Floyd Mayweather in bidding war with ‘high-profile rapper’ to buy £1.9m Maybach also owned by Drake and DJ Khaled

FLOYD MAYWEATHER may have finally met his match as he is locked in a celebrity bidding war for a £1.9million Maybach car.
The boxing legend, also known as ‘Money Man’, is not shy in flaunting his staggering cash.

Mayweather, 44, usually gets what he wants which is evident with a stunning car collection worth around £20m.
But there’s one motor he might not be able to get his hands on.
Mayweather is in the market for the ultra-rare 2009 Maybach 62S Landaulet.
According to TMZ, there are only eight that have been made worldwide and two belong to artists Drake and DJ Khaled.

Car dealer Obi Okeke, who is flogging the luxury motor, has put a price-tag of £1.9m on it – or best offer.
The report adds Mayweather is in a bidding war with a high-profile rapper.
The latest bid has hit £1.4m but it’s still active so expect it to continue rising.
Mayweather, who retired from boxing with a 50-0 record, has earned a reported $1billion throughout his illustrious career.

A snippet of Floyd Mayweather’s remarkable car collection

Mayweather has a branded Rolls-Royce Phantom

The boxing legend also owns a Bugatti in white

So it would be no surprise to see the American land another knockout blow by making the highest offer.
Hans-Dieter Multhaupt, vice president of program management for Maybach, described the car as: “The Landaulet is for a superrich individual who wants something that is extremely extraordinary and enjoys being driven in a car with acres of sky above them.”
It is also described as a “chauffeur-driven limousine” with a soft partial convertible top with V12 Twin Turbo Engine and 620 horsepower.

Canelo Alvarez sets up Billy Joe Saunders May 8 unification fight as he destroys Avni Yildirim who QUITS on his stool

CANELO ALVAREZ set up his unification clash with Billy Joe Saunders by destroying Avni Yildirim in three brutal rounds.
The Turkish challenger was a 14/1 shots with many bookies – and those odds didn’t lie as he was blitzed.

Yildirim was asked by his corner if he was ok as he sat on his stool at the end of the third – he answered ‘yes’ but all that changed in a few seconds as his corner waved it off.
Canelo has spoken of how he wants four fights this year – and No2 is set to be against Brit Saunders in May.
After the easy win in Miami, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed Canelo, 30, will fight the WBO super middleweight and unbeaten champ on May 8.
The one-sided battering of Yildirim came just over two months since Canelo easily outpointed Liverpool’s Callum Smith to win the WBA super and WBC super-middleweight belts.

It was a decent exchange in the opening round – Canelo nodding his head at Yildirim as if to thank him for lasting the three minutes.
It wasn’t long until Yildirim was feeling Canelo’s power in the second, noticeably stumbling backwards a couple of times as the shots rained into the bread basket.
And the 29-year-old Turkish fighter was on the canvas after a beautiful right hand – but got to his feet quickly in the third.
Then followed shots raining in from all angles as Yildirim, who was KO’d by Chris Eubank Jr in 2017, was a rabbit in headlights.

And it was a rabbit Canelo was determined to run straight through in order to defend his world titles.
Speaking after his 55th win in 58 bouts, Canelo said: “I felt very good, it is great to be active and I wanted to have agreat fight.
“I needed the knockout and that is what I got.
“It does not matter if my opponents are taller or bigger, I have the right trainer to beat them all.
“At super-middle I feel strong and fast and comfortable, it is one of my best moments.
“I will fight anyone, the best, I am making history.”

Then on the future, he added: “I want everybody.
“Saunders is the WBO champion and I want to unify.
“Saunders will try to get under my skin, people talk but I am a mature fighter who controls myself. Words are just bluffs.
“No one in Latin America has ever been undisputed at super-middle and no one has done that in the world.
“I want to make my own history, I don’t want to be like anyone else. I respect everyone.”

Watch Mike Tyson arrive to watch Canelo Alvarez demolish Avni Yildirim in leather jacket and white shorts

BOXING legend Mike Tyson arrived in an interesting combo to watch Canelo Alvarez demolish Avni Yildirim in three one-sided rounds.
Flanked by a host of security guards, the 54-year-old opted to wear a black leather jacket with white shorts and white pumps.

