Liam ‘Mr Angry’ Williams on the rampage for career-defining fights like icon Miguel Cotto

LIAM WILLIAMS is the Mr Angry of British boxing but the rage inside ‘The Machine’ is fully justified.
The Welsh middleweight is on a six-fight knockout streak, is mandatory for the WBO world title and headlines a BT Sport show on Saturday night.

But that hat-trick cannot calm the fury burning inside the 28-year-old father of one, who is a dog-loving pussycat away from the frustrating business of boxing.
While waiting for his overdue crack at American champ Demetrius Andrade, Williams has offered his services to every other champion and demanded a string of fan-friendly domestic classics.
But Chris Eubank Jr, Billy Joe Saunders, Jermall Charlo, Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin are all promoted by rival firms and have taken other options – leaving Williams seething.
Ahead of his British title defence against Andrew Robinson, the 22-2-1 ace told SunSport: “Ever since I was a kid, among my friends, I have been known as Mr Angry but this sport can do that to you.

“Away from the ring and the business I am as loving and caring as anyone else, I actually think fighters are so emotionally charged we are often even more vulnerable and raw.
“But once I am in the ring, once I see my opponent, something inside me switches.
“I want to hurt them because they are there to take everything away from me and my family.
“I can use that aggression though, it drives me, but the anger and frustration of not getting the fights I want is such a useless waste of energy.

“All I want to do is test myself against the best and that should not be so hard. It’s supposed to be what the sport is all about.”

    5

It’s hard not to feel sorry for Williams, since popping up from super-welterweight for a late-notice crack at the British 11st 6lbs crown in 2018, he has taken the division by storm.
Now his social media accounts are a contrasting mix of family photos – especially with new dog Cotto part of the firm – and spiteful fight offers sent directly to his rivals.
And when Williams saw the underwhelming four-man shortlist for mate and two-weight champ Saunders’ winter fight, he could not help putting himself in the mix.
“I respect Billy Joe a lot,” he said. “I enjoyed training alongside him in the Ingle gym and I hope we are friends forever.
“I don’t want to jeopardise that but I would fight him tomorrow at middle or super-middle because that list was a joke.
“November or December, whenever he wants it, whatever weight, just f****** ring my phone.”
In June, Williams waited for daughter Mayla to walk through the door to be surprised by new bulldog pup Cotto, named up legendary four-weight champ Miguel.
The name is lost on the doting schoolgirl but the Puerto Rican icon – who beat stars like Shane Mosley and Zab Judah and lost valiantly to Manny Pacqiauo and Floyd Mayweather – means everything Williams.
The two-weight British champ said: “Mayla doesn’t know what Cotto means, she just thinks it’s quite a nice name, that was all my doing.

EBANIE BRIDGES has exposed her fans for sending her pictures of their privates – and asking her to judge them.

She described UK boxing fans as ‘the best’ after she sold the sweaty souvenir.
But the high school maths teacher has now revealed some of the creepy messages that she receives online.
During a video call with three friends, Bridges revealed she receives a lot of pictures of penis’s.
She said: “They don’t even say, ‘hello how are you?’.

    “It’s like, ‘here’s my little d***’.”
Giving another example of the messages she receives, she said: “Can I send you a pic of my d*** and you can judge it?
“I just want to know what you think of it.”
As the group laughed in disbelief, Bridges asked what she was supposed to reply to them.

Nathan Gorman out to avenge son’s horrific pneumonia battle and Daniel Dubois defeat 16 months on from last fight

NATHAN GORMAN needed 16 months to recover from a week of hell but is diving back into a make-or-break night.
The Nantwich heavyweight lost a British title barnstormer in July 2019 against Daniel Dubois, after playing down the fact son Nathan Jr had spent most of his training camp in hospital fighting for his life.

    4

The little tyke won his battles with pneumonia and a tumour on his chest but Dynamite Dubois blew Nathan Sr away when he threw out the box-and-move gameplan and went toe-to-toe with the powerhouse.
Beaten and deflated, Gorman turned his phone off for two months and focused on his young family, then the pandemic hit and his hiatus was drastically extended.
Now he has hurled himself back into the firing line with a Saturday night clash with dangerman Richard Lartey and admitted defeat will leave him considering a career switch.
He told SunSport: “Daniel beat me absolutely fair and square and I will never use the situation I had with my son as an excuse.

“He had spent three weeks in intensive care with pneumonia and then needed surgery to remove a tumour on his chest and more hospital time to recover.

    4

“I felt like it might have motivated me even more but, looking back, I should have pulled out or postponed the fight but I was too proud to pull out, I felt I could not let everyone down.
“Afterwards I just wanted to disappear for a bit, I turned my phone off for two months and just regrouped with my family at the same time as realising how lucky I was.
“Now I have made some changes, trained all through lockdown and demanded a genuine fight that I have to win to kickstart my career again”.

