Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr: UK start time, date, live stream, undercard, rules for boxing fight

BOXING legends Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr will face off in a spectacular exhibition fight in LA.
The 54-year-old Tyson will face Jones, 51, in a long-awaited bout, with the Baddest Man on the Planet dropping an incredible SIX stone to get in shape for the clash.

How Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr match up

The California State Commission say the exhibition will be fought under the rules that both men will not look for the knock-out and will instead “exhibit” their skills, but both fighters have come out and said the contrary.
When is Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr?
The big fight is now set for Thanksgiving Weekend – Saturday, November 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
It was originally set to take place on September 12 but the event has been postponed until later in the year.
The undercard is expected to start at 9pm ET which is 1am GMT and the main event will follow between 4am and 5am GMT.
The legends are set to eight rounds in the ring, with Youtube star Jake Paul and NBA star Nate Robinson confirmed for the undercard.

Coverage begins at 8pm ET, which is midnight in UK. The undercard is set to start from 1am GMT.
The social media site Triller will also be airing the PPV fight.
Emmy-winner Mario Lopez hosts the show, and musical acts will be announced for performances too.
Who is on the Tyson vs Jones Jr undercard?
YouTuber Jake Paul leads the way on the four-fight card when he takes on ex-NBA star Nate Robinson.
Elsewhere KSI’s trainer Viddal Riley is also in action as is former super-middleweight champion Badou Jack.

What are the rules of the fight?
The fight will be contested over eight, two-minute rounds.

No headguards will be worn but the fighters will be wearing larger 12-ounce gloves.
Technically the fight can only be stopped if there is a knock-out, but California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Forster said he will stop it as soon as a cut appears.
Forster said: “Tyson and Jones Jr. won’t be wearing headgear for the fight. They’ll be lacing up 12-ounce gloves and there won’t be any judges present at the fight to score the action. So, technically, there won’t be a winner unless a knockout somehow occurs, or either fighter is deemed unfit to continue.
“They can move around and make some money, but I told them if you get cut, it’s over.”

Roy Jones Jr, 51, last fought only two years ago
    What have they said?
Mike Tyson: “We’re throwing punches at each other. This is going to be my definition of fun … broken eye sockets, broken jaw, broken rib. That’s fun to me.”
Roy Jones Jr: “He’s still Mike Tyson, he’s still one of the strongest, most explosive people who ever touched a boxing ring. If anything, I made a mistake going in with him.
“He’s the bigger guy, he’s the explosive guy. He’s going to have all the first-round fireworks, not me.
“I do have first-round fireworks, but he’s known for more first-round fireworks than anybody to ever touch boxing, other than maybe George Foreman.” More

Watch Mike Tyson throw punch at enemy Floyd Mayweather with Money not even flinching in incredible throwback video

MIKE TYSON and Floyd Mayweather have been on bad terms since 2001.
And Iron Mike nearly took the beef to a whole new level in 2014 when he pretended to punch him on stage.

The pair have been on bad terms since 2001Credit: YouTube / ESNEWS

But the stunt did not faze ‘Money’ Mayweather who laughed it off and proceeded to awkwardly hug the heavyweight icon.
The pair reportedly fell out after a 2001 police raid on Tyson’s Las Vegas home which Iron Mike accused Mayweather of calling.
Tyson could never prove Mayweather’s involvement and later admitted he was over it.
He said: “I’m good with it now. You can forgive, but you have to remember.”

But this was not the case in 2014, when the two met on stage at a boxing event.
Mayweather could be seen shaking hands with other well known boxing guests before Tyson rushed up to him.
Mayweather held his hand out to shake but Tyson ignored and it threw a punch at the middleweight champ – deliberately missing his face by just inches.
Money did not even flinch and instead smiled and awkwardly hugged Tyson – who makes a comeback to the ring this Saturday against Roy Jones Jr.

The footage seems to show the incident ending in a jovial fashion but that illusion was shattered a year later when Tyson slammed Mayweather for suggesting he was the greatest boxer of all time.
Iron Mike said: “He’s very delusional.
“Listen, if he was anywhere near that realm of great as Muhammad Ali, he’d be able to take his kids to school by himself.
“OK, he can’t take his kids to school by himself, and he’s talking about he’s great?
“Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people.
“It’s being accepted by the people. He can’t take his kids alone to school by himself. He’s a little scared man. He’s a very small, scared man.”
Tyson also revealed his one fantasy fight would be against Mayweather.
Mayweather recently opened up on another feud – this time with rapper 50 Cent.
And YouTuber Logan Paul is sparring again having called Mayweather out – saying he ‘would snap the f***er in half’.

Conor Benn ready to show he’s the daddy as father-to-be eyes summer showdown with Josh Kelly

CONOR BENN will swap dirty nappies and rusks for trash talk and a ruck if Josh Kelly accepts the father-to-be’s challenge for a summer war.
The 24-year-old, son of British ring legend Nigel, aced the biggest test of his exciting career on Saturday night, pinging respected Sebastian Formella all over Wembley for a unanimous points win.

