Teofimo Lopez tells Deontay Wilder to ‘stop being a bitch’ after making number of wild excuses for Tyson Fury defeat

TEOFIMO LOPEZ has told Deontay Wilder to ‘stop being a bitch’ after making several wild excuses following his loss to Tyson Fury.
Wilder’s reputation has been left in tatters after giving a string of bizarre reasons why he was beaten last February instead of accepting defeat.

And 23-year-old Lopez – who Fury successfully backed to upset Vasiliy Lomachemko – slammed the ex-heavyweight champion for his delusion.
He told SiriusXM: “I think Wilder has had too much time on his hands.
“He needs to focus on his own damn self, go back to the gym, get ready for a fight.
“Stop talking about a dent in your head. You’re a grown-ass man, stop being a bitch.”

Immediately after Fury stopped Wilder in round seven, the Bronze Bomber blamed the result on the 45lb costume he wore on his ring walk.
It was then revealed that the 35-year-old needed bicep surgery following an injury.
Fury was also forced to deny ‘bulls***’ claims made by Wilder’s brother Marsellos, who accused the Gypsy King of having a ‘blunt object’ in his gloves.
Then, as Wilder recently broke a long period of silence following his first ever loss, he himself came up with the same elaborate theory.

He accused Fury of ‘cheating’ by having ‘something hard’ in his glove.
That is despite a member of his team and the athletic commission observing Fury having his hands wrapped and gloves fitted before both fights.
Wilder followed it up by later claiming his ‘water was spiked’ which left him with ‘no control’ over his body.
The litany of excuses and accusations were all made with absolutely no evidence provided.
As a result, Fury, 32, told talkSPORT that Wilder has ‘lost his marbles’.
He continued: “First of all it was the suit, then it was the bicep injury, then his trainer was on our team, then the referee was against him, then I had weights in my gloves…
“Now someone has spiked his water…
“It’s one of those things, isn’t it.”

Canelo Alvarez set to face Caleb Plant on December 19 but so desperate to return to ring he would fight on Christmas

CANELO ALVAREZ is negotiating a return to the ring on December 19 to face super-middleweight champion Caleb Plant.
It comes after the Mexican star was released from his contract with Golden Boy Promotions, which saw him fight on DAZN.

According to The Athletic, Canelo is looking to squeeze in a fight by the end of the year and wants to challenge IBF champion Plant.
And he could do so in Texas, where fans are allowed to attend in limited numbers.
Gervonta Davis’ knockout win against Leo Santa Cruz at the 72,000 seater Alamodome was allowed 10,000 supporters inside.
Canelo, 30, has not fought since he jumped up to light-heavyweight last November to win the WBO belt against Sergey Kovalev.

He was due to fight Billy Joe Saunders, 31, this summer, but the coronavirus pandemic cancelled the headliner.
Ever since, Canelo has been in dispute with his promoter and DAZN as he looked for his next opponent.
In the end, all parties mutually terminated their partnership with Alvarez now controlling his career with trainer and manager Eddy Reynoso.
Canelo had only boxed three times since signing a record breaking deal with DAZN that would have seen him bank £300m for 11 fights.

I don’t care if it’s December 19th or Christmas. What I want is to fight this year.
    Canelo Alvarez

Now, as a free agent Alvarez is wasting no time having already entered talks with Plant.
And he is so desperate that he would even fight on Christmas, just to ensure he is in the ring at least once in 2020.
Canelo told BoxAzteca7: “I don’t care if it’s December 19th or Christmas. What I want is to fight this year.”
Canelo had wanted to face Plant before, but DAZN did not deem the American a ‘premium opponent’.
Plant won the 168lb title last year when he stunned Jose Uzcategui, and has made two defences since.

The latest Ring Magazine P4P rankings
He beat stopped German Vincent Feigenbutz in his last fight in February, to take his record to 20-0.
And he provides the perfect opposition for Canelo, who is looking to solidify himself as fully-fledged champ at four weights.
He beat Liverpool’s Rocky Fielding in December 2018 for the WBA’s secondary ‘Regular’ title.
But Canelo – who still has two belts at middleweight – wants to win a recognised title at super-middleweight.
As a result, Callum Smith and Saunders were still in the running to fight Alvarez.

