Tyson Fury reveals he has NO intentions of retiring and laughs off Anthony Joshua, insisting ‘nobody can touch me’

TYSON FURY has dismissed any talk of retiring and reiterated his desire to fight Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua.
The WBC heavyweight champion stated in March that he will call it a day after those two bouts.

But he has now hinted that he will stick around and plans to ‘clean up the division’.
A third bout against the Bronze Bomber is still the 32-year-old’s priority, with Fury mocking the American over the weekend with a ‘you big dosser’ face mask.
Speaking to ESPN’s Max Kellerman, Fury said: “I have as long in this game as I want, there’s nothing out there that can touch me.
“We’ve already seen the most dangerous heavyweight, Wilder, get taken to school once and then brutally knocked out.

“I’ve always said if I can get past Deontay Wilder then it’ll be a long time before there’s anybody else who can come close.
“Wilder’s always been the most dangerous opponent in the division for me, other than Wladimir Klitschko himself.
“The rest of those guys, I’m not too concerned about.”
Fury was then asked whether he feels it is important to wipe out the division before he considers hanging up his gloves.

He added: “The only thing I’m concentrating on right now is fighting Deontay Wilder for a third time and being victorious in that fight because I never look past any opponent, and especially not one as dangerous as Deontay Wilder.

“So the answer to the question is yes, I must fight Deontay Wilder again, I must fight Joshua. I must fight them all.
“You know, as long as I want to continue, as long as I’m healthy and I’m still alive then I’ll keep boxing and clean up.”

Floyd Mayweather’s uncle and former partner passing away made him ‘more focussed on boxing’ amid comeback talks

FLOYD MAYWEATHER became ‘more focussed on boxing’ again after the death of his uncle and former partner.
Mayweather suffered double tragedy in March after Josie Harris, mother to three of his children, died aged 40.

Floyd Mayweather shared a photograph of himself Josie Harris
Just a week later his uncle and former trainer Roger passed away at the age of 58.
Around the time Mayweather had been training, having announced plans to come out of retirement in 2020.
And according to Denis Douglin, a sparring partner of Mayweather’s, the 43-year-old legend was inspired to commit to training again.
Douglin told Vegas Insider: “The last time we sparred was probably three years ago for his exhibition match in Asia.

“I kind of felt like he was slowing down a little bit.
“This time he felt sharp. He felt strong and his stamina was great.
“It was almost like he’s getting better.
“Everything that he’s going through in his life is making him more focused on boxing.”

Mayweather last November revealed he was in talks with UFC boss Dana White to make another comeback.
He has not boxed professionally since 2017, after he beat ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor.
White had confirmed Mayweather still plans to fight again.
And southpaw Douglas believes the retired legend could be using him to prepare for the possibility of rematching left-hander McGregor.

He explained: “I think he’s going to fight UFC guys.
“It’s actually quite interesting because I’m left-handed and McGregor and Khabib are both left-handed.
“So him choosing to spar me, that might be the reason why.
“That’s something someone said to me the other day and I was like, ‘you know what, that makes sense’, so it’s very possible.
“The McGregor fight generated so much money, why not do something like that again or fight another UFC fighter if he’s making millions of dollars?”

Mayweather insisted he would not come back to fight any active world champions – despite Douglas tipping him to be able to compete with the current best.
He said: “I think he could still hang with the top guys
“There’s no reason to try because he’s already proven himself. But if he wanted to, he could still do it.
“With Errol Spence at his best, Floyd can still compete with him 100 percent. He could.” More

Anthony Joshua spotted on nights out with estranged wife of Man City star Riyad Mahrez

BOXER Anthony Joshua has been spotted on nights out with the estranged wife of Man City ace Riyad Mahrez, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.
Heavyweight champion Joshua, 30, and 26-year-old Rita have been seen together twice in the past few weeks at a shisha bar and also at a party at a mutual pal’s pad.

They first met last December when Joshua invited Rita to join him and pals at their table in a VIP section of the Tape nightclub in London’s Mayfair. Joshua is said to have “backed away” when he realised she was footballer Riyad’s missus.
Recently, Joshua and Rita have been seen with friends at The Hart Lounge shisha bar in Southgate, North London.
And last night a source said: “Rita’s mad keen on AJ. She thinks they can be a couple.
“She’s in touch with him via his circle of friends and loves going out with them, although she really only has eyes for AJ.

“She’s been telling people about him, although he has held her at arm’s length.”
Another source said: “AJ has been on nights out where Rita is there. He’s ultra-cautious about her. He fears she’s targeted him for publicity as she’s trying to launch a music career.”
Rita, living in a £2million mansion in Buckinghamshire, separated from Algerian star Riyad, 29, with whom she has two children, last year.
Watford-born Joshua is single. He split from dancer Nicole Osbourne in 2016 and they have a son, JJ, four.

