Mike Tyson’s five most incredible knockouts revealed including destroying undefeated Michael Spinks in 91 second blitz

MIKE TYSON was so dangerous in the ring that even he is scared of the man he used to be.
The American, 54, dominated the world of boxing after he was crowned the youngest heavyweight world champion in 1986, aged 20.

Tyson ended his illustrious professional career with a remarkable record of 50-6 with 44 knockouts – and he goes in pursuit of more in his comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr on November 28.
He was renowned throughout his reign for his incredible punching power – as well his petrifying ring walks.
When asked how he transformed himself into a knockout specialist, he credited his trainer Cus D’Amato.
Speaking to GQ, he said: “I think I was born that way.

“But I developed [my knockout ability] through Cus D’Amato telling me repetitiously over and over again to do this movement and to punch with this type of bad intentions.
“And just to have ferociousness and mean intentions whenever you throw punches and stuff.
“And try and punch through your opponent, not at him.”
He called time on his boxing career back in 2005, but SunSport have decided to look back at his five most devastating knockouts.

    5. Larry Holmes – 1988
Tyson was 17 years younger than Holmes when the pair battled it out for the WBA, WBC and IBF titles.
Holmes had been out of the ring for nearly two years, but vowed to knockout his opponent on his return.
But his prediction came back to bite him as the younger, faster and stronger Tyson dominated him from the off.
Tyson dropped him twice in the fourth round, but Holmes managed to climb back to his feet.
The fight was waved off by the referee after Tyson put Holmes flat on his back with a heavy right hand.

    4. Henry Tillman – 1990
Tyson had his reputation to redeem against Tillman following his devastating defeat to 42/1 underdog Buster Douglas.
And he was gunning for revenge against his fellow American after he lost to him twice in the amateur ranks.
But Tyson looked back to his best as he secured a first-round win over the 6ft 3in fighter.
He trapped Tillman in the corner before he put him on the floor with a routine right hook.
    3. Marvis Frazier – 1986
It took Tyson just 30 seconds to find a way past Marvis Frazier – son of heavyweight world champion Joe.
He barely broke a sweat as he secured the quickest knockout of his career.
After he landed a brutal uppercut, Tyson dropped his opponent with a right-left-right combination.
Tyson proved he was worthy of a world title shot as he defeated his opponent in just 33 seconds.

    2. Trevor Berbick – 1986
This was the fight that first penned Tyson’s name in the record books.
He became the youngest heavyweight champion in history at the age of 20 years, four months and 22 days.
Tyson looked ferocious as he sent his opponent crashing to the canvas in the early stages of the second round.
He followed it up with a historic left-hook which left Berbick flopping around the ring.

    1. Michael Spinks – 1988
Tyson left Spinks’ undefeated record in tatters as he battered him in just 91 seconds.
The American knockout specialist left fans stunned as he retained the undisputed heavyweight title.
He dropped Spinks with a right hand to body then sealed the deal with a terrifying left-right combo.
Hall of Famer Spinks admitted he “came up short” before he announced his retirement from boxing after the fight.

George Foreman begs Mike Tyson to call off boxing return at 54 and says ‘no more is needed’ from heavyweight legend

GEORGE FOREMAN has begged Mike Tyson to call off his boxing comeback, saying “no more is needed” from the big-hitting heavyweight legend.
Iron Mike, 54, will make his comeback against Roy Jones Jr on November 28  after 15 years of retirement.

But Foreman, who the oldest world heavyweight champion ever at 45 in 1994 when he beat Michael Moorer, has pleaded with Tyson to keep the gloves off.
Foreman, 71, told World Boxing News: “Tyson has done enough great things for boxing. No more is needed.
“He is in the Hall of Fame and was a mighty puncher.”
Tyson last stepped inside the ring in June 2005 – where he was stopped by Kevin McBride – but will soon make his return 15 years on.

The “Baddest Man on the Planet” was crowned the youngest world champion ever, aged 20, and his illustrious 20-year career saw him knock out 44 of his 50 opponents.
But boxing promoter Frank Warren recently revealed he does not rank Tyson in his top 10 heavyweights of all time.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Warren, 68, said: “Mike Tyson, when he was young and first got into boxing, he was exciting.
“A bit like Daniel Dubois in some ways, he sort of captured the public’s imagination in devastating style.

“He won a world title and everybody was talking about him. For me, he was one of the most exciting young heavyweights.
“However, he doesn’t get in my top ten because he just did not last the course.
“He was sodding around, drugging it and boozing, went to prison. He just didn’t do it for me.”

UFC chief Dana White’s incredible reaction after finding out Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr CANNOT KO each other in fight

UFC president Dana White gave a priceless reaction to hearing Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr are NOT allowed to knock each other out.
The Baddest Man on the Planet, 54, steps back in the ring this weekend for the first time in 15 years against Roy Jones Jr.

