Tyson Fury fight against Oleksandr Usyk in major doubt with Ukrainian set to take on mandatory world title clash instead

OLEKSANDR USYK could turn his attention to his mandatory challenger with an undisputed fight against Tyson Fury in major doubt. The Ukrainian accepted Fury’s “greedy” offer to unify all four heavyweight belts for the first time in history on April 29 at Wembley.

The WBA had ordered Usyk, 36, to agree terms for the unification or else face mandatory Daniel Dubois, 25.
But the governing body were informed that both sides had settled on a split and wanted to press ahead with the historic title clash.
Although Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas has vented his frustration with no deal yet agreed and warned they could now fight Dubos instead.
Klimas told SNAC: “If this fight is going to happen, only April 29th. Or it’s just going to be cancelled, and we’ll go with the mandatory.”

The boxing manager revealed Fury’s US promotional team Top Rank are now involved to try and smooth over negotiations.
But Klimas claimed the current unified heavyweight and ex-undisputed cruiserweight champion is being treated unfairly.
He said: “It’s changed, Top Rank got more involved in it, but not too much.
“They’re still treating Oleksandr Usyk like they did with Derek Chisora, or Dillian Whyte.

“They act like it’s just a regular Fury fight in the UK, and everything has to be by Fury’s rules.”
Fury, 34, spoke out to demand NO rematch clause in the contract but Usyk’s side claimed his team were the ones asking for it.
Klimas said: “So what’s it going to be tomorrow? You can not fight with right hand? Only one hand?
“What’s going to be next? We don’t know what’s going to be next from this guy.”
Klimas has previously maintained Usyk’s acceptance of 70/30 is only valid for a fight on April 29, just six weeks away.
And any postponement will cause a renegotiation of 50/50 split between the unbeaten pair.

Jake Paul BANNED from attending Leon Edwards world title fight against Kamaru Usman at UFC 286 after Dana White row

JAKE PAUL is BANNED from attending all UFC events including Leon Edwards’ title fight with Kamaru Usman in London. Edwards defends his welterweight strap against Usman in a trilogy decider tonight at the O2 Arena after his head kick KO in August.

Conor McGregor, 34, revealed he could be in attendance as he eyes a shot at the 170lb belt.
But one man who will not be in town is YouTuber-turned boxer Paul, 26, who has long rivalled UFC boss Dana White.
The American was at UFC 261 in April 2021 and hit the headlines after the arena was filled with chant of “f*** Jake Paul.”
But according to the man himself, UFC president White was left fuming and banned him from ever attending events again.

Paul said on his podcast last October: “I’m banned from UFC events.
“Dana banned me after [the fans] were shouting ‘f** Jake Paul in a stadium,’ and I tried to go to a different fight and all of our tickets were declined, banned.”
Paul has hit out at White in the past and accused the promoter of underpaying his stars and failing to provide them with healthcare.
But his older brother Logan, 27, recently signed a deal to see his Prime hydration drink sponsor the UFC.

Although Logan recently claimed Paul’s feud with White is not personal.
He said: “Again, you’re just playing a game, and here’s my theory: if Jake is able to identify a target to further his agenda of fighter pay, [that’s] the way to do it.
“Like, if you can identify a common enemy, unite everyone against that person, [then] you’re furthering your own agenda.”

The bloodied American trainer, 44, took to Instagram today to reveal the shocking ordeal.
The videos showed the x-ray of the bullet in his leg and the marks where the gun was pressed against his temple just before he went into surgery.
Flores wrote: “Tonight I was attacked by two armed motorcycle drivers as a passenger at a RED LIGHT.
“They pulled up, stuck a gun to my head, tried to steal my wallet and my watch.

“They shot me one time in the leg and I defended myself the best way I could.
“I am still in the emergency room waiting to have the bullet removed at 5:18am.
“Thank you for the well wishes. I will learn from this.
“Be safe out there please. Life is precious.”

