And shortly after the postponement of the fight, the 44-year-old Mayweather publicly called out Paul and his old friend 50 Cent.
Paul, 24, wasn’t in the slightest bit surprised by the call-out, telling ES News: “He’s thirsty for clout.
“He’s just calling everyone out. 50 Cent, my brother. But I cooked him, I put him on stilts.
“I had him like this, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.”
Paul, who is gearing up for a boxing match with former UFC star Ben Askren, was on the receiving end of a blistering rant from Mayweather in early February.
The Money man wrote: “Jake Paul is talking about he don’t do exhibitions, them two bulls**t boxing matches he had were exhibitions.

“You go from groupie fan to a fake professional fighter, this world is crazy.”
A new date for Mayweather’s clash with Logan has yet to be finalised, although the boxing legend has claimed he’ll bank a huge payday for facing the YouTuber.
He told Rob Moore: “I can fight a fighter right now and guarantee myself $35 million.
“Eventually, I can probably make $50 million, right? It’s just a regular fight.

“Or me and Logan Paul and a YouTuber can go out and have fun and make nine figures, a $100 million or more.
“So if you were me and you were retired because everyone thinks that you’re at home with your feet up, and you’re picking up weight, your growing, and your hair is getting grey.
“I prefer to still go out, entertain and have fun. Just because I go out, entertain, and have fun doesn’t mean I still want to fight.
“I mean, I still want to fight as far as 12 rounds.”

Tyson Fury’s coach wants TEN warm-up fights within days in extreme ‘old school’ tactic to prepare for Anthony Joshua

TYSON FURY’S trainer SugarHill Steward is ready to go ‘old school’ in the Gypsy King’s preparations for Anthony Joshua… by lining up 10 warm-up fights within days. The WBC heavyweight champ’s hugely-anticipated scrap with Brit rival AJ was finally confirmed earlier this week.

The pair have signed contracts for a £200million, two-fight showdown this year to determine who will be undisputed heavyweight champ.
A date and venue has yet to be agreed although the first leg is expected to take place in June, potentially in the Middle East.
Fury, 32, hasn’t fought since his stunning victory over Deontay Wilder in February 2020.
But SugarHill has a plan to emphatically dust of the cobwebs to get Fury in prime condition.
Speaking via the MyBettingSites.co.uk blog, he said: “Remember the movie Diggstown with Louis Gossett Jr, he had to fight ten guys within days or something?
“Let’s get Tyson to do that. Let’s put him in there for a fight a month.
“If he’s ready let’s give him a fight a month against the top ten guys and take on each contender.
“Old school boxing like Ray Robinson, they fought, then they fought three weeks later.

“Why not fight if you stay ready? What a challenge and what statement that would be. A lot of fighters want to fight once or twice a year, but if you’re ready why not fight?
“I told Tyson that and he just smiled. I don’t think he’d mind it. He just smiled and laughed, one of those Tyson Fury laughs. Tyson’s a throwback fighter, he likes all that old school stuff.”
Joshua’s last fight came in December when he KO’d Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev.
But Tyson insists even the ring rust does not make up for the skill disparity he reckons he sees between himself and AJ.
Fury told ESPN: “He only fought in December, and December to June is only six months out the ring.
“So, he’ll be a full year ahead of me in activity. But, I’m that much in front of him with skill, a year of inactivity doesn’t really do that much.
“But you can never beat being match-fit and being active and being out regular, any fighter will tell you the same.

“If you’re out regular and you’re match-fit, then you should be able to beat people that are inactive, that’s for sure.
“But I don’t make excuses, I had three-years out the ring, came back and beat Deontay Wilder’s ass.
“So, I’m sure I can beat Anthony Joshua with one arm tied behind my back, even after being out the ring for 16 months.”

