Tyson Fury tells Anthony Joshua to ‘grow a pair’ and agree December unification showdown if Deontay Wilder fight is KO’d

TYSON FURY has told Anthony Joshua to “grow a pair” and set up an all-British world heavyweight unification fight in December if his Deontay Wilder rematch is KO’d.
Fury delivered the brutal blow after watching Daniel Dubois’ second-round takedown of Dutchman Ricardo Snijders.

Boxing fans, both at home and abroad, are eager for Fury and AJ to step in the ring together.
But both men have other commitments first, with Fury in line for a third fight against Deontay Wilder on December 19 and Joshua taking on mandatory IBF challenger Kubrat Pulev.
However, AJ is yet to set a date for his bout after it was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

And Fury’s Wilder rematch is also uncertain due to current quarantine restrictions and spectators unable to attend live boxing events.

But with Fury and AJ both based in Britain, there would be few problems for the pair if they set up a clash.
And The Gypsy King has now called on his rival to “grow a pair” and thrash out an arrangement should their current commitments fall through.
Fury said on BT Sport: “If Wilder doesn’t happen, let’s do Joshua in December. Let’s get it on. I’m ready to go now, I’d have fought him in that ring tonight.

    4

“I’d still kick his a***, any time of the day. Hopefully they grow a pair and want to fight the Gypsy King.

“If I was in their position, I’d have had my chance at glory to go to America and fight Wilder.
“But they didn’t take it and I had to come out of retirement set about him a couple of times – take the No1 spot, take all the glory.
“He must be sitting down thinking ‘that could have been me’. But it wasn’t. It’s their own fault.

Daniel Dubois KO’s Ricardo Snijders in front of Tyson Fury to continue meteoric rise

DYNAMITE Daniel Dubois blasted away eight months of cobwebs with the 15th win of his firecracker career last night.
The 22-year-old heavyweight British champion has an all-London October 24 defence against Joe Joyce booked, so needed a keep-warm bout against Dutchman Ricardo Snijders.

And Peacock Gym-prodigy Dubois scored four knockdowns inside two rounds to demolish the 18-1 visitor who will return to the Netherlands vowing to never fight DDD again.
After eight miserable months out of the ring for the young workaholic, the ruthless 17st powerhouse smothered his sacrificial lamb in mint sauce and devoured him.
Dubois dropped his man three times at the end of the first round, the first was as clean as a whistle, following a string of piston-like jabs and a brutal left hook to the body.

The two later deckings of the stanza seemed to the fallout, after no obvious punches dropped the innocent victim.

And, as soon as the second round started, 26-year-old Snijders was crumpled again by the South London steam train and the one-sided bout was waved off.
The Greenwich mean machine said: “I am just getting warmed up. Next time I will have a proper fighter in Joe Joyce and that will make for an even better fight.

“I needed that fight, any fight, I had to get the rust off and I enjoyed it.
“I will do the same thing to Joe, in even better fashion actually. I need a step-up toward a world title.”

Moments before the contest, ex-world champ and pundit David Haye told viewers to watch out for DDD’s jab before ringside heavyweight ruler Tyson Fury sang his praises.

Mayweather still in incredible shape aged 43 more than three years since his last boxing fight against Conor McGregor

FLOYD MAYWEATHER showed he is still in terrific shape aged 43 – more than three years since his boxing battle against Conor McGregor.
The American fighter, who boasts a perfect 50-0 record, posted a shirtless picture to Instagram proving he remains in tip-top shape.

    2

Floyd Mayweather still looks to be in top shape three years after fighting Conor McGregor
Mayweather’s snap comes three years after he beat recently-retired UFC icon McGregor in a crossover boxing match.
Mayweather eased to victory with a 10th round KO in the box office smash hit.
And a rumoured money-spinning rematch has long been on the cards for the global superstars.
Indeed, McGregor fuelled speculation further by goading Mayweather online to mark the third anniversary of their spellbinding bout.

    2

The Irishman wrote: “Three years ago today I carried Floyd for his final boxing match.
“Wow time flies when you’re stacking cheddar. Happy retirement champ.”
Mayweather revealed he was keen for another fight after McGregor stepped back from the UFC in June, saying: “If I’m not mistaken, didn’t you tell Mike Tyson you could beat me if we fought a second time?
“Now you’re quitting! I thought you wanted to beat the best? Well, if you decide to come back, I will be waiting to punish you again.”

But McGregor is confident he would beat Mayweather the second time around, explaining in January: “I know I beat Floyd, I’d beat Floyd if we rematched, when we rematch.

“He’s not gonna do a mixed martial arts bout like he said. It was supposed to be me boxing, and then we’ll do a mixed martial arts bout.
“That was what was said, and it came out of his mouth as well, and it was not written but it was a verbal agreement.
“And obviously, that’s not gonna happen. I’m not going to push him on that either.
“But I would like to box him. I think that would be a good rematch.”
However, UFC chief Dana White, now working with Mayweather, can’t see a fight being organised any time soon following McGregor’s MMA retirement.

Tyson Fury’s dad John warned him ahead of first Wilder fight he’d ‘never speak to him again’ if he faced Bronze Bomber

TYSON FURY has revealed his father threatened to never speak to him again if he agreed to fight Deontay Wilder the first time.
The Gypsy King demolished the Bronze Bomber back in February with an incredible display to win the WBC heavyweight world title.

