Fury knocked out Whyte in April at Wembley, which was the last time either stepped foot inside the ring.
The WBC champion, 34, returns on December 3 at Tottenham’s stadium in a trilogy bout with Derek Chisora, 38.
And he has called on the services of Franklin, 29, for sparring, with the US heavyweight preparing for his own fight with Whyte, 34, on November 26.
It has given the undefeated contender the perfect chance to get inside knowledge from Fury.

Franklin told Lord Ping: “Yes I will ask and have asked Fury about how to beat Whyte. It was pretty much general advice – work your game plan.
“As I continue to spar with him in the coming days he will give me more advice on what to do. I will say this, Fury and I are pretty much alike.
“We love to joke around; we love boxing and we have big personalities.
“Sparring with Fury so far has shown me I can hang with him in the ring.

“I know some hater out there will say ‘yeah right’ but I know now I have the skills to compete and win at that level.
“Check back in a week and I will let you know what other secrets Fury gives me about Whyte.”
Joshua, 33, is due to return next year following consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk, 35.
And his promoter Eddie Hearn warned Franklin could earn a shot at AJ if he beats Whyte at Wembley Arena.
Franklin said: “I’m focusing on Dillian Whyte right now. I will address that if that happens.

The YouTuber-turned boxer enjoyed some down time after beating UFC legend Anderson Silva, 47, in the biggest win of his career.
It marked the first time Paul, 25, beat an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.
And it was a night of idol-turned-rival for the American, who idolised Silva since his teenage years.

Paul told MMAFighting: “It’s still pretty crazy to me, beating one of the greatest combat strikers of all time.
“I’m just proud of myself. I’m proud I was able to execute everything we worked on in the gym.
“This is the first fight where everything was slowed down for me, and I was able to really, really handle the moment really well and execute the game plan perfectly.
“I felt really comfortable in there, and here we are. It’s unbelievable, it’s surreal.

“I can’t believe I actually pulled it off, but I’m very proud of myself.”
Paul even faced urges to retire from boxing by his own brother Logan, 27, but said it is just the start.
He added: “Anything else that happens now is just a cherry on top.
“My brother says I should retire and leave the world and just leave people with their jaws dropped. ‘That kid just went 6-0, beat some of MMA’s best, and then just doesn’t do it anymore.’
“I’m not going to do that, but I have exceeded my own expectations. But I think this is just the start.
“I’m really starting to get good, and there’s a lot of people that I want to beat. I want to be a world champion.
“I originally was like, I’ll go 10-0 and then retire. But now I’m 6-0, and it feels like I’m just getting warmed up.
“So who knows what ends up happening.”

Anthony Joshua’s old rival Jarrell Miller granted boxing licence in Las Vegas for first time since drug scandal

JARRELL MILLER has been granted a professional boxing licence in Las Vegas for the first time since his drugs scandal. The shamed heavyweight was initially hit with a two-year ban dating back to a positive test ahead of his proposed fight with Jerry Forrest.

But the Nevada State Athletic Commission have now cleared Miller to fight just over two years on.
They said in a statement to Sky Sports: “Jarrell Miller was granted a 2022 Professional Boxers license which will expire at the end of the year.”
Miller, 34, infamously failed three Voluntary Anti-Doping Association pre-fight drug tests before he was set to fight Anthony Joshua in 2019.
He blamed his failed test before fighting AJ on a tainted supplement and stem cell shots in his elbow.

Joshua, 33, went on to suffer a shock loss, the first of his career, against stand-in Andy Ruiz Jr, 33.
Miller in 2020 earned a contract with Bob Arum’s Top Rank stable but again tested positive for a banned substance.
This time the ex-kickboxer put it down to a SEX PILL and was handed a two-year suspension.
Miller enrolled in VADA testing in December 2020 and has returned clean drug tests since, which saw him able to return this summer.

Tommy Fury’s dad says son will KO Jake Paul with ‘first right hand that he throws’ and slams fight with Anderson Silva

JOHN FURY has backed son Tommy to knock out Jake Paul with the “first right hand that he throws”. And John was left unimpressed with Paul’s decision to fight 47-year-old UFC legend Anderson Silva.

He told Global Titans: “If any of my sons was 50 years old and doing that, I’d say, ‘Listen, have a day off, give your head a wobble.
“‘Alls you’re going to do is make a fool of yourself and entertainment for other people.
“You’re making the other man that’s useless look good.’ Jake Paul can’t fight. He will knock Jake Paul out with one punch.
“And I’ll say it now on camera: Jake Paul will get knocked out with the first right hand that he throws, and I’ll put money on it.”

Tommy, 23, has twice pulled out of fighting Paul, 25, firstly due to a rib injury and then amid a US visa issue.
His celebrity boxing rival has opened the door to rescheduling for a THIRD time, which would have to be in the UK or Middle East.
But Tommy firstly returns on November 13 against 5-2 American Paul Bamba, 33, on Floyd Mayweather’s undercard in Dubai.
John added: “This man he’s fighting here, at least he’s a proper fighter. He trains as a boxer.

“All he’s fighting, he’s had seven pro fights against proper opposition.
“Not some hand-picked geriatric that needs a Zimmer frame to get in the ring.”

