Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul: How two boxing stars compare ahead of incredible fight ‘this year’

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is said to have signed a contract to face YouTuber Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match this year.
Multiple reports in America claim they have it on good authority Mayweather will take on Paul as early as this year.

    2

How Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul compare ahead of their fight

But how do the pair stack up? SunSport takes a look…
    BOXING CAREERS
MAYWEATHER enjoyed an illustrious career in the boxing ring.
The American, 43, boasts an unblemished, unparalleled 50-0 career record – including 27 KOs.
Money has fought the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Canelo Alvarez to name just a few.

On the other hand, 25-year-old Paul has fought just once professionally – against fellow YouTuber KSI.
The American lost to his British opponent.
    PHYSICAL BATTLE

    2

Paul may be bigger than Mayweather but surely he has no chance against Money
WITH over 20 years of experience Mayweather is obviously overwhelming favourite for the fight.
However, Paul does have one advantage – his physical stature.

For his fight against KSI the 6ft 2in star weighed in at a lean, mean 13st 8lb.
Mayweather, meanwhile, tips the scales at around 10st 7lb and is six inches shorter than “The Maverick” at just 5ft 8in.

    FANDEMONIUM
AS one of the most famous boxers on the planet, Mayweather is easily one of the most well-known, well-followed celebrities around.
In fact, the Las Vegas star boasts a staggering 23.7million followers on Instagram.
However, Paul is barely outmuscled by Mayweather on the social front, racking up 18.2m followers on Instagram alone – as well as his whopping YouTube fandom.

    PREDICTION
LET’S be honest, there will be only one winner.
A 50-0 former world champion vs a YouTube sensation with just one pro fight under his belt – a loss, at that.
Mayweather will surely win via KO – with the only question how long it will take him.
The smart money would be on a first-round knockout from Money.
After all, Mayweather battered Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in just 136 seconds in their 2018 exhibition fight.

Inside Floyd Mayweather’s amazing £20m car collection with white vehicles in Las Vegas and same motors in black in LA

FLOYD Mayweather is said to have earned over a $1billion in a boxing career that saw him go undefeated in 50 professional fights.
And although he has been forced to deny he’s broke because of his lavish spending, should he be hard-up there’s always his mega car collection he could sell.

Pretty Boy has amassed his own fleet of dream motors which is said to be worth £20million.
It includes a series of Rolls-Royces worth over a staggering £3million, as well as four Bugatti Veyron supercars that cost £1.7million.
But what’s unique about ‘Money’ Mayweather’s cars is that they mostly come in two colours – white or black – and are divided between his two mansions in LA and Las Vegas.
In Los Angeles they’re black, and in Las Vegas they’re white.

    THE WHITE STUFF
Scanning through 43-year-old Mayweather’s Las Vegas collection in his palatial Nevada abode, you’ll see some wondrous toys.
The most exceptional being the car collector’s favourite, the Bugatti Veyron.
Just like Cristiano Ronaldo, Mayweather is a huge fan of the Italian car maker.
He seemingly owns four – one in white, one in black, and the exceptions to the two-tone rule being in red and silver.

The other vehicles include a Lamborghini Aventador (£275,000), as well as a Ferrari 488 worth around £238,000.

There’s even a classic Porsche 911, but the Bentley Mulsanne – the most expensive Bentley you can buy with a starting price of £238,700 – takes centre stage.
Occasionally, in true Mayweather style, he’ll throw in a wad of notes to show off the interior of his motors in an Instagram post.
And he’ll even park them in front of a private jet, just to show off his impressive range.

    BACK IN BLACK
In LA it’s a similar story.
Living in a plush Beverly Hills mansion, Mayweather has a big garage to fill.
And the former light middleweight couldn’t wait to show us what he had in his bunker.
Astonishingly, we spotted FIVE Rolls-Royces worth over £2million.
There was a classic Phantom, like in his Vegas pad, costing £355,000, a Phantom Drophead Coupe coming in at £367,000, a Dawn valued at £264,000 and a Wraith costing £364,000.
On top of that, a large Cullinan that would’ve set him back around £300,000. There was also another Ferrari 488, as well as a Mercedes Maybach (£172,000).

Joshua Buatsi delighted to be back in the saddle as he targets Anthony Yarde and Callum Johnson

JOSHUA BUATSI will race through the gears on his boxing comeback after 13 months out, with two fellow Brits in his crosshairs.
The 27-year-old light-heavyweight gets back in the saddle on October 4 in a tune-up bout against Marko Calic.

But the two English rivals the cycling nut wants to overtake are Matchroom stablemate Callum Johnson and long-time rival Anthony Yarde.
The competition with 29-year-old Yarde — who boxes on a rival TV network under promoter Frank Warren — is on the backburner until one of the Londoners lands a world title.
But 35-year-old Johnson, who challenged bravely for a world title at the end of 2018, is one Buatsi wheelie fancies.
The Anthony Joshua-managed ace said: “The Callum Johnson fight would be easier to make as we are in the same weight class, promotional team and country.