Agit Kabayel ‘agrees’ to fight Tyson Fury on December 5 as Gypsy King finally hits back at Deontay Wilder’s cheat claims

AGIT KABAYEL has reportedly agreed to fight Tyson Fury for the WBC heavyweight title on December 5.
And that comes after the Gypsy King finally responded to Deontay Wilder’s cheating allegations by claiming the American had ‘lost his marbles’.

Only the ‘final details need to be clarified’ before an official announcement is made this week on the world champion’s next defence.
That is according to Bild, who claim the undefeated German was a boyhood friend of ex-Manchester City star Leroy Sane.
It will be the Gypsy King’s first time boxing in the UK since 2018, having signed a deal with US promotion Top Rank last year.
And after cancelling his trilogy bout with Wilder, Fury is now using his homecoming as a tune up to prepare for an all-British unification showdown with Anthony Joshua in 2021.

But he will face a tough test in the 20-0 fighter when they collide in London.
Kabayel was born in Leverkusen with both his parents coming from the Kurdish part of Turkey.
He grew up with Bayern Munich’s Sane and also played football alongside him at Bayer Leverkusen
Kabayel, who is also the cousin of rapper KC Rebell, is a former European champion and defeated Evgenios Lazaridis in July.

The Bochum-based boxer recently signed up with Fury’s US promoters Top Rank and was due to make his debut Stateside until the coronavirus outbreak scuppered that.
Meanwhile, Fury has hit back Wilder’s bizarre claims he had an object resembling an ‘egg weight’ hidden inside his gloves and his former trainer, Mark Breland, spiked his water before his loss to the Englishman in February.
The 32-year-old told TalkSPORT: “First of all it was the suit, then it was the bicep injury, then his trainer was on our team, then the referee was against him, then I had weights in my gloves.
“Now someone has spiked his water. It’s one of those things, isn’t it.”
And discussing the reasons behind the failure to get a trilogy fight with the Bronze Bomber sorted and instead finding an alternative opponent, Fury added: “The original date was July 18.
“That didn’t happen because he had an injury so it got put back three months to October, then that didn’t happen because they were trying to get a venue.
“And then they had three dates in December – 5th, 12th, 19th – which I agreed to all them and obviously that didn’t’ happen.
“So, I’m not going to wait around forever.”

Tyson Fury’s Love Island brother Tommy slams ‘stupid’ Deontay Wilder and says he’s ‘tarnishing legacy’ with cheat claims

TYSON FURY’S brother Tommy claimed Deontay Wilder is tarnishing his own legacy by making up ‘ludicrous’ excuses for losing.
The Bronze Bomber, 35, was battered from pillar to post when he fought the Gypsy King, 32, for the second time in February.

But Wilder has come up with a long list of reasons to explain why he lost the fight against the Brit.
He bizarrely alleged his drinking water had been spiked, claimed his ring-walk outfit was too heavy and also blamed his trainer for throwing in the towel.
The American has backed claims that Tyson ‘cheated’, accused the referee of being biased and even suggested he was carrying an injury.
Love Island star Tommy claimed the former WBC heavyweight king is ‘not a good sportsman’.

Speaking to sports PR agency Press Box, he said: “It’s stupid, I had a lot of respect for Wilder, I thought he was a good champion, but he just met his match.
“All this stuff that he’s coming out with now, I can’t get my head around it.
“As a champion and as a role model, you should admit you’ve been beaten twice by a better man and brush yourself off on and come again.
“All of these excuses he’s coming up with are bad to hear.

“He’s not a good sportsman. Basically just coming up with anything he can think of.”
Tommy, who predicted Anthony Joshua would ‘gas out’ against his brother, urged Wilder to take the defeat on the chin.
The 21-year-old added: “He’s saying his team has spiked his water and all sorts of stuff, ludicrous stuff that you don’t say as a sportsman.
“As an athlete, you just kind of take on the chin and get on with it.
“I think Wilder’s in a really low, low state because he had a big ego.
“Everyone around him had big egos.
“I think to lose in the way he did, getting brutally battered for seven rounds, it’s hard to swallow.
“I don’t think he can swallow it. That’s the problem here. Tyson’s a much better fighter than him.
“Don’t be making excuses for yourself and tarnishing your legacy, because that’s all he’s doing.”

Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz stops Alexander Flores in just 45 seconds to edge closer to WBC title shot against Tyson Fury

LUIS ORTIZ edged closer to a shot at Tyson Fury’s WBC belt with an incredible win over Alexander Flores.
The Cuban heavyweight, 41, demolished his opponent in just 45 seconds as he made his return to the ring.

