Tyson Fury fight with WWE champ Drew McIntyre would break box office records as chief Triple H urges boxer to ring him

TYSON FURY’S fight with WWE champion Drew McIntyre has been tipped to break box office records as Triple H urged the Gypsy King to call him.
The heavyweight duo were first linked with a mega wrestling showdown after McIntyre became WWE king in April.

Scot McIntyre, 35, defeated Brock Lesnar to claim the crown.
And he soon called out Fury for a ‘Battle of Britain’ showdown.
Fury, 32, is no stranger to wrestling having made a high-profile cameo when he beat Braun Strowman at the WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia last October.
Then at the weekend the WBC belt holder Fury released a video on social media calling out McIntyre for that fight.

Another post on Tuesday followed and suddenly the possibility of Fury stepping back into wrestling was another step closer – before or after his trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder.
So after Fury’s Twitter posts, Triple H told Fury it was simple – if he wanted to fight he just needs to give WWE’s executive vice president a call.
Triple H said: “We could make Drew McIntyre v Tyson Fury work out, Tyson has got my number – we will make a call.
“Tyson Fury is one of those fighters that sometimes now finds himself in a position where, does Anthony Joshua want to fight him?

“Does Deontay Wilder want the rematch? Because he has proven to be maybe next-level from everybody.

Fury drew in huge numbers for his WWE win over Strowman last year.
And it also earned the 6ft 9ins giant a whopping £11.9million.
Asked what Fury adds to wrestling, Triple H continued: “He brings different eyeballs in.
“When someone like Tyson Fury comes in, he brings a sport aspect to this, he brings a boxing world championship and a popularity in something totally different that helps eyeballs across the board.
“We gave him a platform to be the entertainer that he was born to be, sometimes he has that in boxing but the platform at that level for the entertainment pieces isn’t as big.
“It is a win-win for both, Tyson is one of the most professional people I have ever worked with across the board – I spent a lot of time with him a few years ago and I would love to have him back.”

Inside Russia’s brutal and bloody bareknuckle boxing world as fighters put their lives on the line for just £10,000

RUSSIA’S brutal and bloody bareknuckle boxing is the ultimate high risk, low reward sport.
The brave, or totally bonkers, fighters put their bodies on the line to be crowned champion – and win a relatively paltry £10,000 in prize money.

The Hardcore Fighting Championships is underway and is Russia’s first professional bareknuckle fighting league.
And with the round-of-16 stage taking place on Monday, it was a graphic affair inside the ring.
Fighters only have thin wraps around their wrists with no protection, meaning hands and faces are often barely recognisable by the end of a bout.
To make matters even more bizarre, the cage is located on board a huge cargo ship docked in Moscow.

Small crowds ignored any Covid fears on Monday to watch the 16 remaining fighters battle it out for a spot in the quarter-finals – and ultimately for the one million roubles prize.
The event attracts plenty of professional fighters while millions of fans watch on at home.
Big names include Zelemkhan “Machine Gunner” Dukaev, Yevgeny “Sailor” Kurdanov and Firuz “Sympathetic” Yusupov.

With its roots in the ancient empires of Greece and Rome, bare-knuckle boxing has never been illegal in the UK but has no official regulator and is not governed by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC).
It is now enjoying a resurgence in the UK with events attracting up to 800 fans and tickets costing close to £100.
Organisers claimed to SunSport it is actually safer than regular boxing.

Meanwhile, Shaun Smith runs Smithy’s Gym in Warrington alongside wife Amanda and told LADbible: “For me, it’s the ultimate test of your manhood.
“You won’t get anything more raw than having a fight with your bare fists.
“Something’s going to get broken, something’s going to bleed. These men are going into it knowing that this isn’t a case of it might happen. It definitely will happen.
“It’s the most extreme sport you can do.
“Professional boxing is good. MMA is good. Muay Thai is good. They’re all extreme, hard sports, but bare-knuckle boxing has just got that extra venom.”

Mike Tyson, 54, trains with WWE legend Kurt Angle as he looks explosive on the pads ahead of Roy Jones Jr fight

MIKE TYSON trained with WWE legend Kurt Angle in preparation for his boxing comeback.
The 54-year-old will fight for the first time in 15 years when he faces Roy Jones Jr, 51, in an eight-round exhibition bout in November.

