Pacquiao is back in the ring on Sunday when he fights Youtuber DK Yoo in what should be a straightforward affair.
It’ll be the first time the 41-year-old has fought since losing to Yordenis Ugas in August 2021.
Ahead of the fight, the Filipino has been talking about the prospect of a rematch with Mayweather, with fans desperate for the iconic duo to do it all over again.
But Pacquiao believes the American is scared of him and reckons he would win “easily”.

He told FightHype: “I don’t think he will do a rematch with me, Floyd. I don’t think so.
“What I thought is [that] he’s scared to death to fight again. And that’s my analysis and thought pretty much with him.
“Well, I can beat him easily. I don’t want an exhibition fight with him. I want a real fight – a 12-round fight with him.
“Currently we have an obligation to fight DK Yoo in an exhibition match, I am focused also for that but I hope the fans will watch it to see my style. But we will see after that.”

I’m Muhammad Ali’s only son – I was a crack addict and regularly paid for sex after boxer dad abandoned me aged five

MUHAMMAD Ali’s only son has revealed he was a crack addict and regularly paid for sex after his famous dad abandoned him when he was five. The boxer’s son, Muhammad Ali Jr has opened up about growing up in poverty in a Hollywood biopic on his life which is due to be released next month.

The only son of Muhammad Ali has opened up about his crack addiction and using prostitutes, as the story of being abandoned by his boxing legend father has been turned into a Hollywood film.
Just two years ago, Muhammad Ali Jr was taking drugs and regularly paying for sex but has dramatically reversed his fortunes.
For most of adulthood and despite his dad’s vast wealth, Jr lived in abject poverty and reverted to “crack and hookers” to escape his bleak situation.
The producer of The Irishman, filmmaker Chad Verdi, has told Ali Jr’s story in the documentary “My Father Muhammad Ali”, which is out in cinemas from January 13.

For the first time in years, Ali Jr is off the crack and is now studying for his General Education Development [GED].
He’s also set up the organization, The Muhammad Ali Legacy Continues, to help kids who are struggling with bullying and promote anti-racism.
The biopic focuses on how Ali Jr was effectively abandoned by his dad, nicknamed “The Greatest”, but was certainly not the best father, leaving Ali to be raised by his maternal grandparents from the age of five.
In an exclusive joint interview, Ali Jr, Verdi and co-director Tommy DeNucci open up on the movie, which exposes the struggle Ali’s only biological son went through due to childhood neglect.
    Most read in Boxing
Verdi says: “Where he is today, from where he was, is night and day. The guy is studying for his GED, he’s off drugs.
“Jr was a junkie, he was addicted to crack, that that’s what he was, but the guy today, all he wants to do is help his family and really live his father’s legacy because it’s in his DNA.
“The documentary is telling the story. We’re able to have Jr open up about his addiction to drugs. He got off crack, got off the hookers, let’s just call it the way it is.
“He wants to be a better person every single day. For the first time it’s working. Because when we first met, it wasn’t really there.
“It took a little time. A year and a half ago, to where he is today, is incredible.
Ali Jr adds: “I was a crack addict two and a half years ago. [I wanted to get better] because I want to better my life.”
Ali Jr has largely been shunned by his natural family and his father’s fourth wife Lonnie, who has control over his $50 million estate.
The movie claims that Ali Jr only gets around $1,000-a-month from the estate and is currently making ends meet as a painter with his best friend, retired New York cop Richard Blum, who also acts as his manager.
Verdi says Ali’s always had to appease stepmom Lonnie in interviews, but that’s all changed now, adding: “”He got very little, but he didn’t want to get nothing.
“So it was best for him to play ball and just go with the flow. What’s different is his life has changed.
“He’s happier. Obviously, he’s not on drugs, he’s trying to better himself. He’s surrounded by a lot of people, including the entire Verdi team that love him.
“We wrote Lonnie and her team a letter, they just chose, politely, not to respond. They had no comment.
“He was isolated from the family. He is still isolated. And that’s fine. I think he’s overcome that now. And that’s why he’s doing better.”
Ali Jr adds: “I’ve never been scared [of Lonnie]. I had to hold my tongue for a reason.”
The 50-year-old opens up on film to Harvard-trained celeb psychologist Dr Monica O’Neal about being bullied incessantly as a child and still calls his high school teacher, Dr Larry Baran, “daddy”, who appears in the movie to be a better role model than his father ever was.
DeNucci adds: “We all know so much about Muhammad Ali, the athlete, Muhammad Ali, the celebrity, and Muhammad Ali, the activist, but there’s really not a lot out there about Muhammad Ali, the father, and what type of family person he was, and what life would be like inside the walls of the Muhammad Ali home.
“I want to tell the story of what it’s like to be kind of a person that probably required a little more help from Day One, that never got that help from the people who are literally put on the planet to help you, the Number One people, your mom and dad. He just didn’t get that support.”
Verdi is even more forthright but blames the onset of Ali’s Parkinson’s Disease, which was diagnosed at the age of 42 in 1984.
Although the film argues whether ignoring his son from an early age was the work of the disease or willful neglect.
He says: “This is the son of one of the biggest names in the world. He shouldn’t f******have to be working ever.
“He should have never been living in poverty. He was basically isolated and frowned upon from the family for whatever reason. That’s just the truth.”
Ali Jr likes to pin his suffering on “carrying the name”, as his only natural son – Ali also had seven daughters and adopted another boy Asaad.
Verdi defends this, saying: “His father was sick, his father had no control, he didn’t know how to protect his son, or anyone at that time.
“The family took over everything. And, unfortunately, in my opinion, he was frowned upon because he carried the name.”
His father had numerous affairs, walked away from three marriages, and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in this case, as his son ran away from estranged wife Shaakira, whom he left five years ago in Chicago and moved to Miami.
Like father, like son, the doc explores how Ali Jr hasn’t been there for their two younger children, Ameera and Shakera, although he has reconnected with eldest daughter Saliah.
He is filmed walking upto Shaakira’s family home, but instead of a happy reunion, he returns to the car with divorce papers, and says to camera: “I got served the papers, dissolution of marriage, never liked her anyway.”
The doc questions whether Ali Jr will ever live upto his father’s legacy, as he and Blum struggle to set up their foundation, which isn’t yet a registered non-profit.
Their “five to ten year plan to accomplish everything we want to do”, according to Blum, is shown to be ultimately flawed and futile.
But Ali Jr won’t give in and reckons he’s in the “biggest fight of all” to carry on the so-called legacy and quotes from his famous dad.

