Floyd Mayweather shows off inside of his luxury private jet and wears stunning jewellery ahead of ring return

BOXING LEGEND Floyd Mayweather gave fans an insight into his life as he shared a snap of himself aboard his luxury private jet.
The American has remained busy during lockdown, and his aircraft has come in handy both for business and relaxation.

Mayweather, 43, previously shared images aboard “Air Mayweather” back in April, when he took on a friend in a game of high-stakes poker.
This time he appeared to be solo, as he posed in an all-white outfit, cap and a gorgeous array of jewellery.
Mayweather retired from professional boxing back in 2017, after defeating MMA star Conor McGregor to make it 50 wins out of 50 for his illustrious professional career.
He did make a brief return a year later, however, when he defeated kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Saitama, Japan.

But SunSport revealed earlier this month that talks are ongoing between Mayweather and MMA promotion RIZIN about another bout in Japan.
And Mayweather’s personal security guard Greg La Rosa has stoked fans’ excitement with his comments on his boss’ latest Instagram post.

Roy Jones Jr out to settle score with UFC icon Anderson Silva after Mike Tyson showdown

ROY JONES JR is vowing to give 45-year-old UFC whippersnapper Anderson Silva a dream shot – if he can first prove he’s more nifty over 50 than Mike Tyson.
Former four-weight world champion Jones Jr, 51, takes on 54-year-old ex-heavyweight king Tyson in an exhibition comeback bout on September 12.

Jones is then keen to meet former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight champion Silva – a decade after they both promised the boxing showdown.
He told  MMA Fighting: “He always wanted to make a fight with me.
“They just never allowed him the opportunity to do it, or they never had the right time to do it
“We both gave our words that if we ever got the opportunity, we would.

    ‘MIKE’S A KILLER’
“I did give him my word that if the opportunity came, I would, so after this fight, he could get it.”
Before that, though, Jones admits facing Tyson is “risky” – calling him a “strong lion” with a “cheetah mentality”.
So Jones believes he must stay out of danger early on to become king of the half-centurions’ jungle after fellow American Tyson tires.
He said: “Not only does Mike look like a killer, Mike is a killer, but the whole thing people need to realise is, Mike is a killer, not a cheetah.

Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr PPV ‘will cost fans a staggering £39’ to watch exhibition bout

MIKE TYSON’S boxing comeback against Roy Jones Jr will reportedly cost fight fans a staggering £39 on pay-per-view.
After months of teasing a sensational return to the ring on social media, 54-year-old Iron Mike signed the contract last week.

He will fight fellow boxing legend, 51-year-old Jones Jr, on September 12 in California.
And according to The Athletic, fight fans in the US will have to stump up $49.99, around £39, if they want to watch the exhibition bout.
But that is still well short of the highest PPV price in the US.
It cost fight fans $99 to watch Floyd Mayweather easily outpoint Manny Pacquiao in May 2015.

UK viewers had it much easier, costing £24.95 on Sky Sports Box Office.
Tyson Fury’s controversial draw with Deontay Wilder back in December 2018 cost Americans $75.
It is not known how much Tyson vs Jones Jr will cost for fans in the UK at the time of writing.

Tyson has been inundated with fight offers since he announced he was coming out of retirement after 15 years.
But it’s Jones Jr that will step into the ring with the former Baddest Man on the Planet first.
    JONES FEARS TYSON
The bout will be an eight-round exhibition but the age of its competitors has split opinion.
And even Jones Jr acknowledged the risk of fighting beyond the age of 50, especially against someone with the power of Tyson.
He told World Boxing News: “His legs are huge and his thighs are huge. His arms are huge and his neck is huge!
“It’s very risky, yes. But God’s in control of all.
“[Previously] I was beating everybody in every weight class I was in, so what you gonna do?
“It’s like David and Goliath. He’s a giant monster, we know.
“I’m little David and all I’ve got is God on my side, which is all I’m gonna need.”
    FIGHT WITH NO JUDGES
Tyson’s opponent last fought in 2018 and is a former pound for pound champ.
Tyson has shed six stone in anticipation for his return to the ring and promised to give everything once he climbs between the ropes.
Now it seems that the winner may only be determined via knockout – if either man even gets that chance.
It has emerged that the clash will be stopped if either receives a cut.
California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster spoke to Boxingscene.com to explain: “Tyson and Jones Jr won’t be wearing headgear for the fight.
“They’ll be lacing up 12-ounce gloves and there won’t be any judges present at the fight to score the action.

AJ, who is preparing to face 39-year-old Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev, enjoys some shadow boxing with one supporter.
He then held his hands up mimicking pads for another, who received a lesson on combination punching from the heavyweight.
Joshua’s IBF mandatory defence against Pulev was initially set for June but later faced the axe amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Promoter Eddie Hearn now hopes to reschedule the title fight for November, with a reduced crowd at the O2 Arena.

AJ has not boxed at the O2 since 2016, instead headlining at Wembley and the Principality Stadium.
He was on the road twice last year, first losing in a shock upset against Andy Ruiz Jr in New York last June before winning the rematch in Saudi Arabia six months later.
Joshua looks set to fight just once this year, but has already agreed a double header with WBC champion Tyson Fury, 31, in 2021.

Mike Tyson’s kids want him to axe comeback at 54 and ‘sit his old ass down’ but boxing legend dismisses protests

MIKE TYSON’S kids have urged him to sit his “old ass down” instead of making his boxing comeback.
But the 54-year-old has insisted he is feeling “very confident” ahead of his showdown against Roy Jones Jr.

