Tyson Fury became ‘grumpy and agitated’ after retiring from boxing and admits wife Paris was happy to see him return

TYSON FURY admitted he became grumpy and agitated while retired – leaving wife Paris happy to see him return to boxing. Fury announced he was hanging up his gloves after knocking out Dillian Whyte in April at Wembley.

But it lasted just a matter of months with the Gypsy King set to fight again on December 3 in a trilogy bout against Derek Chisora.
Fury, 34, said on Good Morning Britain: “I think as a family it was great stuff for ten weeks. Everyone was really happy.
“I was doing all the school runs, dog walks, the rubbish. All that sort of stuff. All the home jobs that need doing.
“But then it just gets like, ‘Well, when’s dad going to go back to work again? Is he just going to stay here and do nothing forever?’

“I think they were glad to get rid of me, to be fair.
“I got a little bit grumpy and a little bit agitated towards the end of my retirement and I thought, do you know what, I’ve got to get back to work.”
Fury’s return proved an unpopular choice amongst some fans, due to one-sided nature of his 2011 and 2014 wins over Chisora, 38.
But he is using the trilogy bout as a way to prepare for a title unification next year against Oleksandr Usyk, 35, with talks to fight ongoing.
Usyk ruled himself out of the clash this year after returning home to Ukraine for the first time since beating Anthony Joshua, 33.

But it has set the scene for the heavyweight division’s first four-belt undisputed decider in 2023.
Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas told SecondsOut: “Everything is done from our side – everything, absolutely.
“So, there’s only one guy who can say, ‘Yes, we’re going [ahead];’ that’s Fury.”

Anthony Joshua wants trilogy fight against Andy Ruiz Jr… but his promoter Eddie Hearn is dead against it

ANTHONY JOSHUA wants to complete his trilogy with Andy Ruiz Jr – in a fight promoter Eddie Hearn is dead against. AJ was first stunned by the Mexican-American underdog in June 2019 but won the rematch six months later.

But the pair never completed the trilogy decider, leaving the door open for a third fight.
Joshua, 33, is considering his next opponent for his comeback bout in early 2023.
And he held talks with Hearn while in Abu Dhabi, where Dmitry Bivol, 31, beat Mexican Gilberto Ramirez, 31.
Deontay Wilder, 37, and Dillian Whyte, 34, are among the frontrunners, but AJ also likes the sound of Ruiz, 33.

Hearn said: “Definitely, I mean, (Wilder) was one of the names I mentioned to him tonight.
“I’m not just saying it, but I couldn’t say a fight to AJ that he doesn’t go. He said tonight about Andy Ruiz.
“I said have you seen Andy Ruiz over there, he went, ‘Yeah, I’d love to fight him again’.
“I was like, ‘Why? You’re not fighting him again!’.  He was like ‘Why not?’ and I went ‘F*** off’. He’s horrible!'”

Hearn added: “He saw Jalavov and said ‘I’d love to fight him’ and I go, ‘Why? He’s about 4-0!’
“He just wants to fight everybody. It’s just the case of whether he has.
“And it wouldn’t be an easy fight, but an easier fight before he goes into a Deontay Wilder or a Dillian Whyte basically.”

Gervonta Davis warns Campbell Hatton he’ll be ‘eating through a straw’ with dad Ricky if he challenges him

GERVONTA DAVIS warned Campbell Hatton he will be “eating through a straw” with his dad Ricky if he challenges the American.Davis, 27, boasts a staggering 27-0 record in professional boxing – with 25 coming by way of knockout.

The WBA lightweight world champion secured his latest win in May and is yet to confirm his next opponent.
But when a boxing Twitter account suggested he takes on Hatton, Davis was having none of it.
And he made a brutal prediction should the 21-year-old Mancunian dare step into the ring with him.
The Tank tweeted: “He’ll be at dinner w[ith] his pops the next night eating his food through a straw.”
    READ MORE IN BOXING
Hatton’s dad Ricky famously fought Davis’ mentor Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2007, losing his unbeaten record in his 44th bout.
And as the 44-year-old prepares to make his return to boxing, Davis appears to have no interest in fighting his son.
Campbell has won all nine of his dust-ups since going pro but many feel it is too early in his young career to fight fellow lightweight Davis, who promptly deleted his tweet.
One fan replied to Davis: “I think it would be wise not to even think of young Hatton fighting Tank at this stage – the young lad hasn’t been fighting long enough and would get seriously hurt. Just keep bringing Campbell on at a steady pace.”

Another said: “This is a terrible mismatch. Gervonta Davis is a Champions League boxer. Campbell Hatton is a Championship boxer at domestic level.”
And a third added: “I like Campbell. Gets a lot of grief for no good reason, but… he’s not ready for Tank. Years away, if ever.”
And a final user commented: “Sorry, even this early, he’s not even close to his dad. Total mismatch and unfair comparison.” More

Eddie Hall floors YouTube star Nile Wilson after he volunteers to take punch from the former World’s Strongest Man

EDDIE HALL decked Nile Wilson in devastating fashion after the YouTuber volunteered to take a punch from the former World’s Strongest Man. Hall made his boxing debut earlier this year against strongman rival Hafthor Bjornsson.

