Tommy Fury extends perfect professional record with quickfire KO of Scott Williams for fifth win

TOMMY ‘TNT’ FURY blasted out his latest journeyman to keep his professional fight career on track.
The Love Island heart throb and brother of WBC king Tyson handed Scott Williams his tenth consecutive defeat at the Copper Box inside two rounds.

Tommy Fury wasted little time in recording his fifth pro boxing win as he dispatched Scott Williams in LondonCredit: BT Sport

The Love Islander looked in top condition for his five minutes in the ring, finished with a powerful right hand to his opponent’s head

The hunk dropped his last-minute victim twice in the first round with some brutal body shots.
And he got the job done in the second session with a right hand that folded Williams into the ropes before ref Bob Williams rightly waved it off.
The 21-year-old light-heavyweight insists he has ditched reality TV for a serious ring career and went 5-0 with a comfortable win over Williams.
Handsome Fury copped some flak for the limited quality of his opponent, especially after talking about world titles in most of his interviews, but brushed it off with another victory.

Williams hit the canvas twice early doors but was wise enough to spit out his gumshield after the second decking to get some recovery time.
In the second, Williams was warned for running away but the moment he planted his feet he was floored again.
A booming right hand from Fury poleaxed Williams and he was correctly saved from his own bravery.
Victorious Tommy said: “I am trying different things and learning all the time. I only had 10 amateur fights so I am learning all the time.

“I want as many bouts as possible because experience is what I need.”
Dad John Fury: “He has had some quality sparring and we have taken our time looking for the right shots to deliver knockout blows.
“We are working away nice and slowly and we are going to work away slowly. He is a marketing dream and a fine specimen of a child.

Eddie Hearn reveals talks over Kell Brook and Eubank Jr fight with Amir Khan possibly missing out on grudge match

KELL BROOK could be poised for a huge all-British fight against Chris Eubank Jr.
Brook, 34, has been linked with rival Amir Khan throughout his career but a clash has never materialised.

Brook was beaten by Terence Crawford in his last fight back in NovemberCredit: Getty Images – Getty

And now promoter Eddie Hearn is talking up the possibility of Eubank Jr finally taking on Brook.
Speaking to Behind The Gloves, Hearn said: “I’m talking to Kalle Sauerland about doing something with him [Kell Brook] and Eubank, and I just felt there’s history there.”
Brook, a career welterweight, stepped up to middleweight in 2016 and was stopped in the fifth round by Gennady Golovkin.
Golovkin was originally set to face Eubank before negotiations fell through and Brook stepped in.

And Hearn believes that history between the two Brits could contribute to them both wanting to fight.
He added: “Kell took the Golovkin fight, and they had some beef back talk.
“I think Kell must move to 154 if he’s to carry on. Eubank, of course, is at 160. It’s just a random fight that I quite liked.
“Then Eubank came out in the media and said, ‘That would be a good warm-up fight, a tune-up.’ Kell sort of responded, you know.

“But I’m not sure that’ll happen, but I just like it; I think it’s interesting.”
Brook has lost three times in his career, to Golovkin, Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford.
Meanwhile Eubank, who has campaigned at both middleweight and super-middleweight, has been beaten by Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves.
In December, Khan finally revealed he wants to fight Brook after several years of dismissing the Sheffield boxer.
But now it would appear the Olympic silver medallist could have missed the boat as Brook-Eubank discussions heat up.

Tyson Fury’s dad John threatens to SPANK Eddie Hearn if he doesn’t ‘sign the f***ing contract’ for Anthony Joshua fight

JOHN FURY has threatened to SPANK Eddie Hearn if he doesn’t ‘sign the f***ing contract’ for son Tyson Fury’s fight with Anthony Joshua.
The Gypsy King, 32, and AJ have been set to go toe-to-toe in their all-British heavyweight unification fight since last February, when Fury beat Deontay Wilder to clinch the WBC belt.

John Fury has threatened to ‘spank’ Eddie Hearn if he doesn’t sign the AJ fight contractCredit: Instagram @gypsyjohnfury

But with the months melting by and still no contracts signed – with Fury claiming there are FOUR sticking points – dad John has lashed out at Joshua’s promoter.
When asked for his thoughts on Hearn, Fury Sr told IFL TV: “Don’t know him.
“I know Barry and the man’s never done me no harm. He’s always been right with me, the father, I don’t know the son.
“I don’t know him but he seems a bit arrogant to me.

“Cracked up the ear hole. Thats’s what you get round me in a second.
“I pull rank on them kind of people because I can. He’s not going to talk to me like that because I’ll stretch him.”
John then roared: “I’ll spank him like a kid and I don’t care if he sees this or not because it’s true.
“I don’t take the bulls*** mate, sign the document. You have it in front of you, sign it. Sign the f***ing contract.”

After hearing John’s comments, Hearn hilariously replied: “You know I’m scared by big John Fury.
“Can he just not do it too hard?”
Hearn then claimed John WILL get his wish as the Joshua-Fury fights edges yet closer.
AJ’s promoter said: “John Fury’s going to get his wish.
“We’re going to have a lot of fun in the build-up to the biggest fight in boxing.
“We are in, we are in. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
“The undisputed king is going to be Anthony Joshua and this fight will happen…
“This fight is on, trust me.”

