Logan Paul rages ‘f*** you’ to Canelo Alvarez after P4P star slammed brothers for shaming boxing in brutal response

LOGAN PAUL has launched a blistering attack on Canelo Alvarez after boxing’s P4P king accused the YouTuber and his brother, Jake, of disrespecting the sport.
Four-weight world champion Canelo has taken exception to the Paul brothers – who have four professional fights between them – calling out a number of high-profile fighters in recent weeks.

He told TMZ: “Ya know, it’s all about the money.
“I don’t think we would agree that people that are basketball players, that are YouTubers get licenses.
“Ya know, I don’t criticise [the Paul brothers]. This is a very risky sport, and if you go up there, it’s very risky.”
The Mexican added: “For true fighters, I do believe it is a lack of respect.”

Canelo’s comments well and truly rubbed up Logan the wrong way, so much so the 25-year-old referenced the current WBA (Super) super-middleweight champion’s two failed drug tests.
He told The Night Shift Gaming’s Mike Majlak: “I think he’s the guy who got caught using steroids twice.
“You wanna talk about ‘disrespecting boxing’, let’s talk about a guy who didn’t play by the rules. F*** you!”
Paul’s comments were in reference to Alvarez’s two failed drug tests in February 2018.

How Canelo Alvarez stacks up against the Paul brothers
The 30-year-old tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug clenbuterol, which forced him to withdraw from his rematch with Gennady Golovkin.
Alvarez has vehemently denied intentionally ingesting the banned substance, claiming the agent got into his system via tainted meat.
Logan is currently gearing up to box retired 50-0 legend Floyd Mayweather Jr in an exhibition bout in February.
And he reckons Alvarez’s criticism stems partly from him landing a blockbuster bout with the Money man.

How Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul compare ahead of their fight
He added: “I think he’s salty because I get a chance to beat Mayweather and he lost to him. It’s his one loss.
“I get the shot that he failed to do.”
Mayweather’s clash with the elder Paul brother will be his first foray into the ring since his one-round demolition of Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in December 2018.
Fanmio CEO Solomun Engel, who is promoting the fight, recently revealed to SunSport that Pretty Boy isn’t underestimating the controversial YouTuber, saying: “I think Floyd is going to have fun with it but he’s taking it very seriously.
“Floyd trains extensively and I don’t think he’s going to go into this fight and not be prepared. He’s very excited for the fight.
“He sees some big opportunities here, and I don’t want to speak for him but I think we all feel this could be a very historical fight and a number of different levels.”

Jake Paul plans to face Conor McGregor in 2022 as assistant coach predicts UFC star would bank MORE than $50m

JAKE PAUL has his sights set on facing Conor McGregor – in a fight that could earn the UFC star MORE than the initial $50million offer by 2022.
After the YouTube star left ex-NBA player Nate Robinson knocked out and into a viral meme, he has since put all his efforts into pursuing McGregor.

McGregor has been relentlessly called out by YouTuber Paul Credit: Rex Features

Paul, 23, even claimed to have sent the Irishman a cheque worth $50m in an attempt to prove he is the real deal.
But McGregor, 32, appears more interested in his return to the UFC, which he will mark against Dustin Poirier, 31, on January 23.
And Paul’s assistant trainer J’Leon Love is in no rush to throw the 2-0 upstart straight into the mix with the former two-weight UFC champion.
Instead he is happy to let the fight build and become more lucrative – while also giving Paul the chance to gain further experience in the ring.

Love, 33, told SunSport: “Let’s see how 2021 pans out.
“Maybe we have one or two in the earlier year and then maybe fight again at the end of the year, check out and 2022 have a big year.
“If we can throw Conor McGregor in there? S*** that would be solid, as Jake would be a solid boxer by then.
“Like I said, no rush, it’s good to talk about it, it’s good with the antics, it builds something up.

“If Conor is interested, maybe it’s not $50million later, maybe it’s more, you never know.
“It’s all about making the right moves, but we have something really solid here and people are hating on it. But it’s something new and if you stick to the old it stays old.”
Love is a veteran of Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas entourage, and considers the American legend and close friend and mentor.
And he watched as Mayweather, now 43, made north of £300m for beating McGregor in round ten of the southpaw’s boxing debut in 2017.
From what he saw, Love is adamant the skill disparity between Paul and McGregor favours his man when stripped down to only the sweet science.
He said: “I think a fight with Conor McGregor would be a good chess match.