Conor Benn has an impressive record of 17-0 including 11 knockoutsCredit: News Group Newspapers Ltd

After the 17th consecutive win of his welterweight career, The Destroyer, who will become a dad for the first time at the start of 2021, lasered his focus on Sunderland stylist Kelly after years of needle between the pair.
Benn roared: “I do want Josh Kelly next year.
“The only domestic fight I’m interested in, the only domestic fight that the public keeps talking about, is the Josh Kelly fight.
“And he will regret not taking this fight earlier because my stock is only rising, I am on the up.

“Forget Kelly’s success in three and four round fights in the amateur game, we’re in the pros now and I have dynamite in both hands.”
Just 18 months ago, few people outside of Benn’s family and corner would have given him much of a chance against the 26-year-old former 2016 Olympian.
But Kelly laboured to two underwhelming points wins and a controversial draw in 2019 before Benn, under the guidance of Tony Sims, produced a career-best performance after a year out of action.
Kelly is scheduled to challenge UK-based Russian David Avanesyan at the end of January for his European title.

And promoter Eddie Hearn then hopes to have an all-English barnstormer at a fan-packed arena somewhere.
“That is a monster summer fight for British boxing,” The Matchroom boss said. “If Conor and Josh Kelly want it, we can do it.”
Kelly, 10-0-1, cannot overlook heavy-handed Avanesyan after he won his last two defences with round-one KOs.

But he confirmed both sides of the mouthwatering 10st 7lbs clash are bang up for the battle.
He said: “There’s one fight on my mind, a more dangerous one than Benn, that’s Avanesyan.
“We offered Benn the fight before, but 2021 there should be a big domestic fight for the European title after I win in January.”

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury to cost new record £29.95 PPV price, reveals Eddie Hearn despite backlash over Pulev fight

IT LOOKS like fans will have to fork out just under £30 to watch Anthony Joshua’s unification fight with Tyson Fury.
That is according to Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, who has already faced backlash over the cost of AJ’s next clash.

AJ will first face Kibrat Pulev next month before the Gypsy KingCredit: Reuters

Viewers will have to shell out £24.95 if they want to watch Joshua defend his world titles against Kubrat Pulev.
The two heavyweights will clash at Wembley Arena on December 12 – albeit behind-closed-doors.
As a result of crowds not being allowed to watch the fight live, AJ is believed to be missing out on some £8MILLION.
The event will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office at a whopping £24.95, equalling the record price to watch AJ’s revenge against Andy Ruiz out in Saudi Arabia in December last year.

Back then, Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn defended that price, saying it was because it was ‘a one off fight where you may not ever see a fight like this again’.
He also insisted it was a decision taken by Sky Sports and not himself, as it is again this time.
However, despite many feeling that figure is too much, if AJ gets past Pulev and goes on to face the WBC title holder Fury it will cost even more.
Speaking to IFL TV over the price to watch the two Brits get it on, Hearn said: “I would think that if the AJ fights moving forwards are £24.95 – Sky’s decision, or whoever else is broadcasting the fight with Sky – I would think £29.95 would be the price point for that fight.”

Hearn attempted to justify the inflated price for the Pulev fight, pointing to the lack of gate revenue.
The Matchroom Boxing supremo said: “We had 70,000 people at Tottenham that are no longer coming so we decided to keep the PPV price the same as his last fight.
“No price increase, despite the fact there are millions and millions no longer coming into the fight.”
The decision, however, means that AJ fans will have to shell out nearly £25 to watch their hero in action for the first time in 12 months – just 13 days before a Christmas in which people are already feeling the strain of a tough financial year.
Joshua, 31, had initially been pencilled in to face Pulev at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in June, in front of a capacity crowd in North London.
But with the coronavirus pandemic having swiftly KO’d that plan, Joshua will now face the 39-year-old Bulgarian at an empty Wembley Arena.

WWE legend Big Show taunted Floyd Mayweather’s punching power despite having nose broken by boxer

WWE star Big Show taunted Floyd Mayweather after the boxing legend broke his nose.
The pair crossed paths in an incredible crossover bout in 2008 at WWE No Way Out.

Floyd Mayweather flattened the WWE superstar with a huge left hook

Big Show, who stands at a staggering 7ft tall, ended up worse for wear after the match but insisted he’d had his nose broken by less, according to WWE legend Chris Jericho.
Jericho lifted the lid on the tale as he revealed he is open to boxing Mike Tyson.
Speaking on his Talk is Jericho podcast, the 50-year-old said: “You can hit me and I’m fine.
“I’ll be fine, and I remember when Big Show had that with Floyd Mayweather.