Mike Tyson brought the leather jacket to town for the big fightCredit: Melina Pizano/Matchroom.

And of course the former heavyweight champion of the world had his coronavirus mask on too.
Iron Mike arrived at the Hard Rock Stadium Arena and was greeted by co-promoter of the event, Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn.
He then took his seat ringside to watch Mexican champ Canelo make light work of Yildirim.
Tyson has made a sensational return to the sport that saw him feared for years.

In December he drew with fellow Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition fight – and promised he will do more.
And in the Miami ring he watched on as Canelo showed brutality he was famous for to shatter Yildirim’s dreams of springing a huge shock.

Canelo vs Yildirim undercard: Zhilei Zhang’s dreams of fighting Anthony Joshua shattered after Jerry Forrest draw

ZHILEI ZHANG’S chances of fighting Anthony Joshua look up in smoke after he laboured to a draw against Jerry Forrest.
Zhang talked revenge on Joshua after suffering defeat in their amateur days in the quarter-finals at the 2012 Olympics in London.

Zhilei Zhang could only manage a draw against Jerry Forrest

    The 37-year-old believes a scrap with Britain’s heavyweight king would sell-out Beijing’s 100,000-seater Bird’s Nest Stadium.
However those dreams have been hammered.
The Chinese giant floored Forrest THREE TIMES, but was forced to settle for a majority draw on the Canelo versus Yildirim undercard after completely gasing out in the second half of the bout.
One judge gave it 95-93 to Forrest, with two other scoring it 93-93.

Zhang floored Forrest towards the end of the first round with a thudding right out of nowhere.
He survived the count before the bell signalled the end of the round.
Both men threw some hammering shots in the second before Zhang again scored another knockdown with a beauty of a right.
Forrest was ready to go out on his sword as he threw haymakers in a vain bid to score a knockdown himself – unfortunately they were far too wild.

    Zhang floored Forrest three times

And he was made to pay YET AGAIN at the start of the third round when he was sent crashing face-first to the floor.
The Big Bang was living up to his billing.
The fourth and fifth was a messy affairs, but at least Forrest stayed on his feet in this one – and the tide began to turn.
Zhang was finally warned by the referee in the sixth for constant pushing down – something which was clearly contributing to Forrest’s lethargy.

Both fighters tired as the fight dragged on
But as the clock ticked on it was Zhang who was gassing heavily in there.
Forrest kept on pludering through the seventh, and in the eighth it was as if he sensed blood.
And the red stuff started to flow with the Chinese giant Zhang complaining of a headbutt.
A healthy lead thanks to three knockdowns was being eroded by plucky ‘slugger’ Forrest with Zhang barely able to hold himself up in the ninth and the American landing at will.
A point was finally deducted from Zhang for persistent holding – leaving the fight very much in the balance.
Forrest, 32, came out swinging like a madman in the last, desperate to take advantage of Zhang’s meltdown in the right.
And he easily won the round, coming mightily close to flooring the exhausted Chinese fighter.
But the two bruisers were forced to share the spoils after an absorbing encounter.

Canelo vs Yildirim undercard: Watch moment Marc Castro floors former UFC star John Moraga just SEVEN SECONDS into fight

TOP boxing prospect Marc Castro floored former UFC star John Moraga just SEVEN SECONDS into their fight.
And all it took was a right-hand jab in what was the 21-year-old’s first punch of the Miami scrap.

Moraga looks like he could hardly believe what happenedCredit: DAZN

Unsurprisingly, Castro went on to win the bout after sending Moraga crashing to the canvas twice more before the fight was waved off.
That victory took decorated amateur Castro to two KO wins in two, while late stand-in Moraga will be wondering whether boxing is his future.
The 36-year-old has won once and lost three times since swapping the octagon for the boxing ring.
Moraga is a former UFC flyweight title challenger where he has eight wins and six losses from his 14 fights.

His last scrap in Dana White’s organisation came in 2018 when he was KO’d by punches by Deveison Figueiredo.
The super-featherweight bout was the show opener with Canelo Alvarez topping the bill against unfancied Avni Yildirim.
Should the Mexican make what many expect to be a successful world title defence, he is then set to face British super-middleweight champ Billy Joe Saunders in May.
Canelo has lost only once in his 57-fight career – and that was against many people’s best ever in Floyd Mayweather back in 2013.

