Mike Tyson refuses to deny robbing Wu Tang Clan rapper U-God’s mum’s earrings & says ‘I got money to pay him back now’

MIKE TYSON has refused to deny robbing Wu Tang Clan rapper U-God’s mum’s earings after turning to crime in the 1970s.
The former heavyweight boxing champion of the world has always been open about his tough upbringing in Brooklyn, New York.

Now it has been revealed one of the victims of his crimes was U-God’s very own mother.
And the rapper, real name Lamont Jody Hawkins, told Vlad TV says that Tyson stole them as they were hanging from her ears.
He explained: “Yeah, that’s what my mother said, but you know, it is what it is man.
“He knows what time it is, man. I can’t really talk about it. If I see him, he’s gonna be laughing.

“I was a baby man, I was probably like, about eight years old. Eight, nine years old, man.”
Tyson was probed about the incident by fellow former boxer Zab Judah – and the 54-year-old didn’t deny it happening.
He said: “Well you tell U-God I got the money to pay him back now, so when he sees me, tell him to ask for the money and I’ll give it to him.”
“If I snatch your mother’s earrings, that means you have more money than me.”

In his book The Undisputed Truth, Iron Mike says he was arrested 38 times by the age of 13.
He also claims he used to even rob his own teachers – so it was no surprise he dropped out of school at an early age.
Tyson recently revealed he turned his life around by giving up cocaine and drinking alcohol after being ‘zoned out’.
The heavyweight legend made a remarkable comeback last November as he fought for the first time in 15 years.
Tyson returned as a reformed fighter, dramatically transforming his body with a strict diet and training regime.

But it was his ability to walk away from consuming substances that paved the way for Iron Mike to enjoy a clean and healthy lifestyle.
He appeared on Below the Belt, and host Brendan Schaub noted how different boxing legend was compared to their last meeting, five years ago.
Tyson said: “That must of been my cocaine days.
“That was probably just a day I zoned out.
“I stopped doing cocaine and drinking, I’m serious man, everything changed, my whole life.”

Conor McGregor revealed a contract is being drawn up with Manny Pacquiao

But, the Irishman is already being confronted with what will be next, and Filipino icon Pacquiao is a name heavily linked to the UFC superstar.
McGregor said talks are progressing to the point a contract is being drawn up, and expects the fight to take place before the year ends.
He told Sportsnet: “It’s almost a certainty.
“I’m hearing there’s contracts and all coming, you now what I mean? It’s that close.”

“I haven’t spoke, but it should happen in 2021.”
Before McGregor and Poirier, both 32, confirmed their UFC 257 headliner, the southpaw was in line to face Pacquiao, 42, next.
But the UFC convinced him to commit his future to the octagon, with a return to the ring shelved.
McGregor – who lost his boxing debut to Floyd Mayweather in 2017 – explained he is eager to kickstart his MMA career again.

But he has used preparation to face left-hander Poirier with one eye on fighting eight-division champion Pacquiao.
McGregor said: “Like I said, I want to get my MMA game going as well.
“Look, man I’m fighting Poirier who is a southpaw, Manny is a southpaw.
“I have been fighting professional boxers in the gym, sparring professional southpaw boxers in the gym in preparation not only for Dustin but in the back of my mind for Manny.
“I’ve had shorter 5ft 5in rockets coming at me, so I’m ready for whatever.”
McGregor and Pacquiao are both managed by Paradigm Sports, headed up by Audie Attar.
And Attar has already promised his megastar clients will fight next year, due to the demand from the fans.

Tyson returned as a reformed fighter, dramatically transforming his body with a strict diet and training regime.
But it was his ability to walk away from consuming substances that paved the way for Iron Mike to enjoy a clean and healthy lifestyle.
He appeared on Below the Belt, and host Brendan Schaub noted how different the 54-year-old was compared to their last meeting, five years ago.
Tyson said: “That must of been my cocaine days.

“That was probably just a day I zoned out.
“I stopped doing cocaine and drinking, I’m serious man, everything changed, my whole life.”
Tyson has opened up in the past on his drinking and drug habits while he fought as one of the most popular boxers on the planet.
And his prime athletic years were lost to addiction and a three-year prison term, started in 1992, for a rape he still fiercely denies.

He even took cocaine and cannabis moments before walking out to fight Lou Savarese in 2000, which he won in just 38 seconds.
His substance abuse then carried on after retiring from the sport in 2005.
But, Tyson revealed to Schaub he stopped drinking and taking cocaine prior to the success of his Hotboxin podcast, launched in early 2019.
The former two-time champion still smokes marijuana and has his own cannabis empire with businessman Rob Hickman.
Tyson revealed before his comeback fight that his wife inspired him to start training again in order to lose weight.
And after putting in the work, it inspired him to lace up the gloves again having previously been approached for a return.