Mike Tyson trained with WWE legend Kurt Angle in preparation for his boxing comeback
Tyson has been training since March for his return, under the guidance of MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro.
But the Reformed Baddest Man on The Planet called in the help of retried former UFC champion Henry Cejudo, 33, and pro wrestler Angle, 51.
Angle shared a picture of all three on Instagram, and wrote: “#SmartCups Ambassadors @henry_cejudo @miketyson and yours’ truly, at a training session today.”
Further footage shared online by pad man Cordeiro revealed Tyson’s intense training session as he fired off quick combinations and explosive footwork.

His pay-per-view return faced the axe after it was moved by two months having previously been set for September.
Jones threatened to pull out unless he was compensated for the extra weeks added, having argued it affected his business outside of the ring.
But the American former four-division champion confirmed he will he WILL fight heavyweight legend Tyson after coming to terms over the rescheduling.

Tyson Fury calls out champ Drew McIntyre as he eyes WWE return and Anthony Joshua mega-fight

TYSON FURY could stun boxing again by leaping over to wrestling and becoming WWE world champ.
Britain’s 6ft 9in WBC heavyweight king is getting itchy knuckles waiting for a trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder as coronavirus blocks crowds and complicates travel.

    2

Fury, 32, has not stopped training since his sensational February Las Vegas win over the Bronze Bomber and insists he needs a fight of any kind to keep his mind healthy.
Fury wrestled for the American grappling firm, previously known as WWF, in Saudi Arabia last year when he was letting a cut heal before battering Wilder.
But now he is in a social-media war of words with champ Drew McIntyre of Scotland and rumours of an all UK-clash for the top belt are growing, especially as both showmen star exclusively on BT Sport.
Fury said: “I am a gym junkie, I need to fight and I want to work.

“I have been training non-stop and I am ready for a fight — any fight — anywhere.
“If Wilder cannot do the rematch then who knows who I’ll fight.

Fury hit the headlines again last night as he once again called out Anthony Joshua telling him to: “Grow a pair.”
He delivered the brutal blow after watching Daniel Dubois’ second-round takedown of Dutchman Ricardo Snijders.
Boxing fans, both at home and abroad, are eager for Fury and AJ to step in the ring together.
But both men have other commitments first, with Fury’s Wilder clash and Joshua taking on mandatory IBF challenger Kubrat Pulev.
However, AJ is yet to set a date for his bout after it was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Fury said on BT Sport: “If Wilder doesn’t happen, let’s do Joshua in December. Let’s get it on. I’m ready to go now, I’d have fought him in that ring tonight.
“I’d still kick his a***, any time of the day. Hopefully they grow a pair and want to fight the Gypsy King.
“If I was in their position, I’d have had my chance at glory to go to America and fight Wilder.
“But they didn’t take it and I had to come out of retirement set about him a couple of times – take the No1 spot, take all the glory.
“He must be sitting down thinking ‘that could have been me’. But it wasn’t. It’s their own fault.

“Grow a pair, come see the champ, and I’ll sort you all out. I’m just waiting here patiently.
“No fights on the horizon, training like a lunatic, running up mountains, I’ve become a human racehorse.
“I’m looking forward to all challenges, whatever they are bring them to the Gypsy King and I’ll deal with them, in exciting fashion.”

Tyson Fury’s dad John says he is willing to DIE in a fight with Mike Tyson as 54-year-old legend makes return

TYSON FURY’S dad John says he’s willing to DIE in a fight with Mike Tyson.
Iron Mike, 54, has been back in the gym and is preparing to fight Roy Jones Jr on September 12. But 56-year-old Fury Snr wants to challenge the former heavyweight champ too.

    1

Tyson Fury’s dad John has called out Mike Tyson and said he is willing to DIE in the fight
Speaking directly to the camera in a passionate online video, Fury Snr said: “I’m looking at fighting Mike Tyson, how’s that?
    “Mike’s making a comeback.
“I don’t value my life to 50 pence but let me tell you something, Mike Tyson is worth doing charity with.
“He’s a proper king and a champion. He’s a proper man, tried and tested.”

Fury Snr has been a long time admirer of Iron Mike and even named his son Tyson after the Baddest Man on the Planet.
And the 6ft 3in Galway born man had a pro fighting career of his own – fighting 13 professional bouts.
He also fought bare-knuckle fighting and claims he won £100,000 in one bout.

Fury Snr also served four years of an 11-year sentence for gouging a man’s eye out in a sickening attack.

He continued: “I’ll fight Mike Tyson, I know he mentions my boy’s name every five minutes so here I am.
“John Fury is hiding from no man, not even the king of all men.
“Mike Tyson, I will fight Mike Tyson.
“Hear that then, I will not be denied, I will die in a fight.
“I am as game as an American Yankee c*** and I will die before I give in.”
