NBA basketball star Robinson was knocked out on his boxing debut

The 36-year-old was dropped three times during his crushing defeat to YouTube sensation Paul, 23, on Saturday night.
But 50 Cent was quick to poke fun by tweeting a meme of a KO’d Robinson replacing the silhouette of Jerry West on the NBA logo.
The American rapper captioned the post: “Damn Cuz get the strap! LOL!
However, the public trolling could further upset Mayweather – who has insisted Robinson should be supported during this time.

The undefeated boxer has been at loggerheads with 50 Cent since 2012, having previously been great friends.
And Mayweather has taken to Instagram to blast people to making fun of Robinson for stepping inside the ropes.
He wrote: “Nate, I’m proud of you and I will always stand behind all my brothers. I will never kick my brother when he’s down.
“It’s ok for people to voice their opinions on social media, but no black athletes or black entertainers, especially black NBA players should make a mockery out of you.

“We are supposed to all stand with each other through the good, bad and ugly.
“I’m here to uplift you and let you know we all love you and congratulate you for just making an effort.
“SIDENOTE: The times I’ve had issues with another brother is when they came at me first. I was just defending myself.”
Robinson took to Instagram to reassure fans the he was well.
He wrote: “Thank you everyone for all the well wishes, I’m OK.”

But before the bizarre draw, Tyson opened up on how taking toad venom played a part in his dramatic body transformation and ring return.
He said: “I took the medicine and the medicine told me to get into shape.
“It really blew my mind. It told me to come back and start getting in shape.”
According to AddictionCenter.com, toad venom is a psychedelic drug made ‘from a rare species of toad native to the Sonoran Desert’.

It is said to cause ‘hallucinogenic effects [to] take hold in about five minutes after ingestion, causing a powerful religious-like trip that lasts about an hour’.
Tyson told in 2019 of how toad venom ‘killed the monster inside him’ and buried the human wrecking ball that helped build his fame and fortune.
The reformed Baddest Man on The Planet is now building a cannabis empire alongside his business partner Alki David.
And he is a huge advocate for the medicinal benefits of the drug, and even smoked before his comeback fight.

Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor ‘is a lot more competitive than UFC star against Floyd Mayweather’, claims Eddie Hearn

BOXING promoter Eddie Hearn has thrown his support behind Jake Paul fighting Conor McGregor.
Just moments after he annihilated former basketball star Nate Roninson at the weekend, Paul called out the UFC legend for a boxing scrap.

It would be a real battle of the novices. Paul has only had two fights, winning both by KO while McGregor has had one – a KO loss to Floyd Mayweather.
But Hearn seems a fan of the two getting it on in the ring.
Speaking to Sirius XM Boxing, the Matchroom boss said: “I think it’s reasonably competitive, especially with the weight difference.
“Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor is a lot more competitive than Conor vs Floyd Mayweather.”

YouTube sensation Paul moved to 2-0 after obliterating former Robinson with a brutal second-round KO.
Ahead of the fight, Paul had made headlines for claiming he would ‘kick Conor McGregor’s a***’ in the boxing ring.
And the internet star doubled down on the claims after knocking out Robinson by calling out the UFC superstar and his teammate Dillon Danis.
Paul has also set his sights on avenging his brother Logan’s defeat to rival KSI but admitted he fancied his chances against his sibling as well.

Speaking in his post-fight interview, the YouTube star said: “I’ve been training my ass off for the past year. I’m taking this seriously.
“There’s a long list of opponents that I want — Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis. I’m going to knock them both out.
“There’s my brother, KSI on the line, Austin McBroom. I want to be in this sport for a long time. I’m in love with it so why not?”
McGregor is making his grand return to UFC in January, rematching against Dustin Poirier.

Daniel Dubois was RIGHT to stop against Joe Joyce as eye could have dropped into his sinus, reveals surgeon

DANIEL DUBOIS was RIGHT to stop against Joe Joyce on Saturday night as his eye could have dropped into his sinus, according to top surgeon Ricardo Mohammed-Ali.
The British star, 23, has faced severe criticism from the likes of Chris Eubank Jr and Dillian Whyte, who accused of him of quitting.