Lartey’s name and face will be familiar to British boxing fans who remember the third round of his April 2019 clash with Dubois.
The Ghana giant, with the shock of orange beard, stunned the Greenwich powerhouse with a sensational exchange that had the Wembley crowd on the edge of their seats – before Dubois knocked him out.
Gorman, still just 24, could have had a far easier comeback but the shaven-headed hardman wants to to remind the world – and himself- of his potential, with his future on the line.

“Fans will remember Lartey’s shootout with Daniel and I have seen already on social media that some people are thinking I get beat.
“That’s great for me, I need to announce myself back on the scene in a big way and this battle of the beards is the perfect chance.
“If I don’t beat this man – with all of the right preparation – then I will have to answer some serious questions about my career and future because I am not in this dangerous sport just to help out.”

Conor McGregor gifted with ‘speed, agility and power’ says boxing trainer who told UFC star tactics to beat Pacquiao

CONOR McGREGOR has been told how to beat Manny Pacquaio by an Italian boxing trainer – who hailed the ex-UFC champion for his ‘speed, agility and power’.
McGregor was holidaying in the Liguria region of Italy when he announced his next fight would be against Pacquiao.

Afterwards, he sought a place to train, before walking into the Round Zero Gym and met coach and owner Luca Riccardi.
Riccardi watched on as McGregor sparred his son, later taking the Irishman on the pads, and was impressed with what he saw.
He even mapped out a game plan on how to fight Pacquaio, 41, despite the Irishman remaining tight lipped on whether the lucrative crossover fight was a done deal.
Riccardi told SunSport: “I told him that against Pacquiao he has to fight in a particular way, but he never admitted or denied that he’s going to fight with Pacquiao.

“Conor is not a boxer, but thanks to his speed, agility and power could fight with any European boxer.”
McGregor put his UFC career on hold in 2017 to make his lucrative boxing debut, losing in ten rounds against Mayweather, 43.
Before his last win against 37-year-old Donald Cerrone in January The Notorious promised fans he would lace up the gloves again.
McGregor even insisted he would win a world title in the ring.

But despite his supreme confidence and experience, Riccardi can not guarantee that the Dubliner could reign as a world champion in both sports.
The trainer said: “It could be possible, depends on how long he is going to train, who is the trainer, again a lot of factors involved.
“In boxing everything is possible, too many factors involved and it’s very difficult to express a prevision.”
McGregor, who had announced his retirement in June, appeared set to return to the ring before the UFC.
But the former featherweight and lightweight king then accepted an offer to rematch Dustin Poirier – who he beat in 2014 – which he hopes to squeeze in before the year’s out.
It leaves his proposed boxing match with Pacquiao up in the air, but Riccardi is open to lending McGregor a hand again in the future.
He said: “It has been a great pleasant experience, for sure unexpected but still wonderful.

Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Teofimo Lopez is the unmissable boxing blockbuster British TV didn’t want you to see

VASILIY LOMACHENKO vs Teofimo Lopez is the unmissable boxing blockbuster no British broadcaster wants you to watch.
Ukraine’s double Olympic champ and three-weight king bids to become the undisputed lightweight boss by snatching the IBF title from the New Yorker on October 17.

    6

The rival fighters – separated by nine years – have the perfect blend of skill and power, intriguing similarities and bad blood to make it a classic.
But the lack of British combatants, the 4am start time and the Covid-19 recession have scared off Sky Sports, BT Sport, Channel 5 and every other TV firm offered the UK rights.
Frank Warren and BT Sport have a close relationship with Lomachenko’s Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and his ESPN platform, but have opted out.
Eddie Hearn – who is set to roll out three heavyweight pay-per-views before Christmas – has correctly pointed to the financial climate, his loyalty to his own stable and suggested the twilight clash might only attract around 30,000 super-dedicated UK fight fans.

Growing combat streaming site Fite.TV have swooped in and snapped up the action, Brit fans can stay up late – or get up early – to catch the clash for £9.99.
And only after the 9st 9lbs battle is over will money man at the mainstream channels know if they have dodged a bullet or missed the bus.
The ingredients suggest a fight for the ages – the pound-for-pound ruler against the dangerous upstart – at a time when the sport needs it most.
WBC, WBA and WBO ace Loma only needs Lopez’s red strap to have cleaned out the division, he will then drop in weight to attempt the same legendary achievement at super-feather or feather.

