Joe Joyce hit Dave Allen ‘so hard and so often’ in sparring he ‘forgot what day it was and went for a KFC’

DAVE ALLEN revealed he was hit so hard in sparring by Joe Joyce that he forgot what day of the week it was.
And ‘the White Rhino’ said he went and grabbed a KFC after missing his train because he couldn’t remember where the station was.

Hard-hitting Joyce, 35, will take on domestic rival Daniel Dubois, 23, on Saturday night in one of the heavyweight fights of the year.
The pair were due to fight earlier this year but will finally face off for the British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight titles this weekend.
And ex-heavyweight Allen, 28, recalled just how hard Joyce hit from the one sparring session they had.
Speaking on Instagram, Allen said: “I once sparred Joe Joyce for 6 rounds. He hit me so hard and so often.

“I got ready, left the gym and walked around for 20 minutes.
“I had forgot where the train station was and what day it was due to the spar.
“Then I came around and went KFC as I had missed my train, true story.”

Allen announced his retirement from boxing earlier this month aged just 28.

Joyce recently revealed his new shredded figure after an incredible four-month body transformation.

In a photo from July 2020, when he beat Bryant Jennings and Michael Wallisch in the space of a fortnight, the heavyweight is certainly carrying a fair bit of extra weight.
But just FOUR months later, a pic from November shows a much leaner, more trimmed shape with his muscles bulging.
And, combined with the grimace, it offers a threatening prospect for Dubois.

Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr fight simulated and ends in stunning knockout win as retired legends prepare for battle

MIKE TYSON has been predicted to knock out Roy Jones Jr in their eagerly-awaited exhibition bout this weekend.
The two boxing legends – who have a combined age of 105 – pit their wits against each other at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in eight two-minute rounds.

Mike Tyson proved to be too strong for Saturday’s opponent Roy Jones Jr in a simulated fight

Jones Jr and Tyson face each other in an exhibition bout at the Staples Center this weekend

Iron Mike knocked out Jones Jr in the simulated contest with a thudding right hook

Tyson, 54, is in incredible shape for the dust-up having lost a whopping seven stone to face his American compatriot.
And Jones Jr, 51, is also looking in peak condition having shared a clip of himself displaying lightning-quick hand speed.
And with fans excited over the contest, YouTuber Martial Mind decided to simulate a match-up between the two on Fight Night Champion.
However unlike Saturday’s fight, the simulated bout involved three-minute rounds instead of 120 seconds.

As expected, the fight was an all-out brawl, as both men went hell for leather as they traded repeated power punches.
Jones Jr was ahead on the scorecards after three rounds, but Tyson then took control – winning every round until he stopped his rival in the ninth round.
The Baddest Man on the Planet pinned Jones Jr in a corner, before unleashing two devastating right hooks to his opponent’s head which ended the fight.
Tyson also knocked out former WBC champion Deontay Wilder in a simulated contest to prove he is the more dangerous puncher.

British icon Ricky Hatton has spoke of his fear that Tyson’s comeback could end in tragedy having not fought since his defeat to Kevin McBride 15 years ago.
And George Foreman has begged Tyson to call off the fight as he stated Iron Mike doesn’t need any more money.
He told World Boxing News: “Tyson has done enough great things for boxing. No more is needed.
“He is in the Hall of Fame and was a mighty puncher.”

Mike Tyson wants charity fights with Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder to ‘help so many people’

MIKE TYSON wants a crack at Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder – but all in the name of charity.
The 54-year-old boxing legend would love to raise money for people ‘who desperately need it’ around the world.

Iron Mike, is gearing up for an exhibition bout against fellow great Roy Jones Jr, 51, in Los Angeles this weekend.
And he paid tribute to the trio of heavyweights currently at the top of the division before leaving the door open to fighting them.
He told BT Sport: “I think they’re brilliant. They’re brilliant fighters. They could do so much for society.
“They could have exhibitions and take the money from the exhibitions, because they’re such big crowd pleasers and they could help so many people.

“There’s so many people out there that we can do so much for, and it wouldn’t even be a 10th of their charitable heart to do something like that.
“In fact, fight exhibitions with me, and most of our charity would go to people who desperately need it.
“I want you to label them as exhibitions because there are no hard feelings.”
Tyson has shed an amazing seven stone to get into shape for his showdown with Jones Jr on Saturday.