Dana White laughed at the news there would be knockout in Mike Tyson’s comeback fight

UFC president White banged his head on the table after journalists told him the nature of the exhibition bout

Tyson has lost six stone and is in incredible shape ahead of his first fight in 15 yearsCredit: https://www.instagram.com/miketyson/

The pair – with a combined age of 105 – are set to do battle in an eight-round exhibition bout at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
But when MMA guru White was informed by journalists after UFC 255 that for an exhibition fight KO’s are deemed ‘too dangerous’ and the scrap would instead be referred to as ‘heavy sparring’ – he couldn’t hide his disbelief.
As reported by talkSPORT, White banged his head on the table and laughed at the unusual rules for a high profile fight.
He said: “There’s no knockouts? They’re not allowed to knock each other out? How do you enforce that?

“I’d like to bet that doesn’t happen. Can you bet on that?! Oh s***! You can’t even bet on this fight?
“I did not know that. I don’t even know what to say to that.”
Iron Mike was famed for his fearsome knockouts during his heavyweight career – finishing 44 of his 50 wins inside the distance.
And despite his age the veteran has got himself in incredible shape for the contest – losing SIX stone for the clash.

The California State Commission, who are in charge of the fight, have decided it isn’t about delivering a brutal KO blow but rather a showcase for ‘exhibiting’ skills.
The pair will wear heavier 12-ounce gloves for the eight two-minute rounds in the headline bout on a busy undercard.
But the contest will be stopped inside the distance if either fighter can’t continue.
And California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Forster said: “Tyson and Jones Jr. won’t be wearing headgear for the fight.
“They’ll be lacing up 12-ounce gloves and there won’t be any judges present at the fight to score the action.
“So, technically, there won’t be a winner unless a knockout somehow occurs, or either fighter is deemed unfit to continue.
“They can move around and make some money, but I told them if you get cut, it’s over.”

How Mike Tyson went bankrupt and regained his fortune with Hollywood roles and cannabis farm

MIKE TYSON is making his boxing comeback – and things are looking good.
With a successful podcast, marijuana ranch and even Hollywood film cameos, Iron Mike, 54, appears to be living the good life again.

Things appear to be going pretty well for Iron MikeCredit: Instagram

But gone are the days of the sort of outlandish lavish spending that saw him blow his estimated £320million fortune and file for bankruptcy back in 2003, however.
In fact, the Baddest Man on the Planet has even managed to become a millionaire again – having recovered from eye-watering debt of around £18m at one point.
But how did Tyson – who faces Roy Jones Jr in his boxing return on Saturday night – manage to blow that fortune in the first place? And how has he managed to rebuild his wealth? SunSport takes a look.

At his 90s peak, Mike Tyson was one of the most famous men on the planet, having conquered the heavyweight division.

And he certainly enjoyed the spoils of his success, throwing lavish parties and revelling in the taste of glory.
These bashes included his 30th birthday party, attended by a star-studded 700-strong guest list including future president Donald Trump – with the night setting him back an eye-watering £320,000.
He also built quite the car collection, including the rare Lamborghini LM002 – worth over £100,000 factoring in inflation.
Tyson bought a Cadillac Escalade and Hummer H2 – adding another £140,000 worth of motors to his collection.

It wasn’t just big SUVs that joined his fleet, however, as he also purchased a £400,000 Bentley Continental SC.
Overall, The Richest claim that Tyson spent more than £3.5m on his luxury car collection.
In addition to his wheels, Iron Mike collated an even more impressive collection of luxury mansions.

And he bought plenty of stunning cars like this one
These included a giant estate in Connecticut that he bought for £2.3m… and 18 months later unsuccessfully tried to flog for £17.5m.
The property included 24 bathrooms, a four storey elevator, swimming pool, cinema room, disco and NBA standard outdoor basketball court.
He also bought a £1.9m mansion in Nevada, and a similarly heftily-priced pad in Los Angeles.
    EXPENSIVE TREATS

Tyson treated ex-wife Robin Givens to an infamous £1.75m solid gold bathtub, enabling her to relax in style – but burning what would be a rather deep hole in the pocket of most sportsmen.
Even more infamous than that, were his two pet tigers, which set him back £55,000 each – and a whole lot more in keeping them looked after – with just their food costing £150,000-a-year.
Tyson also loved his jewellery, and was the proud owner of a stunning £635,000 Piaget watch.
Following his 2003 bankruptcy Tyson, by this point sporting his iconic face tattoo, fought twice more professionally – losing bouts to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride respectively.

He pleaded guilty to charges of cocaine possession and driving under influence in two years later, serving 24 hours in jail and being made to take part in community service upon his release.
But since then, things have looked up for Iron Mike.
He properly launched his career on screen by playing an altered version of himself in the hit American comedy The Hangover.
And he has since appeared in other titles including Ip man 3 – and even a 2015 Madonna track.
Tyson has also launched his successful podcast, Hotboxin, as well as collaborating with Spike Lee on a touring one-man show.

