Rolly Lambert will now fight Tommy Fury
Instead, he remains on the card and SunSport understands 15-1-1 Lambert, a career cruiserweight, has been lined up to fill in.
Lambert, 33, most recently won in October, beating Thai veteran Chaloemporn Sawatsuk, 34, on points.
Bamba, 33 was left fuming a day before the fight after he scaled within the 175lb light-heavyweight limit,ย while Fury came in at 181.4lb.
And the American ruled himself outย after no compromise was met between the opposing camps.

“The weight in my contract, I made yesterday so as far as I’m concerned, I’ve done my job. I made weight.

Tommy Fury faced being off Mayweather card as Paul Bamba fight is axed in โ€˜final minutesโ€™ despite dad John leading talks

TOMMY FURY faced being off the Floyd Mayweather card after his fight with Paul Bamba was axed in “the final minutes”. Dad John was leading talks to come to a compromise after a weight disagreement between the two camps.
John Fury pictured with his son TommyCredit: Rex
Bamba was left fuming after he scaled within the 175lb light-heavyweight limit,ย while Fury came in at 181.4lb.
The American, 33,ย who conceded half a STONE, wanted to be paid compensation.
But despite two days of negotiations, no settlement was reached despite the last-ditch efforts of Fury’s dad John.
Speaking to SunSport in Dubai, Bamba said: “It came down the the final minutes, John Fury reached out to me personally.

“He tried to make it work, he made it known we both needed to try and make it work or both parties were out of being paid.
“I told him to call me back with an offer, hung up the phone, he called me back about an hour later, gave me an offer which wasn’t necessarily agreeable, I was reaching out to my team and while I was I actually bumped into John Fury.
“We started talking, man to man in person, and John is very polite, he’s trying to make it work.
“He understands his side but he sees why I’m being the way I’m being and sticking to my guns.

“He was trying to make it work and it actually looked like it was about to work until we were interrupted – can’t comment on who we were interrupted by – but my chest was pushed physically.
“I want to be respected as a man and that hasn’t happened so I said, ‘You know what? I’m done’.
“John was literally handling it and the fight probably would have gone on because what John was offering me was pretty good, we were finally coming to terms.
“If he had increased it by a little bit more I would have accepted right away. But ultimately there will be no fight tonight.”
Fury’s team actually negotiated a higher weight in the fight agreement, believed to be 178 ยฝlb, meaning he was still 3lb overweight.
But this was not made aware to Bamba, who agreed to a light-heavyweight bout and not at cruiserweight.
And despite attempts to financially compensate, no deal was struck andย Furyย may also find himself off the card.
I’m hoping in the future if Tommy tells me what weight I need to be ahead of time, I have no problem coming across the pond and giving it to him.Paul Bamba
Bamba said: “They said, from my understanding unless they’re lying, I have no idea, both of us are pulled off the card.
“Last I heard Tommy might have a last-minute replacement, someone who lives here in Dubai, but they aren’t really interested.
“We tried to do everything we could do and it didn’t work out.”
Bamba insisted standing his ground meant far more than receiving a fight and fee from Fury.
He said: “I’m a man of integrity, you can’t buy anything that I’ve been through.
“If that was the case, I wouldn’t even be here I would have sold my soul a long time ago.
“Everything was meant to be on the up and up and professional, that’s not how we were treated.
Paul Bamba does not want to fight, he never did. I’m here in Dubai, I’ve got a new opponent and I’m ready to go.Tommy Fury
“Unfortunately, we won’t be fighting, or at least I won’t be.
“I’m really sorry for the fans miss out on a really good show.
“If you pay attention to boxing matches and you match people up accordingly, it was bound to be fireworks.
“Like I said, I’m hoping in the future if Tommy tells me what weight I need to be ahead of time, I have no problem coming across the pond and giving it to him.”
Fury has since confirmed he WILL still fight – without a named new opponent – and denied failing to make weight.

He said online: “I just want to come on here and clear a few things up. One contract was given to Paul Bamba, and one contract was given to myself.
“The weight in my contract, I made yesterday so as far as I’m concerned, I’ve done my job. I made weight.
“Paul Bamba does not want to fight, he never did. I’m here in Dubai, I’ve got a new opponent and I’m ready to go.”

Watch boxer Montana Love get disqualified after throwing rival Steve Spark OUT OF THE RING to leave Eddie Hearn fuming

Love, 27, had been knocked down earlier in the super lightweight fight in Cleveland before a clash of heads saw him suffer a cut above his eye.
But he got a little carried away as he tried to get on the front foot.
With the bout in the sixth round, Love pushed Spark from the centre of the ring all the way back on to the ropes.
From there he sent Spark, 26, careering over the top rope and out of the ring entirely, right in front of promoter Eddie Hearn.

Luckily the Aussie fighter was unhurt and quickly clambered back into the ring.
He was then handed the win after Love was disqualified.
Speaking after the fight Hearn, who promotes Love, blasted the disqualification as a “terrible decision”.
The Matchroom chief couldn’t have had a better view after Spark practically fell in his lap.

But he told DAZN: “I saw it right in front of me. It was a terrible decision by the referee.”
Hearn added: “Everyone looked lost in the decision-making process. Montana was rough but he was right, he didnโ€™t pick him up.
“Credit to Stevie Spark. When he fell out of the ring, he got right back up and made his way back to the ring. Montana Love didnโ€™t look for a way out, it was turning into a real fight. Montana got off the floor.
“The referees got to stop making these quick decisions. The referee has a tough job but that was a poor decision. Maybe weโ€™ll do it again.”
Love meanwhile protested his innocence after being disqualified.
He insisted he “never intentionally” sent Spark somersaulting out of the ring.
The American told DAZN: “Iโ€™m holding the rope. He elbowed me, was doing dirty tactics all night, roughhousing.

“Iโ€™m not one of those guys thatโ€™s going for that. So, I pushed him off me. I never intentionally [pushed Spark out of the ring]. Iโ€™m not picking him up.
“Heโ€™s wrapping his arm around me, grabbing me, and I just pushed him. It ainโ€™t no I picked him up and pushed out the ring. It was just a terrible call.” More

It leaves Anthony Taylor, who lost to Fury in August 2021, in line to receive an unlikely and last-minute rematch.
But his opponent, 2018 Love Island winner Jack Fincham, would unfortunately be out of the card, headlined by Floyd Mayweather, as a result.
Fury’s team actually negotiated a higher weight in his contract, believed to be 178 ยฝlb, meaning he was still 3lb overweight.
But this was not made aware to Bamba, who agreed to a light-heavyweight bout.
And despite being offered a financial compensation, it appears no deal was struck.
SunSport understands Jake Paul’s manager Nakisa Bidarian, would thrash out terms for Taylor, 33, to step in and rematch Fury, 23, if needed.