“He told me Mayweather hit him and Mayweather broke his nose. And Show was like, ‘I’ve had my nose broken by less.'”
After the shocking incident that left fans stunned, the Big Show revealed he asked for boxing legend Mayweather to do exactly that.
He said: “I told Floyd to break my nose. If he didn’t do something huge that night, our angle was dead in the water
“It’s just the size disparity, I was trying to do something different than a normal wrestling angle, so this is an opportunity with a trained professional, who I trusted, and is one of the greatest fighters who ever boxed (to do something special).

“I’d spent a whole year messing around the ring boxing, so I knew he knew how to break my nose without shoving it through the back of my head. It was a left hook, it was awesome.
“There’s a way he could have broken my nose that would have sprayed it all over my face, I mean, I can do that.
“I can hit someone in the nose and spread it all over their face – Floyd did it and it was fine.”

Eddie Hearn reckons Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev is a bargain at £24.95 on PPV despite fan fury at sky-high cost

EDDIE HEARN has defended the decision to price Anthony Joshua’s upcoming bout with Kubrat Pulev at £24.95.
Fans have fumed online at the fee, which equals the British PPV record set by AJ’s win over Andy Ruiz Jr last year.

But Hearn has attempted to justify the price, pointing to the lack of gate revenue.

The lack of crowd could see AJ miss out on up to £8million.
But fans are still upset at what they are being asked to pay.

One reasoned: “I’m not anti-PPV by any stretch, but £25 quid? For Kubrat Pulev?
“Americans have just had Brook-Crawford and Lopez-Loma for free man.”
    While another called it ‘robbery’.
The undercard will feature Tyson Fury’s cousin Hughie in action against Mariusz Wach and Lawrence Okolie’s world title shot against Krzysztof Glowacki.

Mike Tyson’s three wives include one he caught having sex with Brad Pitt, one who is a doctor and ex-con Kiki

BOXING legend Mike Tyson is the most settled he’s ever been.
And that could be because of the influence of his new wife, Lakiha Spicer.

Or it’s possible that the 54-year-old’s admitted cannabis indulgence has mellowed him out.
But over the years his tumultuous lifestyle hasn’t lent well to being a married man.
Before he walked down the aisle with Lakiha, better known as ‘Kiki’, he was wed twice.
First, to American model Robin Givens in 1988, who he caught in bed with Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt.

Then, to doctor Monica Turner for six years.
    ROBIN GIVENS, 1988-89
The most explosive love affair Mike had came at the height of his fame.
They married 11 months after their first date, on which they were reportedly joined by her mother and publicist.
“My social skills consisted of putting a guy in a coma,” he wrote in his memoir, ‘Undisputed Truth’.

“So maybe Robin was just what the doctor ordered.”
According to Tyson, they had a hastily arranged wedding when Givens announced she was pregnant.

He had already given Givens and her mum £3million to buy a New Jersey estate, as well as put £6.5million in another account for her and her mum.
But shortly after money was exchanged, Robin told Mike she had had a miscarriage.
The pair later appeared in cringe-worthy interview with US journalist Barbara Walters, where Givens called Tyson “intimidating” and said her and her mother were frightened of his temper.
Givens filed for divorce soon after the interview, but they continued to see each other.
At that point, Givens began dating Brad Pitt – and Tyson walked in on the pair having sex.
“Dude, don’t strike me,” Pitt said as he was faced with the fierce heavyweight, “don’t strike me.”
“You had to see the look on his face,” Tyson wrote in his book.
“He looked like he was ready to receive his last rites. He also looked stoned out of his gourd.”

But in 1997 he said ‘I do’ to Turner in a quiet Muslim ceremony, seven years after they first met.
Their paths first crossed in 1990 at a party thrown by comedian Eddie Murphy.
The pair stayed in touch, even when Tyson was convicted of raping 18-year-old beauty pageant contestant Desiree Washington and sent to an Indiana jail for three years.
Every two weeks Turner visited Tyson in prison as their romance blossomed.
When he was released they set up home in Maryland, where they had hoped to live the quiet life.
But their romance wasn’t to last – with Turner filing for divorce and claiming adultery four years later.
They have two children together – Rayna and Amir.
    LAKIHA SPICER, 2009-PRESENT
Kiki, 43, first met Tyson aged 18, when they were introduced by promoter Don King after one of his bouts.
However, it wasn’t until the early noughties that they began dating, and they married in 2009 – two weeks after the death of Tyson’s daughter, Exodus.

Most recently, Kiki helped develop Mike’s one-man show ‘The Undisputed Truth’ on Broadway.
But, despite the longevity of their marriage, it’s been fraught with difficulties and suggestions of infidelity.
Tyson said back in January that he had only been faithful to Spicer for the last two years of their marriage in an interview on rapper T.I.’s ExpediTIously podcast.
Kiki has also had her problems with the law.
In 2008, she was sentenced to six months in federal jail for defrauding £60,000 from a company owned by her father.
She claimed she taught maths courses in the Sister Clara Muhammad School, however she allegedly used the school to launder money.

Kiki did time while carrying Tyson’s baby, and when she came out she found her husband hopelessly addicted to drugs.
With her help, Tyson managed to beat his addiction.