BOXING SPECIAL: GET CANELO TO BEAT YILDIRIM AT 20/1

The referee gives the count – Moraga would go on to be floored two more times

Since then Canelo has gone on to win world titles in FOUR weight divisions as he looks set to rival Mayweather on the GOAT list.
He is 1/25 with most bookies to beat Yildirim.
The Turkish opponent has 21 wins and two losses – one of which came against Brit Chris Eubank in 2017.

    THE CHALLENGER
Make no mistake, Yildirim isn’t simply in Miami tonight to make up the numbers.
He’s a talented performer and the Turk is confident he can pull of a huge upset.
He told SunSport: “Canelo is an outstanding fighter and a great champion. But he is not invincible. He is human just like me. We‘ll see what happens.
“I am perfectly prepared, ready to go and can‘t wait to walk into the ring. I will do my best to make my people proud.
“It can only be good for me if he thinks of [Billy Joe Saunders] instead of me. I hope he does. But I‘m sure that I will get his attention. We will all find out Saturday night.”

    WHO IS ON THE BILL?
Two title fights in Florida tonight – who says we don’t spoil you?

    ‘WE WANT TO MAKE HISTORY’
Billy Joe is next up for Canelo if he gets things right in Miami tonight.
He said: “It’s important for me and my trainer Eddy [Reynoso], because very few people have achieved becoming undisputed champions.
“And that’s a short-term goal for us. To win all the titles at 168 pounds.
“Obviously, no Mexican has ever done it. So that’s our short-term goal, to keep making history. And that’s what we want.
“Eddy and I have always wanted the best. And we want to keep making history.”

    CANELO VS YILDIRIM
    He’s back.
Canelo Alvarez returns to the ring tonight just two months after taking apart a game Callum Smith.
Billy Joe Saunders is on the horizon for the Mexican sensation – but first he has to make the mandatory defence of his super-middleweight title’s.
Avni Yildirim is the man tasked with taking down Canelo, who has a pro record of 54-1-2 with a crazy 36 KO’s.
The Turkish Wolf meanwhile comes into this one with 21 wins from his 23 fights. Definitely not too shabby.
Unification might be the ultimate aim for Alvarez, but this is a test he has to overcome if he wants that to happen.
There’s a packed card on the way from Miami, with Julio Cesar Martinez and McWilliams Arroyo going for the WBC world flyweight title.
We’ll be with you every step of the way, with the main event getting going around 4am GMT.
Get that coffee ready and strap in for a classic Stateside fight night.

    ACTION SHOTS – TOMMY FURY

The action was too quick for the camera

The referee waved it off in the second round

Fury remains undefeated as a pro boxer

    ALL EYES TO CANELO!
Tonight’s UK show has come to a close – but your weekend fill of boxing is far from over.
Mexican legend Canelo Alvarez headlines a show in the US when he defends his world titles against rank outsider Avni Yildirim.
SunSport will be blogging the entire show so make sure to check back to the website for more heavy hitting!

    AHMED WINS IT!
Judges give it even 95-95, 96-95, 96-94 by majority decision.

WE GO TO THE JUDGES’ SCORECARDS…
Decent little scrap, Ahmed definitely won the earlier rounds, but Khademi’s classier boxing told as the rounds wore on.
Either way it SHOULD be a close one… but this is boxing judging.

    ROUND 10 – FINAL ROUND
Both corners tell their men how important this round could be.
Ahmed perhaps been more aggressive, but Khademi boxed better in there.
Both boxers trading leather here, this round could really swing it. Lovely solid left from Khademi as he lands the classier shots.

    ROUND NINE
Ahmed having less success now – maybe he thinks the KO dream won’t happen.
Khademi lands some shots that see Ahmed turned around looking like he wanted the ref to intervene – he didn’t.

    ROUND EIGHT
Richie Woodhall has it dead level 67-67 as we head into the eighth.
Khademi looks a bit ‘too’ relaxed in there and Ahmed can land when he wants.

    ROUND SEVEN
Ahmed does fancy this here. Looks busier than Khademi here and whipping shots in.
Khademi might be finishing the round the stronger but this is one close fight.

