Jake Paul blasted for not being a ‘true boxer’ after posting brutal sparring footage against ‘inexperienced fighters’

JAKE PAUL was blasted for not being a ‘true boxer’ after posting one-sided sparring footage against ‘inexperienced fighters’.
The YouTuber faces ex-NBA star Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s boxing comeback next week.

Jake Paul was blasted for not being a ‘true boxer’ after posting one-sided sparring footage

Paul released several clips of him hurting and stopping sparring partners

And he sent a message to his next opponent online after releasing several clips of him hurting and stopping sparring partners.
But the stunt was not received well online, as the 23-year-old was accused of picking ‘low quality opponents’.
Former UFC and current Bellator fighter Gerald Harris tweeted: “No true boxer post sparring videos of them hurting inexperienced fighters.”

Paul made his professional debut in January, stopping internet rival ‘AnEsonGib’ in one round.

Robinson, who has not played in the NBA since the 2015-2016 season, on the other hand is boxing for the first time.
Paul has given his opponent little chance of success in the ring or of ever fighting again after their co-headliner.
And he admits to overlooking Robinson, 36, as he called for bigger fights in the future.
That includes UFC pair Conor McGregor, 32, and Jorge Masvidal, 36.

He told the Mayweather Boxing Channel: “I want to prove to people that I’m a legitimate boxer, legitimate professional boxer with skill and someone that people should be scared of.
“I have knockout power, I’m dangerous, and to me that’s super important and again, that’s just going to take multiple fights to prove that.
“I want to fight the biggest names in the sport, I want to take UFC fighters like Ben Askren, like Masvidal, whoever it is and bring them over to boxing, put them in a ring and go head-to-head with them.
“I want to fight Conor McGregor eventually. Whoever wants to get in the boxing ring with me, I want to be able to do it and beat them.” More

Deontay Wilder lists five alternative opponents to ‘cheater’ Tyson Fury as he vows to return to ring at start of 2021

DEONTAY WILDER insists he will be back in the ring at the start of 2021 – with or without Tyson Fury.
The Bronze Bomber is adamant the Gypsy King and his own trainer Mark Breland conspired against him in the February bout he was bulldozed in.

Deontay Wilder has accused Tyson Fury of cheating during the world title fight earlier this year

The long-awaited trilogy fight failed to materialise, with both parties aiming the blame across the ring and Fury tried to move on with a December 5 UK tune-up that has since been axed.
A US mediator is currently examining the contract to decide whether Fury owes the 35-year-old American a third fight – or a pay off – and Wilder claims he is ready to move on after again accusing the Brit of a range of misdemeanours.
The claims which include Fury tampering with his gloves have been denied by the world champion and his promoter Frank Warren.
Wilder told Brian Custer’s Last Stand Podcast: “You can see me back in the ring sometime in the first week of January, the latest early February and we’re looking through opponents now.

“We’re not going to sit around and wait on a coward that has an obligation to fulfill but ran away from it.
“We’re not going to sit around, we’ve got to get back in the ring. I’ve got a lot of fans looking forward to me stepping back into the ring and doing what I do best.
“I’ve been ready since September.  You’re not a man of your word, you’re not fulfilling your obligation.
“I helped you out, I put millions in your pocket, I made you relevant, now it’s time for you to do the same thing, that’s all we’re saying.

“They sat around, it was their obligation to put the fight on.  They waited all the way till October came, then talking about we abandoned the contract. That’s a lie!”

Wilder has been hammered for blaming his comic-inspired ringwalk costume of draining him of energy and has tried to backtrack.
But he is sticking to his guns over the bizarre belief that Fury tampered with his gloves and Breland spiked his drink, after ignoring the order to never throw in the towel.
He said: “I’m not excusing the costume, the costume had a little weight on it, but it wasn’t enough to make me feel the way I felt in the ring, it wasn’t enough to not have my legs.
“I’ve been preaching for five years, don’t ever throw in the towel with Deontay Wilder, Deontay Wilder is never out until it’s over with, because of my heart and will and the power I possess.
“I do feel like he (Breland) was a part of it and it’s not for me to explain to anyone. I let out my emotions, I said it, people can believe what they want.
“Fury’s a known cheater and you can go back to the rap sheet and history of him cheating even with the Klitschko fight.
“I haven’t yet heard valid proof of how gloves flap all the way back, why your hands were in the bottom of the glove.
“Why did my ear have scratches deep inside my ear because of your nails?  We have so much proof but it just shows you got to cheat me to beat me.”
One Brit who could benefit from the fallout is Dillian Whyte, who is suddenly at the top of Wilder’s Christmas list.
The Brixton Body snatcher chased a fight for Wilder’s old WBC crown for years and was always rejected. But suddenly he’s flavour of the week.