He went on to draw with fellow legend Roy Jones Jr, 52, in an eight round exhibition, selling a reported £1.6million pay-per-views.
Tyson plans to fight again this year and said he is ‘willing to die in the ring’ in order to reach ‘God status.
He explained: “I’m born to do this.
“I’m born to do this, ’til I reach God status. I’m just born to do this man.
“Dying (in the ring). That’s real talk man. That’s real talk. I don’t even know why I became this way.
“This is just what it is, this is how I’m built. I don’t know why.”

Canelo Alvarez next fight set to be Avni Yildirim on February 27 in Miami with Billy Joe Saunders next in line

CANELO ALVAREZ is close to announcing his next fight after a deal was struck with Avni Yildirim.
The Mexican superstar, 30, will face Yildirim on February 27 in Miami in a mandatory defence of his WBC title.

According to The Athletic, Eddie Hearn will promote the event at the Hard Rock Stadium.
It will allow the promoter to then work on a unification between Canelo and WBO champion Billy Joe Saunders.
Hearn worked with the four-division champion in December when he dominated Callum Smith.
Canelo’s lopsided points win earned him the WBC and WBA super-middleweight titles as well as the Ring Magazine belt.

But, immediately after the WBC gave Alvarez 90 days to agree a defence against 29-year-old Turk Yildirim.
It put any unification plans with Saunders, 31, or Caleb Plant, 28, on the shelve.
But it is understood should Canelo win, Hearn will then look to have Saunders fight the pound-for-pound king in the summer.

The pair were set to fight last May and June, until the coronavirus pandemic KO’d the headliner.

Instead, Canelo went after and dethroned Smith, 30, while Saunders sent British veteran Martin Murray, 38, into retirement.
Alvarez wanted his quick turnaround to take place in Mexico, a homecoming almost ten years in the making.
But travel restrictions amid the Covid-19 crisis has forced the title fight to take place Stateside.

Anthony Joshua fight with Tyson Fury takes huge step forward as WBO contact Oleksandr Usyk over Joe Joyce clash

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Tyson Fury have been given a huge boost after the WBO contacted Oleksandr Usyk over fighting Joe Joyce.

But it remains to be seen whether, for the first time in heavyweight history, all four world titles can be on the line.
Usyk, 33, is the current WBO mandatory challenger, so would need to either challenge for the vacant belt or receive step aside money.
The Ukrainian has hinted he is willing to be paid off, and his manager confirmed Frank Warren’s son has contacted him to fight Joyce, 35.
That would see the pair fight for the ‘interim’ belt, promising the winner a shot at the title next, or inheriting the full version if it was vacated.

It would also pave the way for Joshua, 31, and Fury, 32, to compete in an undisputed title decider – but only when Usyk receives his compensation cheque.
His manager Alexander Krassyuk told Sky Sports: “I received the call from George Warren with the offer to promote Usyk vs Joyce for the interim WBO heavyweight championship this spring.
“We also received the letter from WBO saying that they are considering granting sanction for AJ vs Fury.
“But Usyk has never received any serious offer nor anyone approached him with the offer to ‘step aside’. We all read it from media.

“I know that the WBO in general and its president Paco Valcarcel in particular will never violate the rules of its organisation and sanction the major fight without Usyk’s consent.
“So now is the best time for the AJ vs Fury fight promoters to make Usyk a serious offer either to fight the WBO champion or to step aside and fight for the interim.”
If Usyk is not paid step aside money, Joshua’s promoter has already warned they could drop the belt to ensure they face Fury.
But the Gypsy King has also been given a heavyweight headache, with Deontay Wilder refusing to concede their trilogy.
Wilder, 35, was dethroned of the WBC belt last February but the pair already had a third bout contracted.

Fury and his team later argued the immediate rematch clause expired in October and as a result want to instead face Joshua.
Wilder responded by launching a mediation to salvage his crack at redemption, which is now due to go to arbitration in a last-ditch effort.
The Bronze Bomber, if unsuccessful, could likely receive a similar payout to Usyk, as Eddie Hearn revealed his confidence in Joshua fighting Fury TWICE.
Promoter Hearn said: “[Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum] is not too concerned. He feels like the contract is over.
“There is an arbitration going on in that respect. I don’t see that as an issue.
“If there is, Fury has to give Wilder some kind of compensation to take these two fights.”