“It will be a decent chess match and from that on who has the better boxing experience between the two? Jake Paul.
“Conor only has one fight, with the greatest, but one fight.
“I know Conor McGregor’s is more stand up in MMA, he can kick well, he has a really good left hand.
“But I think if we can take that left hand away, which I am really good at breaking down, then we have a one-armed fighter and we’ll kill him any day.”
Paul became public enemy No1 after he called out McGregor by labelling him an ‘Irish c***’ and even went after his fiancee Dee Devlin.
But Love insists fighters should take a leaf out of the internet sensation’s book and risk the wrath of critics by making a name for themselves online.

J’Leon Love is Paul’s assistant trainer

Love considers Mayweather a close friend and mentor
Mayweather sold 29MILLION pay-per-views in his historic 50-0 career – as fans flocked to watch him either win or lose.
And Paul is following the same marmite approach as he banks on his equally loyal army of fans and haters.
Love said: “He’s marketing strategy is 100 per cent ill.
“What he brings, if you take the blueprint of his marketing strategy you can really uplift you’re game, he’s the most talked about fighter with just two fights.
“Whether it’s bad or good everybody’s talking about him, wanting to see him fight.”

Floyd Mayweather continues training career as he guides 2016 Olympian Richardson Hitchins ahead of Logan Paul fight

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is continuing his transition into coaching as he was captured taking 2016 Olympian Richardson Hitchins on the pads.

The retired legend, 43, has been lending masterclasses to proteges Gervonta Davis, 26, and Devin Haney, 22, in his Las Vegas gym recently.
Now 12-0 super-lightweight Hitchins – who represented Haiti in the Rio Olympic Games – is the latest prospect under the guidance of Mayweather.
And the former five-weight champion was so impressed with what he saw, he signed the 23-year-old to his promotional stable.
Mayweather’s latest acquisition comes as he prepares to return to the ring.

In an unprecedented move, he faces YouTuber Logan Paul in a ‘special exhibition fight’ in February 2021.
Despite Mayweather’s farcical skill and experience disparity, Paul, 25, is armed with a FOUR STONE and six inch height advantage.
And while appearing to focus on the next big thing, Mayweather leave no stone unturned to avoid what would be an unthinkable and disastrous defeat.

Solomon Engel, Founder and CEO of Fanmio, who are putting on the pay-per-view spectacle, told SunSport: “I think Floyd is going to have fun with it but he’s taking it very seriously.

“Floyd trains extensively and I don’t think he’s going to go into this fight and not be prepared. He’s very excited for the fight.
“He sees some big opportunities here, and I don’t want to speak for him but I think we all feel this could be a very historical fight and a number of different levels.” More

Avni Yildirim so desperate to fight for Canelo Alvarez’s WBC’s title he would face Mexican on THE MOON as talks progress

AVNI YILDIRIM is so desperate to fight for Canelo Alvarez’s WBC’s title that he would face the Mexican on THE MOON.
Alvarez picked up the vacant strap after dominating Callum Smith, who also surrendered the WBA and Ring Magazine belts.

Now, Yildirim finds himself in pole position to be Canelo’s next challenger, as he has 90 days to defend his super-middleweight crown against the Turk.
Trainer Eddy Reynoso revealed Alvarez could use the occasion to mark his first fight back in Mexico since 2011.
But Yildirim is not phased by the potential homecoming – and would even take on the pound-for-pound king on the luna surface.
He told SunSport: “I don’t care if we fight in Mexico, the US, Turkey or on the moon as long as I get my shot at the world title.

“For me, it is not so much about fighting Canelo. It is about fighting for the WBC world championship belt, the world famous green and gold belt, the biggest prize in boxing.
“I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time and I am very proud that it will finally happen.
“I love Mexico, I have been there a couple of times, the people have always been very nice to me and treated me with respect.
“They are huge boxing fans and boxing experts so they appreciate a good fight. And that is what I will give them.”

