Watch Canelo Alvarez teach Ryan Garcia brutal body shot that KOd Campbell and Brit says it was hardest punch he’d faced

LUKE CAMPBELL can have Canelo Alvarez to thank for giving Ryan Garcia a masterclass on body punching.
Campbell was left unable to beat the count when he faced Canelo’s protege Garcia at the start of January.

It followed from a devastating left hook that landed right on the sweet spot and had the brave Brit wincing in agony.
But it was no fluke as footage has since emerged of Canelo, 30, giving Garcia, 22, a lesson in the art of body shots.
The Mexican superstar is seen instructing how to feint upstairs before whipping in a left hook to the body.
And it is apparent Garcia is a clear listener and learner after he faked a hook to the head before crippling Campbell’s ribs in round seven.

Canelo – whose coach Eddy Reynoso also trains Garcia – took pride in the win as he celebrated with his gym partner in the ring afterwards.
The new lightweight Golden Boy is now set to be mandated against WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, 22.
And Campbell, 33, has sent out a warning to the champion and anyone else in the division that Garcia is the hardest hitter he has ever fought.

He said: “He’s very heavy handed. Even when I was blocking the shots, I could feel them.

“That was the hardest shot I was ever hit with. I tried and tried to get up, but I couldn’t.
“I felt him coming on, and I was moving back, and when you move back my body relaxed a little bit and that’s the exact time he hit me.”

Anthony Joshua confident he can persuade ‘reasonable’ Oleksandr Usyk to step aside for Tyson Fury showdown

ANTHONY JOSHUA believes he can charm Oleksandr Usyk into stepping aside for his date with Tyson Fury.
The Ukraine southpaw is AJ’s overdue mandatory challenger and wants either the WBO belt, or a hefty step-aside fee, to let the undisputed decider happen.

Luckily for WBA, IBF and WBO boss AJ – who needs to snatch the Gypsy King’s WBC belt for total supremacy – he and Usyk are Matchroom stablemates with promoter Eddie Hearn.
And 31-year-old Josh fancies his chances of sweet talking the undisputed cruiserweight king into waiting a little longer for his crack at the heavyweight belts.
“I think Usyk will be keen to step aside and let the fight happen,” AJ said.
“We’ve reached out to his management team.

“He’s a reasonable person and he’ll understand the magnitude of this situation.”
Usyk, 33, told SunSport last month that he was considering letting the all-English clash happen as it “could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.

But Joshua has his eyes on a domestic showdown with Tyson FuryCredit: PA
But shrewd AJ is ready with plans A and B as he reaches a huge crossroads in his career.
He said: “If I go right I’ve got Tyson Fury, tough fight. If I go left, I’ve got Usyk, another tough fight.

“Ideally I’ll go right but ultimately all I want to do is focus on the fight. It’s a challenge for me.

“I respect Fury, he’s done great things. But I want to challenge myself.
“If that’s with Tyson Fury for the WBC title I promise you I will go that route.
“I will take that opportunity with both hands and both feet.”

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury ‘WON’T happen this year’ because of Deontay Wilder ‘rematch clause’ says Derek Chisora

ANTHONY JOSHUA’s eagerly-anticipated heavyweight title unification fight with Tyson Fury will be derailed by Deontay Wilder, according to Derek Chisora.
Negotiations over the long-awaited Battle of Britain are underway, with both parties confident of hashing out a deal.

But former world title challenger Chisora reckons the trilogy fight clause Wilder had placed in his contract to rematch Fury will delay the super-fight until 2022.
Del Boy told IFL TV: “The contract says he [Wilder] fights Tyson Fury three times.
“So why is everybody trying to come up with their own conclusion for?
“We’ve seen the first [Fury vs. Wilder] fight, we’ve seen the second fight, and now we’re going to see the third fight.

“So I’m hoping the third fight is going to happen. He’s going to fight Tyson Fury again in 2021.

“The fight WON’T happen this year because Deontay Wilder has got his rematch clause.
“I will bet you any money [Joshua-Fury doesn’t happen in 2021].”
Former WBC king Wilder began mediation last November after Fury abandoned plans to have a third fight.

Wilder and his team believe Fury is still contractually obliged to take part in a trilogy fight.
Team Fury, however, are adamant the American’s rematch clause expired last October.