When asked about his next opponent, Wilder said: “Realistically, Dillian Whyte would be on the list, Andy Ruiz would be one on the list, Robert Helenius, Joseph Parker.
“Oleksandr Usyk, I would love to fight him because he called me out.
“There’s a lot of guys on the list. When that phone rings just accept the opportunity.”

Floyd Mayweather slams critics who say he ‘needs money’ ahead of Tokyo fight and claims ‘I got £1million cash on me now’

FLOYD MAYWEATHER has rubbished suggestions that he ‘needs money’ ahead of his comeback fight in Japan.
And the retired legend backed up his argument by revealing he had £1million in cash on him at the time.

Mayweather announced he will return to the ring next February for another exhibition bout in Tokyo.
It comes as Mike Tyson, 54, and Roy Jones Jr, 51, prepare to come out of retirement next weekend for their own pay-per-view spectacle.
Mayweather refused to knock the iconic pair for their fight for the ages and insisted his comeback has nothing to do with recouping wealth.
He told USA Today: “Let them do what they want to do, you know?

“I can’t tell nobody what to do and what not to do. Because when I do my exhibition, I don’t want anybody telling me what to do and what not to do.
“And I don’t want anybody telling me, ‘Ah, Floyd needs money,’ I’m OK, I’m great, I’m doing just fine.
“I got probably $1.3 million (£1m) [in cash right now] on me. I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.”
The 43-year-old made an astonishing $1BILLION throughout his career, as he dominated the pay-per-view market.

But still Brit Amir Khan – who tirelessly chased a fight with Mayweather – predicted his old rival could have somehow ‘spent up’ his fortune.
The unbeaten American officially retired from professional boxing in 2017 after beating UFC star Conor McGregor in ten rounds.
He did lace up the gloves a year later to face featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in a one round beating.
Mayweather has since teased another comeback having spent this year training and coaching fighters in his Las Vegas gym.
And he has now confirmed he will fight again next February on a Far East MMA show.
Mayweather said: “There are so many people that are in the work world that retire and still do different things and make a couple of dollars just to have fun.
“Same thing I’m doing. I’m having fun, enjoying life. Why can’t I do some sparring for, you know, some heavy cash?”

Kubrat Pulev warns Anthony Joshua his ‘end will come like lightning’ as he has no ‘mental toughness’

KUBRAT PULEV has warned Anthony Joshua his ‘end is going to come like lightning’ next month.
The two heavyweights are set to go head-to-head on December 12 at the Wembley Arena.

Pulev, with a record of 28-1, has revealed his desire to ‘expose him to the world for a second time’.
Joshua suffered the first defeat of his career when he lost to 25/1 underdog Andy Ruiz Jr in June 2019.
But he clawed back his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles with a win in the rematch in December.
Pulev, speaking to Marc Gatford via the Betway Insider blog, said: “This is going to be a mind game and a chess game for as long as it lasts – a master chess game – but the only difference is the end is going to come like lightning.

“I can tell the fans that I will expose AJ again and prove they have been idolising the wrong guy. I will expose him to the world for a second time.”
When asked about Joshua’s weaknesses, the Bulgarian said: “I have been watching his fights carefully. He has a good style and he is a good specimen, but he has not shown any mental toughness.
“Yes, he has skills, but he hasn’t shown the mental strength. This is something from within, in the blood of a man, and he does not have it.
“Whatever mental toughness he’s got, I know I’m the harder person. This is the difference – my toughness will prevail.”

Pulev also revealed the brutal training regime has undergone ahead of the fight.
The 39-year-old said: “I have been running 10km in a 50-minute range in the Pirin mountains in southwestern Bulgaria to prepare my stamina.
“I have also been climbing the famous ‘Tooth’ peak, which has really tough terrain and gets to around 2600m-2700m high, where the air gets very thin.
“I have also been training at a famous Belmeken Olympic sport complex up in the mountains.
“It was built for the old East German outfit that was looking for the best conditions anywhere in Europe.
“It’s a high-altitude base camp away from the noise of the city, a place to build the mind and the body while isolated in the mountains. #

“AJ said he will steamroll me. Well, we bring an avalanche back down the mountain.
“Physically and mentally I feel the best I’ve felt in my life. I feel amazing and ready.
“He can try his best, but I can assure him one thing, he may have seen some very good opponents, but he hasn’t seen anything like me in the ring ever before.”
Should AJ get past Pulev, he could face fellow Brit Tyson Fury as part of a two-fight package in 2021.

Tyson Fury wears amazing Undertaker-inspired outfit to pay respects to WWE legend for Final Farewell at Survivor Series

TYSON FURY has paid tribute to retiring WWE star The Undertaker with a ‘special message’ on Instagram.
The Deadman, 55, called time on his legendary three-decade long career in the squared-circle this summer after beating AJ Styles at WrestleMania.

