The Queensland fighter was eventually stopped from competing by the doctor and forced to take his first professional defeat in just his third fight.
Opponent Ben Mahoney delivered the sickening blow in the second round via a booming hook which sent his mouthguard flying.
But onlookers failed to realise it was anything more than a bad cut as blood poured from Hussain’s mouth.
His corner did not throw in the towel until the doctor told him his jaw was broken at the end of the sixth round.

The doc said: “Your jaw is broken, mate. I mean it’s badly broken, we’ve got to stop it.”
Hussain at first asked if the fight could be settled by the judges scorecards, thinking he may be ahead.
But – when told by the ref he would lose by TKO – incredibly tried to carry on before the medic put their foot down and ruled him out.
And the extent of the brutal break shocked viewers, including the commentators.

On commentary, Ben Damon said: “Oh jeez, yeah, that is horrific. We thought it might have been a cut tongue or laceration inside the mouth.
“But it is a broken jaw and with that being said, Benjamin Hussain has shown he’s otherworldly tough.
“He’s gone through the vast majority of this fight with what appears to be a very, very badly damaged mouth and jaw.”
Boxing journalist Chisanga Malata tweeted: “Good lord. This is hands down the worst broken jaw I’ve ever seen.”
One fight fan said: “Honestly thought for a second, ‘How’d they break his teeth off so evenly?’ Damn.”
Another added: “That can’t be real.”
Hussain captioned his video: “This is boxing. Thanks to everybody I’ll be back 100 per cent.”

Gustavo Henrique had to be hauled off the pitch and checked over by medics after a testicle injury
Hussain is not the only sporting star to suffer a bloody blow this week after Flamengo footballer Gustavo Henrique went down with a testicle injury.
The 27-year-old sustained a cut which left his white shorts blood-stained.
Fans claimed it was ‘the most painful injury ever’ but Hussain’s could now rival it.
Other savage knocks include Liverpool Women’s star Fran Kitching splitting her head open in January and footballer David Busst’s sickening leg break.
The most infamous injury of the Premier League era is probably Alf-Inge Haaland’s broken leg after Roy Keane’s challenge in 2001.
And it’s not just football, Anderson Silva’s leg break against Chris Weidman in 2013 is probably the most famous injury in UFC history – and there have been plenty!
Plus ex-England cricketer Craig Kieswetter was sadly forced to retire when a ball from David Willey smashed through his helmet and fractured his eye socket.

Anthony Joshua shares snip of star-studded Zoom call with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and PSG star Mbappe

ANTHONY JOSHUA linked up with Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappe on a Zoom call this week.
The three superstars have been picked to be ‘Groundbreakers’ on the new FIFA 21 game.

Thierry Henry, Anthony Joshua and Kylian Mbappe had a chat on Zoom

This means gamers will have the chance to play against them on Volta mode.
If they beat them, they will be able to recruit the Groundbreakers to their own squad.
Heavyweight champion AJ enjoyed a catch up with his fellow Fifa stars this week.
The 31-year-old joined a Zoom call with Arsenal legend Henry, 43, and Fifa cover star Mbappe, 21.

Although he’s a world champion boxer, fans will be able to test out AJ’s skills on the game.
But he could exceed expectations after his friend admitted he could have played in the Premier League.
AJ cracked a smile while on the call with Mbappe and Henry – who he met back in 2017.
Joshua invited the French legend to his house for Christmas dinner as they got along so well.

Anthony Joshua shared the snaps with his 11.5million Instagram followers

They are three of the Groundbreakers – but there’s eight in total.

Oscar De La Hoya ‘serious’ about plans for ring return aged 47 and claims ‘George Foreman did it, I can do it as well’

OSCAR DE LA HOYA has revealed he is drawing inspiration from George Foreman as he plans to return to the ring aged 47.
The five-weight world champion hasn’t fought since his defeat against Manny Pacquiao in 2008, but he is keen to dust off his gloves in 2021.

And the 1992 Olympic gold medallist believes that age is just a number, as he spoke of Foreman’s success after he won a world title at the age of 45 having come out of retirement.
De La Hoya has been putting himself through the paces in his bid to get in shape, and showed fans he still possesses blistering hand speed during a mitts session.
Speaking in an Instagram live video earlier this week, the 11-time world champ said: “I really am considering making a comeback.
“I have been training. I seriously feel incredible. I feel amazing.