He says: “I’ve found the shoes that I need to walk in. But I want to do like my father said.
“He said he doesn’t start countin’ until it starts hurtin’. That’s when it really counts. I didn’t start countin’. But when they start hurtin’, that’s what I’m gonna start.”

Boxing great Carl Froch claimed the Earth is flat and slammed ‘fake’ Nasa

BOXING legend Carl Froch has bizarrely claimed the Earth is flat – and accused space agency Nasa of being “fake”.The former super-middleweight champion, 45, is adamant the entire planet has been sold a lie.
Boxing legend Carl Froch is certain the Earth is flatCredit: PA:Press Association
And he is certain the planet we all call home is flat – joining the likes of cricket great Freddie Flintoff in believing the conspiracy.
Froch told the Pound for Pound with Jake Wood and Spencer Oliver podcast: “The Earth is flat, 100 per cent.
“There’s no proof of the Earth’s curvature and this fake space agency Nasa use CGI images and every one is different.
“I’m looking at them thinking, ‘Hang on a minute, they’re like cartoons’.
“When someone like Richard Branson goes up there and starts doing chartered flights… and you can look back on Earth and see the Earth’s curvature, I’ll believe the Earth is a globe.”
Froch, who retired in 2015 after winning 33 of his 35 fights, also reckons the moon landing in July 1969 by Neil Armstrong was faked.
Some of his fans weren’t quite so sure, though.
In response to Froch’s claims, one said: “This is what happens when people hit you in the head for a living.”

Another posted: “Please educate @Carl_Froch he’s took too many blows to the dome.”
The Cobra joins a list of well-known sporting stars who also believe the Earth is flat.
Ashes legend and England cricket hero Flintoff insists there is “evidence to suggest the world isn’t round”.
He told The Sun: “If you’re in a helicopter and you hover why does the Earth not come to you if it’s round?
“Why, if we’re hurtling through space, why would water stay still? Why is it not wobbling?
“Also if you fire a laser about 16 miles, if the world was curved, you shouldn’t be able to see it but you can.
“The middle is the North Pole, around the outside is the South Pole which is like a big wall of ice.
“This is why all governments now have bases on the South Pole.”

Several NBA stars including Shaquille O’Neal have also come out in support of the theory.
LA Lakers icon O’Neal came to the conclusion after noticing the road was flat when he drove from Florida to California, and said: “It’s true. The Earth is flat.”
Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving issued an apology after he claimed: “This is not even a conspiracy theory. It’s right in front of our faces. They lie to us.
“If you really think about it from the landscape of the way we travel, the way we move, and the fact that – can you really think of us rotating around the sun and all planets aligned, rotating in specific dates, being perpendicular with what’s going on with these planets?
“The truth is right there. You’ve just got to go searching for it.”
And a Spanish football club even changed their name to Flat Earth FC to publicise their owner’s theory.

