Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will take 80 per cent CUTS of their purse if fight is held in UK without fans, says Hearn

TYSON FURY and Anthony Joshua will miss out on “80 per cent” of their purses if their long-awaited showdown takes place behind closed doors in the UK, according to Eddie Hearn.
The eagerly-anticipated heavyweight title unification fight moved a step closer last weekend when Joshua defended his unified titles with a ninth-round KO victory over Kubrat Pulev.

The Battle of Britain is currently being negotiated by the pair’s representatives, although former WBC heavyweight king Deontay Wilder insists he’s contractually entitled to a trilogy fight with Fury.
One of the two proposed Joshua vs Fury fights is expected to take place in the United Kingdom, although it’s unclear when stadiums and arenas will be allowed to be at full capacity due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Should the unthinkable happen and the fight have to take place behind closed doors, Matchroom chief Hearn says the pair will earn a fraction of what they would in normal circumstances.
Joshua’s promoter told Behind the Gloves: “We’ve had about a dozen approaches from different countries.

“But the situation is: if you do the fight in England, fighters will get paid about 50 per cent of what they’d [normally get]. Half, that’s what 50 per cent is.
“So it’s a hell of a pay cut. If there are no fans, it’ll be about 80 per cent less.
“So this is another reason why collectively now we have to go out and explore where we’re going to stage it.”
Although Fury and Joshua are desperate to get their hands on one another, Hearn reckons it’ll be difficult to convince them to take such significant pay cuts.

He added: “It’s one thing going, ‘Okay, let’s agree. We’ll do the fight.’ Then it’s, ‘Okay, where? And show me what’s in the pot.’
“If I’m ‘AJ’ or I’m Fury, I’m going, ‘Yeah, we’re all in. 50-50 let’s go. But how much?’
“Do you want to come back and go, ‘Oh, sorry, we couldn’t get any money for the fight because of the pandemic. So are you alright taking X?’
“They’re going, ‘F***ing hell. This is the biggest fight in history.’ So we need to just work together to go out and maximise the revenue for the fights.”
According to Hearn, negotiations over the super-fight are going swimmingly and a preliminary announcement could be made before the end of the year.
He said: “I think the next announcement will be something like, ‘All the terms are agreed.’ And now we go, effectively, to market and decide where we’re going to do this thing.
“But I think realistically. Where are we now? December 19. Maybe by the end of the year. Or early next year to say, ‘It’s on!’
“I know we’ve got the Wilder situation. But honestly, through speaking to people, I don’t want to get too excited, but I don’t think [it’ll be a problem].”

Watch Jake Paul practice three-punch combo in training weeks before he used same move to KO ex-NBA star Nate Robinson

JAKE PAUL has shared footage of him drilling the vicious combination he used to KO Nate Robinson last month.
The YouTuber registered an emphatic second-round KO victory over the former NBA star on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr.

Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson in brutal fashion last month

Paul faceplanted Robinson with a picture-perfect uppercut-jab-cross-roll combination, which immediately went viral.
And the 23-year-old shared footage of him practising the concussive combo on his social media channels on Thursday evening.
The clip, which featured footage of Paul rendering Robinson unconscious, included the accompanying caption: “Practice makes perfect.”
Paul’s post received a barrage of negative comments, most of which were from irritated boxing and MMA fans.

One tweet read: “Let’s be honest he’s probably the best YouTube boxer there is but put him up against a golden glove or even a bronze finisher and he’s getting sparked out.
“Even if he beats these MMA guys I still don’t think he’s proven himself as a boxer.
“Notice how he doesn’t call out any actual boxers, he knows he’s not there yet overall he’s not bad though I would say skill-wise a mid-level amateur.”
Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping – who recently hinted he’s received an offer to box the younger Paul brother – also chimed in.

Britain’s first UFC champion said: “Bags don’t hit back. Well, neither do basketballers for that matter.”
Paul’s brutal knockout of Robinson was his second as a professional boxer, the first of which came in January against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib.
The former Disney actor has now set his sights on facing UFC superstar Conor McGregor, who he called out earlier this week in a foul-mouthed tirade on Instagram.
He said: “What the f**k is up you Irish c**t? Good morning Conor McGregor.

“I know you’re probably beating up old dudes in a bar right now or maybe you’re j**ing off as you’re sick of f***ing your wife, I mean, she’s a four [out of ten], Conor you could do a lot better, but happy Monday!
“My team sent you a $50 million offer this morning, $50 million cash, proof of funds, the biggest fight offer you’ve ever been offered.
“But you’re scared to fight me Conor. You duck me as you’re scared to fight a YouTuber.
“You’re 0-1 as a boxer, I’m 2-0 as a boxer. I just came off the eighth biggest pay-per-view event in history.