Alongside business partner Alki David, he has started a cannabis empire that earns £500,000-a-month – with plans for a 418-acre weed resort reportedly in the works.
Tyson has now cleared his debts, and has a net worth of around £2.4m.
Having learnt from previous mistakes, and with his boxing comeback incoming – you certainly wouldn’t bet against that figure rising once more.

Anthony Joshua slams Deontay Wilder for ‘dodging and ducking’ undisputed fight as Brit demands WBC clash with Tyson Fury

ANTHONY JOSHUA has slammed Deontay Wilder for ‘dodging and ducking’ an undisputed fight between them.
The heavyweight pair failed to agree a meeting despite two years worth of negotiations, before Wilder instead chose a rivalry with Tyson Fury.

After a draw in 2018, Fury comprehensively beat the American in seven rounds this February.
Following the crushing loss, Wilder’s attention turned to making up several excuses for why he suffered his first ever defeat, and demanded a trilogy.
He also admitted to turning down a fight with AJ for more money in order to rematch Fury.
And Joshua feels relieved that the finger can no longer be pointed at him for why he never got to face Wilder.

He told Sky Sports: “He told the world that he ducked and dodged me.
“We offered him a fight for the undisputed championship of the world and he went down the route of fighting Fury.
“I’m glad we can clear that up and move on. As time goes on, it will all come to fruition and make sense.”
Wilder, 35, is not giving up on his pursuit to force through a shot at revenge against Fury, 32.

He has initiated a mediation to review his case after the Gypsy King tried to walk away from the fight, believing the immediate rematch clause expired.
It leaves Joshua’s hopes of a Battle of Britain up in the air, but his focus right now is facing Kubrat Pulev, 39, on December 12.
AJ, 31, uploaded pictures training for the mandatory defence, appearing to work on his uppercut.
He even posted on Twitter that it was his ‘favourite punch’ – the same shot that famously landed on Wladimir Klitschko in 2017.
After fighting Pulev, Joshua wants to turn his attention to the WBC title, the only crown missing from his heavyweight collection.

He said: “It’s always been my wish. Not just the WBC but competing with the toughest challenges that the heavyweight division has to offer.
“That’s the only way to get better, right? You have a tough night, you go back again, you improve whether you win or lose.
“Fighting for the WBC would be an honour. It’s a prestigious belt, it’s one that I’m keen on getting my hands on.
“When the time is right, the opportunity will present itself.
“When the WBC talk comes around? Hopefully people understand that: ‘Joshua is serious’. Which I am.”

Watch Logan Paul claim Mayweather hasn’t signed fight contract yet as he can’t spell own name in incredible rant

LOGAN PAUL claimed Floyd Mayweather hasn’t signed a fight contract yet because the boxing legend cannot spell in his own name in a cringeworthy video.
The YouTuber, 25, posted a clip from a gym punching a bag while calling out the undefeated five-weight former world champion.

Logan Paul posted a bizarre video on social media calling on Floyd Mayweather to sign a contract for a fight

And he questioned why the boxing legend, 43, had not put pen to paper on a deal for the pair to meet in the ring.
Paul said: “Hey Floyd, I know you’ve had the contract for a while now.
“At first I thought you didn’t sign it because you didn’t want one punch to ruin your legacy.”
Paul wants to fight one of boxing’s greatest of all time – claiming he would ‘snap Mayweather in half’ with one punch.

That is despite the American failing to even defeat fellow YouTuber KSI in either of their slugfests.
And things took a bizarre twist in the video when he embarrassingly started spelling out Mayweather’s name which he had printed out and stuck on the wall.
Paul’s weird rant continued: “But now I feel like maybe you didn’t sign it because you don’t know how to spell your name.
“Don’t worry, champ, I’ve got you – check this out. I made you a cheat sheet.”

Paul wondered why the Money had put pen to paper and suggested it was the veteran’s struggle with spelling

Paul headed over to the wall where he had printed out Mayweather’s name

Pointing to the letters sellotaped to the wall in his gloves, Paul added: “This is your name. Floyd Mayweather.
“It’s pretty simple – it starts with an F.”
Then the W in Mayweather fell off the wall, prompting him to add: “F***. Well, yeah, you ain’t getting the W anyway.
“Then an L – your first L. O-Y-D. May. Eather.
    “Sign the f***ing contract, Floyd.”

Mayweather is due to return to the ring for the first time since New Year’s Eve in 2018 next February.
But the 50-0 superstar, who beat Conor McGregor in his 50th pro bout, suggested he would take on Paul in an exhibition bout before the event in Tokyo – and would not go lightly on the online sensation.
The 43-year-old tweeted: “These YouTube girls better find some Barbie dolls to play with cause I’m not the one for the kid games.
“Three years ago a fighter from the UFC said my name and I had to put a muzzle on that b****.
“Logan Paul can get the same treatment before I go conquer Japan again.”
    Paul responded: “50-1.”