The Bronze Bomber knocked down the Gypsy King in the 12th round before the Englishman’s stunning comebackCredit: Action Images
That capped a remarkable recovery for the Morecambe-based fighter after he had battled back from severe depression.
It was in November 2015 that he first stunned the boxing world with a points victory over unified champ Wladimir Klitschko.
However a planned rematch was cancelled after Fury’s mental health issues began, leading to drug problems and a rapid rise in body weight.
Fury appeared at a press conference for the return fight horrendously out of shape and had his titles stripped before he could defend them.

After a long road to recovery and shedding over 10st following a three-year absence from the ring, he eventually returned to beat Albanian veteran Sefer Seferi in June 2018.
Francesco Pianeta was quickly brushed aside before Fury’s rapid re-elevation took him to a title clash against Wilder that December.
Fury bravely climbed off the mat in the final round of their dramatic draw in Los Angeles after appearing to be KOed by the American.
And it was a fight his dad John never wanted him to take so soon after his boxing comeback.

In a video released by Xperience VIP that was shared onto the boxer’s Twitter, his father explained how he vowed not to talk to his son if he accepted the Wilder challenge.
John says: “If you do that I’ll never speak to you as long as I live because you will get hurt.
“You’ve just lost 10st in as many months, you’re not ring fit at all son.
“I said ‘leave it, you’ve had a couple of warm-up fights, your strength ain’t there, you cannot knock a hole in a wet paper bag. Where’s your sense?’
“He said: ‘Dad, I’m a fighting man and if I get beat I get beat. I’m going to do what Joshua is frightened to do and step in the ring.
“‘If he beats me he beats me, the best man will win.’”

John adds:“It went from there and the rest is history. And it was the best comeback of all-time – who gets up in the 12th round like that?
“He was out, cold out… divine intervention I tell you.”
After the draw, Fury continued his rise back to the top with a second round TKO win over Tom Schwarz before he was left a bloody mess during his points victory over Otto Wallin in Vegas last September.
But that failed to stop him from completing a remarkable return as he went on to beat Wilder six months ago with the pair still waiting to decide on a date for a trilogy fight. More

Daniel Dubois delighted Tyson Fury compared him to Ivan Drago.. even if he doesn’t know who fictional Rocky character is

DANIEL DUBOIS has shared his delight after Tyson Fury compared him to Ivan Drago – even though he doesn’t know who the fictional Rocky character is.
The Gypsy King, 32, recently piled praise on the young British boxer, comparing him to the hard-hitting Russian from 1985 film Rocky IV.

Fury had told BT Sport: “Daniel Dubois. He’s a big, strong lad and whatever he hits falls.
“He’s a big like Ivan Drago, isn’t he? ‘I will hit you and break you, no matter what happens’.”
Responding to the comparison, Dubois revealed while he has no idea who Drago is, he’s just happy to receive praise from someone like Fury.
Dubois, 22, told The Mirror: “I don’t know who Ivan Drago is.

“But it’s nice when someone like Tyson Fury praises you.
“He’s at the top of the tree, the No1 in the division, so that’s good.
    “He’s someone I like as a fighter.”

    ‘CONFIDENCE BOOST’
Dubois continued by saying Fury has impressed him thanks to his ability to “win fights any way”, while saying it’s a “confidence boost” to be praised by the WBC heavyweight champion.

He added: “He beat Wladimir Klitschko to become world champion the first time and then he beat Deontay Wilder to do it again.
“It was the way he beat Wilder the second time and he beat him at his own game. He showed he can win fights any way.
“It doesn’t boost me, though. I don’t need people to say nice things about me to boost my confidence.
“I’m confident in my ability and what I can achieve if I continue to work hard and listen to those around me.”
Meanwhile, Dubois has tipped Fury to beat Anthony Joshua – having sparred both heavyweight champions.
Dubois told SPORTbible: “[I’d pick] Fury at the moment.

Tyson Fury’s dad says he’s willing to DIE in a fight against Mike Tyson as 54-year-old legend makes return

TYSON FURY’S dad John says he is willing to DIE in a fight with Mike Tyson.
Iron Mike, 54, has been back in the gym and is gearing up to fight Roy Jones Jr on September 12. But 56-year-old Fury Snr wants to challenge the former heavyweight champ too.

    1

Tyson Fury’s dad John has called out Mike Tyson and said he is willing to DIE in the fight
Speaking directly to the camera in a passionate online video, Fury Snr said: “I’m looking at fighting Mike Tyson, how’s that?
    “Mike’s making a comeback.
“I don’t value my life to 50 pence but let me tell you something, Mike Tyson is worth doing charity with.
“He’s a proper king and a champion. He’s a proper man, tried and tested.”

Fury Snr has been a long time admirer of Iron Mike and even named his son Tyson after the Baddest Man on the Planet.
And the 6ft 3in Galway born man had a pro fighting career of his own – fighting 13 professional bouts.
He also fought bare-knuckle fighting and claims he won £100,000 in one bout.

Fury Snr also served four years of an 11-year sentence for gouging a man’s eye out in a sickening attack.

He continued: “I’ll fight Mike Tyson, I know he mentions my boy’s name every five minutes so here I am.
“John Fury is hiding from no man, not even the king of all men.
“Mike Tyson, I will fight Mike Tyson.
“Hear that then, I will not be denied, I will die in a fight.
“I am as game as an American Yankee c*** and I will die before I give in.”