“Just by being in this sport I think we all make it clear that we want the best fights but there is always more to it sadly.
“I watched the first couple of rounds of Anthony Yarde’s recent fight and then just got on with my evening but it was good he got back to winning ways.
“It’s hard to say if we will fight, we both want to, but the politics can make it difficult.
“I know it is the main fight that people want to see so, if the two promoters can come together and get to an agreement, I am sure us two fighters will take it on.”

When gyms were closed for the Covid-19 lockdown, Buatsi hit the steepest hills in London and Kent to race Team GB heavyweight star Cheavon Clarke on two wheels.
Typically he gave his new hobby 100 per cent and had to be reminded to swap the helmet for a sparring headguard once he could get back to the day job.
Buatsi added: “Boxing is my bread and butter. I am not a professional cyclist and a couple of people reminded me of that so as soon as the gyms reopened I got back to the grind.
“I had fun beating Cheavon in every race but I was happy to get my career back on track.”

Mike Tyson given ‘cease and desist order’ by ex-wife Robin Givens over new biopic movie starring Jamie Foxx

MIKE TYSON’S ex-wife Robin Givens has appointed lawyers and claims she is being defamed ahead of the release of a biopic about the Baddest Man on the Planet.
Actor Jamie Foxx is set to play the controversial boxer in the film about his life.

But lawyers for Ms Givens have demanded Tyson “cease and desist” from contacting her.

The American actress also claims Iron Mike, 54, is defaming her in his podcasts.
Letters from her legal team “demand that Mr Tyson cease and desist from further defaming Ms. Givens, and to put those producing, writing and/or directing the proposed Tyson biopic, and those producing Mr Tyson’s podcast, on notice that they are to refrain from portraying Ms Givens in a false, negative and defamatory light.”
The letter further states: “While [she] has attempted to move on, she still finds herself fighting the abusive, demeaning and false accounts of their relationship by Mr Tyson nearly 35 years later.

“It is time for Mr Tyson to let this marriage be the relic of the past that it is.”
And she has already won a technical KO after producers revealed they would NOT be detailing Tyson’s messy marriage and subsequent divorce in the film.
Ms Givens was Tyson’s first wife.

They were married at the height of his fame in 1988 after he became the youngest ever undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

But it was allegedly a violent marriage which ended in divorce in 1989.
Ms Givens, 55, said to have previously dated Hollywood star Eddie Murphy and basketball legend Michael Jordan, started dating Tyson in 1987.
It was claimed that after her miscarriage in 1988 their marriage fell apart.
Tyson has previously claimed that he caught her in bed with Hollywood icon Brad Pitt as their divorce was still being finalised.
Ms Givens was awarded a $10million divorce settlement but claims she did not receive anything.
She filed a $125m claim for defamation against him before their divorce on Valentine’s Day in 1989.
Ms Givens has previously admitted to being “disturbed” by Tyson’s book detailing their tempestuous marriage.
She was left distressed after reading her ex-partner’s biography “Fire and Fear: The Inside Story of Mike Tyson” released the same year they split.

Amir Khan appointed WBC Middle East boxing council president as Brit tees up post-fight career in politics

AMIR KHAN may have potentially fought for the last time after he was appointed as the president of the newly-formed WBC Middle East Boxing Council.
The 33-year-old – who has been out of action since stopping Billy Dib in July 2019 – has been a long-term advocate of fights in the region.

Amir Khan easily beat Billy Dib in his last fight last year

His bout against Dib took place in Saudi Arabia, and Khan will promote the first card in Islamabad on October 3.
And ahead of the event in Pakistan, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman has created the WBC Middle East Boxing Council – naming Khan as president.
Speaking of his decision, Sulaiman said: “I am confident that under the leadership of champion Amir Khan, the culturally diverse Middle East region will provide a unique platform for the proper development of our sport.
“With time, we hope the Middle East can produce a new batch of WBC champions. There is a lot of undiscovered talent in the region.

“The WBC is particularly eager to develop female boxing and amateur boxing there as well. Champion Amir Khan has already taken the initial steps to develop boxing in Pakistan.”
    GLOVE STORY
Before adding: “I witnessed my dear late father, Jose Sulaiman, the Lifetime President of the WBC, express to Amir his dream of developing boxing in the Middle East.
“My father, son of Lebanese father and Syrian mother, recognised the potential of that region and the need for structured development.

Amir Khan was levels above late stand-in Billy Dib in the one-sided Saudi Arabian affair

Amir Khan coasted to victory over Billy Dib in Jeddah in 2019
“A good foundation which would produce great champions and give back to the community to improve their health and mental and physical well-being.

“I am extremely pleased to be able to say that today we take the first step to make his dream come true.”
Khan hinted at hanging up his gloves earlier this summer as he stated the coronavirus pandemic could force his hand into retiring.