Earlier on, he had posted numerous videos after touching down in Medellin to enjoy some down time and explore real estate properties.
Flores is a former boxer himself, famously fighting Brit Tony Bellew in 2016 but was knocked out in round three.
He had 39 pro fights in the ring, winning 34 and losing four.
Flores has been working with YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul since 2021 and was in his corner for February’s defeat to former Love Islander Tommy Fury.
The Californian was hospitalised in February last year with a “penis injury” after being bitten by a dog.
He shared a video on Instagram of him in a hospital bed, with a diagnosis sheet reading “dog bite, initial encounter” as well as “penile laceration, initial encounter”.
He then posted a message that read: “Talk about terrified, I am fine thank God!
“So whenever you think you’re having a bad day… Just remember that story about the guy that was in the ER until 4am with a ‘penile laceration’ from a dog bite.”
He was discharged after recovering from the surgery.

Eddie Hearn names his Mount Rushmore of boxing – but leaves Tyson Fury OFF the list as promoter tells him ‘f*** off’

EDDIE HEARN has named his ‘Mount Rushmore’ of boxing but the list is more notable for those that missed out rather than those who made it. The Matchroom boss has even included himself in the list which may not be a surprise to some with heavyweight champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk surprisingly missing out.

Fury’s omission might not come as a surprise giving Hearn went on an extraordinary rant last month over the Gypsy King’s apparent reluctance to accept a heavyweight unification fight with Usyk.
Hearn said: “F*** off. You want money, you want too much money, you’re not the draw you think you are, that fight’s not as big as you think it is.”
The 43-year-old is currently busy promoting Anthony Joshua’s return to the ring on April 1st against Jermaine Franklin in a fight the Brit must win following back-to-back defeats to Usyk.
It is Joshua who tops Hearn’s list despite suffering three defeats in his last five fights.

Mexican Canelo ‘Saul’ Alvarez is second on the list and his inclusion is far less questionable than Joshua’s given he has only lost twice in 62 fights and is a multiple world champion over four different weight divisions.
Third on the list is Irish star Katie Taylor who is currently unbeaten and is the undisputed lightweight world champion.
Taylor is currently preparing for her next defence against Chantelle Cameron on May 20.
To conclude the line-up Hearn has cheekily given himself the final spot for his contribution to the sport.

This act may irk the likes of Fury but Hearn has never been shy of ruffling feathers.

Kingpyn’s High Stakes matches could push the trend even further and it has been dubbed the “biggest influencer boxing tournament” ever.
The Brooke sisters and Amber are among 16 influencer fighters taking part in three separate events.
And although the fighting does not officially begin until the first round at the OVO Arena on April 22, Emily and Amber almost came to blows at the quarter-final draw earlier this week.

After being pitted together the pair met on stage and it quickly became feisty.
Emily leaned her forehead into Amber and the OnlyFans star responded with a push.

Amber started the taunting by tweeting: “Can’t wait to land a sweet one on Emily’s chin, should be easy considering it’s such a big target.”

But that led to Elle responding his the clip which shows her landing a huge right to the chest of Amber in a previous sparring session along with another that shows her flooring her with a left hook.
Elle captioned the footage with: “How you going to 2x the speed so shamelessly. Give the people what they really want to see…”
However, Amber hit back with: “HAHAHAHA how you gonna post 10 of the worst seconds from a nearly 20 minute sparring session, including a clip where literally STAND ON MY FOOT and think you did something, also this footage is 6 months old and was my first ever spar, not exactly gonna be Mohammad Ali am I.”

‘Borat wants his voice back’ – Tyson Fury delivers X-rated rant at Oleksandr Usyk’s manager as fight talks stall

TYSON FURY has delivered an X-rated attack on Oleksandr Usyk’s manager and even stooped to comparing him to “Borat” in his latest Instagram post.Fury, 34, and Usyk, 36, are trying to finalise a fight for all four world title belts at Wembley Stadium on April 29.

Alex Krassyuk, pictured with Oleksandr Usyk, doubts that the April 29 showdown will happenCredit: Instagram @alex.krassyuk
The Gypsy King, who holds the WBC title, had vowed to end his reign of online terror by going on a social media blackout after declaring that the unification bout is ON.
The unbeaten champions have been going back and forth on Instagram, seemingly negotiating their title unification in the open.
And Usyk’s team believe they have called Fury’s bluff by accepting his “greedy” offer of a 70/30 fight purse split.
The Ukrainian’s camp, led by his representative Alex Krassyuk, even doubt whether the undisputed title decider will go ahead as the clock ticks on.
    READ MORE ON TYSON FURY
However, Fury delivered a video message to him on Insta yesterday as he mocked Krassyuk’s voice in a foul-mouthed tirade.
The Brit, wearing an England football shirt, said: “Alex, Usyk’s manager, you sausage, Borat wants his voice back you f***ing bum.
“You’ll get what you’re getting, don’t worry. You’re the worst manager in history, you got your fighter to accept 30 per cent you dumb dosser.
“You’re not that clever are you bum, you got outwitted by a man that never went to school in his life, sausage.

