      Floyd Mayweather, 45, admits he has not trained hard for exhibition bout with YouTuber Deji and is ‘just having fun’

      FLOYD MAYWEATHER has admitted he has not trained hard for his exhibition with YouTuber Deji and is instead “just having fun”. The boxing legend returns on Sunday night at the Coca-Cola Arena over eight spectacle rounds.

      It is already his third exhibition this year but Mayweather insisted he has barely broken a sweat.
      He said: “I don’t ever really train that hard when it’s for an exhibition. But I look forward to going out there and just having fun.”
      Mayweather, 45, retired in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 34, but has had four exhibition bouts since.
      He most recently knocked out Japanese MMA contender Miruku Asakura, 30, on a RIZIN bill.

      That came after facing kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 24, YouTuber Logan Paul, 27, and ex-sparring partner Don Moore.
      Mayweather and Moore were set to extraordinarily box on top of a hotel HELIPAD 700ft above sea level in May.
      But the death of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan at 73 saw it scrapped and head to Abu Dhabi a week later.
      Mayweather dominated the bout over the distance and returns to his happy hunting ground in the Middle East.

      He said: “I’m happy to be back in the UAE.
      “It’s always great to come here – so many beautiful people, peaceful country, and I am ready to go out there and entertain which is what I do best.”
      Mayweather added:  “I am delighted to bring this incredible boxing experience to Dubai. I’m happy to be back.
      “I couldn’t do it without my team. We’re a driving force as long as we continue to work together.
      “On Sunday, the Mayweather entertainment team will give the people what they want to see.”

      Fury, 34, has been preparing for his clash with Del Boy at his home gym in Morecambe.
      But fight preparations haven’t stopped the WBC heavyweight champion from taking the bins out.
      Fury was spotted this week taking a green bin bag full to the brim with rubbish outside the gym.
      The former unified heavyweight champ is no stranger to doing the bin run – which he did days after his brutal knockout of Dillian Whyte in April.

      Fury gave a shoutout to his local bin men keeping the streets of Morecambe clean during the pandemic.
      He said: “I’d just like to give a big shout-out to the unsung heroes – the local bin men of everybody’s area.
      “My local bin men today in Lancashire, fantastic job you do, thank you very much for what you did.
      “All the best, god bless.”

      Hatton, 44, left no stone unturned for the eight-rounder with his pal – putting in multiple gruelling training sessions a day.
      And his hard work at the gym has left him with rock-solid six-pack abs, which boxing fans marvelled at after seeing him step on the scales.
      One tweeted: “Saw this guy in the flesh in February and he was literally 3x times the size he is now, fair play!”

      “I’ve got a new wardrobe now, I’m a 30in waist at the minute. I’ve got a few 32s. As soon as the 32s get a bit too tight, I’m not going for the 34s again.
      “If I can’t get the button fastened, I don’t f***ing go out!”
      The dance with the 48-year-old Mexican warhorse was originally scheduled for July 2 but suffered a postponement.
      But he handled the heartbreak and extended training camp with typical humour and honesty.
      He said: “Physically I’d look in the mirror at 15 stone and think, ‘Rick, you don’t look too bad’ and it never bothered me while I was fighting, because in six or seven weeks I’d be back training and it would come off anyway.
      “But I’m 44 now, I can’t keep dragging some poor f***er out of retirement every time I want to get some weight off!
      “I’ve enjoyed the compliments, people coming up to me with mental health and saying, ‘f***ing hell, Rick, I’ve been struggling with my weight and seeing you shift all that weight has made me want to’.

      “Then other people have said, ‘Jesus, Ricky, seeing you a few years ago with all that weight, suicidal, wanting to kill yourself, heavily drinking, heavily into drugs, the way you were, to see you now, it’s been so inspiring’.
      “So even when the original fight was postponed, I knew it had not been for nothing.
      “It was the first training camp I had in ten years and now I’ve had two in ten years.
      “I’ve stayed on top of things, I do ten rounds of sparring, I wouldn’t have been able to in the last time. Now I can.
      “Nobody can say this exhibition is a bad thing.
      “When fighters make comebacks, you never want to see your heroes being bashed up or hurt. In an exhibition, it’s controlled.
      “You can see your heroes for one last time, showcase their skills, with the knowledge they won’t get hurt.
      “With me, people who have struggled with their weight and depression, the shape of me now, the way I’m talking, how I’ve changed. I’m not ready for my pipe and slippers yet.