Southpaw sensation Loma will not be shown on British TV on October 17
Lopez, still fuelled by the robbery he suffered at the 2016 Olympics, has talked and fought his way into the Las Vegas fight bubble and could take over arguably the most exciting class in the hurt business.
Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis are three more sub-26 sensations who have talked about dethroning Loma, but only Lopez has walked the walk so far.
And not many outside Lopez’s team – headed by his father/trainer/hype man Teofimo Sr – would have fancied his chances before his last bout.
But the 23-year-old’s brutal December demolition of Richard Commey, inside just two sensational rounds, confirmed the Brooklyn wonderkid as a man on a mission.
Both champions are trained by their fathers and both have achieved excellent things inside just 15 fights, in another life or profession they could have been friends.
But Lopez has taken the decision to goad and insult his way into Loma’s mind, months before he gets the chance to try to jab and hook inside his watertight guard.
Softly-spoken Loma – who beat valiant Hull Olympic winner Luke Campbell in London last time out in August – has kept his cool for all of his 15 previous bouts.

    6

Sky Sports-backed Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn pointed to a handful of reasons for rejecting US fightCredit: Getty Images – Getty
But at least one of Lopez’s barbs has touched a nerve as the kayak-paddling, ball-juggling, genius has used his steadily improving English to swear vengeance on his challenger.
Lopez will not just stop at words in his effort to bully Loma. The only blemish on the 32-year-old’s career to date is a loss in his second pro bout when he bid for a featherweight world title.
Orlando Salido bulked up over the championship weight, so couldn’t even win the belt, and fouled and bullied his way to a shock points win to show that the little master is not completely invincible.
But Loma will once again try to be the mini-maestro, in front of him will be a young bull whose almost pathological self belief has started to sway expectations.
Lomachenko remains the clear favourite – with odds as stingy as 1-4 -while Lopez is the longshot value bet around 3-1.

    6

New York 23-year-old Lopez is aiming to dethrone the lightweight kingCredit: Reuters
Has the Olympic legend who left the amateur code with a 396-1 record – having avenged his single defeat twice for good measure – gone up too high in weight and opponent quality?
Can bad boy Lopez succeed where experienced world champions like Gary Russel Jr, Anthony Crolla, Jorge Linares and Guillermo Rigondeaux have failed?
Will the suits inside the boardrooms who have tightened their Gucci belts and passed the buck be gloating over their champagne breakfasts?
Or will Fite.TV’s impressive decision to shell out on the showdown leave the establishment with egg on their face?
Thank the heavens we have the internet to find out, it will give the adult websites a rest during lockdown at least.

Mike Tyson’s incredible homes through his career, from 21-bed Connecticut mansion to an Ohio home that’s become a church

THROUGHOUT the years, as Mike Tyson rose through the ranks to become heavyweight champion of the world, the boxing legend bought and sold some incredible homes.
‘Iron Mike’ came a long way from the humble beginnings of his childhood home in Brooklyn to mansions filled with tiger cages as millions of dollars poured in.

    19

    19

Mike Tyson has lived in the most amazing homes dotted all over America

After losing it all, Tyson, now 54, is once again worth millions after launching his company Tyson Holistic and flogging medical marijuana.
And he’s even in line for a comeback – the knockout king is set to face Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition fight on November 28.
But it’s his former homes that really amaze and show how the king of the ring loved living.
    NEW YORK
Tyson spent most of his childhood years in a modest apartment in Brooklyn in Brownsville in the mid 1970s.

It was a neighbourhood, at the time, that was a breeding ground for crime and most residents lived poorly.
In the past, Tyson has admitted mixing with criminals as he looked for acceptance and joined a gang of petty thieves.
But in his spare-time in the Brownsville abode, he became fascinated by pigeons.

    19

    19

A young Tyson kept pigeons on the rooftop of the Brooklyn apartment
He kept coops on the rooftop of the building and cared for the birds religiously.

Today, apartments in the area can fetch up to £500,000.
    OHIO
Tyson’s fall from grace began in 1992, when he was convicted of rape and was sentenced to six years in prison, of which he served three.
Financially drained, he was forced to sell this incredible home in 1999 for around £855,000.
Today, remarkably, it’s been converted into a church.
But in Tyson’s day it boasted five bedrooms and a full-size pool and Jacuzzi alongside its tiger cages and basketball court, with the entire pad decked out with crystal chandeliers.
The delipidated pool has since been turned into a sanctuary while the living room is now a gathering place.
Remnants of the 53-year-old’s time still remain with the basketball court still intact, as well as Mike Tyson’s name etched onto the front gate.