Asked why’s coming back to fight at the age of 54, Tyson responded: “Because I can.
“It has a charity exponent and I look at that as bigger than me. ‘Buying a new car, a new girlfriend, a new mansion, a new plane’… that doesn’t do it for me anymore. It just doesn’t work.”
Tyson has ripped his shirt off to reveal his weight loss and new physique during a number of TV interviews.
When asked how he lost 100lbs on Good Morning America, he whipped his top off during the interview.
The former heavyweight king said: “I became a vegan. My wife told me to get on a treadmill. So I went from 15 minutes on the treadmill and ended at two hours.

“I kept going to the gym and watching my diet and I’m beautiful.
“I’ve got to show you my body man, I’ve got to show you how beautiful I look.”
And as he flexed his muscles during the interview, Tyson roared: “This is where it’s at.”

Anthony Joshua shows off insanely ripped arms in gruelling work out as he gets in top shape for Kubrat Pulev fight

ANTHONY JOSHUA showed off his incredible bulging biceps while flogging himself in the gym to get in shape for his fight with Kubrat Pulev.
Heavyweight world champ AJ, 31, is set to defend his belts against the 39-year-old Bulgarian on December 12.

AJ is preparing for his fight against Kubrat Pulev in December

Joshua shared a snap of his insanely ripped and vascular arms on Instagram, and joked in the caption: “AJ workout plans coming soon.”
SunSport exclusively revealed the Watford fighter’s Matchroom promoters are hoping to have 1,000 fans in attendance.
The fight is scheduled to be held at the O2 but could be moved to Wembley Arena in anticipation of some fans returning for the first time since March as England moves out of lockdown into a tiered system.
New rules announced by the prime minister Boris Johnson this week permit fans in Tiers 1 and 2 to return to indoor and outdoor sporting events from December 2.

London is expected to be placed in Tier 2 and it has been reported that would allow for 1,000 fans indoors, or 50 per cent capacity – whichever is lower.
But any fans that are not in attendance will have to fork out £24.95 to watch the pay-per-view bout with Joshua in action for the first time in 12 months.
Supporters have fumed online about the hefty fee which equals the British PPV record set by AJ’s win over Andy Ruiz Jr last year.
But Eddie Hearn has justified the price by highlighting that there has been no increase on his last fight – despite the inability to pack out a stadium with 70,000 people due to the pandemic.

The Matchroom Boxing supremo said: “We had 70,000 people at Tottenham that are no longer coming so we decided to keep the PPV price the same as his last fight.
“No price increase, despite the fact there are millions and millions no longer coming into the fight.”
But Hearn revealed a super all-British unification bout between AJ and Tyson Fury could cost fans nearly £30 in the future.

Mike Tyson vs Deontay Wilder simulated on Fight Night Champion after Bronze Bomber claimed he could KO prime Iron Mike

DEONTAY WILDER was right in his prediction that someone would land a knockout should he fight prime Mike Tyson.
Unfortunately for the Bronze Bomber, it was the Baddest Man on the Planet that secured a brutal finish in a Fight Night Champion simulated bout.

Wilder was second best against Tyson as he suffered a sixth round KO defeatCredit: YouTube / EA Sports / Fight Night Champions

The 35-year-old stated earlier this year that Iron Mike wouldn’t be able to deal with his ‘killer instinct’.
And top YouTuber G Sports Gaming decided to put that to the test, with Wilder succumbing to a sixth round KO defeat.
Tyson started the contest on the front foot as he targeted his American compatriot’s torso.
After repeated power punches, Tyson finally managed to drop Wilder in the sixth round with a heavy uppercut.

And the 54-year-old then finished the contest once Wilder got back to his feet as he sent him crashing to the canvas with a vicious left hook to his opponent’s ribs.
This time Wilder – who has been slammed by Anthony Joshua for dodging him – was unable to beat the count.
Speaking of what would happen should he face Tyson, Wilder told EsNews: “My hand speed, I’m too long, I’m too tall, my athleticism, my feetwork, all that gives me an advantage, it plays a big part.