But Chisora expects the presiding judge to rule in favour of Wilder, who lost the WBC strap to The Gypsy King last February.
He added: “Tyson Fury was supposed to fight a couple of months ago [against Agit Kabayel], and then Deontay Wilder went to court in America, and then they pulled the fight out.”
“There are problems, Deontay Wilder wants his rematch. That is it.
“If Deontay Wilder says ‘I’m going to step aside now so AJ and Tyson Fury can fight,’ yeah, but no, Deontay Wilder wants his rematch.”
Despite the prospect of potentially having to face Wilder again, Fury’s sights are firmly set on ripping the WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO titles away from AJ.

And the former unified heavyweight champion reckons he can get the job done inside two rounds.
Fury told Sky Sports: “I don’t think he is as good as people talk him up to be.
“And I don’t believe he believes it himself, I think he has a confidence issue after two shaky performances and boxing is all about form.
“On his last two fights he is not in form and, on my last two, I am.
“Momentum is with me and, because of that, I believe I take him out early, very early, maybe inside one or two rounds.”

Jake Paul’s bad behaviour, from sharing explicit content on YouTube to rowing with Zayn Malik and getting arrested

JAKE PAUL isn’t afraid of courting controversy.
The YouTube vlogger/boxer has already caused shockwaves in the sports world – slamming his brother Logan’s upcoming bout with Floyd Mayweather and calling out Conor McGregor for a fight, including (perhaps foolishly) dissing his missus.

Vlogger turned boxer Paul has made a £8.5million fortune

But that’s not even half of what the bad boy 23-year-old has done; also upsetting law enforcement, Zayn Malik, YouTube censors and the Mayor of Casablancas on his way to becoming an internet personality worth around £8.5million.
It’s any wonder he’s quitting LA and selling his £5million ‘Team 10’ compound to focus on his boxing.
Here’s just some of his bad boy misdemeanours…
    SEX SELLS
Over the years, Paul’s filmed pranks have gone viral – some causing controversy.

One particular incident violated YouTube’s strict age-restriction policies in a vlog titled ‘I lost my virginity’ back in 2018.
The video featured an explicit thumbnail showing a semi-nude photo of Paul and his then-girlfriend Erika Costell on top of each other.
YouTube clamped down on the clip and made it age-restricted, while Paul was also slammed for sharing inappropriate content with his young and impressionable audience.
As a result, Paul was forced to change the thumbnail to a more PC image of him and Costell clothed and not touching each other.

    SHAM MARRIAGE
    Suspicious much?
In January last year, Paul and fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau were accused of faking a marriage for clicks.
The apparent nuptials happened in 2019 and featured on their social media accounts, but the wedding wasn’t legally binding and never officially recorded.
At the same time, Mongeau was also dating Miley Cyrus’s brother Noah.
Paul and Mongeau’s relationship cooled in early 2020.

    ZAYN
The former One Direction star was left fuming by Paul in early 2000 after a blazing row in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Malik and Paul were in town for the rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury and were both staying at the Westgate hotel, when an argument erupted.
Their suites were opposite one another, and when Paul tried to talk to Malik – the ex-boy band singer reportedly responded rudely.
An upset Paul took to Twitter to tell all. “Almost had to clap up Zane from 1 direction because he is a little guy and has an attitude and basically told me to f*** off for no reason when I was being nice to him.
“Zane [I know] you’re reading this…stop being angry because u came home alone to your big ass hotel room hahaha.”
Malik didn’t respond, but his supermodel girlfriend Gigi Hadid stepped in and defend her man.
She replied: “Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies…? Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie.”

Paul blasted Malik online, until the singer’s girlfriend Gigi Hadid stepped in

“Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly ass. Go to bed…”
The next morning, a foggy Paul revealed he was drunk during the altercation.
“Someone needs to take my phone when I’m drunk I’m a f***ing idiot”, he wrote.
    UNDER ARREST
Back in May 2020, Paul and a group of pals went for dinner at a Chinese restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona near a shopping centre.
Earlier they had been participating in the George Floyd protests, before grabbing a bite.
The protestors made their way to Scottsdale Fashion Square, where some began looting the stores.
Paul and his pals made their way through the shopping centre and began filming the looting, which drew criticism on social media.