The old fireplace has since been turned into an indoor waterfall while the four-bay garage is now classrooms and a nursery.
And the tall steel cages where Tyson kept his famous four tigers have been dismantled for a pavilion.
    CONNECTICUT
In 2003, Tyson was declared bankrupt.
That meant he had to sell up again – and a 52-room mansion in Connecticut he used to live in was eventually bought by rapper 50 Cent for £3.3million.
Boasting 21 bedrooms, as well as its own nightclub the property is as lavish as Tyson has ever owned.
The 50,000-square-foot property also has 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool and hot tub, an indoor basketball court, multiple game rooms, a green-screen room, and a recording studio.
And the opulence doesn’t end there.
Entering the property through a stately front gate, you’re greeted by a lion statue.
However, the running costs – believed to be around £50,000-per-month – forced 50 Cent to sell the house in 2019.

    MARYLAND
Tyson’s Maryland residence was bought with ex-wife Monica Turner in 1995.
The pair lived there through the early 2000s, until the pair divorced after she claimed he committed adultery.
Turner won the house in the divorce settlement, which is just 30 minutes from Washington DC.
It features seven bedrooms, a large gym, game room, swimming pool, sports court and a piano room.
It also overlooks the Congressional Country Club golf course, which has hosted several US Open tournaments.
Back in May, the home was listed for sale at £7million.

    THE HANGOVER PAD
In 2008, Tyson let Hollywood film director Todd Phillips into his £1.5million Las Vegas pad to film legendary scenes from the hit comedy movie.
And what a lavish setting it is too.
Found in the beautiful gated community called Seven Hills in the suburb of Henderson, it boasts six bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms and its own private balcony.
There’s also the incredible 18-hole Rio Secco Golf Club to enjoy, as well as four large private parks filled with basketball courts, tennis courts and football pitches.
Like many new builds in Las Vegas within gated communities, the 5,740-square-feet mansion was built in an Italian style in 2001.
Two-storeys in size, the entrance opens to a grand reception room with a 25-foot-high lit waterfall, which connects to the great room that has a wet bar and fireplace.
Tyson lived in the property with third wife Lakiha, eventually selling it in 2016.

    HIS CURRENT HOME
Today, back at the top, Tyson lives a life of luxury once more. And he loves living in Henderson, Las Vegas.
Shortly after he sold ‘The Hangover’ home, he bought this nearby mansion for £2.5million.
The 8,149 square-foot mansion in Henderson, Nevada, built in 2001, has plenty of indoor and outside space.
There are six spacious bedrooms and six bathrooms in his mediterranean-style villa.
Again, it’s found in the gated community of Seven Hills – so it’s surrounded by parks and tennis and basketball courts.

Tyson Fury ‘talking nonsense’ by claiming Deontay Wilder is better than Anthony Joshua, insists Tony Bellew

TONY BELLEW has laughed off Tyson Fury’s claims that Deontay Wilder is a better boxer than Anthony Joshua.
There’s no love lost between British rivals Fury and AJ, with the pair joint-kings of the heavyweight division.

A highly-anticipated battle to unify all their belts has been mooted.
But Fury is first set to take on Wilder for the THIRD time while Joshua must see off Kubrat Pulev.
And ahead of a potential battle, Fury stoked the flames by claiming AJ is ‘third-tier’ compared to Wilder.
Fury told TalkSport: “I think he’s a third-tier heavyweight. I think there’s me and Wilder that can easily beat them all.

“And I do put Oleksandr Usyk up there too because he’s a fleet-footed southpaw. But Joshua, I’ve said it many times, all these other heavyweights can beat each other, as we’ve seen.”
However, fan favourite Bellew has dismissed Fury’s views as ‘nonsense’ and believes Joshua’s record speaks for itself.
Bellew told TalkSport: “He’s talking nonsense when he says that it’s only between him and Wilder, and everybody else is on another level.
“Let’s just get something straight – Wilder was desperate against Luis Ortiz and he is about 95 years old.

    A CUT ABOVE
Fury has ‘far too much’ for Joshua… Wilder is a ‘tougher test’, says cutman

“It’s ridiculous what he’s saying, we all know Wilder is a one-trick pony. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a hell of a trick. It the trick lands, you wake up in an ambulance.
“But make no mistakes about it, Joshua is far better than Wilder. Far better.
‘Everything he does is better. The only attribute Wilder has over all these guys is one-punch power. But there’s no point in having that if he hasn’t got the skillset to land it, and he clearly hasn’t.

“It’s bravado coming from Tyson. I’ve got all respect for him, he is right now the number one heavyweight in the world, no one can dispute that.
“But make no mistake, Joshua is only getting better. This is a guy with limited experience who achieved everything at the speed of light.
“Olympic champion, world champion, unified world champion. Every single person he’s faced, he’s beaten.” More