Dubois slumped to his knee and was counted out in the tenth round after his left eye took a battering from Joyce.
The youngster suffered a broken eye socket and nerve damage after Joyce jabbed away at the swollen area.
After the fight, Eubank claimed he was ‘disgusted’ by Dubois, while Whyte was equally scathing, accusing him of ‘quitting’.
Carl Frampton also claimed he believes Dubois quit – saying the decision will ‘haunt’ him forever.

But the surgeon who twice rescued Kell Brook’s vision by reconstructing orbital bones after his fights with Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jr has insisted Dubois saved his career.
Mohammed-Ali told Sportsmail: “As someone who’s fixed a lot of orbits, I’d say that it would be safe to discontinue if there’s a suspicion that there’s a fracture or risk of visual loss.
“It definitely could be a career-ending injury.
“If the orbit is fractured and the eye moves back, if they receive more blows… it can actually drop down into the sinus.

“So further damage to the orbit, making the defect even bigger and harder to reconstruct and restore to some sort of function that a professional athlete would require.”
Olympic middleweight bronze medallist Anthony Ogogo, who was blinded in one eye after doing six rounds with a busted eye socket in 2016, also leapt to Dubois’ defence.
Ogogo said: “I’d hate to see your dreams end like mine did.”
Meanwhile, brain injury charity Headway have claimed some of the criticism directed at Dubois is ‘dangerous and irresponsible’.
On Monday night, Dubois vowed to return, thanking his fans for their messages of support.
Dubois said: “All my respect to Joe Joyce, he won fair and square.
“I’m out of hospital and will wait now for the fracture to heal.”

George Foreman backs Mike Tyson to win world title aged 54 after being impressed by performance against Roy Jones Jr

MIKE TYSON has been backed to win a world title at the age of 54 by fellow boxing legend George Foreman.
Iron Mike drew in his big comeback fight with Roy Jones Jr at the weekend – although many people felt he deserved to win.

While it was a scrappy fight with endless holding, Tyson looked in supreme shape after a stunning two-year body transformation.
Now, speaking to USA Today, Foreman, who became the oldest heavyweight world champion at the age of 45 in 1994, is predicting big things for Tyson.
He said: “If he gets in shape like he’s in now, and then gets his timing back, and all the other things fall into place, he can have an opportunity to fight for the title.
“If he can be managed right, a champion, the right champion, will come to him. And if the right one comes, he can knock him out.”

Tyson revealed that he smoked weed before his fight at the weekend, and admitted he ‘can’t stop’ puffing.
Both Tyson and Jones Jr – who had a combined age of 105 – were drug tested by Voluntary Anti-Doping Association beforehand.
But cannabis was not included and 54-year-old Tyson took full advantage with a pre-fight blaze.
He said: “Listen, I can’t stop smoking.

“I smoked during fights. I just have to smoke. I’m sorry. I’m a smoker.
“I smoke every day. I never stopped smoking.”
He also revealed that the psychedelic ‘Toad Venom’ drug helped inspire him to make a boxing comeback at 54.
He said: “I took the medicine and the medicine told me to get into shape.
“It really blew my mind. It told me to come back and start getting in shape.”

Tyson Fury claims Anthony Joshua is ‘tailor-made’ for him and Brit rival will be his EASIEST opponent

TYSON FURY has labelled Anthony Joshua as the ‘perfect opponent’ for him, ahead of their mooted bouts next year.
The British heavyweight duo are expected to clash in a pair of much-anticipated unification bouts next year, with fans possibly back in attendance.

And despite the fact that Joshua, 31, still has to get past Kubrat Pulev at an empty O2 Arena on December 12, the trash talk has already begun.
Speaking to the Wow Hydrate YouTube channel, Fury, 32, even went as far as to describe Joshua as ‘tailor-made’ for him.
He said: “The easiest opponent I think would be Anthony Joshua just because he’s tailor-made for me.
“If ever I could build a perfect opponent I’d be building him.”

