Anthony Joshua’s comeback opponent makes chilling vow and promises to add fallen Brit to his ‘body count’

JERMAINE FRANKLIN has vowed to add Anthony Joshua to his “body count” in a chilling warning ahead of their fight. The heavyweight pair have agreed to an April 1 bout at the O2 Arena with negotiations now nearing the final stages.

Joshua, 33, is coming off consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk, 36, and returns with his career and reputation on the line.
Meanwhile Franklin, 29, comes back to London as an outsider again having lost a disputed decision to Dillian Whyte, 34, in November.
But the fearless American is out for redemption in the capital with AJ now his new target.
Franklin posted on Instagram: “I’m ready for all the smoke. Big news coming up this week.

“I don’t play box! Time for the 989 assassin to take aim on body count #22 April 1.
Franklin looks to have beaten southpaw duo Otto Wallin, 32, and Demsey McKean, 32, in the race to welcome Joshua back to the ring.
And following his performance against Whyte, in which many felt he should have won, Eddie Hearn defended AJ’s decision to face him.
Promoter Hearn told Boxing Social: “I think Jermaine Franklin is a great fight.

“Nothing’s signed or agreed yet, but Franklin’s just come off the back of a very close fight with Dillian Whyte, and some people felt like he won that fight.
“I’ve seen the majority of responses from sane people on social media, who are saying, ‘that’s a good fight to come back to.’
“I just don’t understand some people’s criticism of AJ. He’s just fought Oleksandr Usyk twice.
“If he fights Demsey Mckean, Otto Wallin or Jermaine Franklin – I don’t understand what more people want.
“He’s coming back, working with a new trainer and getting a foothold in the heavyweight division.
“Jermaine Franklin is a dangerous fight, he’s full of confidence and coming off a great performance against Dillain Whyte.”

Tyson Fury against Oleksandr Usyk winner will be ‘whoever cheats most’, slams Deontay Wilder in bitter swipe

DEONTAY WILDER said Tyson Fury’s fight with Oleksandr Usyk will be won by whoever is going to “cheat the hardest.” The unbeaten champions are in talks for the heavyweight division’s first four-belt undisputed title decider.

Usyk, 36, puts up the WBA, IBF and WBO belts he won and then retained in his pair of points wins over Anthony Joshua, 33.
Fury, 34, meanwhile took the WBC belt from Wilder, 37, in their 2020 rematch and defended it a year later in a trilogy bout.
But Wilder infamously levelled several baseless cheating accusations at Fury and appears to still stand by them.
Asked about the Usyk fight, he told ESNews: “I don’t know. That’s a 50/50 fight. Depends on who’s gonna cheat the hardest.

“That’s what it is, it depends on who’s gonna cheat the hardest.”
Wilder also accused Fury of cheating in their 2018 draw, claiming the Brit had “something hard” in his glove.
When he was stopped in seven rounds two years later, the American also claimed his water was “spiked”.
Perhaps the most memorable excuse of them all was blaming the 45lb ring walk attire he wore to the ring for slowing down his legs.

Even after Fury’s epic 11th round KO against Wilder in their trilogy, the former champion was still full of bad blood.
He said: “You got analysts that say, ‘If he did have something in his glove why did you not go to the authorities?’
“I wish I was in front of them and I would grab their collar and put them close to my face so we can be eye to eye, face to face, so much that my breath touch their face.
“I would tell them, ‘Why the f*** would I go to the authorities when I have an opportunity to release my own energy and put my hands up on on him in the possibility of trying to kill him and get paid millions of dollars doing it?’ Why would I go to the authorities?”

‘Don’t want fight me’ – Deontay Wilder accuses Anthony Joshua of ducking him as Brit gears up for crucial comeback bout

DEONTAY WILDER is adamant a showdown with Anthony Joshua will NEVER come to fruition. The pair, 37 and 33 respectively, were on course to throw down in 2018 when they held all the heavyweight marbles.

The fight, however, fell through when Wilder opted to face Tyson Fury – who he fought to a controversial draw.
But the former WBC heavyweight king insists Joshua was to blame for their mouthwatering showdown going by the wayside.
The Bronze Bomber told ESNEWS: “Joshua don’t want to fight me; it’s plain and clear.
“I don’t know why people keep asking about that.

“Everybody should’ve known when the $50 million was offered, and he didn’t take it.
“Even moving forwards, Joshua don’t want to fight.
“They should have known then there was something fishy about it.
“There’s certain information that I know and certain information that the public receives from others.”

Wilder admitted he swerved a historic undisputed showdown with AJ in a fiery Twitter spat with The Gyspy King just over two years ago.
And his admission was music to the ears of Joshua, who had been on the receiving end of repeated claims he ducked the American.
The former two-time unified heavyweight champ said: “It makes the ultimate sense.
“It’s hard because at the time when people are talking and you see lots of media stuff, you start to believe what that person is saying.
“When time goes by, naturally the truth will always reveal itself. I get a lot of stick but I take it with a pinch of salt.
“He admitted it. We made him a lucrative offer but he wanted to face Fury.