I’ll retire Tommy Fury on the spot if he can’t KO Jake Paul, warns dad John who also backs himself against YouTuber

But the former Love Island star has been warned that if he can’t KNOCKOUT Paul then he will be retired straight after the fight.
Speaking to FairBettingSites, John said: “Let me tell you this much: If Tommy can’t knock Jake Paul out I’ll retire Tommy from the sport of boxing straight afterwards, I’ll have no more to do with it.
“I’ll say ‘look, you’re going nowhere’ because I don’t rate Jake Paul at all. I think Jake Paul would struggle with me.
“If I had a seven-week camp now and got the proper sparring and got my weight down, Jake Paul would struggle with me.

“If Tommy could not knock him into next week – and I mean do a number on him – he has no right looking at conventional boxing at all because Jake Paul would not win a proper amateur fight.
“He would not beat a decent-class amateur. Boxing a man 50 years old that needs a zimmer frame to get in the ring, come on.
“Tommy’s a livewire, the fight will be made at 13 stone 3-4 lbs, Tommy’s ideal weight and Tommy can punch as hard as a heavyweight.”

Negotiations between the two parties are ongoing, though Paul has agreed to fight in the UK – a clause which saw the last fight cancelled due to Fury being unable to enter the USA.
Fury Sr added: “But can we actually get Jake Paul in the ring? We’re going to find out very shortly because we’ve said ‘ok, yeah we’ll take it, whatever you’re offering, let’s get it on’.
“He needs to be sorted out, but I don’t think he will because I saw him that day over in Dubai and saw fear in his eyes.
“He’s not a fighting man. I got within feet of him, looked into his eyes – he ain’t going to want no part of Tommy.”
Brother and son Tyson Fury won in his comeback bout against Derek Chisora.
The Gypsy King won via a 10th-round TKO and faced off with Oleksandr Usyk after the fight.
A fight between Usyk and Fury would see a historic unification bout come to fruition due to the pair of them having all the heavyweight boxing belts in the modern era.
And the pair are on the verge of striking a deal according to the Ukrainian’s manager. More

A bout with ex-Bolton and Hearts defender Blazej Augustyn is even being lined up.

    Rio Ferdinand
England legend Ferdinand’s football career brought several glittering moments but his boxing days were over before they really started.
Sponsored by a betting company to step into the ring in September 2017, the former defender was jarringly denied a licence.
The British Boxing Board of Control deemed it ‘not beneficial’ to allow Ferdinand his second career.

Arguably the world’s top female boxer, Taylor is also a former Republic of Ireland international footballer.
The ex-winger starred for Peamount United in the late 2000s yet missed her side’s FAI Women’s Cup final in 2009 to be crowned Europe’s best amateur fighter.
Taylor won 11 caps for her country, scoring twice, before choosing to focus on boxing a decade ago.
Former team-mate Marie Curtin would later tell the Mirror that Taylor ‘would have excelled to the highest level’ had she stayed in football.
Curtin added: “There were no barriers. Her mindset is so strong and you need leaders like that on your team to win.”
And Taylor fondly remembers her playing days, even recalling a crunching tackle that was posted on Twitter a couple of years ago.

    Wayne Bridge
Hardly the most aggressive left-back of his day, ex-Chelsea man Bridge showed the fire in his belly with a stint in boxing two years ago.
A Sport Relief clash with Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews saw the defender take on a man nine years his junior.
The three-round affair started tightly before Bridge unleashed a barrage of blows.
Matthews hit the deck twice and yet made it to the final bell, at which Bridge won on points.
The former England international, who has also appeared on I’m A Celeb, retired from football aged 33 in 2014.

A star forward for the likes of Norwich, Peterborough and Coventry on the pitch, McKenzie would later forge a decent super-middleweight career.
Having hung up his boots in January 2013, he pulled on the gloves just six months later.
A debut win over John Mason at Bethnal Green’s historic York Hall set him on a string of nine fights without defeat.
An English title fight with Jahmaine Smyle saw McKenzie suffer a first defeat before he rounded off an 11-fight career with a nine-round loss to Cello Renda.
The ex-striker also joined forces with former England cricketer Steve Harmison for a talkSPORT podcast on sports stars’ post-retirement plans.
