Tyson Fury heaps praise on Love Island star brother Tommy and insists he landed ‘KO of 2020’ in latest boxing triumph

TYSON FURY has heaped praise on his brother Tommy by insisting he landed the ‘KO of 2020’ with his win over Genadij Krajevskij.
The Gypsy King was quick to laud his Love Island star sibling after he stretched his unbeaten record to 4-0 on Friday night.

Tommy Fury moved to 4-0 with victory over Genadij Krajevski

The half-brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson needed less than two rounds to claim victory with a huge uppercut.
And the elder Fury wasted little time in congratulating Tommy by tweeting: “Best KO of 2020. Highlight knockout.”
Tommy Fury – who is dating fellow Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague – still has some way to go to match Tyson’s unbeaten 30 win, 1 draw record.
The 21-year-old has only fought four times in the last two years and admitted he wanted to take his time against serial loser Krajevskij.

Speaking after his latest knockout, Fury said: “At the end of the day I just needed to ease into it as I’ve been out of it a year.
“I started putting shots together and felt comfortable.
“I’ve had no amateur experience and I’m learning on the job.
“It’s a long road, but we are going to get there.”

Tyson Fury meanwhile has a chance to steal the top KO of 2020 from his half-brother next month.
The Gypsy King is set to make his UK homecoming on December 5 against 28-year-old Agit Kabayel.
The fight will act as a tune up for a potential undisputed title decider with Anthony Joshua, 31, who faces Kubrat Pulev, 39, a week after.

Legendary promoter Bob Arum reveals ‘Mount Rushmore of boxing’ with Floyd Mayweather narrowly missing out

LEGENDARY promoter Bob Arum revealed his ‘Mount Rushmore of boxing’ – with Floyd Mayweather narrowly missing out.
The American National Memorial sculpture, situated in the Black Hills region of South Dakota, features the carved heads of former presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.

And SunSport asked Arum – who has worked with the best across five decades – which past or present stars deserve the recognition to be put on boxing’s own Rushmore.
The iconic Top Rank boss selected Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Harvin Hagler and Manny Pacquiao.
But had he been given a fifth choice, Mayweather would have got the nod.
Here Arum explains his decision making.

    Muhammad Ali
BA: He’s the greatest of all time.
He brought boxing back from the dead, boxing couldn’t get on television in the United States because they had all these mob figures that were controlling boxing.
Ali brought boxing back, he was a superb fighter, and he was a person of the world who elevated boxing to tremendous heights.

    George Foreman
BA: He’s my friend, and the greatest guy that I met.

The comeback that he pulled off in his second career was absolutely amazing and legendary to win the heavyweight championship at aged 45.

    ‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler
BA: He fought everybody, he was a consummate professional and he came from nothing.
He wasn’t an Olympian, people ignored him when he was coming up.
But he put that all aside, he had these two Italian-American guys from Brockton, the Petronelli brothers and they stuck together as a team and he elevated himself to the top of the sport.

    Manny Pacquiao
BA: He really brought the Asian fans, the Filipinos, Malaysian people and made them interested in boxing.
He achieved great feats whether it was his beat down of De La Hoya, he elevated boxing during that period.

    Floyd Mayweather

Kell Brook reveals incredible body transformation as the ripped British star prepares to fight Terence Crawford tonight

KELL BROOK has gone from tubby to trim ahead of his biggest fight in years.
In 2019, the Sheffield star ballooned to 15 stone as a number of major contests fell through.

The former champ (left) had piled on the pounds last yearCredit: Twitter @KidGalahad90

But, as he approaches Saturday night’s clash with Terence Crawford, Brook is in immaculate shape.
Facing the undefeated American at welterweight, he is back in the division he held a world title in for almost three years.
The 34-year-old had to battle back up the ladder after failing in his middleweight step-up bid against Gennady Golovkin in 2016, which was followed by Errol Spence Jr snatching his IBF welterweight belt.
Having gone without a fight for the entirety of 2019, Brook had to drop four stone for February’s return at light-middleweight against Mark DeLuca.