Luis Ortiz defeated his opponent within the first round in LA

It was Ortiz’s first fight since his defeat to Deontay Wilder in November 2019.
But he made no mistakes as he wiped out Flores within the first round in Los Angeles.
Ortiz landed a huge left hand before a solid right hook left the 30-year-old on the canvas.
American star Flores, who suffered the third defeat of his career, was unable to continue.

Ortiz now boasts an impressive record of 32-2 including 27 knockouts.
The victory has strengthened Ortiz’s position as the No3 in the WBC heavyweight ranks.
Fury – who looks braced to scrap European champ Agit Kabayel next month – is the title holder.
Alexander Povetkin is the mandatory challenger following his win over Dillian Whyte.

But the pair are set to have a rematch on January 30.
Oleksandr Usyk has also warned Fury and Anthony Joshua that he will become the ‘undisputed world champion’ following his win over Derek Chisora.
Reigning WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champ AJ returns to the ring on December 12 in an IBF mandated defence against Kubrat Pulev, 39.

Anthony Joshua’s rival Zhilei Zhang stops Devin Vargas in four rounds as he targets rematch with world champion in China

ANTHONY JOSHUA’S rival Zhilei Zhang stopped Devin Vargas within four rounds – and is now eyeing a rematch with the world champion.
The Chinese heavyweight, 37, was dominant throughout his bout on Saturday night.

And it was all over within four rounds as he knocked the American out in Florida.
That took his professional record to a perfect 22-0.
The fight against Vargas was the first time Zhang had been exclusively promoted by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom.
And the heavyweight is determined to take on Hearn’s poster boy Joshua again.

AJ got the better of ‘Big Bang’ Zhang on his way to Olympic gold in 2012.
But a rematch between the WBO, WBA and IBF king and the China star in the latter’s homeland would also raise the profile of boxing in the country.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Zhang said: “I said it on multiple occasions, let’s make it happen as soon as possible.
“I went in the ring with the wrong mentality knowing that he was from the host country, that I had to knock him out to win.

“I fought the whole fight looking for the big shot and over-exposed myself.
“Ever since then I have been working on adjusting my mind before the fight and I’m happy that a lot has been done over the years.”
His advisor advisor Terry Lane added: “Professional boxing in China is still in its infancy, it is still emerging.
“But there are indications that it is growing, although it’s not as big as NBA, tennis or golf.
“To make it explode, we want a big heavyweight fight involving Zhilei hosted in China.
“He is a very talented, top heavyweight who is in the mix. We want to use this to build the boxing industry in China.”
Joshua takes on Bulgarian veteran Kubrat Pulev on December 12 – that will be the first defence of his belts since reclaiming them from Andy Ruiz Jr at the end of last year.
If he wins that, Zhang may have to wait even longer for a shot at AJ because a two-fight deal is in place for the Watford hero to take on British rival and WBC champ Tyson Fury in a blockbuster double act.

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr will NOT fight for WBC Front Line Battle Belt when legends come out of retirement on Nov 28

MIKE TYSON and Roy Jones Jr will NOT fight for the WBC Front Line Battle Belt during their comeback clash on November 28.
The two American legends have dusted off their gloves for an exhibition fight this month aged 54 and 51 respectively.

Tyson and Jones will both earn themselves a commemorative strap – but won’t fight for a special WBC belt

Mike Tyson will take on Roy Jones Jr on November 28 at the age of 54

Last month it was rumoured the WBC would crown a new champion with the Front Line Battle Belt.
Jones said the incentive gave him even more motivation to shock Tyson – who still boasts ferocious hand speed and power – in their eagerly-anticipated fight.
But the WBC have confirmed the pair won’t fight for an official belt – but WILL both walk away with a commemorative strap for their efforts.
Win or lose, Tyson AND Jones will go home with a strap reading ‘Front Line Battle – Black Lives Matter’.

The WBC revealed: “The WBC is honoured to support their exhibition match scheduled for November 28.
“[Tyson and Jones] will go into the ring with the admirable purpose of raising funds for charitable campaigns in the ‘Front Line Battle’.
“This exhibition match is sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission involving thorough medical examinations.
“With VADA performing the Clean Boxing Program out of competition anti-doping testing to both.