Taker, real name Mark Calaway, is returning at Survivor Series on Sunday for his ‘Final Farewell’ – exactly 30 years since his debut.
Heavyweight boxing champ Fury is no stranger to the wrestling world after his victory in WWE over Braun Strowman at last year’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.
He has been linked with another comeback into the business to face fellow Brit and current WWE Title holder Drew McIntyre.
Despite verbal jousting between the pair, Fury has been a lot more complimentary towards The Phenom.

And he even dressed up in similar attire to Undertaker and wore a replica WWE belt to record a message for him.
In a clip posted on Instagram, the Gypsy King said: “Hi this is Tyson Fury and this is a special message to The Undertaker, celebrating 30 years in WWE.
“Fantastic. Thank you very much for all the great nights you’ve given us over the years.
“God bless you, see you around.”

Meanwhile, Fury will not be back boxing until 2021 after Deontay Wilder failed to get his trilogy match against him.
The Englishman then declared he wanted to fight on December 5 but has not been able to get a deal over the line.
He is now likely to fight in February or March in America, pushing back a proposed meeting with Anthony Joshua to later in 2021.

Mike Tyson to wear iconic black trunks in nod to 1980s world champion years in comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr

MIKE TYSON will wear iconic blank trunks in a nod to his 1980s world champion years for his comeback fight with Roy Jones Jr.
Iron Mike returns to the ring on November 28 for the long-awaited bout aged 54.

And he looks set to be back in his famous black shorts for the exhibition fight.
Tyson made the classic trunks part of his image during his years at the top of the sport.
Plenty of iconic photos from the late 1980s when he was at his absolute peak are complete with the simple all-black design – a far cry from the glitzy outfits of the modern era.
And as well as having the throwback black shorts, it looks as though The Baddest Man on the Planet will also be boasting a physique in November not dissimilar to the one he had at his world-champion best.

Pictures from training show the incredible body transformation he has gone through to get ready for his comeback, shedding the pounds and packing on the muscle by hitting the gym hard.
The fight against Jones Jr will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thanksgiving weekend.
It is the first time Tyson has stepped back into the ring since ending his professional career in 2005 with defeat to Kevin McBridge.
The fight will be contested over eight, two-minute rounds.

No headguards will be worn but the fighters will be wearing larger 12-ounce gloves.
Technically the fight can only be stopped if there is a knock-out, but California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Forster said he will stop it as soon as a cut appears.
But Tyson said: “We’re throwing punches at each other. This is going to be my definition of fun. Broken eye sockets, broken jaw, broken rib. That’s fun to me.”

Lennox Lewis boasts he would have beaten prime Tyson as he is ‘five-dimensional fighter’ compared to Iron Mike’s ‘one’

LENNOX LEWIS insists he would have beaten Mike Tyson even in his prime because he is a ‘five-dimensional’ fighter.
Back in 2002 the two boxing legends finally got it on in the ring after an explosive build-up.

The Brit says Iron Mike was just a ‘one-dimensional’ fighterCredit: Getty

It was the most lucrative boxing match of all time, but the pre-fight antics threatened to steal the show and even stop it all-together.
In his new documentary, Lennox: The Untold Story, it re-lives how in what was supposed to be just the usual pre-fight face-off, all hell broke loose when Tyson marched towards Lewis and swung for his bodyguard.
Tyson was forced to pay Lewis around £260,000 for biting his leg, while the brawl almost saw the mega-fight cancelled all together.
Lewis would eventually have the last laugh with victory – but many claim the British icon was only taking on a well past his best Iron Mike.

However, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Lewis is adamant he would still have had his hand raised if the pair had collided ten years earlier.
    He said: “Yes – I’m a five-dimensional fighter and he’s a one-dimensional fighter.”
Lewis added: “Mike Tyson is a great guy in one sense. I knew him when he was younger.
“I went up to spar with him after the junior world championship where I won a gold medal and his team were saying I didn’t box the best guy.

“Me and my trainer at the time, Arnie Beam, drove to Catskills and met him.
“He took me to his room, he was nice, we looked at lots of old films and he was more into boxing at the time that I was.
“He knew all the old guys and all the different techniques of boxing.
“So I grew to really like and know him when I was an amateur but then when he went into his pro career I never really knew why he was acting like that.
“Then we fought and he was just the same guy I met when we were 14 or 15.”

Las Vegas was due to host the grudge match 18 years ago but the Nevada State Athletic Commission decided not to re-license Tyson, who comes out of retirement later this month for an exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr.
As a result, promoters were left scrambling to find an alternative to the fight capital of the world.
Memphis would eventually be selected as the pay-per-view was forced back by two months.
Tyson at the time had not lost since 1997, when he was disqualified for biting Evander Holyfield’s ear.
Lewis on the other hand was the unified heavyweight king and golden boy of the division.
And it would be he who retained that crown with an eight round knockout. More
