Canelo Alvarez predicts Billy Joe Saunders KO in just three-rounds and has plans for UK fight and retirement at 37

CANELO ALVEREZ believes he will knockout Billy Joe Saunders in three rounds – and then plans to fight across the world including the UK before retiring.

Canelo set up his unification clash with Saunders by destroying Avni Yildirim in three brutal rounds on Saturday.
That came just two months after he outclassed Callum Smith in Texas – and he reckons his next foe will be ‘easy work’ just like the last two.
His promoter Eddie Hearn told the AK & Barak Show on DAZN: “I said to him, ‘BJS is a tough fight.’
“I said, ‘It won’t be easy work like Yildirim,’ and he said, ‘Yildirim was easy work. Smith was easy work. Saunders is easy work.'”

Hearn, who continues to work on getting the bumper heavyweight unification clash between his man Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury confirmed, also revealed Canelo’s long-term goals.
He claims if the 30-year-old beats BJS to become undisputed middleweight king then the star has told him he wants to go international.
That would involve having money-spinning fights across the world in places such as the Middle East, China and right here in Great Britain.
However, Hearn also says Canelo plans to fight for just seven more years before hanging up his gloves and retiring.

He would halt his career at 37 if he fulfils that promise.

Saunders decided to mark the official announcement of securing his dream match by wearing an apron with a fake penis and testicles attached as he went live on Instagram early on Sunday.
And he started the mind games early by saying: “Alright people, I just wanted to say a big thank you to Canelo, I’m such a big fan.
“I’ve been training a long time for this, I’ve been waiting a long, long time. It’s been frustrating waiting, but thank you sir for this opportunity.
“I’m only just gonna come, pick my money up and go home, you know. It’s one of them. It’s gonna be good, it’s gonna be very good.
“I just wanna thank everybody this morning watching this, I’m just proud to be alive. I’m so happy to even be here taking part in this event.
“To take part in this event, obviously I’m not gonna win, just gonna go there, just turn up looking at the numbers.”

Tommy Fury calls out Jake Paul for fight ‘any time, anywhere’ as YouTube rival blasts back ‘you look like Tyson’s s***’

LOVE ISLAND star Tommy Fury has taken Jake Paul’s bait by calling him out for a fight.
His half-brother and WBC champ Tyson Fury sparked the initial match-up after Tommy’s knockout win over journeyman Scott Williams.

After praising his bro on Twitter, Tyson commented: “@jakepaul where you at?”
Youtuber Paul, 24, wasted little time in responding by goading Tommy into a potential bout.
He took to Instagram and said: “I get to the bottom of the tweet and I see that he (Tyson) has called me out to fight someone.
“The tweet is about his brother and I thought ‘I didn’t even know he had a brother.’

“And then he’s calling me out to fight his brother. I’m like ‘bro what the f*** is going on here?’
“If Tyson Fury took a s***, it would be his little brother – this little kid.
“My point is, ‘dear Tyson Fury’s little brother, if you want to fight me don’t let your big bro do s*** for you.
“‘Log in to Instagram or Twitter and call me out yourself.'”

Jake Paul goaded Tommy Fury on Instagram

It appears a potential money-spinning fight could be given the green light after Tommy fell right into his trap.
He posted a video on Twitter saying: “I see someone is having a little bit of something to say… Mr Jake Paul.
“I don’t need anybody to do my dirty work, I’ll call you out myself right now.
“You can fight me, any place, any time, anywhere. All you’ve got to do is get in touch.”
Light-heavyweight Tommy extended his record to 5-0 with his routine win over Williams.

His potential opponent Paul is 2-0 with as many knockout since turning pro in 2020.
He beat online rival ‘AnEsonGib’ before leaving ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 36, out cold in November on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s comeback fight.
Paul’s next fight is on April 17, facing retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 36. More

It won the praise of Tyson, the unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion, who then challenged YouTuber Paul to fight his younger sibling.
He tweeted: “@jakepaul where you at?”
The social media star, 24, is 2-0 with as many knockout since turning pro in 2020.

Tommy, 21, has won twice since coming out of ITV’s popular villa, where he was runner-up alongside girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.
He opened the door to fighting KSI, 27, in 2019 after the Brit YouTuber beat Jake’s older brother Logan, 25, by split-decision.
But for now, Tommy is making up for his lack of amateur experience by fighting as frequently as he possibly can.