“With me, I always fought the very best, and why not?
“If I make the comeback in the first quarter of next year, by the way, I have slimmed down 20 pounds, it’s going to be against the very best, like always.
“None of this ducking fighters like the way fighters duck everyone today. They make it impossible because they price themselves out. It’s a huge problem.”
Before adding: “George Foreman did it, and I think I can do it as well. I feel like a million, million bucks. It’s crazy.”

Unlike Mike Tyson, Roy Jones Jr and Evander Holyfield who want to compete in exhibition bouts, De La Hoya wants to jump back into professional contests.
Brit star Amir Khan teased a fight against the legendary boxer in August.
And De La Hoya has refused to rule out a potential fight against Saul Alvarez.
Meanwhile UFC legend Conor McGregor is another potential option after the duo spoke of facing each other.

Eddie Hall leaves trainer coughing up blood after landing heavy shot during brutal sparring session ahead of Thor fight

EDDIE HALL left his trainer ‘puking up blood’ after he unleashed The Beast on him during sparring.
The 2017 World’s Strongest Man then vowed to leave Hafthor Bjornsson in the same state when they meet in the boxing ring.

Paddy spat out a mouthful of blood as he fell to the ground

Eddie Hall did not hold back as unleashed a brutal combo on his trainer

Hall, 32, has been working closely with 6″ 5′ boxing trainer Paddy ahead of his first fight.
But The Beast left the 27-year-old needing urgent medical attention after a sparring session.
Hall was being filmed for his YouTube channel when he hit Paddy with a heavy combo.
After taking six shots to the body – while wearing a body bag – he collapsed to the ground.

Paddy grabbed hold of the ropes as he started to cough up blood.
Filming came to an abrupt end as Hall said: “Is he coughing up blood?
“Paddy, are you OK? Take a breath mate, breathe. Andy don’t film this.”
Paddy then shared a picture of himself in the back of an ambulance, with Hall alongside him awkwardly smiling.

Eddie Hall decided to pose for a selfie as Paddy was treated in the ambulance

The caption read: “Are you even best friends if one of you doesn’t end up punched into an ambulance? Thanks @eddiehallwsm.”
A week later, Eddie gave his fans an update on Paddy’s condition.
He said: “Hey guys, we are about a week on now from what happened with Paddy.
“Paddy, are you feeling ok buddy?”
Paddy replied: “I’m suffering still, but I’m getting better slowly. It’s been a nice week of recovery.”
When asked how his guts were feeling, he said: “Still tender. I’m still waking up in the night.
“It’s not too bad now, I recovered quite quickly.”
Before he added: “The first thing was I thought I was being sick as I couldn’t breathe, then I got down on the floor and started puking up blood.”
Hall is also working with a trainer called Lyndon, who claimed the legendary strongman will be able to take on Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

But Lyndon has also suffered at the hands of Hall in the build-up to the Thor fight – which is set to take place in September 2021.
He was left with broken ribs after a sparring session with Hall.
He revealed: “I did six rounds of body bag with Ed last week as Paddy was also broken.
“And Ed managed to break my ribs through my body bag.”
Hall is boxing four times a week ahead of his meeting with bitter rival Thor.

The English star appears to be in the best shape of his life despite gorging on 7,000 calories per day.
He weighed in at around 30st when he won the World’s Strongest Man title in 2017.
But now the shredded Beast is tipping the scales at just 25st 9lbs.
At the end of the video, he vowed to inflict the same pain on Game of Thrones star Thor.
He said: “Thor, I hope you’re watching boy, because that’s going to be you in the ring, coughing up your soul.”

Mike Tyson reveals he wanted to ROB trainer Cus D’Amato when he first met him after visiting 14-bedroom mansion

MIKE TYSON’S first thought upon entering the mansion of Cus D’Amato was to ROB the legendary trainer – the heavyweight has claimed.
D’Amato adopted the Brooklyn brawler after they met in his gym, bringing Tyson into a home he purchased for his stable of fighters.

