever he can” to prevent Anthony Joshua from fighting Tyson Fury.

That has led Hall of Famer Bob Arum to doubt that Joshua’s promoter truly wants the fight to go ahead.
Arum said on talkSPORT: “Eddie Hearn is stalling everything, because he doesn’t want the fight to happen.
    READ MORE in BOXING
“And why doesn’t he want the fight to happen? Because Joshua’s lost three out of his last five fights and he figures to lose again if he fights Tyson Fury and so Eddie is in effect being an impediment.
“I don’t know of any issues, he sends a draft and then Frank and George [Warren] reply and then we don’t hear from Eddie for days, he’s stalling until it dies of its own volition.
“I don’t think Joshua is part of that. I think Joshua for whatever reason wants the fight to happen, I know Tyson Fury does.
“But, Eddie doesn’t and so Eddie is doing whatever he can to prevent the fight from happening.

“From Eddie’s standpoint, he believes he has a valuable asset in Joshua who has now lost three out of five fights and figures to lose again, which could make it four out of six and it would make him a lot less valuable after the event, so he’s trying to prevent it from happening.”
But Arum warned not to fault Fury if the fight does not come to fruition.
He said: “You can’t make a fight unless somebody agrees to the contract and if you put him in a torture chamber, he still wouldn’t agree to the contract.
“There’s no issues, if there was some issues then I could see it but there are no issues.

Nigel Benn tells Chris Eubank Jr he’s sorry for saying he hated his dad… but still wishes he’d hurt Chris Sr more

NIGEL BENN will apologise to Chris Eubank Jr for saying he hated his dad – but he still wishes he had split his tongue even worse in their iconic fight.Thirty years ago the British boxing legends went toe-to-toe in one of the most magnificent fights we have ever seen, with Eubank winning in the ninth round.

Now sons Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are set to do battle next weekendCredit: Richard Pelham / The Sun
The violent victory was made even more impressive by the fact the Dark Destroyer had uppercutted a gash into the Brighton brute’s tongue in the fourth round.
Eubank spent the next five breaks swallowing his own blood so trainer Ronnie Davies would not see the extent of the damage and rescue his man from the fire, before bludgeoning Benn to victory.
On Saturday night the sons of the brilliant rivals clash at a 157lbs catch weight and 33-year-old Eubank Jr insists he will batter 26-year-old Conor Benn for the verbal and physical abuse he inflicted on his father.
But 58-year-old Benn vows to only apologise for one of his assaults – while doubling down on the brutal other.

The former two-weight world champ told SunSport: “Chris Jr says he wants revenge for me saying I hated his dad.
“Now I know that was a very stupid thing to say.
“I don’t hate Chris. I did split the side of his tongue and I wish I split the other side too, because we are in the hurt business and maybe Jr doesn’t quite understand that.
“When I see Chris Jr I will apologise for saying that. Things like that don’t need to be said.

“I said it at the time and at the time I didn’t like him, I disliked him a lot. But I really don’t hate anybody.
“If I have to apologise to Chris Jr then so be it, so be it.
“But I still wish I split both sides of his dad’s tongue because this is the hurt business and maybe little Chris needs to grow up.”
Benn Sr was one of the most volatile figures in modern British boxing – from a seriously spicy selection! – so it’s no surprise his heavy-handed lad is a chip-off-the-old-block.
They fight the same, speak the same and dad reckons they even hurt and heal the same.
“None of my other kids are like Conor,” he said proudly. “Me and Conor are just the same.
“We have the same personality and traits and weaknesses but we almost have the same bodies.
“My comeback fight got cancelled when my shoulder went, that was Conor’s next injury.
    ‘WE ARE JUST IDENTICAL’
“When I bust my ankle or wrist, he always does it a few weeks or months later.
“We even have the same scar just around our eyes, we are just identical.
The Chris Eubanks are identical and so are me and my son.”
Conor was rushed into a 2016 pro debut – on a massive Anthony Joshua pay-per-view show – with barely any amateur experience or training but mentor Tony Sims has worked wonders.
And his reformed father – a notorious party animal away from the ring – is amazed by the dedication his boy has shown to the sport.
He said: “When I used to train in Tenerife I would be down in a bar called Rah Rah’s until all hours and then straight to training from there.
“But Conor finishes training and goes straight home to bed to relax, he gets in proper rest.
    His dedication is unbelievableNIGEL BENN
“Conor will get up at 4am, 5am, 6am in the morning to go running and train and that used to be the time that I would get home. His dedication is unbelievable.”
The one thing they cannot agree on is who is the better chef – but thankfully their shared spirituality stops things getting too heated in the kitchen and the gym.
When SunSport told Nigel how highly Conor rates himself as a cook, he roared: “He is a good cook but where the hell do you think he learned? I taught him everything he knows.
“My mum wanted me to be a chef, I love cooking and it has rubbed off on Conor.
“Me and Conor have a blinding relationship. We have a laugh and a chat with each other and with everybody else. We wear our hearts on our sleeves.

Jake Paul reveals terms to fight Floyd Mayweather and says boxing legend ‘can’t function’ without luxury lifestyle

One involved Jake’s brother Logan, 27, who took the boxing legend the eight-round distance in July 2021.
Mayweather, 45, last weekend knocked out Japanese MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura, 30, in two rounds.
And days later he announced another exhibition with YouTuber Deji, 25, on November 13 in Dubai.
Paul, 25, slammed Mayweather for the cash-grab boxing cameos which he said are only in place to fund his spending habits.

He said: “I think he needs money. I legitimately think he needs money. There is no way that you can keep up that lifestyle.
“Think about this, guys. He kept up the same lifestyle that he had while he was fighting – the cars, the jewellery, the rolling around with thirty people, private jets everywhere, vacations, spending millions of dollars on one watch. He’s a f****** dumbass.
“You can’t keep up that same lifestyle after you’re retired. And I think he realises that and then had to get back in shape and started doing these exhibitions.
“Because he can’t function without that lifestyle, that is who he is. That’s his identity.

“It’s Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. Floyd ‘Needs Money’ Mayweather.”
Paul wants to fight Mayweather at a catchweight between 165lb and 175lb and claimed Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza is on board.
But he demanded the American icon settle his financial dispute with brother Logan, who claimed he was not fully paid following their fight.
Paul said: “If he is going to fight then why not fight me?
“I’ll make 175 you make 165, we’ll have a 10lb weight difference we can get that sanctioned.