He told The Sun in May that finding love now would be tricky as it would mean having to change his ways.
He said: “I don’t know how easy that would be.”
A spokesman for Joshua said: “Anthony doesn’t personally know Mrs Mahrez and has no wish to, now or in future. He’s disappointed that she or people around her have tried to use his name to generate publicity.”

Tyson Fury mocks Deontay Wilder with ‘you big dosser’ coronavirus face mask amid claims of injury in sparring

TYSON FURY mocked Deontay Wilder with a ‘you big dosser’ coronavirus face mask ahead of their trilogy bout.
The Gypsy King, 31, who dethroned Wilder, 34, of the WBC title, is signed to face the American for a third time.

Tyson Fury mocked Deontay Wilder with ‘you big dosser’ coronavirusface masks ahead of their trilogy bout
And ahead of their immediate rematch, Fury revealed face masks made to goad Wilder.
He said: “I got the new Deontay Wilder face masks ready for anyone that wants one.
“They are available, you can buy them at Deontay Wilder’s website.”
The jibe comes as Wilder’s sparring partner Junior Fa claimed the beaten ex-champion suffered an injury before his first career loss.

Fa, 30, told Sky Sports: “I was very shocked [by the Wilder defeat]. The lead up and the training was actually really good and Deontay was looking great.
“I think he did hurt himself towards the end of camp, which I don’t think would have played too much into the fight, but then I don’t really know the extent of the damage of the injury that he sustained.”
Asked about the specifics of Wilder’s injury, New Zealander Fa added: “Yes, the bicep injury.
“I don’t know the extent of the damage, but he did hurt it, yeah.

Deontay Wilder suffered bicep injury BEFORE defeat to WBC champ Tyson Fury, claims sparring partner

DEONTAY WILDER suffered his bicep injury before his defeat to Tyson Fury, his sparring partner claims.
The Bronze Bomber was hindered by the arm problem during his rematch with the Gypsy King in February.

Fury took full advantage as he battered the previously-unbeaten WBC heavyweight king, sensationally stopping him in the seventh round.
Wilder – also hindered by his ridiculous £31,000 ring-walk costume – underwent secret surgery on the troublesome bicep after the fight.
But Junior Fa, who was part of the American’s training camp, revealed the injury was sustained before the Las Vegas showdown.
The New Zealander told Sky Sports: “I was very shocked [by the Wilder defeat]. The lead up and the training was actually really good and Deontay was looking great.

“I think he did hurt himself towards the end of camp, which I don’t think would have played too much into the fight, but then I don’t really know the extent of the damage of the injury that he sustained.”
Asked about the specifics of Wilder’s injury, the 19-0 Fa added: “Yes, the bicep injury. I don’t know the extent of the damage, but he did hurt it, yeah.
“What I do know [is] that he did get injured, but I was very surprised by Fury’s game plan.

WBO Oriental interim heavyweight holder Fa, 30, is hoping to secure a bout with compatriot and former WBO champ Joseph Parker in the coming months.
But the 2011 Commonwealth bronze medalist has also sparred with Anthony Joshua on multiple occasions – albeit during AJ’s amateur days and prior to his 2012 Olympic glory.
Fa admitted both Joshua and Wilder have terrifying power, but the Bronze Bomber just edges it.
He said: “I sparred AJ before we knew how good he was, so back in 2011 just after the Commonwealth Games.
“Good timing, good power. Very, very good power. He’s very, very focused and very dedicated to the sport.

“From what I can remember, from AJ in terms of comparing power, I would say definitely Deontay Wilder is the biggest puncher.
“It’s just a different type of power. I can’t really explain it.
“I know AJ has got serious heavy hands and they’ve got a bit of a snap to it too, but Wilder, I don’t know man, he’s just got a punch that dazes you straight away.”

Pacquiao urged to better Mayweather and become ‘best boxer of all time’ by beating UFC star McGregor in quicker time

MANNY PACQUIAO has been urged to better Floyd Mayweather’s win over UFC star Conor McGregor.
Mayweather – who beat Pacquiao in 2015 – stopped McGregor after ten rounds in 2017.

It proved to be his last professional fight, but former UFC champion McGregor previously announced plans to box again.
Pacquiao went on to sign for Paradigm Sports – who also work with The Notorious – fuelling speculation of another crossover mega-fight.
And PacMan’s assistant Jayke Joson feels it would give the Filipino the chance to surpass Mayweather by beating McGregor in quicker fashion.
Joson told Manilla Times: “The result of the fight will give us the answer to the question who is the best boxer of all time.

“And who’s the better boxer, Mayweather, who won after 10 rounds or Senator MP?
“That’s why everybody wants to see Pacquiao versus McGregor to compare it to the Mayweather versus McGregor fight.”
McGregor last fought in January, beating 36-year-old Donald Cerrone, but revealed before the fight that he was offered the chance to face Pacquiao.
The Irishman since announced his retirement, but continued to tease a comeback to the ring against PacMan.