But the youngster, who had experienced a rough childhood and frequent run-ins with the law, struggled to come to terms with the new life being afforded him.
Tyson, 54, told his Hotboxin podcast: “When it came to Cus, I saw this big house. You know, I’m from the gutter.
“I saw this big house, 14-room Victorian mansion, I said, ‘Wow, I’m gonna live here?’
“And I thought about the same thing, I thought about robbing him too.

“It’s hard not to think that if you’re a street person. You see this guy, all this stuff, and he says, ‘No, all this stuff is yours, you live here, you’re one of us’.
“But I don’t know, I still wanted to rob him.”

Tyson has spoken numerous times about D’Amato’s influence on his boxing career, helping him to discover the ‘spirit of fighting’.
The trainer, who first found fame by guiding Floyd Patterson’s career, died in 1985 – with Tyson on the cusp of an iconic career.

And the youngest-ever heavyweight champ added: “He taught me about the character, the spirit of fighting.

“You know, that’s bigger than fighting. The spirit of fighting. I said teach me more.”
Iron Mike is preparing for a stunning comeback to the ring, facing Roy Jones Jr in November.
Ahead of the eight-round exhibition contest, the American superstar released a music video to accompany his own walkout song.

Mike Tyson releases dance track for Roy Jones Jr fight with crazy vid and ‘lend me your ears or I’ll eat them’ lyrics

MIKE TYSON will walk out to his own song in his exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr on November 28.
The 54-year-old – who hasn’t fought since losing against Kevin McBride in July 2005 – has teamed up with Tiki Lau to create a dance track for his return to the ring.

A bizarre music video of the song – titled ‘Mike Tyson’ – has been released ahead of next month’s fight, showing a cartoon version of the heavyweight knocking out a shark.
And he can even be seen pitting his wits against Godzilla on the beach while wearing a gul mask and snorkel.
One of the lyrics in the song hears Tyson say ‘lend me your ears or I’ll eat them’ – a reference to his infamous bite incident during his bout against Evander Holyfield in 1997.
Tyson also brags how he is the ‘most destructive fighter to ever live’ having knocked out 44 of his 58 opponents.

Indie-electro duo Tiki Lau have spoken of how the song was created, as they said: “Our multi-platinum Grammy-winning and legendary Tiki Lau team member Damon Elliott was in the studio with Mike Tyson and had him record the vocals then sent them over to us.
“Damon is like the DJ Khaled of our group. They knew we were ready to deliver, and we did.
“You can’t help but get super pumped up when listening to this song.”
Tyson – who famously sang ‘In the Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins in the 2009 smash-hit film The Hangover – recently revealed he hated pop king Michael Jackson.

Speaking on T.I.’s expediTIously podcast, the former world champion said: “I met Mike one day, I think he was at a concert in Cleveland, I’m with Don King.
“So me and Don come in, right? And I’m champ and everything, did all this s***, undisputed.
“So Don goes and Don gives Michael Jackson the ‘peace’ sign, like this. And then so Michael gives Don the ‘peace’ sign, and so I give Michael the ‘peace’ sign, and Michael put his hand down.
“In a way, I say, ‘Did he play me? Nah, he didn’t play me, he just didn’t see me. I knew he didn’t play me, cause I’m f***ing champ.”
Before adding: “So we went backstage, right? So I’m backstage, and so there’s his backstage, some of his singers and stuff.
“He’s on stage, it’s over I’m signing autographs and stuff, so Michael comes over and he talks to Don, he doesn’t talk to me.

“I say ‘Let me just go on and meet Mike’, cause that’s really why I’m here, I want to meet Mike.
“And then I go over to meet Mike, … and he goes like this, ‘Don’t I know you from somewhere? Where I know you from?’
“He broke my ego, he crushed me. I said ‘No, I’m just a fan, pleasure to meet you, sir. He said, ‘OK’, and then he got out and went in the car.”

Mike Tyson reveals he ‘hated Michael Jackson’s guts’ after King of Pop ‘played him’ in amazing backstage gig snub

MIKE TYSON has revealed he hated Michael Jackson’s guts after a backstage snub at one of the pop icon’s concerts.
The boxing legend is currently preparing for his in-ring comeback aged 54 in an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr next month.