Jake Paul recently called out former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor

Jake Paul claims to have sent a £37million ($50million) offer to Conor McGregor
“But you want to fight Dustin Poirier, who has less followers on Instagram than my f***ing dog, that’s a fact.
    “And Dana White, you’re a f***ing p***y, you ugly f***ing bald bitch.
“You said there’s zero per cent chance of this fight happening but there’s zero per cent of you getting some p****.
“Conor, you’re scared, Dana, you’re scared. Sign the f***ing contract you idiots. Irish b***h, f** these guys.”
McGregor – who is currently preparing for his UFC 257 rematch with Dustin Poirier – has yet to respond to Paul’s call-outs or the expletive-laden message he received from him on Instagram.

Logan Paul’s amazing body transformation, from slim YouTuber to muscle man boxer ahead of Floyd Mayweather fight

YOUTUBER Logan Paul has transformed from internet personality to muscle man boxer as he gears up to face Floyd Mayweather.
The 25-year-old, who boasts 23million subscribers on the video sharing platform, is set to face the ‘Money Man’ on February 20 in an exhibition bout.

Before his body transformation, Paul was a skinny teenCredit: Instagram @loganpaul

Paul has already said the fight makes “no f***ing sense” and thought he had signed a “fantasy contract” when his management presented him with a deal to get in the ring with the ex-middleweight champ.
But, if he’s serious about boxing, then fighting Mayweather is a step-up.
Paul has already enjoyed fighting fellow YouTube star KSI twice, one was a draw another was lost.
Since then, he’s continued to sculpt his physique and work on his talent.

    COW’S BLOOD FOR WEIGHT GAIN
When Paul launched his YouTube channel in 2015, he was just a skinny kid from Ohio living in Hollywood, trying to make money by vlogging about his life.
The transformation from teen to wannabe professional sports star has been immense.
And he’s taken some rather unusual paths to get there, as well as conventional gym training.
Before he fought KSI in 2019, Paul admitted to drinking cow’s blood in a desperate attempt to gain weight, as well as eating 80lbs of food a day.

He told Business Insider: “I’m eating 80lbs a day. I’m drinking the blood of cows and I’m pushing a lot of weights up in the air and putting them down.”
Paul also abstained from sex for a month, while he was seeing ex-girlfriend Josie Canseco.
    IN PAUL’S CORNER…
Most recently, Paul has been training with his brother Jake – who has also got a taste for boxing, having fought twice – knocking out NBA legend Nate Robinson recently on the Mike Tyson v Roy Jones Jr undercard.
But it was former lineal heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs who was tasked with teaching Logan how to box in preparation for his second fight with KSI.
And Briggs could be credited with getting his student into the best condition of his life.
‘The Cannon’ was so impressed by Paul during sparing sessions, he tipped him to become heavyweight champion of the world.
“This kid could be heavyweight champion of the world in four or five years, facts,” he said.

For his training regime, after waking up at 9am in his adopted home of Los Angeles, the 6ft 2in Paul boxes until 11:30am.
He then takes an ice bath that the millionaire vlogger has had installed into his sun-soaked garden, alongside a boxing ring that dominates the landscape.
Paul is also a fan of hyperbaric oxygen chambers, and uses one regularly to further boost his recovery.
The strength and conditioning training that has helped sculpt the former high school wrestler into a man mountain takes place at around 6:30pm when California has cooled down, and usually lasts 90 minutes.
    THE DIET OF A CHAMP
Paul admits he works out six times a week, but takes Sundays off.
And he fuels his body with the right kind of foods that’ll give him energy for his hectic schedule.
“As far as my nutrition goes, I eat very healthy, only really consuming greens and high-quality protein (at least 100 grams per day) like eggs and chicken,” he told Askmen.

“I cut out all pasta, breads and dairy from my diet and make sure I drink at least 2.5 gallons of water a day.”
It’s a fitness regime that has helped Paul reach his fighting weight of 13st 8lbs.
Perhaps it’ll give him a fighting chance against Mayweather next year.

Conor McGregor IGNORES Jake Paul’s $50m fight offer after YouTuber calls him ‘pussy’ in Instagram direct message

CONOR McGREGOR blanked Jake Paul’s direct message on Instagram after the YouTuber called him a ‘pussy’.
Paul has been campaigning extensively to fight the ex-UFC champion and even claimed he had sent McGregor a $50million fight offer.

Conor McGregor appears to have read Jake Paul’s message

The social media sensation then went one further by private messaging the Irishman online.
He wrote: “Take the fight pussy.”
Paul, 23, later provided a screenshot which appeared to reveal that McGregor, 32, had read the message – but chose to ignore it.
It comes after the 2-0 internet star called The Notorious an ‘Irish c***’ and took a swipe at his fiancee Dee Devlin in an X-rated rant.