      Viddal Riley’s coach warns him not to rule out ‘easy money’ Jake Paul fight as opportunity is ‘too good to turn down’

      VIDDAL RILEY has been warned not to rule out an “easy money” fight with Jake Paul if the chance is “too good to turn down”. Riley has done his best to separate himself from the world of crossover influencer boxing, despite coaching several YouTubers.

      And he even refused to engage after Paul, 25, called him out in what would be a mega-money opportunity.
      But Riley’s strength and conditioning coach Leon Wills is not yet ready to completely rule out the cash-grab bout.
      Wills told SunSport: “It could be a position where, let’s say Viddal is WBC champion, or he’s mandatory and Jake is active and taking the same routes, their paths could cross.
      “It might not even be up to Viddal, it’s too good to turn down. Easy money if the opportunity is there.

      “If it makes money it makes sense. If it makes sense and there’s money behind it, you have to take the opportunity.”
      Riley, 25, helped corner social media sensation KSI, 29 to a draw and win over Paul’s brother Logan, 27, from 2018-2019.
      It set the scene for a grudge match of epic proportion with bragging rights on the line and scores to settle.
      But in recent years, Paul has grown frustrated with KSI in delaying their mega-fight, so much so that he turned his attention to Riley.

      And in a world where KSI’s brother Deji, 25, who is 1-3 as a boxer, is facing boxing royalty in Floyd Mayweather, 45, now anything is possible.
      Wills added: “If Jake continues on his path and he decides he wants to fight pro fighters then they could possibly meet.

      “So if Jake keeps doing what he’s doing and Viddal keeps doing what he’s doing then their paths could cross.”

      Joshua grinned from ear to ear as he flexed for the camera.

      The YouTuber turned boxer also posted a snap of his full laser quest crew, including AJ and British cruiserweight champ Lawrence Okolie.

      Joshua, 33, is set to be trained by Roy Jones Jr in 2023 as he plots a route back to world title contention.
      Speaking to talkSPORT, Jones Jr confirmed he will spend some time training the dethroned champ.
      The 53-year-old said “He’s not [looking to tie himself down], he’s not.
      “He’s come to talk to me too, so I’ll be one of those guys talking to him and we’ll see what happens.
      “We spoke the other day, so we’re gonna talk. He’s gonna come to the gym and see what we do.
      “If it works out well, that’ll be it. If it don’t, he can go on and find a better trainer.”
      Paul, meanwhile, has been slammed by Mayweather.
      The 50-0 boxing legend said: “Once he get in there with a real fighter that can really fight, it’s gonna be over.

      ANTHONY TAYLOR is ready to “run through” a series of YouTube boxing rivals in order to earn a fight against the likes of KSI. Taylor, a veteran MMA contender, shot to recognition as Jake Paul’s former sparring partner.

      It got him the chance to fight on the American’s undercard twice, in losses to Tommy Fury, 23, and Chris Avila, 29.
      But it also paved the way for Taylor, 33, to become a staple within the new age of influencer boxing.
      He recently beat Rak-Su singer Ashley Fongho, 30, in September and floored the musician with the first punch he threw.
      Now Taylor has dared the likes of KSI, 29, to share the ring with him and is happy to knock over his friends in the process.

      He told SunSport: “They’re not going to allow KSI, Deji or AnEsonGib to fight me. I’m too much of a risk for those fighters.
      “They are scared of me, they won’t mention my name, these guys don’t mention my names, their coaches don’t want this business with me and my team-mates.
      “These guys, they fear me, they know what I’m capable of and the destruction I can do.
      “KSI knows I’d knock him out, Deji knows I’d knock him out. AnEsonGib knows I’d knock him out.

      Taylor returns on Sunday night in Dubai against 2018 Love Island winner Jack Fincham, 31, making his professional debut.
      The crossover boxer has stolen the show throughout fight week and even campaigned to face Floyd Mayweather, 45.
      Mayweather headlines over the weekend against KSI’s brother Deji, 25, but Taylor wants to be the boxing legend’s next dance partner.

      The Khazak is both an awkward southpaw and a KO artist who has won 8 of his 12 fights via knockout and nobody in the big-money division is calling out the 29-year-old celebrated amateur.
      But the 10-1 underdog – who was funding his own boxing career with shelf-stacking shifts at Sainsburys just three years ago – is backing himself, in the gambling goldmine, as always.