But not everyone was convinced by his feat of strengthCredit: INSTAGRAM@JAKEPAUL
And during his latest strength and conditioning session, the former Disney star appeared to pull a full-sized fire engine with nothing but his own body weight.
Paul shared the video to his social media pages with the accompanying caption: “I’m literally a tow truck.”
The 24-year-old then shared his prediction for his imminent clash with the former ONE Championship and Bellator 170lb titleholder.
He added: “Ben Askren eatin Oreos right now. April 17th. 1 round knockout.”
While the video of Paul’s apparent feat of strength stunned several of his followers, many of them were sceptical of the legitimacy of the clip.
One fan tweeted: “IDK is someone driving it looks like its not fake idk.”

Another said: “He definitely got someone on kneeling on the floor of the truck pushing the pedals.”
And another said: “Your brother is driving slowly with tinted windows and ducked down and you know it.”
Some viewers also questioned the benefits of Paul pulling the mammoth vehicle.
One said: “What does that have to do with boxing training?
“I’m sure any pro trainer would advise against something like that.”
Another said: “What does this have to do with training for a boxing match?”
And another said: “Didn’t know pulling was related to boxing haha.”
Paul is 2-0 as a boxer following stoppage wins over fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib and former NBA star Nate Robinson last year.
And the social media star is confident of turning in a flawless performance against 36-year-old Askren.

Oleksandr Usyk tells Joe Joyce to ‘fall in line’ after rejecting ‘unsustainable’ first offer for summer fight

OLEKSANDR USYK has ordered Joe Joyce to fall in line with his demands if he wants their summer showdown. The undisputed cruiserweight king is mandatory for Anthony Joshua’s WBO world title but is being forced to wait for his crack while the Tyson Fury fight is being negotiated.

The WBO has suggested the Ukraine southpaw enjoy his third heavyweight fight against the Putney Juggernaut for an interim strap and the 34-year-old looks set to begrudgingly agree.
But the Olympic 2012 champion has knocked back the opening offer from 35-year-old Joyce and his promoter Frank Warren and countered with a deal of his own.
The undefeated ace said: “Joyce’s team made us an offer. The offer was unsuitable, so we made a more viable counter-offer.
“Joyce shouldn’t think too much of himself and fall in line with everyone else.
“I’ll be the one making the final decision.”
The formula for deciding a WBO purse split means big-money Usyk could get a whopping 93 per cent of their earnings from their prospective purse.
Joyce’s team has understandably scoffed at that algorithm, labelling the seven per cent offer “ridiculous”, especially after their man bludgeoned red-hot prospect Daniel Dubois in November and is now one of the biggest names backed by BT Sport.
But Usyk’s co-promoter Alex Krassyuk insists the payment plan is written down for all to see and accept.

“The purse split is a matter of mathematics not of anything else,” he said.
“The calculation is very simple. Three last declared purses of Usyk plus three last declared purses of Joyce equals the total pot.
“Usyk’s purse divided to the total pot multiplied by 100 per cent equals his percentage.
    “Mathematics cannot be ridiculous.”

Jake Paul brands Conor McGregor’s loss to Dustin Poirier ‘the worst’ in UFC history but admits he ‘respects’ Irishman

JAKE PAUL reckons Conor McGregor’s recent defeat to Dustin Poirier was ‘the worst’ in UFC history. The former two-division champion suffered a brutal second-round KO loss to his old featherweight rival at UFC 257 in January.

The manner of McGregor’s defeat to the former interim lightweight champion raised questions over his status as an elite 155-pounder.
YouTube star Paul believes the loss has done huge damage to The Notorious’ legacy, telling ES News: “That’s the worst loss I think I’ve ever seen in the UFC.
“From like a status perspective, like, it almost ruined his legacy.”
A blockbuster trilogy fight between the pair, both 32, is in the works for the summer.
And like many others, Paul believes the fight is a must-win for Ireland’s first UFC champion.
He continued: “Obviously, they’re probably going to have a trilogy fight.
CHELTENHAM SPECIAL OFFER: GET £110 IN FREE BETS