“So be it. If that’s what he wanted to do, fine. But he dragged my name through the mud.
“While Wilder was trying to make me look like a bad person, that I didn’t want to enhance the sport, or fight certain fighters, I just had to roll with the punches.
“He has come out and said it himself. We offered him a really good deal but he wanted to fight Fury.
“People can take it how they want, and see what the truth is now.”

Inside KSI and Logan Paul’s booming Prime business as YouTube sensations take world by storm – and now worth £18MILLION

BOXING rivals-turned-business partners KSI and Logan Paul have taken the world by storm with their Prime hydration drink. The pair, who twice fought each other with the first ending in a draw and KSI winning the rematch, launched the company in 2022.

Prime has become the most in-demand drink on the shelves
And it has become somewhat of a sensation across the globe, especially in the US and UK.
According to Dealroom.co, Prime already has an estimated worth of £18million but the pair believe it can gross billions in the future.
But how did it get to this position?
Well, KSI and Paul are not strictly the brains behind the business, as revealed by The Sun on Sunday.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
That is actually down to publicity-shy American duo Trey Steiger and Max Clemons, who own the firm that created the drink.
The pair, both in their twenties, met at school in Louisville, Kentucky, and now control a drinks empire experts say is set to produce ten million bottles a year, making more than £85m.
They own company Congo Brands, which in turn owns Prime Hydration in the US and in the UK.
Creators Trey and Max set up the Prime brand in early 2022, recruiting KSI and Paul, and using a similar business model they first employed four years ago for gym supplement Alani.

But Companies House accounts show neither control Prime Hydration UK — owned by its US parent, which in turn comes under the umbrella of Trey and Max’s Congo Brands.
KSI, 29, and Paul, 27, believed to have ownership in Prime, have done an amazing job in promoting the brand.
In the UK, it was exclusive to Asda, before Aldi also produced limited stock.
They are also a sponsor of Arsenal, with bottles available at the Emirates on matchday.
The high demand and limited distribution of Prime has caused chaos around the nation.
Footage has shown riots in Asda stores when new stock has arrived while other smaller stockists have sold it at castly inflated prices.

KSI and Logan Paul have created a sensation in PrimeCredit: instagram/DrinkPrime
One particular shop in Wakefield – called Wakey Wines – has infuriated KSI for selling rare cans for a whopping £100.
He fumed on talkSPORT: “There’s a guy called ‘Wakey Wines’ and I don’t know if it’s a joke or not, but either way it’s terrible practice.
“People want to try these drinks and they have not got the chance to try the drinks.
“They see me promote it and I know a lot of people are inspired by me and interested in the things that I promote… so when people saw that I was promoting Prime they wanted to try it.
“But, now you have people who are bulk buying and selling it for stupid prices and taking advantage of the hype and I hate it.”
Despite the major success of Prime – not even in its first year yet – KSI revealed neither him or Paul have earned a penny.

Responding to re-sells, KSI tweeted: “This annoys me so much.
“We’re trying so hard to increase the supply as much as possible to try and combat the black market selling.
“Me and Logan ain’t made any money from Prime. It’s all going back into the business to increase the supply. We’re trying people.”
Looking ahead, Prime are set to debut a range of new flavours in 2023.
Blue Raspberry, Lemon Lime, Tropical Punch, Strawberry Watermelon and Orange Mango are set to hit the shelves.

The brand has confirmed the drinks, which are currently out in the US, will be reaching the UK in April.
KSI and Paul are hoping to keep the thirst for Prime going as they enter their second year in business.

Roy Jones Jr claims Liam Smith illegally elbowed Chris Eubank Jr in moments before shock KO loss in blast at Eddie Hearn

ROY JONES JR appeared to claim Chris Eubank Jr was illegally elbowed by Liam Smith – in a fiery response to Eddie Hearn. Eubank was stunned in defeat to Smith, floored and knocked out for the first time in his career.
Roy Jones Jr appeared to claim Chris Eubank Jr was illegally elbowed by Liam Smith
And promoter Hearn criticised the beaten boxer’s development since linking up with coach Jones in 2020.
He told iFL TV: “Technically, Eubank has never been great, but what he’s always had is a fearless mentality, a great chin and a great engine.
“What he’s done with Roy Jones Jr is completely take those assets away.”
Boxing legend Jones – considered one of the all time greats – furiously hit back at Hearn.

And he pointed at what looked to be an elbow that landed on Eubank just moments before Smith scored his first knockdown.
Jones, 54, posted: “Warning!!!! All boxers!!!!! Avoid Roy Jones Jr as a trainer! Never mind this elbow…… Just avoid him.
“Damn, If I can take all that away from a fighter via training, no wonder I raised so much hell in my day!!

Eubank, 33, was sent to the canvas twice in round four by Smith, 34, before referee Victor Loughlin was forced to end the fight.
The middleweight has an option in his contract which gives him the right to rematch if he chooses.
And despite both opening the door to a sequel at Anfield, Eubank’s promoter Kalle Sauerland insisted no rash decisions will be made.
Sauerland told Sky Sports: “We obviously have that rematch clause, but we’ll let the dust settle.
“We’ve got a few weeks to activate that. We’ll take an internal discussion, see what the best way forward is for Jr and go from there.
“For sure, that score obviously needs to be settled, but take nothing away from Beefy, it was a fantastic victory for him and congratulations to him and the whole Smith family.”