Fury in the sauna, Wilder getting ‘KO’d’ and 20 rounds with Joshua – inside Klitschko’s amazing but brutal training camp

THE SECRETS and stories of Wladimir Klitschko’s intense training regime have been revealed by those who were there to witness it all.
Years of heavyweight domination were moulded in the Austrian alps where Klitschko trained during his reign as world champion.

Anthony Joshua, 30, Tyson Fury, 32, Deontay Wilder, 34, and Dillian Whyte, 32, were among those to work alongside the Ukrainian legend.
Sky Sports pulled back the curtain and spoke to those who experienced first hand the tales of Klitschko’s camps from heated sparring sessions to gruelling sauna sittings.
Klitschko, now 44, retired after losing a thrilling 11-round battle against Joshua in 2017.
But the pair had sparred up to 20 rounds before the night the heavyweight torch was passed.

    NO JOSHING
Joshua said: “Sparring, for me, I would rather they hit me so I can learn to defend.
“Everyone knows how to throw a punch. I was learning how defend. It was just sparring, I wasn’t trying to prove anything.”
Klitschko revealed: “We did plenty of rounds, about 20.
“I was going through a lot of rounds, about 115 rounds in that camp. Definitely you could feel his athleticism. He’s very athletic.

“We were pretty competitive. We respect each other, but both competitive. There was no dominance from either of us. It was pretty equal.”

Chelsea fans hail transfer guru as Hazard sale rakes in £143m from Real

Fury, two years prior, had upset Klitschko in Germany to seal a famous points win on away soil, crowning a new unified champion.
The Gypsy King had already amassed a great amount of knowledge on his future opponent, having struck up a close relationship with Klitschko’s trainer Emanuel Steward.
Steward – who died in 2012 – had invited a young Fury to train alongside the Ukrainian, which led to an infamous sauna story involving the boxers.
    SPAR TREATEMENT
Fury recalled the incident before facing Klitschko as they both appeared on Sky Sports’ ‘Behind the Gloves’ segment.
He said: “We’re in the sauna, about ten guys in the sauna. And it came down to me and Wlad in the sauna.
“Do you remember this Wladimir, at all?
“It gets down to him and I’m over the other side. I’ve only had 12 or 13 fights, but still, in my mind I was mentally in a competition with him.
“He can say what he wants, he can deny it, whatever. I was prepared to die in that sauna before I got out. I stayed in for like 40 minutes.
“He got out first. I thought, ‘Mental victory.'”
Fury went on to lose the WBA, IBF and WBO belts he won out of the ring, following a battle with substance abuse and depression.
But five years later he completed a momentous comeback story, dethroning Wilder of the WBC crown last February.

    WILD KNOCKOUT?
The Bronze Bomber was too a sparring partner of Klitschko.
And according to eye-witness Whyte, Wilder was left unconscious after a spar.
He recalled: “I’ve seen him getting knocked out. Wladimir knocked him out.
“He knew what happened. He had his hands up. He was roughing Wlad up, bringing the smoke, and he was going wild.
“Wlad backs up, changes his footwork, feinting, feinting, jabs to the body, throws that feint jab, left hook. Wilder had his hands up, he was gone.
“It wasn’t no knock down, he was knocked cold. Properly twitching as well.”

    9

Deontay Wilder was accused of being knocked out by Klitschko Credit: Twitter @BronzeBomber
The story had been circling for a few years and in 2017, Wilder was quick to deny the claim.
He said: “I was only in the Klitschko camp one time and I held my own very well with everybody.
“All of a sudden this mysterious untold story of me and Klitschko and he knocked me out. C’mon man. Please, people with b**** tendencies.”
Trainer Johnathon Banks – who took over after Steward’s death – insisted Wilder was not KO’d but did hit the deck.
Banks told ThaBoxingVoice: “Did Deontay Wilder get knocked out cold in sparring by Wladimir? No, that’s the truth it didn’t happen.
“I was in the ring as they were sparring. I didn’t catch that one.
“Did he get dropped? Yes he did.”

Whyte said he and Joshua almost brawled while out sparring in the Klitschko camp
    WHYTE AND AJ CLASH
Whyte’s reveal was not the only time he ruffled feathers in the Klitschko camp.
He almost came to blows with Joshua, who he had beaten in the amateurs in 2009, which came six years before AJ won the rematch in the pro ranks.
Whyte explained: “I wanted to punch Joshua up, at first, because he was talking a lot of smack.
“There was genuine annoyance there. Bashir Ali and a couple of guys stopped me getting at him and then it sort of got squashed. It was a bit edgy.”
In the years since Klitschko hung up the gloves, he has hinted at a comeback, but so far seems content in retirement.
He did recently lend his hand to former two-division champion Evander Holyfield, who is preparing his own ring return aged 57, for charity.
And Klitschko has also offered to help countryman Oleksandr Usyk, 33, in sparring to prepare to face 36-year-old Derek Chisora.