Mike Tyson ‘had to be taught how to throw punch’ claims Hangover director for key scene in hit movie

MIKE TYSON ‘had to be taught how to throw punch’ in the film Hangover, says director Todd Phillips.
Iron Mike made his movie debut in the second of the trilogy of films starring Bradley Cooper back in 2011.

    2

The famous punch from the scene in The Hangover Part II which Mike Tyson kept getting wrong and needed advice from director Todd Phillips

For a key scene he had to dramatically throw a punch – and needed advice from Phillips.
The Baddest Man on the Planet just could not get the dynamics of a ‘proper movie punch’ right.
Previously, Tyson has admitted that he was high on cocaine while his movie scenes for The Hangover Part II were shot.
Iron Mike, who has relaunched his boxing career at 54, will fight Roy Jones Jr on November 28.

Speaking to James Corden on his US chat show, Phillips said Tyson kept getting it wrong as they tried to shoot scenes.
Phillips said: “There’s a particular way to throw a punch in a movie.
“He kept kind of doing it wrong for camera, in fact, he was sort of pulling it back too far.

    2

Iron Mike looks in great shape today after losing six stone ahead of his ring comeback – and has finally mastered that classic ‘movie punch’

“I’m sort of showing him how to throw a punch, and without missing a beat, he goes ‘Oh this is great, I’m getting boxing lessons from the captain of the Jewish debating team.’”

Tyson eventually mastered the “movie punch” and gave viewers one of the most memorable moments from The Hangover Part II, when he knocked out Zach Galifianakis in a hotel.
The boxer has lost an astonishing SIX STONE as he reignites his career in the ring.
Tyson has revealed video footage as he looks in terrific shape for someone just over five years off of hitting 60.
It is the latest in a rollercoaster ride of life for the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
He was the youngest person ever to win the heavyweight world title, when he took the crown in 1986.
But he was jailed in 1992 for raping a beauty queen.
Tyson bit part of opponent Evander Holyfield’s ear off in the ring in 1997.

Logan Paul posts then deletes boxing licence pic after being called out by Conor McGregor coach over Mayweather bout

LOGAN PAUL posted then deleted a picture of his professional boxing licence after getting ridiculed by Conor McGregor’s head coach.
It comes amid rumours Paul – who lost his pro debut against YouTube rival KSI last November – could take on Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout.

    4

Floyd Mayweather has been approached to box Paul

Mayweather, 43, last boxed as a pro in 2017 beating McGregor but in 2018 returned to beat featherweight kickboxer Tension Nasukawa in one round in an exhibition.
And according to TMZ Sports, he has been approached about another exhibition spectacle which would see him remarkably box Paul.
John Kavanagh, who helped McGregor prepare for his boxing defeat three years ago, slammed the potential fight and questioned how it could even be sanctioned.

how is logan getting a pro license to fight mayweather? he has no pro combat sports experience? “yes but didnt conor get a boxing license to debut against him??” true, but you’re a slow donkey if you think that is in anyway similar to a youtuber getting one for his debut.
    — Coach Kavanagh (@John_Kavanagh) September 17, 2020

Kavanagh tweeted: “How is Logan getting a pro license to fight Mayweather?

“He has no pro combat sports experience? ‘yes but didn’t Conor get a boxing license to debut against him??’
“True, but you’re a slow donkey if you think that is in anyway similar to a youtuber getting one for his debut.”
Paul has in fact boxed twice, both against KSI – real name Olajide William Olatunji.
The first resulted in a draw after six exhibition rounds, but the pair controversially turned pro for their rematch at the end of last year.

Floyd Mayweather owns a £50m private jet, where he plays poker and gambles some of his £706million fortune

AIR MAYWEATHER, Floyd’s private jet, has become a casino for high stakes games of poker.
The boxing legend, 43, is known to own a stunning array of luxury toys having earned an eye-watering £706million in the last decade.

    3

Mayweather posted a photo of a somewhat ridiculous poker game from his jetCredit: Instagram @floydmayweather

Back in April, he posted an Instagram snap of playing a friend on his private jet with stacks of cash around them.
He captioned the shot: “On my private jet playing a private game of poker against @tmtbside7 he thought he had me with his full house, but I smoked him with a 4 of a kind.”
Mayweather claims he beat his opponent with a stunning four of a kind hand of aces, beating an also staggering full house of kings and aces.
Such an unlikely scenario led to sneaky suggestions from Mayweather’s 23.2million followers that the game wasn’t all it seemed.

But the American’s wealth is pretty undeniable in the face of his lavish lifestyle.
Not only does he own the £50m Gulfstream G650 jet, dubbed Air Mayweather, which he bought as a birthday present to himself in 2018 – he reportedly has a second jet worth £25m for his entourage to follow in.
The plane is emblazoned with his TMT ‘The Money Team’ logo and his undefeated 50-0 professional boxing record.