“The WBC has prepared a unique belt to commemorate this occasion.
“Each fighter will receive a belt in recognition of their innovative efforts to bring entertainment to the world.
“It’s a great cause during these challenging and harsh times for humanity.”
Giving even more detail about the fight, the WBC revealed they would introduce ‘a fun innovation’ including three ‘legendary champions’ scoring the fight.
The WBC continued: “A fun innovation is also being organised for November 28.
“The WBC Remote Scoring System will be used.
“We also have three legendary champions score the exhibition.
“They will judge via specific criteria, to provide additional entertainment to the fans from around the world.”

The WBC regularly design new belts for blockbuster bouts.
They notably created the ‘Adolfo Lopez Mateos’ strap for the rematch between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez.
Meanwhile, Tyson Fury got his hands on the WBC ‘Mayan’ belt when he outpointed Otto Wallin in September 2019.
And who could forget the WBC ‘Money’ belt designed for the extravaganza between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor which cost £310,000 to create.

Tyson Fury reveals heart attack scare due to drugs and booze after weight rocketed to 28st before Halloween epiphany

TYSON FURY feared he was going to have a heart attack because of drugs, junk food and alcohol during his darker days.
The Gypsy King ballooned up to 28 stone when his career went off the rails after the win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

But the 32-year-old had an epiphany while in the pub on Halloween which led him to turn his life around.
Speaking in his new book ‘The Furious Method’, as revealed by The Mirror, Fury has revealed he was left feeling suicidal as he battled against depression, drug and alcohol abuse.
He writes: “Within a month of being crowned world heavyweight champ I was an emotional wreck, on my way to a heart attack thanks to Class A drugs, junk food and alcohol.
“I had my epiphany in a pub on Halloween night in 2017, hopelessly overweight and humiliated, wearing a badly fitting skeleton outfit that was skin-tight and emphasised my full 28st.

“Although I’d started training again, I was still drinking and going on benders and making life a misery for my wife, my children and those closest to me.
“Looking around the pub at people half my age I felt like a disgrace and I knew things had to change.
“I left the pub early and later that night I stood in my bedroom in my underpants, fell on my knees and cried out to God to help me.
“Tears were running down my face. When I got back up, I knew the comeback was on because I was finally asking for God’s help and beinghonest that I had a serious problem.

“My mental health and marriage were both hanging by a thread. Everything I previously despised – including drugs – I now did. That’s how much I had come to loathe myself.
“Until then I’d never taken my eyes off being a decent father to my kids, nor had I taken cocaine. And yet here I was keeping the cartels of Colombia afloat while also trying to drink myself into a very early grave.
“I appreciate not everyone will share the same desire to get into the ring and knock ten bells out of someone. But I believe the building blocks of my successful comeback can be useful for anyone.
“I look like an average Joe – bald and a bit fat around the midriff. In the depths of my depression I was suicidal.
“But thanks to support from my family and friends, and by seeking professional help and focusing on a positive outlook on life, I got healthy in body and mind.
“The quality of our thinking informs everything we do, from the moment we get up in the morning to whether we get up at all.
“Being a fat, lazy bum with millions in the bank is no way to live.
“But being hungry, fit and really alive in the middle of life’s journey – now that’s worth fighting for!

“Every morning as I look out from the balcony of our house at the nearby sea, I count my blessings.
“They say your life is a reflection of what you hold inside of you. And these days I’m glad to say it is light not darkness. Exercise, positivity, being in a happy environment and hitting goals are my remedy to depression.
“And they’ve made me a sunnier, more enthusiastic person in all my roles – as a dad, a husband, a son and a brother.
“Up until I began training for the first Deontay Wilder fight I was drinking 20 to 30 cans of Diet Coke per day. It sounds ridiculous but I loved it. Now I know better – it’s up to us to educate ourselves.
“My mental health is directly linked to exercising and Kristian’s helped me with both. So I’ll finish with three takeaways from Old Baldy Head for a healthy life.”
Fury claimed he once came within seconds of killing himself after driving his Ferrari at 190mph towards a bridge as he ‘wanted to die so bad’.
But the 32-year-old managed to pull off one of sports greatest ever comebacks as he returned to the ring in 2018 when he fought Sefer Seferi.

The Gypsy King has now battled his way back to the top of the heavyweight division after he dethroned WBC king Deontay Wilder in February.