That victory set him on course for a Las Vegas showdown with Crawford, and another challenge to trim the pounds.
Brook weighed in on the 10st 7lb limit at the MGM Grand on Friday.

He said: “People have been writing me off and saying this is an easy fight for Terence.
“But I have taken myself away from my missus, my daughters, all of my family to get ready for this and push myself in training camp.

“I have no excuses. There will be no excuses.
“Terence is getting the best version of me, ever.”
Brook has excised promoter Eddie Hearn, trainer Dominic Ingle and Sky Sports ahead of the fight.
It is an example of the ruthless attitude the former champ has adopted in his quest for a second crown.

The Yorkshire-born fighter is in tip-top condition for Saturday’s fight

He told SunSport in February: “When I first got back I was massive, around 15st.
“I started slowly and made baby steps and slowly picked the pace up.
“I should have boxed in December [2019] but that fell through, the old me would have thrown my toys out of the pram and enjoyed Christmas.
“But this time I trained all the way through and I am so happy because I am in a great position and I feel fantastic.”

Tommy Fury fight LIVE RESULTS: Love Island star WINS with a brutal round two KO leaving Krajevskij needing oxygen

TOMMY FURY recorded an impressive KO win on his return to the ring against Genadij Krajevskij.
The Love Island star dominated the fight throughout and produced a brutal right uppercut knockout just before the end of the second round.

Lithuanian Krajevskij was left requiring oxygen in the aftermath of the fight but was thankfully able to walk away from the ring.
    Follow all the reaction below…

    MAE DAY
Molly-Mae Hague cheered on Tommy Fury from home as he secured a spectacular second round win.
And she wrote: “MY CHAMP!!!!! Now get home to me.”
And Tommy said in response that he can’t wait to get back to her, stating: “A happy fighter is a dangerous fighter.”

    HEFF SOME OF THAT
Frank Warren was full of praise for Mark Heffron despite a brilliant win for Denzel Bentley, who becomes the new British Middleweight champ.

    FOUR IRON
Let’s take another look at the four-punch combination that saw Tommy Fury snatch a commanding win over Genadij Krajevskij.

    ‘HUNDRED PER CENT A MCDONALD’S’
After an impressive night’s work, Tommy Fury revealed he’s off to McDonald’s.

“If I smell blood, call me Jaws because I’m all over you” 🦈
“All I need is experience, and when I’ve got that everybody better watch out” ⛔@tommytntfury reveals he’s off to McDonalds after tonight’s win 🍔 pic.twitter.com/1w67L651fQ
    — Frank Warren (@frankwarren_tv) November 13, 2020

    ‘IT’S QUITE SAD’
Tommy Fury’s promoter Frank Warren says he will not be watching Mike Tyson’s exhibition with Roy Jones Jr in two weeks.
He commented: “It’s on BT and I work with BT. For me, I have no interest in it.
“By interest, I don’t like the idea of guys that age fighting.
“I know it’s going to be a so-called exhibition match but I have no interest.
“They’re obviously doing it for money and I think it’s quite sad that they’re doing what they’re doing.
“They should not be doing it, boxing is a young man’s game.”

    LIFE ON MARS
Tommy Fury said he’d be ready for a fight with Deontay Wilder’s brother Marsellos in the build-up to tonight’s win.
He commented: “I see a lot of people tweeting about wanting to fight me but I never saw that before I went into Love Island so I know what they are after.
“If Marsellos Wilder is one of those then I will happily oblige.
“My advice for him would be to keep quiet and stay in America where he can try to help his brother recover from what Tyson did to him, fair and square.”

    BENTLEY MOTORING
Denzel Bentley produced a powerful performance to become the British Middleweight champion against Mark Heffron.