    2

Mike Tyson’s nearest and dearest do not want him to fight again
Heavyweight legend Tyson has not fought since his defeat to Kevin McBride in 2005.
But the former Baddest Man on the Planet will come out of retirement to fight on September 12.
Fans have been left fearing for Jones Jr after the 54-year-old shared some training footage.
But Tyson’s seven kids, who range from aged nine to 30, think his return to the ring is a bad idea.

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, he said: “My kids think I should sit my old ass down.
“But what do they know? I’m very confident.
“They don’t know how to fight, neither one of my kids can beat me in a fight, so what are they talking about.”
Jones Jr did not sound quite as confident when he admitted the fight is “very risky”.

Floyd Mayweather fires dig at old rival Manny Pacquiao as he brags ‘he fights because he has to, I fight if I want to’

FLOYD MAYWEATHER has reignited his rivalry with Manny Pacquiao by claiming his old foe has to continue fighting for financial reasons.
Money – who topped the Forbes rich list of the decade with a £706MILLION fortune – officially walked away from the ring in 2017.

The 43-year-old beat UFC star Conor McGregor in a lucrative crossover bout which is said to have earned the American £300m.
Mayweather returned just a year later in an exhibition fight against Tenshin Nasukawa and earned £7m for the two-minute spectacle.
In November he announced he is “coming out of retirement in 2020” and would be working with UFC boss Dana White on a “spectacular event”.
Mayweather’s U-turn has led to accusations that he needs to make yet another comeback because he’s blown his extraordinary wealth.

Pacquiao fights because he has to. Once again, I fight if I want to. So there’s a difference
    Floyd Mayweather

But the former five division world champion took another dig at Pacquiao by claiming that he fights if he wants to.
Mayweather taunted the Filipino, who last fought in July 2019, that he has to keep stepping in the ring to earn money.
As reported by Boxing Scene, he told rapper Fat Joe: “My faculties and everything that I got come first.
“We just talked about, your health is your wealth. And that’s why I got this towel on, I was working out today.

“Now, Pacquiao fights because he has to. Once again, I fight if I want to. So there’s a difference.”

Pacquiao, whose overall net worth is estimated to be £148m, rolled back the years to hand Keith Thurman his first ever pro defeat to become a world champion once again.
But his most lucrative pay-day came in his 2015 defeat to Mayweather, as the fight became the richest of all time.
Despite selling a record 4.6m PPVs and recording the highest gate in history, fans felt the fight took place with both boxers past their best.
Yet Mayweather argued that critics are just trying to play down one of his biggest career wins.

Bernard Hopkins to come out of retirement at 55 for trilogy fight with Roy Jones Jr after Mike Tyson return

BERNARD HOPKINS has insisted he would come out of retirement to fight Roy Jones Jr for the third time.
Jones Jr, 51, has agreed to take on Mike Tyson, 55, in an eight-round exhibition fight on September 12.

    2

Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr squared off twice in the boxing ring
Hopkins, 55, hung up his gloves in 2016 with a record of 55-8-2 including 32 knockouts.
The American, known as The Executioner, fought Jones Jr twice during his career.
He lost their first showdown in 1993, but bounced back to win the rematch in 2010.
When asked about a third fight against Jones Jr, Hopkins told fighthub: “If I were to get in the ring again, it would be to settle, even though we met many times in circles, fights, and boxing, I think you know where I’m going.

“He won one in 93, and I avenged myself 16+ years later or 14+ years later.
“If I had a choice, the only critical question is what weight it would be?
“It would be Roy Jones because we’re 1 and 1.
“He got the first one; I wouldn’t say in the prime of my career.

“I’d say the opening of the door of the future Hall of Famers, and then we became that.
“In 1993, everyone knew that Roy was the Olympian, and should have got the gold. I believe that too.

Mike Tyson claims he would ‘kick Conor McGregor’s ass’ in boxing fight as legend appears on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show

MIKE TYSON has claimed that he would ‘kick Conor McGregor’s ass’ in a boxing fight.
The 54-year-old is coming out of retirement to lock horns with Roy Jones Jr on September 12 in an eight-round exhibition showdown.

Iron Mike has shed six stone in anticipation for his return to the ring and promised to give everything once he climbs between the ropes.
The “Baddest Man on the Planet” won 44 of his bouts by KO and was a two-time world heavyweight champion.
And despite his last fight coming back in 2005, Tyson is confident he’d have the edge over several fighting icons.
While appearing on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the American claimed he’d destroy Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago.

When asked about UFC legend McGregor, Tyson responded: “Imma kick his ass anyway, we’ll play boxing rules.”

McGregor, 32, lost his first, and only, professional boxing match back in 2017 to Floyd Mayweather.
And speaking on his podcast, Tyson had actually praised the Irishman for his skills on his in-ring debut.
He said: “He never really had a boxing match in his life, right. He went 10 rounds with the greatest fighter in the last 100 years of boxing.

“He went 10 rounds, scored punches on the greatest boxer in the last 100 years.
“Did he do something? Did he accomplish something? People should look who he had the fight against and look what he did when he fought against him.”
McGregor responded on social media and wrote: “Thank you Mike and just know that for the inevitable rematch, with the knowledge I now hold of Floyd’s style, plus under the tutelage of my old school boxing coach, I will crack the puzzle, and I will beat Floyd. I promise my life on it.
