The bout at Tottenham Hotspur’s North London stadium was the only one he fought during the period covered by the accounts which run from March 1, 2021 to the end of February this year.
The 32-year-old also made a further £5.6m from sponsorship deals in the UK and around the world in the same period.
The fighter celebrated with a monster dividend payday of £4,507,500 compared to the £3,166,136 he paid himself last year.
After taking off the dividend, a whopping £3.8m tax bill and other costs, Sparta Promotions was left with a profit for 2022 of £13m which boosted company coffers to £106m.

The figures do not include his rematch with 35-year-old Ukranian Uysk, which took place in August in Saudi Arabia and which he also lost.
His take from that encounter will be covered in next year’s figures with predictions saying each fighter was paid around £30m.
Anthony Joshua’s much anticipated fight with Tyson Fury appears to now be OFF after Eddie Hearn revealed that talks had broken down.
Last week Fury pulled out after Joshua’s team failed to agree a contract in time to meet the Gypsy King’s self imposed deadline.

In an Instagram post, Fury said: “Well guys, it’s official. D-day has come and gone. It’s gone past five o’clock, Monday. No contract has been signed. It’s officially over for Joshua. He is now out in the cold with the wolfpack. Forget about it.”
Prior to that Joshua was adamant the fight would go ahead but wanted to get the contract ironed out.
He posted an Instagram Live video saying: “It ain’t in my hands – it’s with a legal team. That’s why you hire lawyers.
“You know the history of boxing – make sure you get your legal terms right. That’s why you get good management and good lawyers.
“So of course I’m going to sign the contract – it’s just with some lawyers at the minute.”

I survived an assassination attempt after being shot, I’m not afraid of Tyson Fury and will KO him, says Mahmoud Charr

MIRACLEMAN Mahmoud Charr refuses to be intimidated by Tyson Fury – having overcome far more devastating fights in his life. The Germany-based, Lebanon-born Syrian is in talks to face Fury in December, after negotiations with Anthony Joshua broke down.

Charr at one point was considered the forgotten man of the heavyweight division, despite remarkably escaping death.
The 37-year-old survived an assassination attempt in 2015 and amazingly returned to the ring nine months later.
So he finds it fitting comeback king Fury – who beat depression to win back the world title – wants to fight him.
Charr told SunSport: “Fury, the Gypsy King, and me, the Arab King, have one thing in common: we both never give up.

“Fury had severe depression, wanted to take his own life. My life was almost taken. I survived a shot in the stomach.
“I decided to have two hip operations in one evening. After that, I became a world champion.
“Fury and I are ambassadors for never giving up, believing in yourself and fighting for your dreams. A person without a dream has no life.”
Even before Charr was shot four times in the stomach, he had to overcome hardship, fleeing from civil war that claimed his father’s life.

The boxer spent time in prison in his teenage years, before turning his life around with a career in the ring.
Charr said: “I survived a bullet in the Libyan civil war when I was four years old. I lost my father in that war.
“In Germany, I spent a total of three or four years in prison. I had a very hard life, had no money.
“I was always on the street, having to struggle, fight my way through life.
“Finally, it was martial arts that taught me discipline and made me a better person.
“Yes, I have experienced a lot. The abdominal shot I mentioned, the bilateral hip surgery.
“I am probably the only professional athlete who is still active with two artificial hip joints and plays so far above.”

Charr was 28–4 when his life was almost taken from him, following a cowardly assault from a Facebook troll.
The attacker had been provoking the fighter online, posing videos of his losses on social media.
But when Charr offered to face the man behind the screen in person, he was subject to a drive-by shooting in a kebab shop in Essen.
He miraculously survived and lived to see his shooter, Youssef Hassan, sentenced to five years in prison.
Charr had two tune-ups fights afterwards but later needed a double replacement, undergoing surgery in 2017 at the age of just 32.
The same year, he went on to win the WBA’s secondary world title and has won his last five bouts.
Charr’s biggest fight to date was a 2012 loss to Vitali Klitschko, but challenging for Fury’s WBC crown would top that.
And despite the British star’s unbeaten record and fine winning-form, Charr remains unnerved, after conquering much more outside the ring.

He said: “I am not afraid of anyone.
“Fear is a feeling and feelings can be controlled. Fear exists only in your mind.
“Everyone who knows me knows that I would even fight a T-Rex. I will knock out Tyson Fury in four rounds.”

And promoter Hearn slammed the decision to have Charr in place as an alternative opponent.
But the Lebanese-born German-based heavyweight has hit back, aiming a dig at ex-world champion Tony Bellew, 39, too.
Charr, 37, said on Instagram: “Eddie Hearn, don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong.
“Go out from our business. You got your chance from p******* [Anthony Joshua] to fight the king, the Gypsy King.

“Listen, guy. Go out from the business; you are nothing. You have no world champion now. Joshua is broken mentally.

Fury, 34, is in training for his return fight, expected to still be at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
Meanwhile Joshua, 32, could be back by December 17 although the only available venue is the Wembley Arena, which has a max capacity of 12,500.
AJ was recently beaten on points by Oleksandr Usyk, 35, the second time in the space of 11 months.
And Fury knocked out Dillian Whyte, 34, in April when he announced his retirement only to backtrack soon after.

