Mike Tyson reveals all after doctors gave him blood injection that left him feeling ‘weird’ during stem cell treatment

MIKE TYSON has revealed he was injected with nearly-translucent blood in his bid to make a comeback… and the former heavyweight champ said it made him feel “weird”.
The 54-year-old – who initially retired from boxing in 2005 – will fight Roy Jones Jr in November in his eagerly-anticipated comeback fight.

His return to action has been aided by stem-cell research therapy, which has left him feeling like a “different person”.
In May, Tyson claimed: “You know what I had done? I had stem-cell research therapy.
“I feel like a different person but I can’t comprehend why I feel this way.
“It’s really wild what scientists can do.”

    MIKE DROP
Stem-cell therapy is the use of stem cells to treat or prevent a disease or condition that usually takes the form of a bone marrow transplantation.
Tyson opened up on the effects the treatment has had on him in an recent interview with rapper LL Cool J on the Rock the Bells Radio show on SiriusXM, earlier in 2020.
Commenting on the mental aspect of training for a fight for the first time in 15 years, he said: “My mind wouldn’t belong to me.
“My mind would belong to somebody that disliked me enough to break my soul, and I would give them my mind for that period of time.

“Six weeks of this and I’d be in the best shape I’ve ever dreamed of being in. As a matter of fact, I’m going through that process right now. And you know what else I did, I did stem-cell research.”
Tyson was then asked whether that meant if his white blood had been spun and then put back in, to which he replied: “Yes. As they took the blood it was red and when it came back it was almost transfluid (sic).
“I could almost see through the blood, and then they injected it in me.
“And I’ve been weird ever since, I’ve got to get balanced now.”

WHAT IS STEM CELL TREATMENT USED FOR?

Stem cell transplants are carried out when bone marrow is damaged or isn’t able to produce healthy blood cells.
It can also be used to replace damaged blood cells as the result of intensive cancer treatment.
Here are conditions that stem cell transplants can be used to treat:
severe aplastic anaemia (bone marrow failure)
leukaemia – a type of cancer affecting white blood cells
lymphoma – another type of cancer affecting white blood cells
myeloma – cancer affecting cells called plasma cells
certain blood, immune system and metabolic disorders – examples include sickle cell anaemia, thalassaemia, severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and Hurler syndrome

Iron Mike had been called out by former rival Evander Holyfield to complete their trilogy following their two meetings in 1990s.
But he has since looked elsewhere, taking on Jones Jr later this year – potentially in front of a packed house.
Tyson is looking in incredible condition, too as he continues this hard graft.

Daniel Dubois tips Tyson Fury to beat Anthony Joshua as he reveals he has sparred with BOTH heavyweight champs

DANIEL DUBOIS tipped Tyson Fury to beat Anthony Joshua – having sparred both the heavyweight champions.
Fury, 32, and Joshua, 30, have verbally agreed a two-fight deal with 2021, as they eye an undisputed title decider.

Tyson Fury has been tipped to beat Anthony Joshua by Daniel Dubois

    4

Joshua has verbally agreed to a two-fight deal with Fury for next year
The clash of styles and opposing personalties makes for Britain’s biggest ever fight – with fans divided on the outcome.
But 22-year-old hot prospect Dubois, gives WBC champion Fury the slight edge against unified WBA, IBF and WBO king AJ.
He told SPORTbible: “Fury at the moment. His skill and his know-how, coupled with his confidence should beat Joshua.
“But it will be a really good fight. I wouldn’t be surprised if it went the other way and Joshua won.”

Dubois shared the ring with Fury when the Gypsy King was deep in depression and as a result overweight – but his talented had not left him.

He said: “He jumped in for one round with me in Bolton, just before I turned pro.
“I was sparring his cousin Hughie and we did a round together – he was really overweight back then, so it was just quick.
“He’s just as slippery as he looks though. He’s a masterful boxer – he’s learned his craft well.”

Dubois earned a name for himself even before turning pro, following rumours he dropped a then-unbeaten Joshua in the gym.
But the soft-spoken prodigy remained tight lipped about the infamous spar, instead honouring the code of ‘what happens in sparring stays in sparring’.

Dillian Whyte is not first boxer to be sucker-punched… now he must not let Povetkin loss KO title dream

YOU didn’t have to be a mind reader to know by the look on Dillian Whyte’s face that he was wondering: ‘What the hell hit me.’
Whyte, knocked out cold by Alexander Povetkin’s perfect left uppercut that exploded on his chin like a  sniper’s bullet, didn’t see it coming.