Wilder has stated previously that he would be too big and strong for Iron MikeCredit: YouTube / EA Sports / Fight Night Champions

“No disrespect to Mike Tyson, in his era he was the best but this is a new era.

“No old-school fighter should beat a new-school fighter. Look at the technology we have.
“Nobody has a natural killer instinct as I do, ain’t anybody could ever knock me out. I’m very confident in what I say and I speak what I do.”
In 2018 he stated: “Me vs Tyson in ’86, I’d kick the hell outta that guy.
“Listen, I’ve got to keep it real. I know people always go back to the old school or look at the new school and there’s no school where I’m not No1 on Earth.”
Tyson – who criticised Wilder for making excuses as to why he lost to Tyson Fury – responded to the 2018 remarks by insisting Wilder has never faced someone like him.
He said: “I just heard Deontay Wilder said he would destroy a young Mike Tyson.
“My thoughts are that it’s easy to talk until you actually get in the ring.

Mike Tyson’s incredible bodyweight workout routine

“I like Wilder, but he’s never been in there with someone that ferocious [and] who truly wants to break his ribs with every punch. I don’t see it!”
Tyson is looking to display his immense knockout power once again this weekend when he faces Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout.
It will be the first time he has stepped back inside the ring since losing to Kevin McBride in July 2005.

How Nate Robinson went from NBA superstar to boxing beginner making debut on Mike Tyson undercard against Jake Paul

NATE ROBINSON has gone from NBA superstar to boxing beginner – ready to make his debut on Mike Tyson’s undercard.
The three-time Slam Dunk champion has swapped the basketball sneakers for boxing boots as he prepares for his first ever fight.

Nate Robinson has gone from an NBA superstar to boxing beginner

Robinson makes his debut on Mike Tyson’s undercard

He faces YouTuber Jake Paul over six rounds on Saturday, and will attempt to conquer two sports in doing so.
Robinson, 36, tells SunSport: “I want to prove to everybody that I’m one of the greatest athletes to ever walk the earth.
“I want to show the kids with hard work and dedication and when you believe in yourself you can do anything.
“It’s more than to be famous or to be seen, that’s nothing.

“I have so much to prove and I want to prove it to myself that I can do anything.”
Robinson has been incorporating boxing training in his workouts for three years with his strength and condition coach Chris Denina.
They believed the pad work helped with hand eye-coordination needed in basketball.
But Robinson has not featured in the NBA since 2015, and most recently played in Lebanese league in 2018.

Robison was a three-time NBA Slam Dunk championCredit: Getty Images – Getty

And after hearing an open challenge from Paul, 23, online, Robinson answered the call which kickstarted started his new journey.
At first the pair were just going to settle the score in a backyard bout streamed on YouTube.
But after their managers came together in May, they instead find themselves on the undercard of Tyson’s comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr.
Robinson explains: “I ran across one of Jake Paul’s YouTube streams on my Instagram, and he was saying he could knock out any athlete or YouTuber.
“And I was like, ‘S***, I’ll fight you, what’s up?’ He wanted to see if it made sense and the fans took a liking to it.
“We were just going to set up some kind of backyard type deal and put it on YouTube.
“We had no clue we’d be on the Mike Tyson undercard, that’s a blessing.”

Robinson has been training at the Tenochtitlan gym in Renton

The ex-NBA star has spent the last six months preparing for the bout
Robinson has spent the last six months learning the ropes as a boxing novice under the guidance of trainer Francisco ‘Paco’ Reyes.
And Reyes reveals when the basketballer first walked into his Tenochtitlan gym in Renton, Washington, he was treated like any other newcomer – who had to fight for respect.
Reyes says: “To me, he wasn’t Nate Robinson. I train my amateurs and my professionals the same.
“As soon as he stepped foot in the gym it was just a brand new person who needed to earn respect, earn his spot in the gym.
“That’s how he’s been going about it from day one.”
Robinson was just 21 when he entered the NBA, debuting for the New York Knicks.
But all the years dedicated on the court are nothing compared to the months he has spent in the boxing gym.

