KSI’s MisFits promotion planning for ‘TAG-TEAM match’ as YouTube star teases idea which will ‘change boxing forever’

KSI, 29, knocked out online rival Faze Temperrr, also 29, in his last bout at Wembley Arena.
On the undercard, they included an unprecedented “mystery opponent” with fans kept in the dark until the ring walk.
And it was revealed KSI’s ex-opponent Luis Alcaraz Pineda, 23, was the surprise man, beating BDave.
Pineda came out to The Undertaker’s theme music – and it looks like MisFits could take even more inspiration from the WWE.

According to The Bread Batch, MisFits are sensationally looking to set up a boxing tag-team match.
It is claimed former opponents Pineda and BDave would face YouTuber Stromedy and another opponent.
KSI has not commented on the speculation but warned an announcement is incoming.
He tweeted: “This Monday, Misfits is gonna change boxing forever.

KSI plans to return to the ring in the summer before eyeing an end of year blockbuster against arch rival Jake Paul.
But if Paul, 26, is beaten by Tommy Fury, 23, in their February 26 Saudi Arabia fight, the grudge match faces collapse.
KSI said: “Obviously a lot of people want me to comment on Fury vs Jake Paul.
“I’ll watch it, I’m going to be watching, keeping a close eye, seeing if Jake is improved or seeing what he’s going to do, seeing what he does.
“I want to see if Jake wins. If Tommy wins, I’m going to be fighting Tommy, simple as that.”

They will put unbeaten records, bragging rights and family reputation on the line on Sunday, February 26 in Saudi Arabia.
Paul, 26, is in London to officially face off with Fury, 23, for the first time, having flown in from Dubai where he was in camp.
And his betting company Betr, gave fans a look into some of the American’s training while out in the Middle East.
Paul was filmed shadow boxing, working on his jab and feints while also doing a balancing drill on a board.

The pair’s latest fight announcement marks the third time the two will attempt to settle their score in the ring.
Fury was forced to pull out in December 2021 due to a rib injury and then last August amid a US visa issue.
But he hopes it really is third time lucky as he vowed to bury Paul’s boxing career in the desert.
He said: “Jake Paul’s boxing career ends on February 26th and I can finally move on with mine.

Logan Paul WOULD beat Mike Tyson as Baddest Man on the Planet is ‘smoking a lot and not a sportsman’, says Beterbiev

LOGAN PAUL has been tipped to beat Mike Tyson by boxing champion Artur Beterbiev. Tyson, 56, in 2020 made a shock comeback in an exhibition bout against fellow legend Roy Jones Jr, 54.

Mike Tyson made a boxing comeback in 2020
And it opened the door to the possibility of future spectacle fights, with the likes of Logan and Jake Paul among those interested.
After Logan, 27, took American icon Floyd Mayweather, 45, the eight-round distance in their exhibition in 2021, he backed himself to beat Tyson.
And even the sport’s only champion with a 100 per cent knockout, who fights Anthony Yarde on Saturday, ratio agrees.
Beterbiev, 38, told SunSport: “I think Logan Paul can beat Mike Tyson of today because Mike Tyson is an old guy now.

“Mike Tyson is smoking a lot today he’s not a sportsman anymore. He’s not a fighter anymore.
“Of course Mike Tyson has a big name still but he’s not the same Mike Tyson when he was great back in the days.
“In his peak he was a monster but now he’s an old guy now. Against Roy Jones Jr, they did a good show but it was just an exhibition of 4 rounds but not a real fight.
“It was just for show and not really a real boxing ‘fight’. If Mike Tyson and Logan Paul do fight, I think it still will be a show not a good fight, like I said Mike Tyson is an old guy now.

“And he can’t fight anymore like the young fighters. Even though Logan Paul is not a boxer but he’s young and he has good health and good cardio.”
Logan had two fights against YouTube rival-turned now business partner KSI, 29, drawing the first and losing the rematch.
But a knee injury has ruled him out of a boxing return for the first time since his exhibition with Mayweather.
His brother Jake, 25, meanwhile is 6-0 as a boxer, having beaten stars of the MMA world in the process.
But he boldly claimed he would rather fight Beterbiev to Dmitry Bivol, 31, who beat Canelo Alvarez, 32, last year.
Beterbiev responded: “Tell him to call me, call my promoter.
“I’m ready to fight him I think it’s an easy fight for me. Do you think it’s a tough fight for me?
“If I’m a real boxing champion I need to beat guys like Jake Paul in the first round, you know.
“But maybe something can happen but if I’m a real champion then I should be able to beat this guy in the first round. He just talks.

‘I’m more focused on belts’ – Artur Beterbiev dismisses Canelo Alvarez fight after Mexican’s loss to Dmitry Bivol

ARTUR BETERBIEV says he is not interested in fighting Canelo Alvarez, because he doesn’t have any belts he wants.Canelo is the current undisputed super-middleweight champ but no longer holds a light-heavyweight belt.

The Mexican beat Sergey Kovalev in 2019 to win the WBO light-heavyweight title, but then vacated the belt to move back to super-middleweight.
And Canelo would last year fail to pick up the WBA light heavyweight belt after being beaten in a unanimous decision by Dmitri Bivol.
And Beterbiev said of the prospect of fighting Canelo: “I really wanted to fight Canelo when he was the champion in the division.
“That time I really wanted to fight him because he had another belt in my division.