“Keep talking and your boy is going to get smash and be beltless like the other bum AJ.
    “Come on. Rule Britannia Motherf***er.”
Usyk has said that he will agree to the 70/30 split – as long as Fury donates £1m to the Ukraine war fund if he wins.
Fury has not publically replied to that request but threw another spanner into the works on Monday when he called for their dust-up to be a one-fight-affair with no rematch clause.
That led to Usyk’s other representative Egis Klimas warning if the original date next month is not honoured, they will renegotiate for 50/50.
Usyk’s promoter Krassyuk then echoed Klimas’ comments, meaning Fury’s lion’s share split is ONLY valid for April 29 – which led to the WBC champ’s X-rated response.
Krassyuk told Sky Sports: “Usyk was very clear in his message, ‘April 29th, I accept 70/30.’
“So all the conditions that were accepted by Usyk are due only for April 29th. And Egis Klimas yesterday came out on Twitter saying that if it moves just by one day, then it’s going to be 50/50 again.”

He added: “”I’m not really confident that this fight will happen on April 29th. I will be surprised if it takes place.
“But if it takes place, I will be really happy because this is the biggest thing Usyk wants, the baddest thing he wants in his life, to unify the belts in heavyweight division, the second division in his career.”

Francis Ngannou closing in on Deontay Wilder boxing fight and says ‘somebody’s head off will be taken OFF’

FRANCIS NGANNOU revealed he is closing in on a deal to fight Deontay Wilder – and made a brutal prediction for it. Ngannou is a free agent after leaving the UFC following a breakdown in contract negotiations.

And the Cameroonian confirmed he is eyeing a boxing switch and has held talks to face Anthony Joshua.
But it is American star Wilder who Ngannou, 36, is deepest in conversations with.
He said on The MMA Hour: “Yes, we have had the conversation and at this moment, we’re more closer than with anybody else.”
Ngannou revealed summer is the target fight date for a bout which will bring together two of the biggest punchers in history.

He said: “I think somebody will take somebody’s head off. I would just try [for it] not to be mine. I think that’s probably what’s going to happen.”
Ngannou is leaving the door open to an MMA return as he nears a move to boxing and has the Professional Fighters League and ONE Championship in mind.
He said: “I have made a decision. Without making a done deal, I know what my next move is going to be.
“I know that I want to fight boxing first and then after that I will fight MMA. I’m going to sign with one MMA promotion.

“I haven’t made a decision on that yet, [but I’m] very close. PFL and ONE FC right now, we are very close. We will see.”
Ngannou added: “I’m going to do what I’m doing, and what is interesting about it, obviously there is huge money down here, but also, most of this deal has been viewed as a partnership, which is great for me.
“I feel well-respected, appreciated. It is different. It feels different. Listen, I never thought there was an MMA promotion that pays more than UFC, or that has [more] money than the UFC.
“If the UFC wants to pay somebody, they will pay you, but the way that he comes, I’m not down for it. I’d rather get something with more value.
“My last three years weren’t so happy, so excited. Maybe at the end of the day, this is good for everybody.”

Paul, 26, is due to head up a “super-fight” series which will also host his debut in the cage.
Ex-UFC title challenger Hardy – now on board with PFL Europe – joked that he would be the perfect opponent for the American.
He told talkSPORT: “If he wants an opponent in MMA, I’m ideal.
“I’m 40, I’ve been out of it for ten years now, my takedown defence sucks, my wrestling is terrible, I’ve got no ground game and I love a punch up.

“If he’s looking for an opponent in MMA, I mean, I’m probably a safer bet than Tyron Woodley. You would think, right?”
Paul has beaten ex-MMA champions Ben Askren, 38, Woodley, 40, and Anderson Silva, 47, during his career.
But in his first bout against a professional boxer, he was beaten, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury, 23.