Provided that AJ can get past Pulev, the heavyweight division is set for its most-anticipated match-up in years when the Brit champions face off next year.
As for where the fights will take place, however, Eddie Hearn has done his best to give UK fans some hope, although admitted that the finances may dictate that at least one of the bouts takes place elsewhere.
He said on talkSPORT 2: “If you go to a fighter and their teams and, pulling numbers out of the sky, say you have £50m to fight in the UK or you have £100m to do the fight in the Middle East, it’s a very short conversation.
“Because they understand the risks involved. If you ask Tyson and you ask AJ, ‘where do you want this fight to happen?’ – blimey, obviously in the UK!

“Two British heavyweight world champions and we will do everything we can to make the fight here, by the way.
“But, we can’t ignore the other offers. I would certainly like to see one of the two fights, because it will be two fights, in the UK.
“And I do believe that is what the fighters want as well. But even in the current environment, there has been a number of sizeable approaches from around the world to stage this fight – the biggest fight in boxing.”

Chris Eubank Jr ‘disgusted’ by Daniel Dubois’ surrender against Joe Joyce despite gruesome eye injury

CHRIS EUBANK JR was ‘disgusted’ by Daniel Dubois’ surrender on Saturday night.
Joe Joyce stunned Dubois by jabbing away brilliantly at the 23-year-old’s left eye until his eye socket and spirit broke in the tenth round of their London showdown.

Dubois was ahead on points but took a knee and was counted out.
The heavyweight upset has split boxing, with Irish icon Carl Frampton and Dillian Whyte feeling Dubois quit in his first real test.
But Olympic middleweight bronze medallist Anthony Ogogo, who was blinded in one eye after doing six rounds with a busted eye socket in 2016, leapt to Dubois’ defence.
Ogogo, 32, said: “I’d hate to see your dreams end like mine did.”

Brain injury charity Headway have claimed some of the criticism directed at Dubois is ‘dangerous and irresponsible’.
His promoter Frank Warren said: “The last punch he took caught a nerve and it shot through him.”
Eubank Jr called on his own warrior spirit to battle through a bloody defeat to George Groves with a split eye and also inflicted tragically life-changing injuries on Nick Blackwell.
But he pulled no punches with his view on Dubois’ first professional defeat.

Eubank Jr said: “If you can dish it out, you need to be able to take it.
“He could have just run around the ring for the last three rounds, if his eye was that bad, but don’t ever take a knee and blame one bad eye.
“It is one thing to take a knee when getting battered, I understand that, living to fight another day.

    I was disgusted
    Chris Eubank Jr

“But I have no excuse for letting yourself be counted out when you are ahead and still in the fight. I was disgusted.
“Dubois has a lot of potential but being young is not an excuse.
“He is 23 and has knocked out 14 of his 15 previous opponents. He is young and has his career ahead of him but that was so disappointing.”
Eubank Jr, 31, is stuck in California after being ringside for Mike Tyson’s pay-per-view clash with Roy Jones Jr.
The Brighton ace was in camp with Jones Jr, 51, even mimicking 54-year-old Tyson’s trademark style — after lockdown turned a two-week trip to Jones’ Florida gym in March into a bromance marathon.
Middleweight Eubank Jr enjoyed the ride but warned any talk about real fights for the 50-plus legends — against modern-day monsters — should be treated as fancifully as him fighting his legendary dad, Chris Snr, who is now 54.

Eubank Jr added: “I know how hard it is to get in there to perform when the world is watching, so to do that, at their age, is impressive.
“Like most kids, I pretended to be Mike Tyson in the mirror, bobbing and weaving, throwing hooks and uppercuts — and that was useful for Roy, 20 years later.
“A lot of the other stuff around it, suggesting fights against current prime fighters or champions isn’t real, it’s hype and online-forum chat.
“It’s entertainment, I don’t think it is dangerous because it is fantasy.
“People still ask me about fighting my dad. In our primes and even right now, that’s crazy, it would never happen. I like to think of it as just fun and fantasy.”