Canelo, 30, fought just once in 2020 as his momentum was halted by a legal battle with promoter Oscar De La Hoya.
So after splitting to become a free agent, the four-weight champion is wasting no time in 2021, and already plans for unifications at 168lb.
But first he will have to deal with Yildirim and WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed Canelo has his sights set on a quick turnaround as talks between the two camps progress.
Yildirim, 29, said: “My promoter Ahmet Oener told me that he is talking to the other team.
“I don’t think the deal is done but I guess they are on a good way. I am ready to go. We could do it tomorrow if he wants.
“But, he just fought last weekend. So realistically, I hope it will happen sometime within the next three to six months.”
Yildirim was considered as a potential opponent to welcome Canelo back to the ring this year.
But as Britain’s Smith was the division’s No1 and owner of the Ring Magazine belt, he was given the nod.

The ex-sparring partners are set to fight next year
It was only in 2018 that Yildirim was drafted in as a sparring partner for Canelo, ahead of his rematch win against arch rival Gennady Golovkin.
But now he is ready to do it for real after staying tight-lipped about the sparring sessions – instead promising to do the ‘talking in the ring’.
Yildirim added: “I like sparring and I like sparring with good boxers because that is when you learn.
“But sparring is one thing, fighting is something completely different. I am looking forward to the real fight because that is when I am at my best.
“I respect Canelo. He is a great warrior and the best boxer in the world right now. I am not taking anything away from him.
“But I also know what I’m capable of. And I know that I will be very well prepared for this. I don’t like to talk too much before a fight.
“I do my talking in the ring. So let’s see what happens when we finally meet.”

Logan Paul admits rivalry with KSI is fake as Brit YouTube star rules out trilogy bout

LOGAN PAUL admitted his rivalry with KSI is fake and “all for show” – then the Brit ruled out a trilogy fight.
The two YouTubers slugged it out twice in the ring after months of trash talking.

The first bout in Manchester in August 2018 ended in a majority draw after six entertaining rounds.
And KSI defeated the American at Staples Center in Los Angeles this time last year.
Watford-born KSI, 26, was handed the victory after a split decision – helped in part by a two-point deduction for his opponent – and fell to the canvas in tears, clearly delighted to bag the bragging rights between the pair.
Paul will take on Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout in February.

And despite the apparent bitterness and hatred with KSI, Paul admitted inside the ring it was all a facade.
The American said after his loss: “Fair play to JJ – you are one of the toughest people I know, you deserve everything you have.
“I wish you the best. You had my respect before the fight, you are one of the toughest people I know.
“I don’t like talking trash, it was all for show, it was all to sell the fight. I have nothing but respect.

“I was more calm this year and spent more time practising boxing, we worked on my conditioning, that was why I was better than the first fight.
“I think the two-point deduction was harsh, I am not happy with the commission about that, I think if you do the math that cost me the fight.”
After a moment of hesitation, KSI spoke kindly of his opponent.
He said: “It takes a big man to get in the ring, you’re a big man.
“You made me work today and last year. Thank you for a good fight.”

He added: “It was cool to shake his hand but I don’t know if he means it. It looked good on camera.
“I was not up to par and was operating at about 60 per cent.
“It does not feel like a loss, I know what that feels like.
“Something tells me I am going to be alright, in the face of adversity rises a titan.
“I don’t want to be the person who wins all the time, it is cooler to fall short or fail and then rise up.”

Mike Tyson gave rapper Ed Lover a Bentley for FREE ‘as money didn’t mean nothing and I had $300m in the bank’

MIKE TYSON once gave rapper Ed Lover a Bentley for FREE ‘as money didn’t mean nothing’ to the heavyweight legend.
Iron Mike was rumoured to be worth around $300million during his heyday, and enjoyed the highlife.

So much so, that Lover – real name James Roberts – revealed Tyson gifted him a Bentley out of generosity.
And Tyson, now 54, confirmed the story in an interview with VLADTV.
He said: “I had cars. Money didn’t mean nothing to me.
“It’s like you said, if I had $300 million — well, it’s something around $300 million — so, what would $500 thousand matter?

“I just had a lot of money back then. I had more money than anyone in our community had. Even the entertainers, I had more money than now.
“So, I never had money before it’s what you do when you never had money. You buy a lot of goodies for you and your friends that never had money.”
Lover explained that Tyson handed him the keys to his motor so that he could travel back to his mothers house.
But the musician had the car for three weeks until he claims Iron Mike’s ex-manager John Horne called to pick it back up.

