Anthony Joshua claims to have sparred against Tyson Fury for a Rolex watch 10 years ago

ANTHONY JOSHUA has called time on his big rival Tyson Fury – and revealed they sparred for a brand new Rolex watch.
The British world heavyweight champ was just an amateur when he first fought the Gypsy King.

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury sparred for a Rolex in 2010 when the Watford star was just an amateur

AJ revealed that he read in boxing bible Boxing News that Fury was in London looking for sparring partners – and if anyone knocked him down they would get his expensive Rolex watch.
Joshua told Sky Sports: “This was early on when I was an amateur and I didn’t know who Tyson was.
“I was reading in Boxing News he was going around London gyms asking if anyone knocks him out they get to keep his Rolex.
“Me and him had a straight war. We both have heart.

“I didn’t get to knock him out. He said afterwards ‘Watch out for this kid, he will be champion of the world one day’.
“And he got his prediction right.”
AJ and Fury are set to have penned a two-fight deal to unify the heavyweight division next year.

Ahead of the British showdown, Joshua has called for the Gypsy King to earn his respect.

He said: “He has not been in the deep end to prove that he can swim there for a long time.
“You don’t just come once or twice, you have to do it repeatedly against championship level fighters, that is how you gain my respect.”

Dillian Whyte blasts ‘coward’ Daniel Dubois for ‘quitting’ as he stops fighting in shock defeat to Joe Joyce

DILLIAN WHYTE laid into heavyweight rival Daniel Dubois for ‘quitting’ against Joe Joyce last night.
Dubois, 23, was stopped in the 10th round after taking a knee and failing to make the ref’s count.

The rising star was favoured to beat his heavyweight foe Joyce, 35, but saw his unbeaten record dashed.
And former world title challenger Whyte, 32, wasn’t happy with the manner of Dubois’ defeat.
He said on Instagram: “Man’s out here quitting in mid-fight.
“They were saying they wanna fight me and they were gonna knock me out.

“One thing with me, no quit, straight warrior. If I’m losing, I’m getting knocked out.
“Straight warrior, straight warrior. And these cowards wanna mention me.”
And another Brit heavyweight Haye, 40, said: “I was very unhappy with the way he took a knee. I’d rather get knocked spark out.”

Those views were also echoed by ex-world champion Carl Frampton.

The 33-year-old told BT Sport: “I think that we all like Dubois, he’s a likeable guy.
“But if it’s someone we didn’t like we’d say he’s a quitter. I think he quit – I have to be brutally honest.
“His eye was a mess, his eye was closed but I get dragged out of the ring. I wouldn’t take a knee and get pulled out.”
Dubois was rushed to hospital after his shock loss over fears he may have suffered nerve damage or broken eye bone.

He initially went for standard neurological tests but was then taken to Moorfields – an eye specialist hospital in east London.
Dubois said: “He caught me with another jab to the eye. I could hardly see out of it. I can’t explain it.
“I’m a tough guy and I will come again.”

KSI accepts Jake Paul fight offer and blasts ‘I saw nothing special’ with YouTube rivals set to battle next year

KSI was quick to dismiss Jake Paul’s second-round KO win over Nate Robinson by claiming he ‘saw nothing special’.
The Brit has widely been rumoured to face the Problem Child after facing the latter’s elder brother Logan on his professional debut last year.

Jake Paul wants to box KSI as revenge for his brother Logan’s loss

YouTube star KSI dismissed his internet rival’s skills in the ring

Jake moved to 2-0 after obliterating former NBA ace Robinson with a brutal second-round KO on the undercard of the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr event.
The 23-year-old only embarked on his professional boxing career with a victory over fellow social media celeb AnEsonGib in January.
The fight came two months after brother Logan, 25, was beaten by split-decision against KSI – real name Olajide William Olatunji – in Los Angeles.
Jake is hellbent on gaining revenge for his sibling and called out the Watford-born star again following his win over Robinson.

And KSI, 27, has seemingly accepted after taking to twitter to fire a warning while brushing aside his internet rival’s skills in the ring.
He wrote: “I saw nothing special from Jake lol. Soon come.”
Paul has been extremely vocal about confirming a fight with KSI over the past year.
Speaking back in September, he said: “KSI vs Jake Paul is 100 per cent gonna happen. If I die without that happening, I would be so upset. It has to happen, for the culture.”

Jake beat KSI’s little brother ‘Deji’ in an exhibition bout in August 2018, the night Logan drew with his internet rival.
In the rematch on their pro debuts, Logan was docked two points for hitting KSI on the floor, a penalty that ultimately cost him on the cards.
Yet despite that, Jake’s co-trainer BJ Flores – who was once beaten by Tony Bellew – warned KSI will be beaten within three rounds if he faces the younger Paul.

Nicknamed “Money”, he has never been shy in flaunting his wealth, giving an insight into his life of luxury.
Mayweather, 43, splashed out £19m in cash on a stunning Beverly Hills pad, taking to social media to show what it’s like on the inside.
He even shelled out a further £370,000 on top of the sale price, having made an astonishing £74m from his final professional bout against Conor McGregor in 2017.
Hundreds of expensive bottles of wines line the wall in his cellar, presumably for when he hosts parties with star-studded guest-lists.

Mayweather has regularly been snapped on nights out drinking with huge wads of cash in his own strip club.
In another picture, he is laying down on his couch in his spotless lounge area with the caption “relaxing in 90210.”
A large chandelier hangs from the ceiling in his self proclaimed “castle” and a huge marble fireplace is lit on the opposite side of the room.