Even Paul’s brother Logan – who faces Floyd Mayweather in February – admitted Jake was ‘f***ing dumb’ for going after McGregor.
But the younger of the two is showing no signs of slowing down his pursuit and even went off on UFC boss Dana White.
White responded by saying he is ‘thinking of letting Amanda Nunes knock his ass out’.
But again Paul’s interest lies only with McGregor, despite pelting his training partner Dillon Danis in a drive-by water balloon attack.

He told White: “Alright, Dana, let me try to understand your logic here: So you’re saying you don’t want me to fight Conor McGregor because he’s one of the greatest fighters in the world and I’m just like a YouTuber of whatever.
“But then, in a statement today, you say: ‘Oh, I’m thinking about just having Amanda Nunes knock him out.’ But she’s also one of the greatest.
“Dana, you seem to have this thing where you sort of hate on videogamers or YouTubers and influencers and us boxing and all this stuff.
“But then, you spend half your time hanging out with the Nelk Boys. And I know why.
“It’s because they have hella influence over the male audience and you know that’s gonna promote the UFC.
“And right now, baby, there’s nobody in this f***ing world who is promoting the UFC as much as me.
“Tens of millions of views, number one search result on Google when you type in Conor McGregor, when you type in UFC, when you type in Dana White.
“So, you’re not making sense here.”

Gennady Golovkin looks shredded on the scales as he weighs-in for ring return with 38-year-old set to make history

GENNADY GOLOVKIN showed off his shredded physique on the scales as he weighed in for his record breaking title defence.
The Kazakh legend – who turned 38 in April – looked incredible as he came in at 159.2lb – just under the 160lb middleweight limit.

Golovkin returns to the ring against mandatory challenger Kamil Szeremeta of Poland.
And for the first time he will be defending the IBF crown he won against Sergiy Derevyanchenko last year, after Canelo Alvarez vacated the strap.
It allows Golovkin to make a record breaking 21st middleweight world title defence – having been tied with American great Bernard Hopkins.
GGG will be cornered by Jonathan Banks for the third time after they linked up last year.

And Banks – who famously trained Wladimir Klitschko after the death of Emanuel Steward – has helped Golovkin once again boil down his body.
He credits Triple-G’s immense commitment and dedication which has paved the way for his monumental 21st title defence.
Banks told BoxingScene: “He’s a very disciplined guy, that’s number one.
“Number two, it is very rare because when you get guys that get to a certain level, that’s when their character is really revealed.

“And GGG always reveals his character as a true professional and a disciplined guy, always.
“You get sparring partners to come in to spar, they realise that they’re sparring a guy on a different level, but that doesn’t change their habits.
“They still show up late, they still miss practices, and I gotta send them home. You gotta go.
“This man is a true professional, and if he’s being one, then everybody else in camp should be one as well.”

Jake Paul taunts Conor McGregor pal Dillon Danis by FaceTiming girlfriend Savannah Montano who calls him ‘f***ing loser’

JAKE PAUL has escalated his feud with Dillon Danis by FaceTiming the Bellator star’s girlfriend, Savannah Montano.
The pair, 23 and 27 respectively, have been engaged in a war of words for well over a year.

Jake Paul FaceTimed Dillon Danis’ girlfriend Savannah Montano

Jake Paul recently ambushed Dillon Danis and pelted him with water balloons

During that time, Paul – who recently scored a viral KO of Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr – has repeatedly challenged the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace to meet him inside the boxing ring.
Paul escalated his feud with Conor McGregor’s team-mate earlier this week by interrupting his interview with former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub and pelting him with water balloons.
But the former Disney star has taken things to the next level by posting a clip of him video calling Danis’ partner to social media.
The video’s accompanying caption read: “Aye @dillondanis come get your girl back.”

Montano was left furious by Paul’s FaceTime and subsequently launched a scathing attack on him after footage of the call was made public.
She said: “I’m dead confused at some of you guys going, ‘Oh, but why did you answer his call?’
“As if I have his f**king number saved in my phone! It was literally a random number. You can literally see in the video, I’m like, ‘Who is this?’
“And as soon as I see his face I’m, like, ‘Eww, what the f? Like, stop, stop, stop, I’m literally f’ing nauseous, like, I’m gonna go throw up right now, like, ugh.'”

Jake Paul claimed last year to have “hooked up” with Savannah MontanoCredit: Instagram / @savmontano
She added: “I just wanna say that everybody that’s not Jake Paul’s 12-year-old fans can clearly see that he’s just a f**king loser, and I don’t know how he got my number.
“That s**t’s embarrassing, and I don’t wanna be associated [with it]. It’s f**ked up that I’m being used as a pawn in this bulls**t.”
Paul’s latest act of trolling toward Danis isn’t the first time he’s tried to cause friction between the MMA fighter and his girlfriend.
In 2019, he told TMZ: “Dillon, I know you’re watching this and just remember you’re still a b**** and I hooked up with your girlfriend.
“Savannah, what’s good? How you doing?”