    ‘I’M LEARNING ON THE JOB’
Tommy Fury was impressed with his display as he knocked out Lithuania’s Genadij Krajevskij in the second round.
He said: “At the end of the day I just needed to ease into it as I’ve been out of it a year.
“I started putting shots together and felt comfortable.
“I’ve had no amateur experience and I’m learning on the job.
“It’s a long road, but we are going to get there.

    FISTS OF FURY
Here’s that brutal right uppercut KO from Tommy Fury again…

    HEFFRON HORROR
Denzel Bentley needed only two rounds to inflict terrible damage on Mark Heffron and a few more to secure the British title win…

    CHAMP
Bentley said: “It feels great. I join the likes of Terry Downes by going from the Fisher amateur club to British middlweight champion.
“I knew I hurt him with the right hand to the eye. All week I told everyone I would stop him.
“I knew, if I held my ground, that he would not be able to stand with me.
“I want another title, another belt next. Get me another one!”

    WELT-ER WEIGHT
That eye was too bad to carry on…

    EYESORE
Oldham hardman Mark Heffron was on course to slug away for 12 rounds for the vacant middleweight title.
But he overextended a right hand and was countered by razor-sharp Denzel Bentley.
The second-round ping did not look concussive but the wound that grew of Heffron’s eye was gruesome and the ref had to call it off.
The Lonsdale belt moves from Liam Williams to Bentley…

    ALL OVER – BENTLEY WINS
Denzel Bentley wins after clobbering Mark Heffron’s eye utterly closed and purple and bloody.
Bentley becomes British middleweight champion by outboxing the dangerous Oldham banger.
Heffron was not hurt or wobbled – from the second-round blow – but he was utterly blinded by the counter punch and did well to last three more rounds.
Excellent boxing here. A new British champion is crowned.

    ROUND FOUR
Bentley plays with his stances at the start of the fouth, knowing his prey is wounded badly.
Heffron covers up and retreats to the ropes after another banging.
Bentley is oozing confidence while Heffron remains a dangerous beast on the counter.
The South Londoner can edge away with more and more rounds. This is another in the bank.

    ROUND THREE
Heffron’s eye is horrendous, has his corner told him to go for bust?
Bentley lands another right hand to put the Oldham man further on the back foot.
Heffron must be so concerned with guarding that growing welt over his cheek.
It’s a purple and bloody pulp that will act as a magnet to Bentley’s two heavy hands.

    ROUND TWO
Bentley catches most of Heffron’s shots at the start of the second.
The Londonder lands a counter right after Heffron over-extended with a jab to the body.
Bentley has whacked a bloody swelling into Heffron’s left eye.
It’s a horrible bulbous growing bulge of a welt over Heffron’s cheekbone.
This will get called off soon unless Heffron’s corner can perform a miracle.

    ROUND ONE
Oldham’s Heffron has only lost to the brilliant Welshman Liam Williams.
Bentley, 25, is undefeated after just 13 wins.
The Battersea man is guided by Martin Bowers, who is guiding Daniel Dubois rapidly toward a heavyweight world title.
Bentley looks to counter off Heffron’s jab but Heffron lands a couple of left hooks that will give the judges headaches.

    FUGEES!
Yes Mark Heffron from Oldham. Proper banging tune. Ready or not? Here I come, you can’t hide.. Gonna find you, and make you want me…
Denzel ‘2 sharp’ coming out at the BT Sport studios now.
Heffron is the banger, Bentley is the switch-hitting boxer… what a rematch!

    BRITISH TITLE NOW
Mouthwatering middleweight action now as Denzel Bentley and Mark Heffron rematch after their summer draw,
The September original was a classic and Welsh banger Liam Williams has dropped the Lonsdale belt in the meantime so it’s up for grabs now.
Heffron is the dangerous Northern banger. Bentley is the South London boxer coming up the Peacock Gym way.
    You split them!