Anthony Joshua looks shredded in training ahead of Pulev clash but Lennox Lewis claims Tyson Fury ‘more dangerous’

ANTHONY JOSHUA has shown fans his incredible physique in training ahead of his heavyweight showdown with Kubrat Pulev.
Yet despite AJ’s countless efforts in the gym, Lennox Lewis has claimed his fellow Londoner will still be at a disadvantage when he faces Tyson Fury.

Joshua has already verbally agreed to a double header to face the Gypsy King for next year.
But the London 2012 gold medallist is first putting his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles on the line against Bulgarian Pulev on December 12.
And AJ has once again wowed fans with his latest promo pictures ahead of the fight that showed the boxer flaunt his incredible bulging biceps.
He captioned the snaps on Instagram: “Each fight holds a story.”

You’ve got Fury, he is a switch hitter and he is going into the fight with a lot more dangerous things to watch out for
Lennox Lewis on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Although countless fans swarmed to flood the comment section by hailing Joshua, Lennox Lewis issued a word of caution to the Watford star.
Lion shared his belief that Fury will emerge victorious over his fellow Brit when they finally meet in the ring in 2021.
As quoted by the Daily Mail, he said: “The Fury and Joshua fight, you have got two big guys and they can punch and they can box.
“You’ve got Fury, he is a switch hitter and he is going into the fight with a lot more dangerous things to watch out for – the fact that he can punch with left hand, with his right.

“He is a slugger as well, the way he went after Deontay (Wilder), nobody expected that. He said what he is going to do and he did it. I like guys who box with confidence like that.”

Lewis later revealed that Fury’s height compared to Joshua – the Gypsy King has three-inches on his rival – will give him a lot of advantages.
He added: “I have always said that it is always difficult boxing taller guys.
“He is 6ft 9, you are not going to get any sparring partners who are 6ft 9 to go in there.
“AJ has to figure that out as well. It is going to take him a few rounds.”

    — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) November 29, 2020

Paul only embarked on his professional boxing career with a victory over fellow social media celeb AnEsonGib in January.
But the 23-year-old silenced the doubters after dropping Robinson three times on the undercard of the epic Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr event.
Ahead of the fight, Paul had made headlines for claiming he would ‘kick Conor McGregor’s a***’ in the boxing ring.
And the internet star doubled down on the claims after knocking out Robinson by calling out the UFC superstar and his teammate Dillon Danis.

Paul has also set his sights on avenging his brother Logan’s defeat to rival KSI but admitted he fancied his chances against his sibling as well.

There’s a long list of opponents that I want — Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis. I’m going to knock them both out
    Jake Paul

Speaking in his post-fight interview, the YouTube star said: “I’ve been training my ass off for the past year. I’m taking this seriously.
“There’s a long list of opponents that I want — Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis. I’m going to knock them both out.
“There’s my brother, KSI on the line, Austin McBroom. I want to be in this sport for a long time. I’m in love with it so why not?”

Part of the reason Paul has targeted so many future fights is his claim that he is in boxing for the long haul after securing back-to-back wins.
He said: “For me, my whole life has been a fight.

YouTube star Paul beat NBA ace Robinson with a brutal second-round KO

“So fighting — it’s something that I’m great at. Being from Ohio, a small town and making my way to Los Angeles to fame and success and just fighting for it.
“People never believing in me, people hating me — being one of the most hated people in the world. I have to fight through that, it’s not easy.
“So this is the perfect sport. I’ve found my lane.”

The fight was scored a draw and both boxers tried their best

You could almost tell it was going to be scored a draw half-way through – as nothing much was happening.
Here, SunSport tells the story of the fight between 54-year-old Tyson and 51-year-old Jones.
    Round One
Tyson rushes straight into it. Targets the body with some wild shots.

Jake Paul DESTROYS Nate Robinson as medics rush into ring after brutal knockout as Snoop Dogg calls it a ‘Hood fight’

JAKE PAUL obliterated former NBA basketball star Nate Robinson with a brutal second-round KO.

Medics and the referee rushed to Robinson’s aid before after more than a minute he made it onto a stool.
Such was the brutality of the finish, music legend Snopp Dogg likened it to a ‘Hood fight’.
Robinson had already being floored twice previous in the embarrassingly one-sided affair.
YouTube sensation Paul embarked on his boxing career with a victory over fellow social media celeb AnEsonGib in January.

There was some serious concern for Nate Robinson after he crashed to the canvas
And now he has made it two out of two with an emphatic victory – but it will leave questions to be asked on how these fights are sanctioned.
The first round was a dismal affair, with the referee warning both ‘boxers’ to stop wrestling and ‘throw some punches’.
It was Paul who landed the most meaningful of these, when he floored Robinson with a huge right towards the end of the round.
And Robinson was face down again in the second round when Paul smashed him with the same shot.

The third knockdown soon came – and it was a brutal one at that.
Another looping right hand sent Robinson crashing to the canvas and to sleep.
The 36-year-old was laid out for almost a minute before being hauled onto a seat by the referee.
Speaking after the weigh-in, the ‘Problem Child’ Paul explained why he’s so desperate to succeed inside the squared circle.

He added: “I love the sport, you know. I’m made for this. And to me, it’s an opportunity to prove people wrong.
“But it’s something I fell in love with, something I’m passionate about, something I’m good at, and I’m ready to take the world by storm.”