Paul, who is 2-0 as a professional boxer, is aggressively pursuing a fight with UFC superstar McGregor.
The American recently claimed to have sent the former two-division champion a £37million ($50million) offer, a claim he made in a foul-mouthed video.
McGregor – who is currently preparing for his UFC 257 rematch with Dustin Poirier – has yet to respond to Paul’s call-outs or the direct message he received from the YouTuber on Instagram. More

Canelo Alvarez slams Gennady Golovkin as ‘inhumane and stupid’ after claiming he might legally KILL someone in ring

CANELO ALVAREZ called Gennady Golovkin ‘inhumane and stupid’ for his comments on seizing the chance to ‘legally kill a person in the ring’.
The usually soft-spoken GGG reacted furiously after 47-year-old De La Hoya said the Kazakh would be an ‘easy’ fight for his comeback.

Golovkin told AFP: “You know Oscar, you know how dirty his mouth is.
“Everything involving Gennady Golovkin for him is a nightmare.
“He can say whatever. But let me put it this way – If I got an opportunity to legally kill a person in the ring, I might seize it.”
Golovkin still has ill-will towards the boxing legend stemming from his pair of fights against arch rival Canelo Alvarez – who De La Hoya formerly promoted.

And it appears Canelo is not yet willing to drop his animosity with GGG, as he slammed the ex-middleweight king for ‘talking stupid’.
Speaking to Boxing Social through a translator, Alvarez said: “I think it’s stupidity. He’s just talking stupid.
“In the ring, you get up there to hurt them, but not to kill somebody. You don’t want to kill somebody there.

“It’s not humane. It’s not human to want to do that, so it’s stupidity. He’s talking stupid.

“It’s not right, it’s not human to want to try and kill somebody and touch a life.”
Canelo, 30, fought to a contentious draw against Golovkin, 38, in 2017 with several feeling the Mexican was fortunate to avoid defeat.
But in their equally thrilling rematch a year later, Alvarez prevailed with another razor thin set of scorecards.

Floyd Mayweather now the ‘most expensive celeb’ on Cameo as he charges DOUBLE Mike Tyson’s fee for custom shoutouts

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is the ‘most expensive celebrity’ on Cameo.
And the man nicknamed Money, who will bank another fortune when he returns to the ring to face Logal Paul next year, appropriately charges double Mike Tyson’s rate for custom shoutouts.

Floyd Mayweather is charging fans £829.17 for a personal video message through platform Cameo

Cameo allows fans and followers to request celebrities such as actors, sports stars and singers to record a personal message – that could be a birthday wish, a congratulations or simply a hello.
And Mayweather has got in on the act – but at a whopping £829.17 per clip for anything from motivational encouragement to boxing tips.
That is exactly twice as much as fellow boxing icon Iron Mike, who made an impressive comeback against Roy Jones Jr last month, who charges £415 when he is available.
In a video advertising his services, Mayweather said: “You know who this is – it’s Floyd Mayweather.

“Money, pretty boy, Mr 50-0, the champ.
“With my partners at Stardam Images and Cameo, you can have me customise messages.
“I’m the most expensive celebrity on Cameo and the first celebrity to go commercial with Stardam Images.
“There’s only one thing left to do. You know what to do…”

According to TMZ, the American superstar also said he wants to be the “first celebrity to make $1million on Cameo”.
So far the Money has one review – giving him a five-star rating – which simply read: “Thank you!”

Tyson, meanwhile, has 32 reviews at an average of 4.9 stars – but is currently not taking any extra requests due to the overwhelming demand for his videos.
One delighted fan wrote: “This went way beyond our highest expectations. We were seriously gob smacked! What an OMG genius moment!
“You knocked us out of the ring with this. Truly magnificent work. You killed it! We all loved it! Respect to you Mr Tyson!!”
Another said: “So thoughtful and very memorable. Thanks Mike for doing such an amazing job and adding special touches to each video!”
But the only negative review, receiving two stars, from a disgruntled user read: “Very short for the money charged.”
Tyson battled his way past the likes of Frank Bruno and Tyrell Biggs as he tore through the heavyweight division during his career, finishing in 2005 with a record of 50-6 including 44 knockouts.
But in a dream world, the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ would have loved to face off with Mayweather in the ring.
When asked which fighter from any era he would take if he could, Tyson immediately responded: “Mayweather.”

During the interview with ShoBox, he added: “Well, I would love to have fought him. I wish he was my weight.”
Tyson previously claimed he would kick Mayweather’s ‘a**e’ if they went toe to toe in a street fight.
And the 53-year-old, who infamously bit off Evander Holyfield’s ear in the ring, insisted dirty tactics would be the way to beat Mayweather.

In typical Money fashion, Mayweather is the most expensive celebrity currently on the website
