A date has not been fixed for that but I can reveal he will read another story on the kids’ channel tomorrow — Ravi’s Roar, by Tom Percival.
A TV insider said: “The reaction to AJ featuring on CBeebies Bedtime Stories has been huge. There’s so much excitement.
“The BBC were desperate to book him in for another sitting, which he gladly agreed to. It’s a privilege to be asked twice and he sees it as a great honour.”
AJ follows in the footsteps of Harry Styles, Tom Hardy and Chris Hemsworth.

Ravi’s Roar tells the story of an angry young boy who learns to express and understand his feelings. The Snowy Day is about a lad named Peter who puts on his snowsuit and steps out of his house into a wintry world.
When published in 1962, he was among the first African-American characters to feature in a major children’s book.
Kate Winslet and Richard E Grant are some of the big names to read a story on CBeebies over Christmas. But neither packs a punch as big as AJ.

The voice of Eighties favourite Danger Mouse, who is also a qualified helicopter pilot, has come up with a character called Olly the Heli, which is “in development”.

David revealed in his new book, The Twelve Dels of Christmas, his creation is a young helicopter with a friendly face who “misbehaves a bit”, and “something perhaps on the Thomas the Tank Engine lines” .
David came up with the idea on a visit to an airfield last year, when he was flown in a Gazelle helicopter by astronaut Tim Peake.
He added: “‘Do you want to land it?’ Tim generously asked as we returned to the airfield. I wasn’t going to push my luck. ‘I think I’ll leave that to you, Tim,’ I said.
“So, that was how the idea of Olly the Heli got going – a little production journey still in development at the time of writing. We’ll see where it ends up.”
    Prue’s truth
PRUE LEITH wants “someone I’ve heard of” to replace host Matt Lucas on Bake Off.
On Virgin Radio, the Channel 4 show’s judge said she didn’t have a clue who co-host Noel Fielding was when he joined the series.
Prue added: “I’ve never understood Matt and Noel’s jokes.”

    WONDER MOVIE IS TOP PICK
IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE has been voted the greatest Christmas film of all time by Radio Times.
The 1946 festive classic starring James Stewart topped a readers’ poll.
More than one in five voters – 1,650 in total – named the movie their favourite.
Somewhat criminally, Will Ferrell’s Elf only made No4, with The Muppet Christmas Carol and Home Alone taking the No2 and No3 spots and Love Actually making up the remainder of the top five.
The black and white movie also topped last year’s poll. But Die Hard, which was No4, slipped out of the top five in 2022 and down to No6.
Bruce Willis would pull his hair out, if he had any.

And dad-of-four Gary says his virility is so strong, Laura could already be expecting.
He said: “We’re smitten. We’ve talked kids. I mean, I’m quite potent, so she might already be pregnant! I have four kids already but I want more. I’ve always wanted kids. I love kids.”
The former Hollyoaks actor says a huge incentive for having more children is being able to name one Gary – as the name is dying out.
He added: “I do want a boy, because I want to have another little Gary – carry it on, as I hear the name’s dying out and I think that’d be a real shame.”

    LAURA A SUCKER FOR PIGS
LAURA BINGHAM has left fans of her TV adventurer hubby Ed Stafford gobsmacked – after claiming she breastfed a pig.
The fellow explorer and mum-of-three took care of a piglet when it was rejected by its mum at their farm.
The piglet has now been welcomed into the family home. Writing on Instagram she said: “So I can now tick breast feed a piglet off my bucket list!
“Did you know that indigenous communities do it?! So it’s normal OK?! I force fed some formula down her with a syringe and then when she started waking up a bit more, she didn’t want a bottle so I thought, what the heck?!”
    We’ve all been there, Laura.