Anthony Joshua to fight on December 17 at Wembley Arena against ‘a quality opponent’ after Tyson Fury fight collapse

ANTHONY JOSHUA will face a “a quality opponent” on December 17 at Wembley Arena after his fight with Tyson Fury collapsed.AJ’s Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn officially declared that the star’s proposed Battle of Britain on December 3 with the WBC champ was OFF after a breakdown in negotiations.

Fury initially wanted to unify the belts against Oleksandr Usyk, 35, who twice beat Joshua, but the Ukrainian hero ruled himself out until next year in order to rest and recover having returned home to his loved ones for the first time.
That led to the Gypsy King surprisingly calling out AJ and offering him a 60/40 financial split in his favour.
Contracts were being exchanged by promoters, all while the Fury grew increasingly frustrated.
He originally set a deadline on 5pm on Monday, September 26 but then extended it by a couple of days.

Hearn claimed he returned a final revised contract last week but had not heard from Frank Warren’s son George and has now declared the fight dead but remains open to reviving talks.
However, although he did not reveal who the two-time heavyweight champion’s opponent would be, Hearn has now revealed that AJ plans to be back in action against a top 20 contender before Christmas.
His revelation came while discussing the Fury issues with iFL TV, where he said: “Ultimately, the fight couldn’t get made now. Can it get made? Yes, 100 percent.
“We were told categorically by Mr. Fury that the fight was dead, and there was no way he was taking the fight.

“From AJ’s point of view, I don’t think he wants to engage with him, and we were told that twice. One was the final, final time.
“We’ll look at dates and venues. December 17th is a date that we like.
“The venue option isn’t great for December 17th. Wembley Arena is a great arena, but in terms of size, I think it holds 10,000, 11,000. But AK wants to get out. He’s been training hard.
“December 3rd was never an ideal date, and someone started playing that back to me like me saying that last night. ‘Look, see, it was never an ideal date.’ I’ve said that a million times.
“We wanted December 17th. They [Team Fury] told us, ‘no. The only way you’re going to get the fight is December 3rd,’ and AJ said, ‘I’m willing to fight on that date.’
“It gives him a little more time because he’s still coming off a defeat over 12 rounds against the pound-for-pound #1 [Usyk]. So, he’ll continue, and we’ll keep playing.”
Fighting at an arena is something of a step down for AJ who has become accustomed to fighting in stadiums when fighting on British soil.
Hearn added: “He [Joshua] accepted it was done with last Monday when Tyson Fury came out publicly and abused him and said, ‘The fights off.’ Then when he did it again on Thursday and said, ‘The fights off, get to the back of the queue with all the others, you big dosser.’

“How many times have you got to say it before the other bloke to say, ‘Do you know what? Leave it.’
“But then it’s like, they never came calling back after he said that. No, he didn’t. It’s alright because, as John said, we cost AJ £110m.” More

However, a deal could not be agreed and matchroom chief Eddie Hearn announced that the dream match-up was OFF.
Hearn insists the matter is “still open for discussions” but suggested the fight is “off” as it stands.
Should a fight between the two Brits ever take place, former WBC champ Wilder, who fought Fury in a trilogy, has backed Joshua to come out on top.
Wilder says Joshua needs to change some things “mentally” and he could “redeem himself more than ever” following back-to-back title losses to Oleksandr Usyk.

Wilder is set to make a return to the boxing ring this month against Robert Helenius.
The 42-2-1 hard hitter hasn’t fought in a year since his trilogy loss to Fury in Las Vegas.
He has ambitions of fighting the top three heavyweights before retiring.
Wilder wants to take on Fury in a fourth fight – despite losing twice and drawing once already.
And he would like a slice of AJ as well as WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champ Usyk.
Wilder claimed a fourth fight with Fury is ‘”inevitable” and a showdown with Joshua “will get done when it’s time”.

And attention has now turned towards who the 32-year-old could square off against next, with some calling for him to take on unbeaten super middleweight Benavidez.
The American, 25, has won 23 of his 26 wins via knockout and would be a big challenge to any of the top dogs in the division.
But former world champ De La Hoya says he won’t face off against Canelo.
De La Hoya, who used to promote Canelo until their bitter split in 2020, says Benavidez is “too young and talented” for the Mexican.

Answering a fan’s question on a potential match-up between the two super middleweights, De La Hoya said on Instagram: “Canelo will never fight him (Benavidez), he’s too young and talented.”
Someone who might be young, but not as talented as Benavidez and could face Canelo, is YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
Paul, 25, has vowed to defeat Canelo if the boxing superstar is “dumb enough” to fight him.
He said: “He looks like he’s on the decline. I said it before guys, Jake Paul versus Canelo, I win. I guarantee you that.

“You guys thought I was crazy at first but that’s because you guys can’t beat Canelo.

The Ohio-born Problem Child also backed Benavidez to beat Canelo.
He said following Canelo’s win over Golovkin: “Triple G looked old but also Canelo looked old.
“He started to fade in the later rounds and Triple G took a while to get started.
“If Canelo goes against someone who is younger, faster and boxes him on the outside and can keep that stamina up for rounds 9, 10, 11 and 12 – someone like David Benavidez for example – then it’s going to be a bad night for Canelo.” More