At least for now, Dillian Whyte’s dream of trying to dethrone Tyson Fury is off the agendaCredit: AFP – Getty
The punch was so  powerful it lifted his 18st frame off his feet and dumped him on his back in such a deep sleep, it’s a wonder he wasn’t snoring.
Last weekend in Brentwood, Whyte’s dream of challenging Tyson Fury, for his WBC world heavyweight title, was left in tatters.
Dillian appeared on his way to a comfortable win against the Russian, 40, when he became a victim of that boxing rarity — a devastating single KO blow.
It brought memories of other dramatic occasions I’ve seen when one shot  out of nowhere turns  certain victory into defeat.

Purists admire silky skills but for most there’s no more spine-tingling sight than someone  flattened  unexpectedly.
And perhaps most memorable of all was when 45-year-old George Foreman challenged unbeaten Michael Moorer — 19 years younger — for his WBA and IBF world heavyweight titles in  Las Vegas 26 years ago.

Moorer must have seen all the lights of Vegas flashing before he landed senseless on the canvas and Foreman celebrated becoming the oldest-ever world heavyweight champ.

Old man Foreman was having his head jabbed off while Moorer gave him a systematic beating.
Three judges had Moorer far ahead as they came out for the tenth and it looked  doubtful Foreman would make the final bell.

Little did we know Big George was seconds from history.
Moorer lost his focus and Foreman, seeing the opening, let fly with a right-hand bomb straight as an arrow that crashed against the champ’s jaw.
Moorer must have seen all the lights of Vegas flashing before he landed senseless on the canvas and  Foreman celebrated becoming the oldest-ever  world heavyweight champ.
Fourteen years before  I watched in disbelief as the WBA heavyweight crown changed hands in Knoxville, Tennessee.
John Tate’s first defence in front of his hometown fans saw him way ahead on points against the unheralded Mike Weaver.

    3

George Foreman was 45 and being outclassed when he KO’d Michael Moorer, 26 Credit: AFP
A tired and dispirited Weaver had never been 15 rounds.
With 55 seconds left of the final round he threw a desperate right cross.
It caught Tate right on the button and he crashed face down on the canvas,  out to the world, while Weaver celebrated.
The most heartbreaking Brit defeat I saw was when Herol Graham threw away the vacant WBC middleweight title against Julian Jackson in Spain 30 years ago.
Graham had brilliantly outclassed Jackson and  at the end of the third  Julian looked  beaten.
Everyone thought it was going to be stopped but his trainer persuaded the ref to give Jackson three more minutes.
All Herol had to do was jab and move but he tried to stop Jackson and the inevitable happened.
He left himself wide open and Jackson landed  a howitzer of a right on Graham’s chin and he was out like a light.

Amir Khan says having separate house from wife Faryal is ‘best thing ever’ for when they ‘can’t stand each other’

AMIR KHAN revealed having a separate house from wife Faryal is the “best thing ever” for when the couple “can’t stand each other”.
The two, who married in 2013, have landed their own BBC reality TV show.

Khan and Faryal live in a £1.3million mansion in Bolton
‘Meet the Khans: Big in Bolton’ will air next spring and give fans an insight into the relationship between Khan, 33, and Faryal, 29.
They live in a £1.3million mansion in Bolton with their kids Lamaisah, six, Alayna, two, and six-month-old son Muhammad.
But Khan also has a bungalow just next to his home – called the ‘mad pad’ – which he credits for improving his marriage.
Faryal said: “Sometimes when you can’t stand each other, you have to think that you have children.”

I do think having a separate house has also made our relationship stronger, because you’re not in each other’s face all the time.
    Amir Khan

Amir added: “That’s why I’ve got the other house, so I can take a walk there.
“I swear it’s the best thing ever.
“I do think having a separate house has also made our relationship stronger, because you’re not in each other’s face all the time.
“I still need my own space sometimes, to have my friends over and have a little chill. And Faryal can do the same.”

Khan has before featured on I’m A Celebrity, Countdown, Beat The Star and Celebrity Juice.
Tyson Fury, 32, and wife Paris starred in a hit ITV documentary series about their life living in Morecambe.

Eddie Hearn questions Tyson Fury’s hunger ahead of Deontay Wilder trilogy and warns American is ‘dangerous’

EDDIE HEARN has questioned Tyson Fury’s hunger ahead of the third and final fight of his Deontay Wilder trilogy.
The promoter revealed he expects the Gypsy King, 32, to “school” the 34-year-old Bronze Bomber.

Hearn fears Fury has nothing left to prove against WilderCredit: Getty Images – Getty
But having already beaten Wilder to become the WBC champion in February, Hearn is unsure of Fury’s motivation.
Hearn told William Hill: “I think Fury has got to be a huge favourite, he’s beaten him twice already, really.
“But Wilder is dangerous and you never know a fighter’s mindset when they achieve what Tyson has [and] with a load of money in the bank.
“How much does that hunger [in Fury] still exist?