STRICTLY runner-up Helen Skelton said pros on the show didn’t want Hamza Yassin, partnered with Jowita Przystal, to take home the trophy.
On her Radio 5 show she said they wanted her partner Gorka to triumph on his third time in the final, adding: “You could tell how gutted we were.” More

Deontay Wilder’s coach wants ex-champ to face Anthony Joshua NEXT and says Brit is ‘in trouble if he signs the contract’

DEONTAY WILDER has been urged by his coach to return against Anthony Joshua, who will be “in trouble if he signs the contract.” Wilder, 37, knocked out Robert Helenius, 38, in round one of his October comeback fight which followed after a year out.

But a month earlier, AJ was beaten for the second time on points by Oleksandr Usyk, 35.
Wilder’s coach Malik Scott expects the consecutive losses to ex-cruiserweight Usyk will have a major affect on Joshua’s confidence.
And he warned stepping into the ring against the Bronze Bomber would end painfully quick.
Scott told Kate Abdo: “This is what I do understand. The lack of mental strength might not be there because he lost to a smaller guy.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
“To go up against a specimen like Deontay Wilder, you may need to build yourself up to take on that kind of fighter. I get it.
“The advantages and the things I see Deontay doing to whatever AJ shows up, mentally tough, not mentally tough; it’s a three-round fight, in my opinion.
“He can’t get out of the way. Deontay is not a big guy. That is a big guy that punches slowly. It comes fast, and you can’t get out of it.
“If you can’t get out of the way of it, you’re in trouble. And I think AJ is in trouble if he signs the contract.”

Joshua, 33, is expected to return in a confidence-building comeback fight in the spring.
But Wilder’s manager Shelly Finkel has kept the door open for talks with AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn following year of failed negotiations.
And Scott is ready to give the green light for his fighter to return straight into a super-fight with Joshua.
He said: “I’m very interested in that. At this level of his career, I would.
“One, the fight was supposed to have been happening, and two, he lost to Oleksandr Usyk two times.
“Three, I also believe Anthony Joshua is a big-time boxer. These guys are not getting old. Let’s get these big fights made.
“I would hate for so much time to go by, and we end up with another Riddick Bowe – Lennox Lewis type of situation.
“These greats didn’t get a chance to fight each other. These types of fights aren’t just good for boxing.
“They’re good for the world, for culture, and for the young kids that want to see this kind of fight.
“So, I just think it should happen, but we can want it all we want. AJ has to want the fight, his team has to want it, and Eddie has to want to do good business.

Jake Paul’s coach teases February 18 return fight as YouTube star starts training camp for next boxing bout

Now the American is back in training camp in his adopted base of Puerto Rico ahead of his next bout.
And coach Flores, a former cruiserweight contender himself, may have given away the mystery date.
In a now-deleted post, he tweeted ring card girl Jessica Yazmine: “Come to the Jake Paul fight Feb 18. Dm me if interested.”
Paul boxed only once last year, due to Tommy Fury, 23, and Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, withdrawing from proposed fights.

It leaves the social media sensation-turned boxer wasting no time in getting back in the ring next year.
Paul already confirmed he will fight again in February and sent offers to three different opponents.
And one of them was celebrity boxing rival Fury with the two still in talks to reschedule their grudge match.
The 8-0 Brit first pulled out last December with a rib injury and then again in August amid a US visa issue, which still persists today.

So Fury’s promoter Frank Warren is trying to negotiate a deal to fight Paul in the UK.
Warren told Queensberry’s YouTube channel: “Everyone’s trying to make this fight happen.
“I mean we had it, it was made a few months ago but he wasn’t allowed to travel, Tommy.
“So we’re trying to do it over here now, trying to get it on. We’re working hard to see if we can get it done.”

Due to the magnitude of the historic undisputed decider, Middle Eastern money men are fronting huge sums to host.
Usyk, 35, won and retained the WBA, IBF and WBO titles after twice beating Anthony Joshua, 33, on points.
And Fury, 34, held up his end of the bargain by beating Derek Chisora, 38, in December for the third time in their series.
Joshua was offered the end of year blockbuster but negotiations collapsed.