Tyson Fury is confident he will beat AJ and become undisputed heavyweight world championCredit: Reuters

But Fury is in confident mood ahead of the monster showdown, saying he could beat AJ with one hand tied behind his back.
Fury told ESPN: “He only fought in December, so December – June is only six months out the ring.
“So, he’ll be a full year ahead of me in activity. But, I’m that much in front of him with skill, a year of inactivity doesn’t really do that much.
“But you can never beat being match-fit and being active and being out regular, any fighter will tell you the same.
“If you’re out regular and you’re match-fit, then you should be able to beat people that are inactive, that’s for sure.
“But I don’t make excuses, I had three-years out the ring, came back and beat Deontay Wilder’s ass.
“So, I’m sure I can beat Anthony Joshua with one arm tied behind my back, even after being out the ring for 16 months.”
SunSport understands a deal is set to be announced at the start of March and a non-disclosure agreement is keeping discussions top secret.

Furious Mike Tyson boycotts Hulu after they produce ‘unauthorised’ series on boxing legend during Black History Month

HEAVYWEIGHT legend Mike Tyson has called for a boycott against Hulu after they announced plans to launch an ‘unauthorised’ series on the legend’s life.
The streaming service revealed on Wednesday they were preparing to air an eight-part series called ‘Iron Mike.’

Mike Tyson has called for a boycott on streaming service HuluCredit: Instagram / @miketyson

Tyson, 54, was the youngest heavyweight champion of the world aged 20 and is regarded as the one of the greatest boxers to step inside the ring.
For all the highs he also experienced huge controversies including drug and alcohol addiction, imprisonment for rape, biting off a part of Evander Holyfield’s ear and bankruptcy.
He also allegedly hit his first wife, with Robin Givens describing life with Tyson as ‘torture, pure hell, worse than anything I could possibly imagine’.
A press release by Hulu read: “The series explores the wild, tragic and controversial life and career behind one of the most polarizing figures in sports culture – heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.”

But Iron Mike has launched a furious attack on the channel by claiming they are taking advantage of ‘corporate greed’ by making the announcement during Black History Month.
Calling for a boycott of the channel, he wrote on Instagram: “This announcement on the heels of social disparities in our country is a prime example of how Hulu’s corporate greed led to this tone-deaf cultural misappropriation of the Tyson life story.
“To make this announcement during Black History Month only confirms Hulu’s concern for dollars over respect for black story rights.
“Hollywood needs to be more sensitive to black experiences especially after all that has transpired in 2020.”

Tyson added: “The real Mike Tyson authorized story is in development and will be announced in coming days.
“Hulu to announce stealing a black athletes story during Black History month couldn’t be more inappropriate or tone deaf.”
Last summer Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx confirmed plans that production for a new biopic on Tyson’s career was well underway.

Boxing MC announces seven-day lockdown in middle of Joseph Parker vs Junior Fa fight card leaving fans gutted

NEW ZEALAND boxing fans were left gutted after the ring announcer for Joseph Parker’s win over Junior Fa told the packed arena they are going into a seven-day lockdown.
The country’s prime minister Jacinda Ardern announced the measures on Saturday night (NZ time) and the MC passed the message on to the crestfallen crowd.

Parker and Fa met at the Spark Arena in Auckland after their initial 2020 bout was postponed because of coronavirus.
The 12,000 capacity arena was packed with fans as the island nation have managed to contain the virus and New Zealanders currently face far fewer restrictions than Brits as a result.
But the buoyant mood was shattered when the announcer told the crowd Auckland would be locking down for a week from the following morning.
The measures have been implemented after a new local case of coronavirus of unknown origin emerged.

And the person had visited several public venues since they became infectious last Sunday.
As a result, Ardern said: “Based on this, we are in the unfortunate but necessary position to protect Aucklanders again.”
It comes just a fortnight after the North Island city’s 2million residents had to lock down for three days after a family of three tested positive for the highly contagious UK variant.
Fans online were stunned by the announcement during Parker’s 109-119, 113-115 and 111-117 points win.

Mad enough, room full of fans at the Parker v Fa boxing in Auckland yet they are going back into lockdown later. Lucky to get the boxing on with a cried.

Can you imagine announcing to a boxing crowd they are going back to lockdown… brave announcer & way to kill the fight mood #ParkerFa

“That was a tough fight, all credit to Joe. I learned a great lesson but I did not get caught with too many punches.”

After the new lockdown announcement, Joseph Parker-Junior Fa organisers are now rushing through the fight schedule to get this crowd of around 12,000 out of Spark Arena by 11:30pm. The main event was originally due to start at 11:10pm. pic.twitter.com/Za9wSfVCsR

Parker needs to use his jab to cut the distance down before launching attacks. Bell goes.

    ROUND ONE
Fa is the taller and heavier man but he is the mover already.
KO artist Parker is stalking and looking for a big blow.
It gets a little spicy in the clinch with rabbit punches.

Joseph Parker defeats Junior Fa via controversial unanimous judges decision as star targets return to title picture

JOSEPH PARKER defeated Junior Fa on points to reignite his hopes of returning to the heavyweight world title scene.
After 12 rounds, the judges controversially awarded the Kiwi star the unanimous decision, despite his rival believing the contest was much closer.

The 6ft 4ins star made an epic entrance in front of a packed Auckland crowd, channeling his inner Mike Tyson to perform the legend’s cameo in hit movie Hangover, as the locals lapped it up.
The former WBO champion, 28, lost his title to Anthony Joshua in March 2018.
Now he is plotting his rise back up into championship contention after dispatching Fa in Auckland this morning.
He looks to have set-up a rescheduled clash against Chisora after their original 2019 bout was cancelled when Parker suffered a spider bite.

And then he hopes to face the winner of Oleksandr Usyk and Joe Joyce later in 2021, who are already in talks about a WBO interim title fight.
Parker has only lost two of his 30 career fights, with both of these setbacks coming on British soil courtesy of AJ and Dillian Whyte.
However, he is relishing the prospect of potentially heading back to England this summer to face Chisora once crowds are allowed back.