Mike Tyson’s incredible bodyweight workout routine

It was only 15 years later that Tyson told Lover the car was meant to be a present, and that it was nabbed by his manager.
Lover recalled: “He said, ‘You know I gave you that car, right? I said, ‘What?’
“He said, ‘Nah, I gave it to you. I wanted you to have that, you was my man and I knew you couldn’t afford a Bentley or nothing like that and I like to have all my friends be fly and I really wanted you to have that’.
“He said, ‘John came and got that, these jealous motherf***ers, right?’ And I said, ‘Yup’. ”

Roy Jones Jr, 51, in talks to fight UFC legend Anderson Silva, 45, while also eyeing Mike Tyson rematch

ROY JONES JR is in talks to finally fight UFC legend Anderson Silva, with a Mike Tyson rematch also in his sights.
SunSport can reveal the pair are in early stages of negotiations, following years of missed opportunities.

Silva, 45, had always wanted to fight Jones, 51, by crossing over to the boxing ring, but his UFC contract blocked the move.
But following his release from the premier MMA promotion this year, the Brazilian legend is free to make the step into the ring.
It comes after Jones came out of retirement to face heavyweight icon Mike Tyson, 54, in an eight-round exhibition bout in November.
The pair ended up with a draw, and Jones’ trainer revealed the former four-division champion will be tempted to fight again against either Silva or Tyson.

Coach Tom Yankello said: “I think that rematch and Anderson Silva are the two fights that he’s looking at.
“Anderson Silva would be the first choice for him as he feels like he could really do what he wants with him and it would be worth his while.
“He’s been talking about fighting Anderson Silva for a long time and now he’s not in the UFC they can make that happen.
“If that fight was presented he’d fight again. I know he’d do the Tyson fight, he said that right after, we’ve talked about it.

“He’d definitely contemplate it anyway, in my opinion, I think he’d do it from our conversations. I could use the word ‘might’.
“I know he’d definitely do the Anderson Silva fight if there was enough public interest that wanted to see them fight.”

Silva has boxed twice before, losing his debut in 1998 before returning in 2005 with a win, a year before signing with the UFC.
Jones only retired professionally in 2018, and insisted he would only fight on if it was against long-time rival Silva.
But the all-time American great then faced Tyson in a non-sanctioned box office spectacle two years later, which sold over 1.6million pay-per-views.
Both Jones and his cornerman feel they should have won the fight.

And after experiencing the aura of sharing the ring with Iron Mike, Yankello is adamant his man would be better prepared in a rematch.
He explained: “I think he would definitely take the Tyson fight again, we both think he could do better.
“We know Tyson can’t do any better bar catch Roy with one shot and that’s how we felt going in.
“I feel like this time he’d be even more confident as now he’s been in with Tyson, he knows the unknown but now he knows what to expect.
“I don’t think Tyson can fight Roy and better than he did but Roy could have landed better and we would love that fight again.”

Tyson Fury trains in dark alone as he quotes Dark Knight villain Bane while preparing for Anthony Joshua fight

TYSON FURY took inspiration from Dark Knight Rises villain Bane as he trained in the dark alone.

And the Gypsy King appeared to be motivated by Bane as he uploaded a video on Twitter working out in pitch black.
Fury, 32, said: “Training in the dark alone, because I was born in the dark.
“I train alone, because no one’s going to help me when I’m in there fighting for my life.”
Fury is gearing up for the fight of his life as talks progress between himself and long-time rival Anthony Joshua.

But it will not be the first time the pair have shared the ring.
When a 20-year-old AJ was a raw novice in 2010 less than two years into his amateur training, Fury visited his Finchley ABC gym for some sparring.
The Gypsy King had planned to take it easy on the unknown kid but Joshua heard any man capable of KOing Fury could earn themselves his Rolex.
So when AJ caught him with a stunning uppercut that was the very start of their rivalry.

Joshua, 31, recalled: “Before that spar, Fury said, ‘If anyone can beat me up or knock me out, they can have my Rolex watch’.
“All I wanted was his Rolex watch. I was hungry then and I am even hungrier now.
“It was a good spar and I didn’t really know too much back then, it was just passion.
“Now I have some boxing IQ and passion, I know it will be a great fight.
“There was a Rolex on offer then but now there is an even bigger pot of gold at the end of this rainbow and I want to take his head off his shoulders when that fight happens.
“He knows about my uppercut, he knew about it from back then. Trust me, he knows what’s coming, he knows.” More