And Wilson – a retired Olympic gymnast – was on hand to feel the full force of the Brit’s power.
    Hall, who stands 6ft 3in and 25 STONE, completely dwarfed the 5ft 6in, 9st 4lb, ex-athlete.
Wilson attempted a punch of his own but it has no effect whatsoever on the super-heavyweight.
Hall, 34, said: “The thing is, mate, I train – with my training, I’ll hang on a bar and my training partner will smash me in the gut.

“Obviously, as you can see, I’ve also got a massive wall of thick muscle there.”
Later on, Hall lands a single jab to Wilson, who is wearing a body belt – but it still sent him flying in the brilliant 2021 clip.
Wilson, 26, said:  “My brain hit the back of my head.”
Hall then joked: “I think I might have actually knocked him out…”

But Wilson rather unconvincing replied: “I’m alright, yeah.”
Hall and ‘Thor’ Bjornsson squared off in a fight billed the ‘heaviest boxing match in history’.
Game of Thrones star Bjornsson, 33, dominated the contest and ran out a clear winner.
Both giants have dramatically transformed their bodies as they swap weight lifting for tireless punching.
And now Hall is unrecognisable with a major change of look for Movember.

Reigns is expected to be backed up by his special counsel Paul Heyman, The Usos, and enforcer Solo Sikoa.
But Logan, 27, could also come in numbers, alongside his brother Jake, 25, now a 6-0 professional boxer.
Now, though, there is a suggestion Jake could actually get in on the action.
Triple H tweeted a picture between the Paul brothers and wrote: “If you’re going to step up to The Tribal Chief… you better bring your own bloodline. @LoganPaul @JakePaul #WWECrownJewel”

Triple H said earlier during WWE’s Q3 earnings call: “This Saturday we will be in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel where one of the world’s most famous influencers Logan Paul will face off against The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
“Undoubtedly Roman will have the entire Bloodline with him which would make one wonder if Logan will have his very famous brother Jake Paul – fresh off his win against Anderson Silva – in his corner to help even the odds.”
Logan was ringside in Arizona to watch Jake score the biggest win of his boxing career by beating UFC legend Silva, 47.
The unbeaten American later revealed his older sibling urged him to walk away on top.

Jake said on The MMA Hour: “My brother says that I should retire and leave the world and leave people with their jaws dropped, but I’m not going to do that.
“I have exceeded my own expectations but this is just the start, man.
“I am really starting to get good and there are a lot of people I want to beat and I want to be a world champion.
“Initially, I was like ‘I’ll go 10-0 and then retire’, but now I’m 6-0 and it’s like I’m just getting warmed up, so who knows what ends up happening?”
Paul’s trainer BJ Flores revealed they are already discussing opponents for the YouTube star’s next fight.
Flores said: “We got a couple of names that we’re looking at. And that’s all I can say about it.
“Jake wants the biggest names, the biggest challenges and he deserves those types of fights.
“He’s taken care of these guys. He’s paying these guys. Well, he’s given them full training camps.

But things did not go to plan for the 6ft 4ins Aucklander.
Midway through the fourth round of the eight-round heavyweight bout, tubby Hunt went on the attack.
Williams could do nothing to stop the barrage of heavy blows.
And he was left down on his knees as the referee waved it off.

That in turn ripped away his unbeaten professional boxing record after nine straight wins.
Williams started his pro boxing career way back in 2009 with the aim of using the combat sport to improve him as a rugby player.
But since retiring from rugby in early 2021, he has focused fully on the ring.
Williams beat Waikato Falefehi by a unanimous decision last year and then flattened former Aussie Rules ace Barry Hall twice in his first-round KO win in March.

Many expected him to maintain his winning streak against Hunt.
The All Blacks icon worked his way into the fight over the first three rounds, starting to take control and work out how to deal with Hunt’s short height but serious power.
However, it all went wrong in the fourth.
SBW – tipped to fight Jake Paul next – was floored by a big right hand from Hunt but got up in time to beat the count.
Hunt refused to back off, though, and unleashed a relentless series of punches, to which Williams had no response.
And with the ex-UFC veteran refusing to give in, it was all over in a staggering result.

Williams dropped to his knees, gutted and hurt, as Hunt celebrated wildly with his kids – before announcing he was done.
Hunt said: “I’m smiling not because of the win, but I’m smiling because this is the last time I walked into a ring of combat of any sorts.
“My first thought after was ‘s*** I want to do that again!’, but no [I won’t be back in the ring again].”
Williams added: “I would like to say it was an honour to share the ring with Mark Hunt tonight, the Super Samoan.
“I tried my best but it wasn’t good enough.

“Not too much positives to take from that, but to share the ring with a legend like Mark, it was special.