Robinson has not played in the NBA since 2015 Credit: Getty Images – Getty
Robinson admits: “This is way harder than anything I’ve ever had to do in my life.
“Boxing training compared to basketball? Basketball is a walk in the park compared.
“Basketball is easy, and then doing this for a couple months, I’ve never done anything harder.”
Robinson comes into the co-headliner as a betting underdog.
Paul is the more experienced fighter, having eased past his pro debut in January while also winning an exhibition bout in 2018.
But Robinson’s time sharing the court with some of the greatest stars in NBA history feels his team with confidence when it comes to handling pressure.

Robinson with his trainer Paco Reyes, left, and strength coach Chris Denina, far right
Trainer Reyes says: “I’m not worried about Jake.
“Yes, he does have that experience in the ring, under the lights, Nate may not have been in the ring but he’s performed in front of people on the big stage.
“He knows what it’s like to perform against some of the best basketball players and athletes in the world.”
Robinson adds: “I’ve played against some of the greatest players in the world, Kobe Bryant, rest in peace, I’ve played against Lebron James, Alan Iverson, Shaq, you name it.
“I’ve blocked against some of the biggest guys and showcased my talent and always held my own.
“Come the 28th I’ll show what Nate Robinson is all about.”
The same players who helped carve Robinson’s confidence will be supporting him this weekend.

He says: “So many of my NBA buddies are just upset they can’t come to the match.
“They’re all going to have fight parties, and order the fight and show their love and support.”
Robinson’s months of learning and dedication will all come to a close when he laces up the gloves for the first time.
And he has already envisioned success on the night – in whatever form necessary.
He reveals: “I’ve been writing in my journal this whole time, something I’ve done since I hooped, I like to visualise what I feel should happen.
“I just want victory. Whether I’m knocking him out or we have to go the six rounds, I just want to win, it doesn’t matter how I get it done.
“I want to show what heart looks like, what a champion looks like.”

MIKE TYSON ripped off his shirt on TV to reveal his 100lb weight loss – and told viewers ‘I’m beautiful’.

And he wasn’t shy to whip his top off during a television interview on Good Morning America.
Host TJ Holmes asked ‘Iron Mike’ how tough training camp was and how he managed to shed the weight.
Tyson responded: “It was very difficult but only for one particular reason – I had to lose 100lbs.
“But other than that I’ve always done this my whole career.

“I became a vegan. My wife told me to get on a treadmill. So I went from 15 minutes on the treadmill and ended at two hours.
“I kept going to the gym and watching my diet and I’m beautiful.”
Interviewer Holmes told Tyson that he looked great, and that’s when the 54-year-old ripped his top off.
He said: “You ain’t seen nothing. I’ve got to show you my body man, I’ve got to show you how beautiful I look.”

And as he flexed his muscles during the interview, Tyson roared: “This is where it’s at.”

It’s not the first time Tyson has got his guns out during an interview.
He did the same when Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson quizzed him earlier this month.
The boxing legend, 54, appears to be in the shape of his life prior to climbing back between the ropes for the highly-anticipated exhibition bout in Los Angeles.
The American legend has been working hard in the gym for months now after first teasing his comeback in May.
Tyson retired in 2005 and claimed to have not trained since his last loss, against Kevin McBride 15 years ago.

And he now looks a completely different man from the one seen in 2018, after shedding the pounds and packing on the muscle after taking his return to the ring seriously.
Tyson told TMZ Sports: “At one time I was just 90lbs over weight I was doing cocaine, I was drinking and I said Allah if he can stop me from being this way, I’ll change my whole life.”
“And eventually, I got married, my life started to change, and I started working out.
“My brother in law said, ‘hey listen. I know you don’t want to fight, but would you fight Bob Sapp?

“Somebody wants to offer you a lot of money to fight him. I said, ‘get out of here, I told you I don’t want to fight anymore.”
“And then I thought about it in my mind and went ‘ding’ – I said I would fight [Sapp under the marquess of queensberry rules] and for some reason, it went from Bob Sapp to somebody else, and this guy, and the next thing you know, I’m fighting Roy Jones Jr.
“I don’t know how this happened. I’m just very grateful that I’m not living the life that I was living before. Allah has blessed for me to be able to do this.” More