“We filmed everything we saw in an effort to share our experience and bring more attention to the anger felt in every neighbourhood we traveled through; we were strictly documenting, not engaging,” he later said in an apology.
Paul was charged with criminal trespass and unlawful assembly, both misdemeanour charges, for being in the shopping centre during the riot.
Months later, the FBI raided his Calabasas home before the investigation was closed.
    DISTURBING THE PEACE
Paul’s house parties are stuff of legend, according to guests. And the local authorities are never happy when they happen either.
Back in 2017, it was reported that neighbours of a previous home in Beverly Glen were meeting with city council members and police officials about filing a class-action public nuisance lawsuit against Paul.
That came after the social media star made his public address general knowledge and fans began to congregate outside, as well as multiples calls to cops regarding noise complaints and large gatherings.
And he also upset the Mayor of Calabasas Alicia Weintraub, when he threw a large party at his mansion back in July – with dozen of people attending without wearing face covers and masks.

Weintraub said: “They’re having this large party, no social distancing, no masks, it’s just a big huge disregard for everything that everybody is trying to do to get things back to functioning.
“It’s really just a party acting like Covid does not exist, it’s acting that businesses aren’t closed”.
Months later, in an interview with the Daily Beast, Paul called Covid-19 a “hoax” and said he believed “98 percent of news [about COVID-19] is fake”.

Jake Paul challenged by Anthony Pettis as former UFC star claims he wants to try boxing before he retires

FORMER UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis is open to boxing Jake Paul.
Paul – the younger brother of fellow YouTuber Logan – has called out several MMA fighters following his emphatic KO of Nate Robinson last November.

And Pettis, who recently signed with the Professional Fighters League, says he’s open to being the 23-year-old’s next opponent.
When asked if he’d be interested in fighting the younger Paul brother, the UFC’s former 155lb champ told TMZ: “Bro, I would love to box.
“I haven’t boxed yet, so I’m 0-0. Boxing is something I grew up watching my whole life.
“That’s why I got into fighting, honestly. Watching [Julio Cesar] Chavez, [Oscar] De La Hoya, [Floyd] Mayweather, all these guys up and coming.”

Pettis, also known as Showtime, was impressed by Paul’s demolition of Robinson, adding: “He looked good against another professional athlete.
“Nate didn’t look like he should’ve been in there, honestly. I’m like, ‘Yo, did he get any sparring sessions in? Did anybody not, like, show him how to throw and get in a good stance?’
“It was like he was just running at him. But, man, I respect him for getting in that ring, bro.”

How Logan Paul and little brother Jake compare

Paul’s annihilation of Robinson was his second stoppage victory in as many fights, the first of which came against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib last January.

Pettis has been impressed by the improvements Paul has made since his pro debut, saying: “I think he’s definitely getting better.
“He prepared for a boxing match. You could tell he was in boxing shape, he was in a stance at least.
“It’s going to be interesting to see how far he can go with it. He’s definitely an athlete. Both of them brothers. They’re definitely in good shape and they stay in good shape.
“So it’s not like they’re some couch potatoes jumping in [there] against professional athletes. They definitely train the part.”

Regardless of whether he manages to get his hands on Paul, Pettis is eager to test himself in the squared circle.
He said: “I’m only 33, and I’ve been doing this MMA thing for so long. 12 years with Zuffa.
“So as a pro, I think I’ve been like 14 years. It’s a crazy life I live. I’d love to go in there and try something new.”
Paul currently has set his sights on a blockbuster showdown with former two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor, who he called out repeatedly last December.
But former UFC welterweight Ben Askren looks set to be the YouTube star’s next opponent after accepting his call-out.

Tyson Fury says his mum can’t understand why he is so famous as she was confused by legion of fans following Wilder draw

TYSON FURY says his mum could not understand why he was so famous and asked him why so many people ask him for photographs and autographs.
The WBC champion is on a collision course with Anthony Joshua to unify the heavyweight division in a fight that could be worth £500m.