    DUBOIS V JOYCE
David Haye keeps it simple: “Joe Joyce has one of the best chins in the business but nobody wants to take those punches.
“Dubois’ confidence is huge but he can rely on it too much or be comfortable in it.
“I know Joyce is experienced. I think Dubois expects Joyce to come at him.
“Dubois needs a big gas tank because I have seen Joe’s in the gym and I know it is there.
“I have a favouite because I have seen Joe do it.”

    FAST & FURIOUS
Tommy Fury is a charming boy who does not blow his own trumpet.
The light-heavy lad is now 4-0 and chugging along nicely.
Hall of fame promoter Frank Warren has told anyone moaning about his easy start to the pro game t gang on his door.
The Queensberry boss is guiding the starlet with kid gloves after zero amateur experience.
    WATCH THIS SPACE!

    HAYEMAKER
Cruiserweight and heavyweight ace David Haye encourages Tommy Fury to fight a couple of times a month and spar as often as possible.
The retired ace hopes the prospect is not rushed.
Fury said: “I needed to ease my way in after a year out.
“I just need more of it and that is the simple answer, I would fight every couple of weeks if I could.”

    PHEW!
Tommy Fury victim Genaddij Krajevskij is picked up and carried off of the floor after his second round KO.
The young light-heavyweight sibling of Tyson shows off more skills by handing the journeyman his 12 consecutive loss.
Fury is now 4-0 and needs to be stepped up to prove his TNT nickname is not just smoke and mirrors.

    ROUND TWO – ALL OVER!
The Love Isand ace needs to register harder rounds against stiff opposition and this opener is a decent learning curve.
Krajevskij is a limited but hard man but allows Fury to show his working, after hours in the gym with father Big John Fury.
Fury looks for a lead right uppercut and a hook to the body but the 0-11 stooge stays out of trouble.
The celeb slugger is yet to hurt Krajevskij but has shown a decent improvement in skills after racing to 3-0 against hired bodies.
And Krajevskij is down and out after a monster of a right hand!

Evander Holyfield fears rival Mike Tyson, 54, will gas out after Roy Jones Jr bout and NEVER give him trilogy fight

EVANDER HOLYFIELD has claimed that his old rival Mike Tyson will gas out in his comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr.
And the ex-heavyweight champion, 54, has revealed his fear that Iron Mike, 54, will NEVER step back inside the ropes to complete their trilogy.

Mike Tyson will make his comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr

Evander Holyfield admitted a trilogy fight against Iron Mike is now unlikely

Holyfield – who twice beat the Baddest Man on the Planet – is training again to return for an exhibition, but is yet to have a confirmed opponent.
Tyson meanwhile is facing Roy Jones Jr, 51, in an eight-round pay-per-view spectacle next weekend.
And Holyfield admitted that his heavyweight rival’s decision to avoid him has squashed any hope of them facing each other for a third time.
In an exclusive interview with SunSport, he said: “You can’t risk the fact Mike chose to fight him first, it should’ve been me first I believe.

“And it’s kind of muddy the waters. My whole thing is if they fight first, I just don’t think there will be a second match with me – my third match with Mike.
“Because it doesn’t matter because there won’t be anything left in Mike.
“The thing is it’s really about what happens performance-wise when we get in the ring – people don’t just want to pay for the sake of it, people want to see something interesting.
“People want to see something and they want to see some competitors, they realize you’re now old but it ain’t about just how much money they going to pay for the trilogy fight.”

You can’t risk the fact Mike chose to fight him first, it should’ve been me first I believe
Evander Holyfield on Mike Tyson facing Roy Jones Jr.

He later added: “I really think that between Mike and myself that I would like to be first, because at our ages you may only get a one shot and never get another shot. I’m 58, he’s 54! I have to be first not the second.”
Holyfield first beat Tyson in 1996, winning in round 11 in what was considered an upset.
They rematched a year later, in the infamous the ‘Bite Fight’, where Iron Mike was disqualified after biting the Real Deal’s ear in round three.
SunSport previously reported that Tyson has been accused of being ‘scared’ to rematch Holyfield having been offered a trilogy bout ‘multiple times’.