He said: “I am trying different things and learning all the time. I only had ten amateur fights so I am learning all the time.
“I am in the public eye so I don’t really worry about people’s opinions, as long as my friends and family are happy with me, I am happy.
“Boxing is the hardest sport in the world and I am a novice, but I have my dad with me so I cannot go wrong.
“I want as many bouts as possible because experience is what I need.”

Mike Tyson was a ‘karate master’ who used a ‘peekaboo’ style of boxing to become the sport’s most feared fighter

MIKE TYSON was a ‘karate master’ who used a ‘peekaboo’ style of boxing, according to expert Jesse Enkamp.
Iron Mike dominated the heavyweight division during the 1980s and 90s.

Winning his first world title aged just 20, Tyson bamboozled opponents for over a decade, and was known for his ferocious power.
But according to popular karate expert and YouTuber Jesse Enkamp, Iron Mike was also a master of of the martial art.
Enkamp said on his YouTube channel: “To be honest, old school boxing looks very similar to traditional karate, because both are done without any protection (bare-knuckles), and you don’t really use any rules.”
He also added: “As I like to say, don’t be a martial artist… be a ‘smartial’ artist.

“Mike Tyson is a karate master.”
Enkamp enlisted the help of boxing trainer Jay Elder to help his theory.
But Elder didn’t necessarily agree with all of his suggestions.
He said: “That means Tyson’s got to be quicker than the other person because he’s further away (from them), but he’s rolling off his shoulders and his hips to throw.

    “It’s a lot more square.
“He’s incredibly fast, and if you watch he’s just bobbing, rolling and throwing. I’ve never seen that in karate.”
With Enkamp repeatedly needing to be told to keep his head down, Elder adds: “That’s a karate habit, because you want to keep your head back. So the chin is a little bit up.
“That’s a huge difference between karate and boxing.”

He then explains: “Because you kick in karate, you have to have a more upright body.
“You need the space to kick.
“Whereas boxing, I’m not going to throw my legs.
“It’s different. In boxing, you’ve got to almost sit.”

Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul tale of the tape: How Love Island star and YouTuber compare as Tyson calls for celebrity fight

TYSON FURY called on Jake Paul to step into the ring and face his half-brother Tommy.
American YouTuber Paul has two knockout wins from his first two pro fights.

Meanwhile, ex-Love Island star Tommy extended his winning record with a comprehensive second-round victory over journeyman Scott Williams at the weekend.
And that led to WBC heavyweight champ Tyson tweeting: “Jake Paul where you at?”
So how do the potential rivals compare?
Paul turned 24 in January and is more than two years older than his British counterpart, who will celebrate his 22nd birthday in May.

Both fighters have unblemished records – Fury is 5-0 and Paul’s 2-0.
Of Fury’s five wins, four have been by KO, while both of Paul’s finished inside the distance.
Both fight with an orthodox stance – the 6ft 1in Paul is just an inch taller than Fury but ‘TNT’ has the longer reach, 80ins to 76ins.
The big one, though, is the Instagram followers and who would have the bigger fan base behind them cheering on from home.

Reality TV sensation Fury boasts an impressive 3.2m.
But ‘The Problem Child’ – younger brother of fellow YouTuber Logan – blows his rival out of the water with a whopping 14.6m.
Paul’s next fight is on April 17, facing retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 36.
Tommy has won twice since coming out of ITV’s popular villa, where he was runner-up alongside girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.

Vasyl Lomachenko slams Devin Haney as ‘coward’ and brands rival keyboard warrior as talks over fight ramp up

VASYL LOMACHENKO labelled Devin Haney a ‘coward’ after the American called him out online.
The pair got into a bitter spat on Twitter with Ukrainian star Lomachenko branding Haney a keyboard warrior for not arranging a ‘real fight’.

Haney sparked the head to head by questioning Loma’s absence since his defeat to Teofimo Lopez.
He tweeted: “Where tf is Loma?”
Despite not tagging the former world champ, the 33-year-old European replied three days later and angrily hit back accusing Haney of hiding behind his computer.
He said: “I’m here! I’m waiting for you cowards to decide on a real fight, and not on a Twitter fight.”

Lomachenko seems to have shied away from the limelight since suffering only his second career defeat to Lopez in October.
Meanwhile, Haney defended his WBC title with a points victory over Yuriorkis Gamboa the month after.
Despite Haney’s 25 consecutive wins, any fight with Loma would be his toughest test yet – although the rest of the Twitter exchange suggests he isn’t scared.
Haney wrote: “Waiting is not your best bet I would think you learned that from the Teo fight.”