Tyson Fury’s mum does not understand why he is so famous and asks the world champion why so many people ask him for photographs and autograph

Whether his mother Amber will be in attendance remains to be seen, as she had never been to one of her son’s fights, amateur or pro, despite dad John playing a big part in the 32-year-old’s ring career.
In his autobiography, Behind The Mask, the heavyweight hero explained how his mum is not fully aware of his superstardom.
And she was puzzled when so many fans asked for pictures during a shopping trip following his 2018 draw with Deontay Wilder.
Fury wrote: “To be honest, my mum doesn’t fully understand what I have achieved as a boxer.

“I took her out shopping one time after the Wilder fight and I was being stopped for photographs and autographs everywhere I went in Manchester and she couldn’t understand it.
“She actually said, ‘Hey, son, how do you know so many people?’
“I had to explain to her that I was the heavyweight champion of the world and a lot of people had watched me and supported me. That was actually very special.”
Fury’s brothers Shane, Hughie and John Jr as well as wife Paris, who is currently holidaying with her husband in Miami, frequently join the heavyweight before his fights, however his dad John has been unable to travel to his Stateside bouts due to a prior jail sentence.

But the Gypsy King relishes the time spent with his mum, and revealed she even told him off for attempting to buy her a luxury designer Louis Vuitton bag during the shopping trip.
He continued: “It was a lovely time that I spent with my mum – just like any son would like to.
“I was able to treat her to her favourite perfume and I wanted to buy her a Louis Vuitton bag, but she ended up shouting at me, ‘Don’t be wasting your money on that. Save your money because you never know when you’ll need it!’.
“Only a mother would tell off a multimillionaire like that. She was more worried about me then she was herself and I guess that’s the way all good mothers are. I’m in awe of them.”

Tyson Fury reckons Anthony Joshua’s confidence is shot after two ‘shaky’ displays and predicts shock first-round KO

TYSON FURY reckons Anthony Joshua’s confidence is shot after two ‘shaky’ performances.
Watford’s WBA, IBF and WBO champ jabbed and moved his way to an Andy Ruiz Jr rematch win last December and stopped Kubrat Pulev in nine rounds last month.

But Fury reckons his brilliant February demolition of Deontay Wilder and the bloodbath points win over Otto Wallin in September 2019, that left him needing 47 stitches, look better.
And he reckons the 31-year-old Olympic 2012 icon is struggling for self-belief, despite bouncing back from his June 2019 KO loss to Ruiz with a couple of comfortable wins.

The 32-year-old WBC king also urged his rival not to let their rivalry go stale.
When Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao finally met in 2015, it was at least five years too late after money and ego delayed the bout.

In June, Fury and AJ agreed a 50-50 split for a first fight and a 60-40 split going to the winner for the rematch.
And the undefeated 6ft 9in ace has told Joshua to sign the contract or publicly quit the talks.
“This fight has been brewing for a long time, they have been avoiding me for a long time,” he said. “Now it has finally got to happen.
“They have either got to run away from the fight and announce that publicly or they take the fight.
“Either way, it is a lose-lose situation for them.
“Boxing is one of the only sports where rarely the best face the best.
“It’s always a champion picking his opponents, you never get the two best guys fighting each other.
“We saw the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight but we were waiting for about ten years for that fight and I believe Pacquiao was past his best when it happened, even though he is still boxing now.
“So hopefully we get to go one-on-one soon, not just the two best heavyweights out there but the two best that are in their prime.”

MIKE TYSON has sparked rumours that he could make a switch to MMA for his next fight.
The latest training footage of the 54-year-old shows him sparring in the Octagon.

Tyson came out of retirement for an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr in November.
He has confirmed his plans to fight take part in another fight later in the year.
And some fans are now convinced that he could try his luck at MMA.
Famed MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro shared a clip of Tyson sparring in the Octagon.

In the footage, Iron Mike lands some heavy shots while he has his opponent pinned to the cage.
The caption of Cordeiro’s video read: “The tiger @miketyson is in the cage. Watch out!”
Tyson has previously described UFC as ‘sexy’, but insisted the money in boxing is better.
Speaking to podcaster Brant James, he said: “MMA will always have more views and stuff than boxing, but boxers will always make more money than MMA fighters.”

Then quizzed on why that’s the case, he continued: “That’s tricky, it doesn’t make any sense.
“I don’t know, they don’t make enough money in my perspective. It’s exciting and sexy, but [UFC fighters] don’t make enough money.”
But the 54-year-old did hint his comeback could be in MMA before he returned to the boxing ring.