During his heyday of the late 80s and early 90s, the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ was one of the most-recognisable and biggest names in the world
One man that enjoyed just as much popularity and spotlight was the late ‘King of Pop’ Jackson.
However, Tyson has admitted he held a lot of anger towards the musician until the pair did eventually hang out.

Tyson and King continued to go backstage for the show – but the disrespect continued.

He continued: “So we went backstage, right? So I’m backstage, and so there’s his backstage, some of his singers and stuff.
“He’s on stage, it’s over I’m signing autographs and stuff, so Michael comes over and he talks to Don, he doesn’t talk to me. … I say ‘Let me just go on and meet Mike’, cause that’s really why I’m here, I want to meet Mike.
“And then I go over to meet Mike, … and he goes like this, ‘Don’t I know you from somewhere? Where I know you from?’
“He broke my ego, he crushed me.
“I said ‘No, I’m just a fan, pleasure to meet you, sir. He said, ‘OK’, and then he got out and went in the car.”
Tyson admitted he refused to let go of the snub for years until Jackson finally invited him to hang out – an offer initially rejected by the fighter.

He added: “I said ‘OK I’m coming, I’ll be over there’, right?
“So I got on a plane, went over there, hung out, and we just started hanging out together. And I said ‘F*** man, he’s a good guy.
“But in my mind, I said ‘Why’d you play me though, Mike, why’d you play me like that? You knew who I was, why’d you play me?’”

Boxing’s new super-cruiserweight division is ‘sensible’ move that will allow mouthwatering fights like Usyk vs Wilder

BECAUSE Tyson Fury and the rest of today’s leading heavyweights are built the size of articulated trucks, boxing is about to create a new weight class.
The idea is that it’s going to be above the cruiserweight 14st 4lb limit and the fighters who will be involved won’t be allowed to be heavier than 16st.

Wilder could be one of the superstars set to compete in this new divisionCredit: Getty Images – Getty

With 17 weight divisions already, you would think the Noble Art needs another as about as much as Manchester needs a goodwill visit from Boris Johnson.
But talks between WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman and British Boxing Board of Control chairman Charlie Giles are at an advanced stage.
It is a sensible move and will protect men like Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk — who clashes with Derek Chisora tomorrow week in London — from being at an unacceptable weight disadvantage.
Usyk, the unbeaten former undisputed world cruiserweight champion ran out of opposition, which forced him to move up among the big boys.

Yet when he had his first heavyweight fight a year ago he was 15st 5lb, which means he will probably be at least three stone lighter than Chisora next week.
Tony Bellew, the former world cruiserweight champ knocked out by Usyk in his last fight, has been asked by the WBC to be an ambassador for the plan.
Bellew said: “I’m very enthusiastic about this because it will allow the small heavyweights and big cruiserweights to have a level playing field.
“Speaking from experience Usyk is technically the best in the heavyweight division. He’s a genius.

“But the one thing that will hold him back is sheer size. He will not be able to beat the real big boys for that reason.
“Heavyweights are getting bigger and bigger. Look at Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte. They are huge. The new division is inevitable and the need for it is going to get more apparent.”
Glenn McCrory, Britain’s first world cruiserweight champion, is 100 per cent behind Bellew. He said: “When I lost my cruiserweight title I moved up to heavyweight and fought Lennox Lewis.
“He was only a couple of stone heavier but he was throwing me around like I was a rag doll. Imagine what it would be like facing someone three or four stone heavier.”

Fans may be surprised to learn last century’s legendary world champions would never be considered heavyweights in this era of Goliaths.
This what they weighed when they won the title. Jack Johnson (13st 4lb), Jack Dempsey (13st 5lb), Joe Louis (14st 1lb) and Rocky Marciano a mere 13st 2lb.
Can you imagine matching Marciano — 11 inches shorter and six stone lighter — with Fury? He’d be arrested under the Trades Description Act.
The only negative argument I’ve heard is a new super-cruiserweight division will be unfashionable and therefore unattractive to the TV companies’ networks.
But if it was launched with a Usyk-Deontay Wilder — an under 16st man — world championship battle, I doubt if that would be too difficult to sell.