And Fury now doubts the Battle of Britain will ever commence as he looks towards a mega-money payday against Usyk.
He told iFL TV: “That’s the bigger fight, in terms of money, 100 per cent, probably double the amount.
“I’ll earn double the amount from Usyk than I will from the other sausage.
“If it was going to happen it would have happened in December, 100 per cent.

“I’m looking to fight Usyk, Joshua’s nemesis, the man who’s got AJ’s kryptonite, who made him cry after the fight like a little girl. ‘I’m 18 stone’, so? I’m 20 stone. I’ll beat him.
“I’ll take that little sausage out, he ain’t got no kryptonite to me, he’s f*** all to me. He’s a little f***er, and I’m going to make him dance.

Daniel Dubois could be out for six months after suffering horror ACL injury during last fight, claims Barry McGuigan

DANIEL DUBOIS could be out for SIX MONTHS after suffering a horror ACL injury during a fight he went on to win, Barry McGuigan said. Dubois was floored THREE times in the opening round of his bout against Kevin Lerena at the start of December.

But two of the knockdowns were self-inflicted, as the British heavyweight took a knee after struggling to stay on his feet.
Dubois, 25, somehow rode out the storm and went on to knock out Lerena, 30, in round three.
It is set to keep him out for half a year, ruling out a mandated title fight against Oleksandr Usyk, 35.
McGuigan, father to Dubois’ trainer Shane, told Pro Boxing Fans: “Well, it’s interesting.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
“Dan has a tear on his ACL, and as soon as we got the news that he had a tear on his ACL, suddenly he was offered the fight – which he can’t have, he can’t box for six months now anyway because of the repair time.”
Dubois was dropped with a shot on the top of his head against Lerena, which caused his knee injury after an awkward landing.
McGuigan said: “He got hit on top of the head the last time, and when he stepped back he tore his ACL and his balance was very badly affected.
“He had to come back from adversity and he showed that he could do that. He kept his cool.

“Shane’s advice in the corner was great, kept him nice and relaxed, used his boxing skills, and walked Kevin Lerena onto that right hand and the finish was spectacular.”
Dubois is the WBA’s “regular” champion, meaning he is mandatory for Usyk’s full title.
But the Ukrainian is set to unify the division against Tyson Fury, 34, next year.
Although McGuigan prefers a fight against Fury or Anthony Joshua, 33, when Dubois makes his return.
He said: “I don’t think it’s fair to make him fight when he’s unwell, so he’ll need a leave of absence as it were, but he’s ready to fight the top guys.
“I’d rather he fought someone like Joshua or Tyson Fury rather than Usyk, cause Usyk is a bag of tricks and he’s a southpaw, but I’ve no fear of him fighting any of these guys.”

Anthony Joshua is going through a ‘CRISIS’ and could be ‘blaming the trainer’ for his losses, says coach Shane McGuigan

SHANE McGUIGAN said Anthony Joshua is going through a “CRISIS” and could be “blaming the trainer” for his losses. AJ is on the hunt for a new coaching team Stateside following consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

Before the first, in September 2021, Joshua left long-time cornerman Rob McCracken for esteemed American Robert Garcia.
But following a repeat result in the rematch, AJ is taking some time off ahead of a return next year.
And the 33-year-old will do so with another new team having split with Garcia.
Top trainer McGuigan told Boxing King Media: “The fact is he’s been around a few different trainers and that automatically makes you think he is blaming the trainer for not performing.

“The bottom line is it is with you. You are responsible for your performance.
“Robert Garcia has an unblemished record, he’s incredible, he has produced many world champions and is a great coach.
“But if you’re not listening to him, you’re not taking on board what he is saying then it is hard to implement his tactics.
“I think Joshua is going through a crisis, he needs to stop questioning himself. He’s got to knuckle down and get on with it.

“And whomever he goes with he has to concentrate on fighting aggressively whether he fights Usyk again or fights Tyson Fury.
“He has got to be better at coming forward and he’s got to be more confident to stand in punching range and move his head and not always bounce back out again but that takes time to learn.
“But really, it’s a waste of time talking about it. He needs to settle down with someone and get on with it.”