“But if he loses that trilogy fight in the same way, Conor McGregor’s legacy is over.”
Paul, 24, aggressively pursued a boxing match with McGregor before the Irishman’s spectacular defeat to Poirier, going to great lengths to troll him on social media.
But the former Disney star reckons a fight with the UFC’s poster boy is no longer as lucrative as it once was.
He said: “And at this point, the Jake Paul – Conor McGregor fight isn’t even as exciting because he can’t even win at his own sport.
“Obviously it’d still be a huge fight and obviously I’d still wanna do it, but he needs to win at his own sport first, honestly.”
Despite his X-rated attempts to goad McGregor into fighting him, Paul – who is gearing up for a boxing match with former UFC star Ben Askren – has the utmost respect for the pride of Dublin.
He said: “I talk shit to Conor, but at the end of the day, I respect him.
“I respect what he’s built, I respect who he is. And he changed the game for every fighter in the future.”

The third instalment of McGregor vs Poirier is expected to take place in July or August.
Paul’s clash with Askren, meanwhile, will take place on April 17 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The younger Paul brother is brimming with confidence ahead of his showdown with the former Bellator and ONE Championship welterweight king, recently saying: “I don’t even think he’ll hit me.
“I haven’t been hit one time in the face in my past two fights.
“So I haven’t even been punched as pro boxer one time. Nate Robinson landed one body shot in a clinch.

Eddie Hearn insists he DID have Tyson Fury’s blessing to announce Anthony Joshua fight as he hits back at Frank Warren

EDDIE HEARN has insisted he DID have the green light to announce that Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury signed to fight each other. AJ’s promoter told ESPN that the heavyweight champions have put pen to paper on a two-fight deal.

Fury’s UK backer Frank Warren hit out at Hearn and revealed their side were ‘not happy’ it was made public.
Hearn, whose dad Barry once worked with Warren, explained the fight is not yet official, with a date and venue left to be agreed.
But he simply responded to question on whether the fight had been signed, and said he had permission from Fury’s side to share the news.
Hearn told iFL TV: “Yesterday’s interview, not announcement, interview with ESPN was, we didn’t want to make a big formal announcement and a fuss. But I wanted to let everyone know.
“I spoke to Fury’s team and they were happy to convey to everybody that everybody had signed because it’s good news.
“It’s called momentum, it’s excitement. There are still hurdles to overcome.
“We’ve still got to go out and decide where this is going to take place but we are moving in the right direction in terms of dates. It’s momentum, it’s good news.
“You guys have been waiting for good news and we’ve kept saying ‘two weeks, two weeks’ but when you get a fight as big as this, with the two fighters and all the teams putting pen to paper, let’s celebrate it and let’s move forward and get this done. That’s what we intend to do.”

Now Joshua, 31, and Fury, 32, have signed their agreement, promoters have 30 days to agree a site and date.
Either heavyweight champion can then opt out of the deal, should they not be happy with the terms.
But Hearn has reiterated that despite a deal being signed, no official announcement will come until there is a host and a date.
And it is understood once all the loose ends are tied up, Joshua, Fury, their management groups and promoters will announce the fight together.

Hearn continued: “I think Frank said ‘it was agreed we would do announcements’ there wasn’t an announcement, I confirmed with Fury’s team and they were happy for that to be mentioned.
“So that’s what happened. It wasn’t a case of meeting tweeting ‘IT’S ON!’, it was just ‘I’ve heard you’ve all signed now, is that correct?’ and ‘yes we have signed we’re now moving forward to confirm the date and the venue’.
“And I think we should celebrate it, myself, Anthony, 258 Management have worked really hard to get this done.
“So we have still got work to do but how good is it that everybody has put pen to paper?
“Nobody can be accused of not trying to get this done from our side or their side. Now we’ve got to go and finish the job.”