Jake Paul reveals prediction for Anderson Silva PPV buys with earnings of $18m but says he’ll only fight in summer now

JAKE PAUL could generate $18million in pay-per-view sales alone for his fight with Anderson Silva – if his estimations are correct. The YouTuber-turned boxer beat Silva last weekend in Arizona, marking the most legitimate win of his 6-0 career.
Jake Paul on his brother’s podcastCredit: @impaulsive
And he believes the bout will have brought in up to 300,000 PPV buys when it is all said and done.
That amount, priced at $60, means $18m (£15.6m) would have been made in box office receipts.
Paul said on his brother’s podcast: “I think it will go around 200-300,00 which is kind of upsetting.”
The American also revealed he will now target fights in the summer, having competed against Halloween, the World Series and the NFL.

He said: “This is the worst time of the year to fight, but guess what? I had to fight.
“All of my fights from now on will be in the summer, there’s no sports. There’s like this perfect gap in July/early August where there’s no sports.
“And by the way, all my others fights were during Covid when no one had anything to do or anything to watch.
“NFL was cancelled, NBA, nothing was on. I had to fight this year, I just had to get it f***** done, I’m sick of waiting around.”

Paul, 25, had not boxed since last December, when he knocked out ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 40, in their short notice rematch.
Woodley only filled in, four months after losing on points, after Tommy Fury, 23, suffered a rib injury.
Fury rescheduled with Paul for August but was again withdrawn, this time amid a US visa issue.
Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, signed in replace but lightening struck twice as the bout was cancelled due to a weight disagreement.
So by the time Paul stepped foot in the ring against Silva, 47, it had been ten months since he had fought.
I think it will go around 200-300,00 which is kind of upsetting.Jake Paul on Anderson Silva PPV buys
And on the week of the bout, it was thrown into doubt after the UFC legend claimed he was knocked out twice in sparring.
Silva admitted his words were lost in translation but the commission still held an emergency meeting, later passing the Brazilian fit to fight.
But Paul claimed the initial news of Silva’s fitness woes caused a negative impact on the PPV sales.
He said: “On the PPV buys thing, the pre-buys were going crazy, up, up, up.
“On Wednesday, when the news came out about Anderson, saying he got knocked out or whatever and the fight was in jeopardy and all this press came out, the pre-buys tanked all the way down.

“The general public sees that and is like, ‘Oh, it’s not happening.’ Tommy pulled out, Hasim pulled out. ‘Oh, Jake f***** Paul can’t get an event together, this is done.’
“It killed, ticket sales, we’re still selling tickets, that day everything went to zero.”

Anthony Joshua set for talks in Abu Dhabi this week with Eddie Hearn to decide when he makes boxing return

ANTHONY JOSHUA is set to meet with Eddie Hearn in Abu Dhabi this week to determine how and when he will return to boxing. The former heavyweight champion is taking time out to recover mentally after consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

He will enjoy some down time in the Middle East with promoter Hearn, who is staging Dmitry Bivol’s fight with Gilberto Ramirez.
But talk will soon turn to business for the pair as Joshua, 33, must decide when and who he returns against.
Hearn told DAZN: “I think it all depends on when AJ fights.
“If he waits until April or May, he may go straight into the Dillian Whyte fight. If he fights in February, he may have a warm-up fight first.

“He’s coming to Abu Dhabi this week; we are sitting down with him to plan the next step and we’re on the verge of mapping that out.”
Before AJ’s rematch los to Usyk, 35, in August, Hearn sent Deontay Wilder’s manager Shelly Finkel an invitation to hold talks.
Only now has Finkel responded, leaving the door open to AJ returning against Wilder, 37, or Dillian Whyte, 34, next year.
Hearn said: “I actually sent Shelly Finkel an email back in August to talk about a deal and he actually replied to me yesterday.

“I invited them out here to Abu Dhabi this week, they can’t come.
“But I see the Deontay Wilder fight probably being the second fight for Anthony Joshua in all honesty, but he’s up for fighting anyone.
“If he waits, he may go straight into that fight, it all depends on when he returns, if he returns early in the year, he’ll fight someone else first and if not he’ll go straight into the Whyte or Wilder fight.”

It improved his record to 6-0 and marked the first time he claimed victory over an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.
And it has also forced Paul to think twice about his previous goal of leaving the sport at 10-0.
He said on The MMA Hour: “My brother says that I should retire and leave the world and leave people with their jaws dropped, but I’m not going to do that.
“I have exceeded my own expectations but this is just the start, man.

“I am really starting to get good and there are a lot of people I want to beat and I want to be a world champion.
“Initially, I was like ‘I’ll go 10-0 and then retire’, but now I’m 6-0 and it’s like I’m just getting warmed up, so who knows what ends up happening?”
The big criticism that remains for Paul, 25, is not having yet fought a seasoned boxer.
Tommy Fury, 23, has twice pulled out in the past while Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, was also withdrawn amid a weight row.

Fury, who was unable to fight amid a rib injury and US visa issue, remains on the cards for next year in the UK or Middle East.
Although Paul warned he will not be forced into fighting anyone.
He said: “I feel like definitely professional boxer is the No1 criticism, but again, anyone that is smart knows that Anderson Silva is a real professional boxer, and just beat a former world champion.
“So I don’t know. But at this point, I’m just going to do whatever the f*** I want, and fight whoever is willing and ready to show up.”