“You can bet your life the hunger will be there for Deontay Wilder.
“But Tyson Fury is a big favourite in that fight… he’s schooled him twice and I expect him to do so a third time.”

Fury first fought Wilder in December 2018 with the fight ending in a controversial draw – with many feeling Fury had won the bout.
The Morecambe boxer then went on to fight Wilder again in February – being crowned the WBC heavyweight champion after stopping the American in the seventh round.

Fury and Wilder have a contracted third fight but the negotiations and fight date have been halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dillian Whyte, who lost his chance of taking on the winner of Fury vs Wilder after being KO’d by Alexander Povetkin last weekend, also reckons Fury will beat Wilder with ease.

Whyte said: “I think Fury is going to win again.
“He’s beaten him twice already and I think he’s going to win again. I think it will be easier this time around.
“Obviously, he out-boxed him last time and he knocked him out this time, so what is Wilder going to bring?
“He can’t say ‘my punch power, my punch power’ anymore, no. He’s been dominated.

Tyson Fury’s dad John warned him before first Wilder bout he’d ‘never speak to him again’ if he fought Bronze Bomber

TYSON FURY has revealed how his father threatened to never speak to him again if he agreed to fight Deontay Wilder the first time.
The Gypsy King demolished the Bronze Bomber back in February with a stunning display to win the WBC heavyweight world title.

That capped a remarkable recovery for the Morecambe-based fighter after he had battled back from severe depression.
It was in November 2015 that he first stunned the boxing world with a points victory over unified champ Wladimir Klitschko.
However a planned rematch was cancelled after Fury’s mental health issues began, leading to drug problems and a rapid rise in body weight.
Fury appeared at a press conference for the return fight horrendously out of shape and had his titles stripped before he could defend them.

After a long road to recovery and shedding over 10st following a three-year absence from the ring, he eventually returned to beat Albanian veteran Sefer Seferi in June 2018.
Francesco Pianeta was quickly brushed aside before Fury’s rapid re-elevation took him to a title clash against Wilder that December.
Fury bravely climbed off the mat in the final round of their dramatic draw in Los Angeles after appearing to be KOed by the American.
And it was a fight his dad John never wanted him to take so soon after his boxing comeback.

In a video released by Xperience VIP that was shared onto the boxer’s Twitter, his father explained how he vowed not to talk to his son if he accepted the Wilder challenge.
John says: “If you do that I’ll never speak to you as long as I live because you will get hurt.
“You’ve just lost 10st in as many months, you’re not ring fit at all son.
“I said ‘leave it, you’ve had a couple of warm-up fights, your strength ain’t there, you cannot knock a hole in a wet paper bag. Where’s your sense?’
“He said: ‘Dad, I’m a fighting man and if I get beat I get beat. I’m going to do what Joshua is frightened to do and step in the ring.
“‘If he beats me he beats me, the best man will win.’”

“He was out, cold out… divine intervention I tell you.”
After the draw, Fury continued his rise back to the top with a second round TKO win over Tom Schwarz before he was left a bloody mess during his points victory over Otto Wallin in Vegas last September.
But that failed to stop him from completing a remarkable return as he went on to beat Wilder six months ago with the pair still waiting to decide on a date for a trilogy fight. More

Anthony Joshua tells Tyson Fury he’ll ‘break his head’ within six rounds but respects rival as a ‘good family man’

ANTHONY JOSHUA warned Tyson Fury he wants to “break his head” within six rounds – but respects him for being “a good family man”.
The heavyweight champions have verbally agreed to a two-fight deal in 2021, with the war of words already underway.

Joshua hailed his rival Fury for being a ‘good family man’
And with AJ’s dream of becoming undisputed champion on the line, he paid respect to Fury – but will take no prisoners after the first bell.
Joshua said on Sky Sports ‘A League of Their Own’: “I have a lot of respect for the man, he’s a good family man and a good fighter, but on the other hand, I want to break his head.”
Joshua, 30, and Fury, 32, have a clear path to face each other should they both win their next fights.
AJ defends his unified titles against Kubrat Pulev, 39, set for December, while Fury faces Deontay Wilder, 34, in an immediate rematch having dethroned the American in February.

Dillian Whyte, 32, has also momentarily been frozen out of the title picture after his shock loss to Alexander Povetkin, 40.
Whyte saw his WBC mandatory position go up in smoke having been knocked out, and will need to win back the chance to face Fury in a rematch against the Russian.
The shock defeat leaves the Gypsy King free to unify against Joshua next year.
But AJ is adamant he will do what Wilder failed to do and “take him out” – handing Fury the first loss of his career.