Anthony Joshua brands himself ‘the landlord’ after signing whopping £500m two-fight deal to face rival Tyson Fury

And AJ seemingly declared himself the king of the heavyweights 24 hours later by posting a picture with the accompanying caption: “The landlord.”
Joshua, 31, first labelled himself the ‘the landlord’ during a heated press conference with Jarrell Miller in February 2019.
And he continued to use the moniker after the American failed a trio of drug tests and was pulled from their Madison Square Garden showdown.
He said: “Good luck to the kid Jarrell Miller whatever he does with his life.
“As I said, I’m not gonna knock him when he’s down.
“But he doesn’t even deserve to be in the ring with me or any other heavyweight right now.

“June 1, MSG, still going ahead. The landlord will still come and collect his rent.
“And by the way, to Miller’s mum: ‘I still love you and if there’s anything I can do for you, just let me know’.”
Despite Joshua and Fury signing contracts to face one another, their long-awaited showdown is far from a done deal.
A venue for the multi-million-pound bout has yet to be finalised, despite a slew of offers from abroad.

And Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn has claimed there’s a chance the biggest fight in the history of British boxing could yet collapse.
When asked if all the hard work could end up being for nothing, Hearn told iFL TV: “Yeah, if people don’t like the deal.
“Ultimately everyone is going to go now and look for the biggest site fee as a team and then present it to the fighters.
“There’s no fight financially that will come close to this for both guys.

“Already the offers we have are considerable so I don’t see an issue with that.
“I just think some people are more optimistic than others.
“Our track record speaks for itself.
“We are the only ones to deliver a major fight in the Middle East with a major site deal and the people who we did that deal are desperate to stage this fight.”

Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders fight could take place in front of 70,000 fans in Dallas, confirms Eddie Hearn

SAUL ‘CANELO’ ALVAREZ could be set to fight Britain’s Billy Joe Saunders in front of 70,000 fans in Dallas, according to promoter Eddie Hearn. The Mexican superstar will attempt to unify the WBC and WBA super-middleweight titles with Saunders’ WBO strap when they face off on May 8.
Canelo has not lost in a professional boxing ring for seven and a half yearsCredit: EPA
And while Canelo traditionally fights in Las Vegas, his last two contests have been in other US states due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As a result, Hearn has revealed that the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium is the front runner to welcome a near-capacity crowd for the blockbuster fight.
Speaking to iFL TV, he said: “Look, it’s between Vegas and Dallas.
“Everyone loves to go to Vegas but the issue at the moment is I think it’s at 20 per cent capacity (for venues) with the potential to go to 50 per cent maybe in the next couple of weeks.
“Dallas, the meeting with the Cowboys and Jerry Jones (Cowboys general manager), is that we would be allowed 70,000 people there by May.
“So, even selfishly it would be the most incredible event.
“We are just finalising everything at the moment and there will be an official announcement regarding the Canelo event on Thursday.”
In typical Billy Joe fashion, Hearn was forced to deny the WBO champ had ‘ruptured his testicle’ after the Brit went on a social media wind-up earlier this week.

Saunders and Canelo are on a combined run of 44 fights without defeat

And while Saunders continues to jovially play down his chances in the fight with Alvarez – who has not lost since he fought Floyd Mayweather in 2013 – Hearn believes he has as good a chance as anyone to topple the Mexican star.
He said: “I know Billy is training hard. This is the kind of fight that Billy switches on for.
“Billy knows that if he wins this fight – is it the greatest win for a British fighter on away territory of all-time?
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Billy Joe Saunders has it in him to produce the performance.
“He’s one of those guys that when he’s flat, he’s flat. When he’s unmotivated, he’s unmotivated. But when’s switched on and sharp he is one of the best fighters in the world.
“And he is, in my opinion, the most dangerous threat to Canelo Alvarez. And I know that he has the bit between his teeth. And probably a bit of fear in his belly that he needs to be at his very best. I believe he will be. I can’t wait.”