“It’s more motivation for me to get the belt than the Canelo name.
“I’m more focused for the titles and belts than on the big-name fighters just because they have a name.”
In 2021, Canelo’s promoted Bob Arum said he would be interested in the challenge of fighting Beterbiev, who has knocked out every fighter he’s ever faced.
Arum commented: “Canelo is a risk-taker and that makes him so popular.

“It would be a massive fight because the betting action would go both ways.
“Some will way Beterbiev is too big and powerful. Others will say Canelo is special and can handle everybody.
“It is one of the biggest fights in boxing.”
However, this weekend Beterbiev will be focused on Wembley Arena and a huge fight with Anthony Yarde.
And the Russian says he can’t wait to fight in front of a British crowd.
He commented: “I am very happy that I will a fight before the English public.
“England is known as the place where bare-knuckle boxing resurfaced more than 500 years ago.
“I hope I will gain more fans in England after this fight. So I am very happy I will fight in the birthplace of modern-day boxing.”

Fury, brother of heavyweight champ Tyson, has finally seen a bout against Paul confirmed after the previous two occasions when the pair were meant to fight were cancelled.
But with a third attempt now pencilled in for next month, KSI has revealed he will be watching the fight, revealed his plan depending on the outcome.
Speaking on an Instagram live to his fans, KSI said: “Obviously a lot of people want me to comment on Fury vs Jake Paul.

After confirming he will be keeping an eye on the bout ahead of a potential grudge-match against Paul, the Brit then revealed his next step if Paul is defeated.
He added: “If Tommy wins, I’m going to be fighting Tommy, simple as that.”
In a Twitter space with fans he also said: “At that point [if Paul loses] I’d probably have to fight Tommy Fury instead of Jake.
“If Tommy beats Jake then I don’t think that’s the money fight any more.

“For me it’s always about being the best, I have a goal of fighting three fights this year and I’d have to do more than I said I would do [to fight both].
“I’m a busy guy, there’s only so much I can do. People forget that boxing isn’t everything.
“I’ve got Sidemen stuff, uploads on my YouTube channel, I’ve still got to release music, do tours and festivals etc so for me the goal is fighting the best at the end of the year and if it’s Tommy or if it’s Jake we get it cracking.
“That’s why I always say it’s all on the line, every fight is dangerous.”
However, Love Island star Fury has previously insisted Paul will be the only YouTube personality he fights before returning to fight career boxers.
He said: “I made it very clear when all of this stuff started going on with Jake Paul that he is the only [YouTuber] I would ever fight.
“I want to fight legitimate fighters, win titles and go down in history by having my name remembered.
“Fighting Jake Paul doesn’t do that, he’s a man who thinks he can make some money from boxing and see what happens.”

I was surrounded by guns and threatened with knives in tough London streets… Beterbiev doesn’t scare me, says Yarde

ANTHONY YARDE has no fear taking on big-punching Artur Beterbiev after facing down guns on London streets. The 31-year-old from Hackney grew up among deprivation and crime, with his childhood home brushed into the shadows of the flashy Westfield shopping centre in Stratford.

Stabbings and robberies were commonplace until boxing helped lift the light-heavyweight ace up and out of a perilous environment.
But his life is in danger again tonight as he takes on the 18-0 WBC, IBF and WBO champ Beterbiev, who has battered all his victims inside the distance and starves himself three days out from a fight to make himself as angry as possible.
Yarde has shown no sign of nerves in the build-up to the Wembley Arena showdown and explains that flying bullets are much scarier than fists.
After staring down the bearded caveman that is Beterbiev, 38, he revealed: “It’s different.  We are  talking in terms of fear and I don’t fear anybody.

Brave Brit Callum Johnson was bludgeoned inside four rounds by the Canada-based Chechen in 2018, labelling him a ‘pound-for-pound killer, an animal, a monster’.
The Bond-villain accent, bear-like hair and thirst for blood make Beterbiev a frightening force.
But Yarde reckons he has the chin and characteristics to win this war of the whiskers.
Under a perfectly manicured moustache, he explained: “There’s nobody on this planet who can have his record and do what he’s done and be nothing to worry about.
“I’ve seen little clips of him, he’s done basic things very well. Clearly he hits hard but the little things he does do, he does well and he does them repeatedly.
“He’s got a good engine but, at the same time, he gets hit. I’m not a person you can stand there and get hit by. It’s exciting.
“I’ll admit he’s got a better beard than me. I can’t grow a beard like that. I’ve got to give myself a trimming and a grooming before the fight.”
Yarde is the 6-1 longshot with even his diehard fans giving him only a puncher’s chance.
But he is refusing to dwell on the enormity of the task ahead — and will only look back at bashing Beterbiev and the bookies once he has secured  the belts.
He said: “I’ve not looked at the odds. There’s certain things I don’t pay attention to, it can distract you, it can take away your focus, it can make you overcompensate.
“Someone can come and tell you stuff but sometimes I’m a bit dismissive.
“I’m like, ‘ah, keep it to yourself, I don’t care’. I’d rather find out after the fight.