When asked for his take, Holyfield said: “Well, my thought is that a person has a choice – you do pretty much what you want to do.
“That’s what he chose: not to fight me but instead fight Roy Jones Jr.
“Someone asked me, “If you thought that you’d lose against Mike Tyson would you still fight him anyway?” I said, “Well, I would never fight if I thought I would lose against Mike, or anyone else.
“I can’t just sit there with that mentality, there’s no challenge there then for me – knowing that you stand a chance to lose.
“I don’t know why he said yes to him (Jones Jr.) but life is about decisions you make.
“When I spoke with Mike about fighting him he pretty much let me know he was doing something with someone else already.
“It’s not like something specific came up initially, but it was the thing with Mike and myself everything came up incidentally.”

When I spoke with Mike about fighting him he pretty much let me know he was doing something with someone else already
Evander Holyfield on a trilogy fight with Mike Tyson

Tyson has already claimed that he is ‘better than ever physically and mentally’ ahead of his November 28 comeback bout with Jones Jr.
Holyfield, who stayed on the fence when asked to pick a winner, did weigh in to admit the conditioning of the two heavyweight icons – who have a combined age of 105 – will be key.
He told SunSport: “Roy Jones has got the faster hands, but Mike has the harder shots.
“It will depend on how good of a condition the fighters are. If they go power to power, I know Mike Tyson has the advantage there and can beat him, but also Roy Jones has the speed and what would happen if he could catch Mike?
“So, either way there’s some advantages on both sides. Mike was more than a street fighter or boxer. Mike was clever.

“I’m one of the only guys that beat him and gave him a hard time. He was shorter than others but he was able to beat 6 ft 3 6 ft 5 guys.
“Mike was a student of the game of boxing. He is someone to a lot of people where you expect the unknown.
“For his size and weight he fought hard and he was terrific.”

Brook: “I’ve had the bone broken in an eye and not been able to see.
“That’s his opinion. Let’s see if he can make me quit. Let’s see if he can break me, because, you know, I’m willing to die in that ring.
“I’m telling you now, this is sh— or bust for me. Everything’s gone into this fight — everything. It’s not a joke. This is a serious game.”

Denzel Bentley becomes British middleweight champ after Mark Heffron retired on stool because of HORROR eye injury

DENZEL BENTLEY became the new British middleweight champion after a gruesome stoppage win over Mark Heffron.
Bentley forced a fourth round TKO after a continued barrage with the right hand saw Heffron’s eye close SHUT.

Denzel Bentley (left) is the new British middleweight champion after a TKO win over Mark Heffron

Mark Heffron’s eye was swollen completely shut with the referee waving off the fight at the end of the fourth round

The referee and doctors waved off the fight with Heffron unable to open his left eye.
The pair had fought to a draw just two months ago but Bentley looked a level above at the BT Sport Studios in Stratford.
The pair were even in the first but Bentley began to land right-hand bombs, with swelling showing as early as the second round.
In the third and fourth – and with Heffron’s eye closing rapidly – Bentley was able to land heavy punches at will, inflicting yet more damage to the eye.

The referee waved off the fight at the end of the fourth round with Heffron unable to open his eye

Bentley said: “It feels good man, this is my first title
“I’m from the Fisher (amateur club), with a load of British champions, Terry Downes, Lloyd Honeyghan, Ted Cheeseman, all Fisher boys, so I am going to follow in their footsteps.
“I knew I was hurting him with the right hand, I saw the reaction and put him on the backfoot.
“The last fight, he didn’t go back once, but the last fight I wasn’t putting my shots together like that, I thought I could move and win it a bit easier.

“This time I knew I had to stay there, hold my ground and put in the big shots. I felt stronger, I felt better in the gym. I knew if I held my ground, I knew I would be able to take him out.”