    ROUND SIX
Brilliant work from Ahmed late on, probably sneaks here.
Khademi did the better work in the early part of it but Ahmed comes on strong.
Ahmed’s corner tell him to ‘get him out of there’.

    ROUND FIVE
Khademi showing some good defence as Ahmed really applying pressure here.
Is the champ struggling with the pace here?

    ROUND FOUR
Ahmed’s corner begging their man to ‘work’ – they clearly fancy the upset here.
Khademi finding his range far better now, but seems like he wants too much time and space after landing.

    ROUND THREE
Little to choose between the two.
It’s not boring by any stretch – but hasn’t quite set alight as many expected.

    ROUND TWO
    Again both boxers going toe-to-toe.
Body shots landed throughout, Ahmed swinging in some good overhand rights.

    ROUND ONE
Both boxers happy to trade, Ahmed not giving Khademi the space to operate at all.
Some decent success on the inside.

UP NEXT – MAIN EVENT – AHMED VS KHADEMI
Fair bit of interest around this fight.
Khademi escaped the Taliban to end up in East London.

    WELL, THAT WAS BRUTAL…

    JOHN FURY
“He is only a novice, and he’s done that to him.
“He is in a no-win situation, he has come off Love Island, people can expect too much from no boxing experience.
“We have a small circle and will bring him on right.
“He is a marketing dream, he is a handsome fella and he can punch. I will upgrade him when he needs.
“I got one king now, I have two coming, if people can’t see his potential they need to go to Specsavers, this kid has got it all.”
    On Tyson
“He is motivated. Forget how he looks, he is as strong as three men. I am fat, fat as a pig yet I can run 10 mile.
“Fat wins world titles and my son proved it.”

TOMMY FURY SPEAKING NOW… AND DAD JOHN
“I am trying different things, learning on the way.
“I am in the public eye, no matter what I do everyone will have an opinion, as long as my family see I don’t care about anyone’s opinions.
“Boxing is the hardest sport in the world, but at the end of the way I am a novice boxer. I have my dad there guiding me, I can’t go wrong.”

FURY WINS – TKO ROUND TWO
Victory once again for Tommy Fury.
2mins 5secs of round two, Williams was counted out. TNT Fury victorious.

ROUND TWO – IT’S ALL OVER
Williams was warned for ‘running away’ by the referee.
A minute later he was floored by a quick combo before it was waved off.
Not sure what we learnt there…

ROUND ONE – WILLIAMS DOWN AGAIN!
Outsider hits the deck again, gumshield is out.
Fights on – but desperate to grab. Can he make the end of the first round?
YES! A victory in itself for Williams.

    ROUND ONE
    WILLIAMS DOWN!
Great body punch from Fury with more than a minute to go.

TOMMY FURY VS SCOTT WILLIAMS – HERE WE GO!!
Both from Manchester – who will reign supreme?
    We could hazard a guess…

    FURY ON RINGWALK
Here he comes, the man who has had just over seven minutes of pro action.
How many of his 3.2m Instagram followers are watching here?!

HE’S UP NEXT – TOMMY FURY!
The younger brother of WBC heavyweight king Tyson and Love Island star Tommy Fury is out next.
    We aren’t anticipating a long night…

Joseph Parker understands he must massively up game to beat Derek Chisora this summer after controversial Junior Fa win

New Zealander Parker went the distance with his compatriot in a nip-and-tuck fight that could have gone either way.
But the three ringside judges somehow saw it as a landslide in Parker’s favour: 109-119, 113-115 and 111-117.
Parker, 29, knows he dodged a bullet and has vowed to be better against Chisora – in a fight that was originally cancelled in 2019 when he suffered a spider bite.
The Kiwi – who was watched by 12,000 fans before Auckland went back into lockdown – said: “It was a great night.

“They came here to fight and it was a lot closer than expected.
“Fa put on a great  performance and we have to go back and work on a lot of things.
“It just showed the ring-rust you can end up with after a year out.”
Now Parker, who has only lost to Brits Joshua and Dillian Whyte, wants to return to the UK for an overdue showdown this summer with Del Boy.

Parker added: “I love the UK.
